So Windows needs dialog with Microsoft as it logs your data? Makes you wonder if you could spoof it. Smiley

Not sure if it's a real dialogue, but the TCP handshake usually enough to determine if there are a connectivity issues.
722  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A terrifying Traffic analysis of Windows 10 on: December 31, 2015, 02:33:43 PM
I'm using a little Cisco ASA 5505 firewall at home, so I was able to find out what happening on my network and then seal off Windows 10, but then it started complaining and throwing error messages because of the lack of necessary connectivity. Finally I've got rid of Windows 10 on all of my and my wife's machines. It's just too talkative for our taste.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best BTC casinos? on: December 30, 2015, 07:48:53 PM
For example Betcoin.ag is an all you can eat casino. FortuneJack is another good one with lots of games. Haven't tried the others, but soon you will have a nice long list, I guess.
724  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The space launchings aren't putting food on your table. on: December 30, 2015, 07:44:36 PM
Everyone, all I said was space travel is pointless. Tell me how space travel has benefitted society in terms of production. Tell me how it puts food on the table. Tell me how it's preventing mass genocide. Also to the other person in this thread, tell me when an asteroid ever tried to hit the earth. Please.

You can tell the same about a most of sciences and arts as well. I guess most stuff what the ancient greek mathematicians invented was as useless for the contemporary peasants and dock workers as space travel in these day for some of us. BTW many things in science what are now parts of our everyday life started their carrier as toys.
Asteroids. The last really significant one hit the Earth about 64 million years ago, and all the dinos went belly up, and we aren't much better prepared than those big lizards. According to Wikipedia rather big meteorites are quite common things (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impact_event).
725  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The space launchings aren't putting food on your table. on: December 29, 2015, 10:19:59 PM
There are things what we have to do today and wait for the "rewards" for a long time. Space exploration is one of these things. When you plant a new orchard you might not need it immediately, it's not even useful for years but you know that once in the future you will need fruits from those trees. As I said same thing applies to space exploration. One day it will be very much needed and we must be prepared and must have the necessary technology and knowledge in hand.
726  Economy / Economics / Re: Open a bank account without many papers that will respect my privacy on: December 28, 2015, 11:08:36 PM
You might find useful to take a look at Fidor Bank. They have some free current accounts. Registration can be done online and they not used to ask too many questions. They are also pretty much bitcoin friendly (e.g. bitcoin.de made have integration with Fidor accounts), so Fidor unlikely to freeze your account because of bitcoin related activities.
727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving - Will we see a new price high? on: December 28, 2015, 10:48:21 PM
Prices are likely to go up in the next six month but I think we'll see some wild swings. To be honest I'd be very surprised if we wouldn't see some big pumps around the halving. So a new ATH is quite possible.
728  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to get celebrities gambling? on: December 28, 2015, 08:11:44 PM
Celebrities are attracting a lot of media attention and I guess IRS is also interested in their things. So even if they are playing on some largely unregulated shady offshore casinos, probably they are not going to brag around with that.
729  Other / Politics & Society / Re: #GiveYourMoneyToWomen: a theory & practical framework of gender justice on: December 28, 2015, 08:05:21 PM
Looks like communism at its best but based on gender instead of class and dismisses all the economic stuff but concentrates purely on the free looting part.
730  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] AcctBot - Open source automated trading platform on: December 28, 2015, 05:59:51 PM
Part of the merger included a no-compete clause and required my pulling the repo offline. I would say more but have been asked not to yet. When announcing the project here, I had absolutely no idea that someone  would be interested in acquiring the platform after seeing it here, so I do humbly apologize for a botched launch. On the other hand, I feel like the product that is emerging as a result is more the vision that I had in mind when I set out to create this thing.

No problem, sometimes such things can happen. Is this emerging new product will be opensource or some commercial stuff?
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paper Wallets on: December 28, 2015, 05:46:08 PM
If it's WowDoge then create a new wallet and from the file menu select the Import Paper Wallet. There you can paste your private key, or you can scan (with a webcam) or drag and drop a QR code image. Make sure the wallet creation date is right or at least one day older than the wallet.
732  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any problem if we reveal our winning strategy in gambling? on: December 28, 2015, 04:04:33 PM
The only sure winning "strategy" if you know a bug in the server script and you exploiting that. Otherwise there are no winning strategy in pure luck based games. If we are talking about bugs, then yes, I can imagine that some people don't want to reveal that.
733  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we beat a casino by python script ? on: December 28, 2015, 03:40:21 PM
So I was reading about python bots today and one of the tutorials I came across shows how can we write a python bot to play/beat online games through the server. Here's the link http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-build-a-python-bot-that-can-play-web-games--active-11117

Before I start to program this bot,I wanted to know has anyone done this before ? Should I proceed with the algorithms or give up as its impossible?

Script are stuff for making bets according to a pre-programmed strategy, even when you are sleeping (but I wouldn't recommend that). So it's about speed and comfortability not about inventing some sort of "wonder strategy" on it's own.
734  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is inequality and money hijacking the American Democracy? on: December 28, 2015, 01:37:33 PM
Imho that is only partly correct. There are measures you can take to avoid this massive lobbying.
For example the german voting system: the different parties are getting tax money for their campaigns depending on how much votes they get. There is free time on tv and other stuff.

As far as I know parties in Germany are also accepting corporate and private donations. Until they doing that nobody can guarantee their independence. Lobbies in Germany just as strong as everywhere else.
735  Economy / Gambling / Re: "richest gambling sites"??? on: December 28, 2015, 10:30:14 AM
Exactly!  That's why I nominated Betcoin.ag.  They are part of the Winning Poker Network (WPN) that operates in fiat which only recently began to offer bitcoin transaction.  Betcoin.ag has a unique position in the WPN because it ONLY accepts crypto but is included in the entire network's player pool which plays with fiat.  It's an extremely fortuitous relationship for those who play with crypto.

Wow! To be honest I wasn't aware of this WPN membership until now. I should read the "About" part more carefully. Anyway, this is reassuring and it appears I've bet on the right horse when joined the Betcoin.ag signature campaign Smiley.
736  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NYC Will Fine You $250,000 For ‘Misgendering’ A Transsexual on: December 28, 2015, 10:21:16 AM
Is there a fine for calling a whore a whore? Just curious.

Apart from being rude, that word have some negative connotations, and can strengthen negative stereotypes, therefore it can hurt the feelings of the whores Smiley. Perhaps you want to use the sex worker instead. That's the PC name for them.

...and we not yet involved the feminist opinion about them, so watch your steps as there is a minefield behind this word Smiley.
737  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is inequality and money hijacking the American Democracy? on: December 28, 2015, 10:11:23 AM

The thesis that the growing inequality since the eighties is allowing a few people to determine in great measure the candidates from (especially) the Republican party, and also their political agenda (rejecting that climate change has a human cause, rejecting any increase in taxes for the richest, defending the annulment of measures to regulate financial markets adopted after 2008, etc.), thanks to their financial capacity that allows them to pay huge contributions to the candidates that adopt their agenda is old.

I think this problem isn't limited to the republicans. The same thing applies to the democrats as well, with a different political agenda. Actually you find the same issues in all western type representative democracies without a single exception. Without making party finance and donations 100% transparent (what is more or less impossible) you have no chance to deal with these issues. This is how plutocracy/oligarchy working.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: need some help and informations on: December 26, 2015, 08:09:03 PM
There you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=803634.0;all

Of course you should take everything what read here with a grain of salt, but not listening to people around, doing your own research and making your own educated guesses/decisions is your best what you can do.
739  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: December 26, 2015, 05:09:54 PM
If price fall down below 400 usd would it be good to sell it ?

Of course mate, sell when you see those big red candles, and buy when there are many big greens, and then blame bitcoin for your losses Smiley.
740  Economy / Economics / Re: How New World Order will implode on: December 25, 2015, 07:20:59 PM
Its almost Christmas and each day that passes I'm becoming more optimistic. The stock market is crashing, oil price is crashing, China is crashing. Gold is going up, bitcoin is finally going up. Friends, its clear now the new world order is coming to a close. In just a few years its possible we may have the ending of the western new world order that we have all been waiting for: hyperinflation boom-bust followed by revolution.

My question to you: when the end comes and the governments of the west - that hold us in slavery to debt caused by previous generation - that have hyjacked our economies with a huge asset bubble - finally come to an end, how will it happen? What scenarios can you see? How will the governments fall? How will the revolution happen?

Let's imagine how things will change and get ourselves into a positive mindset to keep going.

Bitcoin isn't standing alone outside of the problems of the fiat world and it's not a ticket to safety and prosperity. As there are no real bitcoin economy you can't buy all sorts of stuff with BTC, you can't pay bills with BTC. You need fiat. Crypto and fiat is inseparable at this time. If fiat struggles that means the whole economy struggles. In a struggling economy bitcoin might became to a solid store of value at some point, but most likely precious metals will be the first option for the majority.
