521  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crazy shit Bible says, crazy shit Christians say on: February 19, 2016, 10:47:14 AM
Actually the first page is one of the most accurate parts of the Bible, and fits surprisingly well to our present knowledge about the history of the universe:

[1:1] In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth,
[1:2] the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.]

Universe as a singularity

[1:3] Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
[1:4] And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
[1:5] God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

Big bang

Let me stop you right there, at step one.  Earth was created before big bang?  Water before big bang?  Don't you need hydrogen and oxygen to have water?

In the Bible's phrasing "waters" means a lot of things from seas to the sky (space), just like earth what in this context means material what was "formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep". Don't forget that this book was written some 3k years ago (and probably was based on some older scripts) for a bunch of goat herders and farmers with limited knowledge about quantum/astrophysics so the language had to be relative simple, plain hebrew Smiley.

Forget the crazy shit on page one, the creation story.  I hope you don't believe world was created in 6 days.  I'm assuming all Christians rationalize that one as a metaphor.

Big bang

[1:6] And God said, "Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
[1:7] So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so.
[1:8] God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day

Planetary genesis

[1:9] And God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.
[1:10] God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Late Hadean and early Archean crust formation and the first appearance of the oceans

[1:11] Then God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with the seed in it." And it was so.
[1:12] The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that it was good.
[1:13] And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

Archean life mostly algae like stuff

[1:14] And God said, "Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,
[1:15] and let them be lights in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth." And it was so.
[1:16] God made the two great lights - the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night - and the stars.
[1:17] God set them in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth,
[1:18] to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
[1:19] And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

Atmospheric transition during the Proterozoic made the Sun, the Moon and the stars visible (but till the end of the Archean period the Sun had a lot less output than today)

[1:20] And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the dome of the sky."
[1:21] So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, of every kind, with which the waters swarm, and every winged bird of every kind. And God saw that it was good.
[1:22] God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
[1:23] And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

Cambrian explosion

[1:24] And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures of every kind: cattle and creeping things and wild animals of the earth of every kind." And it was so.
[1:25] God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind. And God saw that it was good.
[1:26] Then God said, "Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."
[1:27] So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

The rest of the evolution (including mankind)... Smiley

There's a lot of crazy shit in every -isms. Let's see some crazy shit from your pet ideologists: http://www.orgonelab.org/MarxEngelsQuotes.htm#QUOTES.
Well, you can find everything from praising slavery, encouraging terrorism and mass murder, anti-semitism, oppressing small (slavic) nations, warmongering, to irredentism... Wink
524  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How can I create my own religion? on: February 18, 2016, 03:25:21 PM
Religion is a great business these days.
How can I create my own religion and get followers?

That depends. If in your country you can apply for a tax relief if you make donations to a church, and such donations are tax free then you can turn up with any sort of bullshit, just make every believer a priest who can accept donations Smiley.

If the tax situation isn't that bright, then you really have to find out something what can comfort people, but distant, misty, difficult to understand and also difficult to prove or disprove. Also good if you can define an enemy, but don't make it too specific otherwise you can run out of enemies, or if you make a wrong choice you can get your ass kicked by that other group. Promises. Promises are important. As if you aren't after tax relief, most of your believers will be a bunch of losers, so you really have to promise something what they want, but can't achieve in this world (e.g. 72 virgins seems to be a popular reward). You also have to position your religion on the market. Unless you have some plantations or mines you don't really want to go for the poorest. So target your ideology, promises and rewards for the upper working and mid classes.
525  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS AND TERRORISTS ARE NOT MUSLIMS on: February 18, 2016, 02:44:51 PM
This kind of "there were lot worse killers in human history than us" argument looks a bit flawed for me. I don't care who killed who 70, 200, or 2000 years ago. Muslims are a present and future danger, therefore they are something we have to take care of.

You're sick. Muslims are an entire religion who are not any more dangerous than violent Christians.  Roll Eyes

Wrong. I'm Hungarian, and we have a couple of hundred years of hands on experience with these "harmless and peaceful" muslims Smiley.

BTW you shouldn't let neither your positive or negative preconceptions to blur your sight. I've noticed that you don't like us whites, but why do you think that these brownie muslim fellas had been more compassionate to your kind than we were?
526  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racial Healing Comes Only By Understanding the Past on: February 18, 2016, 10:41:34 AM
Lol, here you go with your logical fallacies shit again xD
While making my point in your own answer, thx.

You just said Marxism is here to makes way for socialism and communism, which are the opposite of capitalism. Hence Marxism is the opposite of capitalism, or at least the first step of the opposite of capitalism but here it's just semantic xD

Capitalism is directly responsible for millions and millions of deaths since the begining of history... Crusades, wars, genocides, WWI and WWII, every USA wars, colonialism... It's all due to capitalism.

You might be educated but you're clearly not intelligent or objective. Sure Staline + Mao makes a great combo, but it's only 2 events ^^

Actually he has valid points. In a socialist/marxist society the working class not owning the means of production any more than in a capitalist society. All that stuff belongs to the state what effectively means the ruling elite and its loyal servants. You can see it as state capitalism or in best case as syndicalism. Anyway the working class will get only peanuts again, while the ruling elite will get the power, privileges and profit.
Go for anarcho-syndicalism if you want a real workers state Smiley.

BTW the marxists of the 20th century were not a bit better than their capitalist counterparts, they had only different rhetoric, fewer resources and shorter time to do harm to mankind.
527  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racial Healing Comes Only By Understanding the Past on: February 18, 2016, 10:04:27 AM
I don't see too much chance for some sort of "racial reconciliation". Racism is a good business on all levels. The political elite often exploiting ethnic tensions to keep us divided, distracted and/or get more votes (e.g.: "If you want a nigger for a neighbour, vote Labour").

Racism kills people, you dumb shit. How old are you? Who let you on the internet?

Smiley. Wake up, take a look at the world as it is, and then maybe you will understand what I'm talking about.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price falls 22% in 1 day on: February 18, 2016, 08:41:32 AM
I never saw this coming as I have always thought that people will continue buying ETH up to 0.02. Now I have to eat my words as the market cap is not sustainable when ETH is still at the early stage of development.

ETH was struggling in a downtrend during the last two or three days, so that 0.02  was a bit of optimistic IMO.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Total carnage today in the altcoin market on: February 17, 2016, 04:57:39 PM
Bitcoin is going up and every single alt is on terrible reds, did anyone see? Including all the big alts like ETH, XMR or LTC are going low while everyone that sold their alts and stay on BTC is making a lot of money, we are already hitting 420 and Bitcoin will continue to rise for the next months so it's difficult to hold any alt, I will keep shorting some of the more liquid alts but always focus on BTC because it seems clear people only want to make more BTC profit out of alts at the end of the day.

Business as usual. If bitcoin start (significantly) moving in any direction altcoins going to react with a nosedive first Smiley.

That would be wasting money. He always been a dickhead and nowadays he's more and more out of fashion, convincing some talented emerging artists to hype your stuff and supporting them in exchange could be a better option.

532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NAS - how is that SCAM climbing?? makes ALL other coins distributions look fair. on: February 17, 2016, 10:34:20 AM
NAS is pretty much abandoned, it traded only on BTER and BTC38, but depositing is disabled on both sites, so I think the price and volume what we can see there is just for some entertainment or maybe a few people trading between each other to generate volume and get it back to life for a good dump.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price falls 22% in 1 day on: February 17, 2016, 09:53:07 AM
When BTC rising at first nearly all alts are going down. Later alts are used to follow BTC with a few days or a week latency. Also, after the quick rise last week a correction isn't surprising.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How about investing a small amount in every new altcoin which is launched? on: February 17, 2016, 08:54:40 AM
All new coins used to start with an initial pump, so buying coins randomly when they hit the first exchanges it an excellent way to burn money. BTW forget about holding coins long term, 99% of the new coins are useless P&D shitcoins what used to disappear after a few moths.
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is current monero's rise legit or just a pump and dump thing? on: February 16, 2016, 05:00:32 PM
Such a sudden spike in volume and price is used to be an indication of a pump. Also there aren't any really great news about monero (like X or Y bank interested in the technology, or whatever else) so this rise is most likely a pump indeed.

...and again, there are no such think like undervalued coin. It's all about supply, demand, market and economy for a given coin. Everything worth exactly as much as what people willing to pay for it.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT plus and negative on: February 16, 2016, 03:02:50 PM
Seems like the fashion these days is to try and copy ethereum.  Nxt sell by date was 2014.  People moved on.

Well, as far as I know there's only one ETH copy. That's pretty far from fashion. BTW NXT is still far better than ETH, because of it's working and have a usable GUI Smiley. Also, with NXT you don't need a degree from programming and nuclear physics to make a transaction or create an asset Smiley.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT plus and negative on: February 16, 2016, 01:46:28 PM
what makes you say nxt failed? failed at what exactly?

According to stoat every coin failed what isn't ETH Smiley. Don't bother about him. He's right on adoption tho.

NXT is a bit out of fashion in these days, but technologically it's still one of the best coins, and it have a rather strong dev and user community.
538  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS AND TERRORISTS ARE NOT MUSLIMS on: February 16, 2016, 12:23:58 PM
Oh they failed? Funny me I thought Cube was a rather successful try especially considering how the USA fucked them up without any kind of reason (not that they need any reason they're the USA). Cause capitalism is a success? Wanna tell that to 80% of the world?

It's cool how the fact that free market had been tried in nearly the whole world and is currently not working and destroying everything but it's ok, and how egalitarian policies as you say have been tries only 3 times with one really successful.

Yes, they failed for sure. I've witnessed the last years of that experiment, so I know Smiley. Cuba stayed alive for so long because of the support they've got from other socialist states. I can remember when my country often bought tens of thousands tons of sugar for astronomic prices for helping the cuban comrades, however we actually exported sugar too.

Yes, capitalism is a success, or at least more successful than socialism ever been. Of course it's far from perfect, but because of the lack of working alternatives it's still the best what we have in hand.

Actually what isn't working and destroying everything is rather centralized global market, where a very few entities holding almost all economic power. That's the problem, and that's why we need to return to a more localized, scaled down form of capitalism, where market is really free.

Which one is successful? China? China became successful only after they switched to a capitalist economy where the communist party held the legislative, judiciary and executive power, but let the economy controlled by the market.
539  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are you going to do if Donald trump become president? on: February 16, 2016, 11:59:05 AM
What are you going to do if Donald trump become president?
I personally don't want him to become my president

I'd open a glass of champagne and light a big cigar. To see a sensible person in the white house after so many years of lunatics and SJWs would be reassuring Wink.
540  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS AND TERRORISTS ARE NOT MUSLIMS on: February 16, 2016, 11:34:46 AM
Ok great and how do you take care of it?
And btw, what do you do about the hundreds of thousands of suicides every year caused by the ruthless market freedom? Don't you feel it's more important or do you need to see bombs exploding to see it like a real attack?

The expression "take care of" can mean a lot of things from talking to them on a civilised manner to "...und fegen alle diese Untermenschen von der Erdkarte" type solutions, depending on politicians, oil prices and public opinion Smiley.
Free markets are part of our life and unfortunately sometimes it comes for a price, but the other alternative ways (sorts of egalitarian, planned economy) all failed miserably, so like it or not at this time there are no working alternative. BTW bitcoin is all about free market...
