1401  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran bans "homosexual" and "devil worshipping" hairstyles on: May 06, 2015, 02:36:52 PM
That doesn't even make sense. In case you don't know, wars are increasingly being fought by machines now and will eventually be totally fought by machines in the future, ever heard of drones? Preserving so called "Masculinity" has been the root cause of all the death and mayhem found throughout the ages in the various wars fought by stupid men.

Currently or in the next few decades drones will not be able to replace simple foot soldiers. Planes, tanks, artillery, ships will be partly or largely replaceable rather soon, but the grunts will stay, perhaps for centuries. In addition if you have intentions to dominate a region in the near future you need soldiers right now.

Wars are not about masculinity. Wars are about resources. If all of us would be woman we would still need resources, so probably we would keep fighting for stuff if we do not have enough.
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the most important features in a coin? on: May 06, 2015, 11:54:04 AM
Services, services and services... am I mentioned services? Perhaps more services? Even the best coin with the most ground breaking features and with the best community ever, worth nothing if I can't use it for something what is actually useful in my everyday life, like buying a sandwich or a glass of water...
1403  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll: 51% of Democrats support criminalizing hate speech on: May 06, 2015, 11:26:58 AM
Not really surprising. Liberals, commies and other social injustice warriors are used to turn to the biggest f**kin' murderous nazis in the whole wide world if someone doesn't agree with them :/. Some sort of khazarian heritage, I guess Smiley.
1404  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Libertarianism's state in Europe? on: May 06, 2015, 11:19:37 AM
But that is not taxing. That is charity what you described. You give volutarly money to a starving child or whatever people in trouble.
Taxing is theft (or even armed robbery if they send thugs after you). And 90% of the money goes into corrupt politician or bankster hands, and only 10% may or may not get there through bureocracy.
If you remove the force from taxation, then its not taxation anymore, it's social charity, and i`m sure many people would pay into that. It's just that you can't force them to do so.

IMO nothing wrong with a reasonable taxation if the spending is transparent and the government is accountable. I agree, today none of these three things are true. Anyway I'm still more comfortable to see basic services in the hands of even a corrupt government than in the hands of some corporations and their bankster associates. We are still have some little control over the politicians but none over the corporations.

Idk in what country you live, but where i live state healthcare is an abomination. Sometimes you need to wait 5-6 months for a surgery. Also Canada the "socialist paradise" also becomes a nightmare now, there are few countries where the government healthcare is of quality, and i`m sure in most of them it's not.

Private healthcare is only expensive because the government is their competitor, and the govenrment doesnt like competition, it likes being on monopoly, so obviously it has more funds, and you cant compete with that. If government healthcare would be eliminated (not in 1 day, but gradually), then people would see that they would pay the same insurance cost or even less ,and get 1000x better results.

Even at the cost of putting ad bilboards (for ad revenue) all around the hospital, would be  worth it  Grin

Well the US is the perfect counter-example for what you said. As far as I know nearly one third of the americans are simply can't afford any health care at all, because the costs, and some 800 000 ppl per year get killed by the "1000x better" health care. BTW even in the States 5% of the patients have to wait 5-6 months for a surgery...
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does the Ripple news mean for Premined, IPO, ICO coins? Did they follow KYC on: May 06, 2015, 10:01:01 AM
How can this news be interpreted for the hundreds of premine coins that got sold anonymously for BTC? How many premined coins took KYC/AML precautions?

No impact on those coins. The issuers are not acting as money exchangers. As most of these coins has too little value by now, and difficult to catch the issuers (many of them disappeared and/or abandoned their coins since then, or they are just outside of reach) the FinCEN probably not going to waste time and resources on going after them.

How many premined coins took KYC/AML precautions?

I'd be very surprised if any of these coins took any kind of KYC/AML precautions Smiley. ...and that's actually a good thing as why the rest of the world should comply with the rules of some US stamp collectors club Smiley.
1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin actually ready to go mainstream? on: May 06, 2015, 09:38:17 AM
Unfortunately no.
Items needed:
Better privacy.
Reverse of centralization trend
Better security(hardware wallets)
Higher TPS(Transactions per second)

Pretty good summary. I'd add blockchain pruning to the list. Downloading the blockchain takes ages, and the workarounds are insecure (web wallets) or promoting a sort of centralization (lite clients).
1407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Purchased a 10,000 BTC PUT option today, history has been made on: May 06, 2015, 09:32:17 AM
Yeah, can someone please explain to me how this put options thing works?
I have never heard of it before, then again I am not a gambler  Tongue

Here's a good one with an example:

1408  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Libertarianism's state in Europe? on: May 06, 2015, 09:13:53 AM
Because it's the ultimate arrogance of taxing people to pay for other people's things. And keep in mind 60% of tax revenue comes from middle and poor class.

Well, there is a thing called solidarity and I'm happy to pay for saving the lives of other people. Of course I'm expecting the same when I'm in trouble. I know there are parasites in the system but at least our parasites are parasites in need, and not parasites like an insurance company what only want to make money from our troubles.

Healthcare can be private, government healthcare is the worst in the known universe. But unless you eliminate govenrment healthcare, private healthcare will always be expensive. Basic economics 101. (supply & demand)

Where did you heard such stupidities? (No criticism, just asking.) I've seen both private and state healthcare, and I must say private medical services are only good if you are rich enough, otherwise it's just a form of extortion. Health insurance companies are the worst scum who are happy to let you die if that's the more profitable option. State provided healthcare is actually one of the few good things in the socialistic type countries.
1409  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Libertarianism's state in Europe? on: May 06, 2015, 08:38:03 AM
Apart for Switzerland, Libertarianism in Europe is a pretty much non existing thing. The european culture is rooted in an autocratic past where decisions were made by the ruler and the nobility, welfare services were provided by the church and the ruling class, and common people had no vote on issues of the state. Today we are living in mostly socialist(ic) welfare states and people still/again expecting decisions and care from the state, and the state is happy to provide these services in exchange for our liberties. (Most ppl do not even notice this, as they just not using these liberties and rights as the welfare state made most of it "redundant".) BTW we can vote now, but we can vote only on the question about who will make the decisions instead of us. So we are pretty much in the same situation as we were a hundred, two hundred or a thousand years ago but most ppl are actually OK with this.
1410  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poor people - an excellent investment. The growth in trailer park profiteering. on: May 06, 2015, 07:28:55 AM
Why cant you just buy/rent your parking lot and put your trailer there? Or put it on a side of the road, outside the city, on public land?

I think you can do that only on designated gipsy sites. But I have no idea how you can do that sure. As I've heard form some polish blokes and a fellow hungarian IT guy (who's doing contract jobs across the country) if you have a camper van or a caravan, using camping sites is cheap option.
1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Is NEM really that GOOD ???? on: May 05, 2015, 03:50:07 PM
It has good foundations, now they have to build similarly good services on the top of it. If that's done then it will be a really good and useful coin.
1412  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Miracles of Islam on: May 05, 2015, 03:43:51 PM
Indeed.  But think about it.  Almost all "miracles" are long in the past, and no evidence can be brought forth to disprove them.

Here is an opportunity to disprove completely a "miracle" that may be part of the beliefs of a billion people.

The surface of the Moon is so unchanging, footprints by the Apollo astronauts may be visible for millions of years.  If the Moon was split by Mohammed, evidence of that would certainly be there.

What you have described is only a means by which well intentioned people might honestly believe the saw a miracle, not a post facto proof of the alleged miracle never have occurred.

I think a miracle is just yet another natural phenomenon what happened in a very good time for someone with a lot of observers. Most miracles are happened long time ago, indeed as in those times ppl were unable to explain great many natural things. Just send me back to the ancient Sumer (after a good sumerian and akkadian language course) with my current knowledge and if I don't die in gastroenteritis in the first few days (what would be a miracle on it's own) I can pretty much guarantee that I would be the most famous prophet or even god of the age who did miracles everyday Smiley. (...and I'd build a freakin' big ziggurat with bitcoin sign shaped layout just to fool the archaeologists Cheesy.)
1413  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Miracles of Islam on: May 05, 2015, 12:56:46 PM
So.. Let me start...

The moon split in two, and was put back together. (Its hard for me to write without cracking up)

Well, excessive consumption of ergot infested wheat and barley could cause such miracles... mixing with some khat will consummate the experience.
1414  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the minimum price of Bitcoin? on: May 05, 2015, 12:42:09 PM
The bullshit is strong in this one: http://www.thegreenminute.org/bitcoin.html

IMO the lowest and highest values are determined by supply and demand, what's the price where mining is still profitable and how much "free" money we have on the market to buy those coins. Services available in the bitcoin economy, new money flowing in, plus the price related "beliefs" of people who are trading it are also important factors.
1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite? [ XEM or NXT ] on: May 05, 2015, 08:42:44 AM

Tested it a couple of months ago but in that time that wallet wasn't very comfortable and slowly ate all memory what it seen around Smiley. I'm going to take a look at latest version.
1416  Other / Politics & Society / Re: all u.s. government, judges, politicians and other officials can be shot on site on: May 05, 2015, 08:18:46 AM
Disagree, that's how tyrants have always been dealt without throughout history.
Would really be a lot like Zombie hunting.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I can remember the US govt have something like police and security contractors, perhaps they also have some sort of army to deal with such adventurous people...but maybe I'm wrong and it will be really like a big happy turkey shot Smiley.
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite? [ XEM or NXT ] on: May 05, 2015, 07:59:36 AM
So the NEM guys finally put together an actually working wallet Smiley? Well, might worth to take a look at it when the first shilling and pump & dump is over.
1418  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2 GUNMEN KILLED OUTSIDE MUHAMMAD CARTOON CONTEST on: May 05, 2015, 07:57:02 AM
Wow! How surprising... :/
Draw some cartoons about Muhammad, make some noise around it, get a few pissed off but not very smart muslim youngsters with guns, shot them (dead people tend not to be talkative), then make more noise about the horrific terrorist attack, impose more surveillance over the scared public and/or take some of their liberties and rights as a "sacrifice for our glorious war on terror". Rinse, repeat...
1419  Other / Politics & Society / Re: My mommy bought me an education, am I smart now? on: May 03, 2015, 03:03:30 PM
Not entirely accurate.

More like being a conformist that don't challenge authority.

Excellent summary. Smart asses who think and act independently are more like a burden than an asset for the state in these days.
1420  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs Communism on: May 03, 2015, 03:01:10 PM
Cons of the Communism society:

Contrary to popular belief , the " survival Of the fittest" is not on Capitalism, its on Communism.

Money is often used to hide lack of intelligence, creativity or just pshysical or mental qualities..

In the Communism society from above, the talent will be rewarded not with money but with visible "titles" or "rewards" to continúe the human progression, those rewards will worth more than actual money because today money can be gotten from many sources not only "success", it can be given even for free.

So with this rewards, the people that is just "stupid" or below average will be more visible, stupid people could expect some kind of social bullyng or exclusión from various activities.

We have tried something like this but it didn't work. Humans by nature want more, and better stuff. (Stuff can be literally anything from knowledge to money.) You can call it greed if you want. If you suppress this kind of greed then you will get only stagnation. I've seen it in the last decade of socialism, ppl wasn't motivated at all, everybody thought why do anything above the acceptable minimum if they can't get anything more or better just stupid titles and worthless badges. Finally this lack of motivation paralysed the whole society what collapsed pretty soon.
