In one casino (with some sports promotion) we bet $10, in some other casino we bet $10 on the opposite result... did I get it wrong? We lose 50 cents per bet, but we get points for promotion. So basically we risk $20, but we can win promotional prizes. Did I get it right?

Yes, you got it right.

Even though you highlighted that "hedging" is prohibited, why would we do this? Don't you think that we are risking getting caught and banned from both casinos? I am not sure if that is even possible, but sports providers probably have their own ways of catching abusers. In my opinion, this is a gray area...

I tend to disagree - BC.game would only get more people interested in their site from the promo, did you know that Stake.us is paying $1 a day for Americans to play in their site? $1 a day, $365 for each player, potentially per year.

There is a growing competition, so encouraging new users who see this for instance, to want to get to VIP14 is already a bonus for BC.game

So no, I think this is not a gray area, on the contrary ... and yes, betting $10 with BC.game and $10 with Stake/Roobet/whoever - this is not hedging as you're not using the same site, and odds can always change and fluctuate (in this game there were tons of swings before the game even started).

So all in all it's a good thing for the player but also a good thing for the house, IMO.

The same picture as your avatar here is used by the owner of the video. Is it your own video actually? May I ask you why you chose to make a video instead of just explaining it in a post here? It would have been simpler and clearer for BTT users IMO.
Are there wagering requirements or any another condition to withdraw the rewards won? What does mean VIP14 ? People needs to reach this rank in order to participate to this tournament?
BTW when you hedge $100 on two outcomes @1.95, you are not "risking" $5. You are spending them.
$100 x 0.95 - $100 = $95 - $100 = - $5

Deciding whether gambling is right or wrong for them is subjective. For non-believer to their religion will find this news as normal event because the Pastor is living on Uganda which we all know that is very hard to earn money but this is different if you are the one with same religion with them because Pastors are role model for holiness in their religion.

I will never blame the Pastor on doing gambling to earn more for his own future. Probably his earnings through his ministry is not sufficient for his daily needs especially if he has a family to feed.
You should read more carefully the news bro, it wasn't an extra mean to feed his family because he just closed his church after having made his big win of 100m NGN, Mate2237 has even opened a thread about that specific matter. In addition he won his bet thanks to a fixed game which I don't think is a moral thing approved by any church or religion. I don't know why they needed his money but I guess it was to bribe the players actually.

I think the reason, why they to much on "Slot" because the demand.

I'm pretty sure they have the data player, and taken conclusion most of player playing on 'Slot'. Not only from the their casino data, but most the time Influencer, Youtuber, Streamer are playing more often on slot rather than casino-games.

That's why, they more like it on slot.
If they mostly look at what influencers, youtubers and streamers are playing, they will miss the good target IMO. Because those people are mostly watched by youngsters while table games are aimed at an older and more mature audience. And those two audiences don't share the same habits and interests. In addition, big stars like Drake or Snoop Dogg don't play slots when they do their streams, they play live table games.
1406  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 up to 20% cashback🔥up to 20% rakeback 🚨 instant withdrawals on: March 24, 2023, 06:24:11 PM
I guess everything is now to be focused towards slots, but I would really also like to see the actual Live casino be a bigger part of the tournaments like before. I like slots more and more but it can never be as nice as watching dealers live, right guys?
I agree with you bro 👍
But they maybe need to attract players who don't know very much table games, with slots. Some people are afraid by table games because they think rules are complicated and it's only for rich and educated players. Maybe the current marketing strategy is to try to attract them with good slot promotions while being less focus on table games ones.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: March 23, 2023, 10:59:31 PM
As you all will say that Still there is almost 1 and half year away for USA elections but still I want to highlight this option because here there will be almost in millions of bets that people will do and also that's based on speculations and also someone's interest.
I think that this could be one of the biggest Bets we can see because a whole world Knows america and it's superpower and it's has international recognization because of it's influence to the whole world.
So what are your speculations over this USA elections. And I know that everybody has their own speculations and also wins and also loose. So let's see what will happen?

Do you know which spotsbooks are already offering to bet on this event? AFAIK the republican candidate hasn't been chosen for now, many people are expecting Trump to be this candidate but it's far from being sure since he has to cope with several court cases. Biden's application is also unsure, since he seems to face health issue, so there is a lot of uncertainty for the time being.
1408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual Betting/ Real bet on: March 23, 2023, 10:18:19 PM
My little experience while trying to look compare these two types of bets
I could be right or wrong maybe you can share your own experience to know how it goes.

Last night was trying to bet on live matches (Sports betting) although most of the matches already started running and while some have few minutes to start, after selecting about 10 to 15 matches to place my bet it was a bit difficult due to odds were dropping as well changing so I managed to place the bet and it went successfully.

After few minutes I decide to take a look into vFootball i could also get some winning over there, Surprisingly i was wipe with their manipulation at this point i just have to quick to wait for the previously bet matches to finished running.

Have you experience the manipulations over vFootball betting?
Though i don't know if this thread already created, If yes then ref here i would be happy to locking this thread.
I don't trust very much those games to be honest, because AFAIK there is no way to see an history of the results of the matches and to watch/follow the games at an independent third party website. Hence, they could generate the results based on the bets placed by the players. For example if the biggest amount is placed on Team A, they could can make winning Team B. It would be easy money. So I prefer playing live casino games or provably fair ones instead.
1409  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 up to 20% cashback🔥up to 20% rakeback 🚨 instant withdrawals on: March 23, 2023, 09:44:44 PM
Good to hear that I’m not excluded in the promotion. St. Patrick contest seems temporary promotion. This might be the temporary replacement of crypto crunch.
That's the second week in a row the crypto crunch tournement is not proposed actually, but last week there was a very nice promotion for slot gamblers (the Multiplier Fury) instead, this week it's another one the Lucky Clover. So it seems they have changed their marketing strategy toward slot gamblers now, and they prefer offering a new promotion/tournament each week instead of the usual crypto crunch. I'm looking forward to what will happen next month with this contest.
1410  Local / Débutants / Re: La passphrase (contributions bienvenues) : protégez vos bitcoins on: March 23, 2023, 11:29:32 AM

1411  Local / Débutants / Re: La passphrase (contributions bienvenues) : protégez vos bitcoins on: March 22, 2023, 07:59:45 PM

1412  Local / Débutants / Re: La passphrase (contributions bienvenues) : protégez vos bitcoins on: March 22, 2023, 07:25:41 PM

https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039.mediawiki

Shocked  Grin Grin
1414  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [VOTING - OPEN] 🥧 1st edition - Bitcointalk Pie Baking Contest 🥧 on: March 21, 2023, 02:00:39 PM
I agree with JayJuanGee, it would have been nicer to be able to vote for 3 entries at least (with 3 points given to the 1st, 2 to the second and 1 to the last one, for example) because it's very hard to choose a single one.
Anyway I will give my vote to Becassine. Not just because her apple pie looks as hot as she seems to be Tongue but also because she dedicated a lot of energy to cook her cake and this pie, and to promote the contest.

Bitcointalk Account: Saint-loup
My vote goes to: Becassine

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5330921.0

1419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is OK to sell but is better to wait on: March 19, 2023, 09:58:46 PM
Some people will rush to sell at every slight increase. A friend was telling me I want to sell, even though my money is not complete and  I ask him of what profit has achieved investing in the first place? Investment is a like a future you keep hoping for the better.

Keep holding but he's eager to sell and relax his head from worries that is money has gone into extinction, lol. Increase you're having same such mentality, kindy advise!
Hold on and keep holding.
Time is coming when you will be excited about it.
Not all people see the future like you see it and it's hard to guess who will be right at the end. You seem to think that Bitcoin has room to grow more than that but other people obviously think it will drop again soon, and we can't blame them for protecting their funds, because nobody will pay back their losses, in case of a drop. Moreover, for being able to buy Bitcoin at one price you need to have people selling it at this price, so selling is a good thing to let bulls like you buying at what they consider to be a cheap price, no? I would add that you can hardly make money by just waiting for a bull run to happen, so trading could be faster.
1420  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Thinking of separating my holdings into two physical locations. on: March 19, 2023, 09:46:29 PM
I don't agree with that, because that is exactly what I do. I have a hot wallet on my phone with usually less than $100 worth of bitcoin on it. I use this to make purchases in person with my local merchants who I know accept bitcoin. I'm buying things like groceries or electronic accessories such as spare cables, so usually well under $100. When it gets low, I top it up from a cold wallet at home.

If I plan to make a larger purchase than that in person, then I'll either load up my hot wallet in advance or take a hardware wallet and take it with me, depending on the value we are talking about.
You are very lucky to have some local merchants accepting Bitcoin. They accept payments with 0 confirmations or they are using LN? With a so low limit you are certainly rich and patient enough to top up your hot wallet several times a week but I don't think it's a very convenient limit for most people. If you need to receive or send funds to an exchange or a gambling site $100 won't be enough for example. Personally I don't think it's very safe to use his cold wallet for doing all his transactions, but I understand people could do the opposite, especially if they don't use LN.
