1421  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: June 05, 2023, 11:28:15 PM
One tenth for charity is the measure some have in some parts of the world or in some faiths.  Regardless of intentions for those savings to give away or to add to your own long term security via savings or investment, we can compare one third to that very long term rule of always one tenth when rich and in good health to cover those unwell etc.    Some only would regard saving for family or very close friends in this way but its all the same kind of thing, never spend all your money because it makes you vulnerable to do so and one day you will over extend past your long term capabilities; we can all get ill of course and require rest not able to work so save at least one tenth is sensible by any measure.
One third I dont think most will do, Ive heard of a few who aim to save live frugally and then retire to leave horrible stress filled jobs and switch to nicer lower paid out of city jobs.  Thats rare, we live in a consumerism based society and it is encouraged by most political strategies to stoke GDP growth and the election cycle vs recession etc.   This whole dynamic is actually very relevant to BTC, they wont reverse QE, they wont repay the debt and sensible economics of saving properly wont exist any time in recent years and I hear this every day.  Next year is the US election so they wont entertain the idea of not boosting an economy to win that election etc.  its definitely a factor in BTC price year to year.
1422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price bouncing from 200 Week MA on: June 05, 2023, 10:40:51 PM
I voted yes but phrasing moving average as support is not especially correct, its not a solid amount of volume but more about momentum.   If we run contrary to this large tide or wave, it should mean we do bounce or retract but its not any absolute support by itself I think.
I'd rather look at the closing week price for Feb and going back a few other times this has been the peak since we fell especially in June last year.  So now that area should be support, its about this price 24k or so.

Ence are giant killers like a few teams were in their times, before the Brazilians under Fallen won the major twice even as beginners they were able to potentially destroy any team seemingly at random.  Difference between challenger and winner is the consistency required to beat on all fronts, somehow that is often lacking especially when other teams start to counter strat vs the specific advantages a team might employ.  Even now the Brazil teams possess energy which alot of teams find hard to handle the threat of anywhere on the map.    Ence kill off Faze quite often, they are kryptonite from what I've read though I dont quite get why.

Apeks vs Sangal a team from Germany, can this be a bet for 2-0 and higher odds for that precise guess.  Apeks is weaker on only one map apparently.
1424  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: June 05, 2023, 06:50:12 PM
Crypto gambling is for me I consider safer in that your budget can be allocated separately to money you would spend on bills.  I know not everyone does this but I keep the crypto value in crypto and generally dont mix this value up with money I keep in FIAT currency.  I cant lose the money I need for bills so I just never convert that to crypto, if I cant lose it because its been separated in this way it seems alot safer then mixing up play money with bill money.
The BTC price and other prices in crypto already vary by maybe upto 25% in a week, so its money I dont take super seriously its nice that it can go up alot but also ideally its not something I should worry about or lean on to support with this given built in normal volatility to its value.  Betting is natural in crypto imo, its already a gamble to be in this space which is fine.
1425  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: June 05, 2023, 12:11:23 AM
Banning something is hardly an effective strategy, maybe you can control the cotton and material making industry of a local economy but here we are talking about information handling.   To ban just means to ask 'please another country, other people take this business away as we prefer to work longer hours on repetitious tasks'.  They will block any import of that product at a lower cost then we can do; this is just the thinking of a dictator manipulating their country to their own advantage.
Society wont gain from banning the use of technology any more then it did in attempts to do so hundreds of years ago as in every advance forward people feared and attempted to obstruct it; perfectly natural reaction but an economy is indirect and macro picture view to gains a nation might realize in sum total.
1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: June 04, 2023, 11:55:55 PM
The best bonus would ideally be automatic not involve any great hassle to take place, after all you are already putting in some effort to garner the interest of new players so why make it any more difficult if you were successful.    I have done referral on a few different sites, not just gambling but overall it can be ok if you find a relevant place of discussion and traffic for that possible audience, doesn't have to be a big deal though its become too well trodden a path nowadays hence less easy.   Alot of a referral is luck in itself, I most often refer people who play and then dont give any repeat revenue which is the true ideal.
Best case I ever read of is with electric or utilities companies, he referred and went through alot of paperwork and time with customers to sign them up at a lower price; that person for that and other larger reasons was a self made millionaire (former journalist).  Takes some skill and marketing for those that do very well,  I only ever did the easy ones with little time required to refer.
1427  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: June 04, 2023, 11:45:03 PM
We have convergence of moving averages right now and longer term recovery in greater time lines.  There is nothing to worry about in that respect, not much is happening presently so little fear is due from that till we break out either up or down.
If we trace the ATH down to the low of about 1 year ago, we can see a little recovery occurred but not enough to pass the 23.6% Fibonacci level to that possible recovery.  We have the idea of positive movement, the staging perhaps but not the main body ignition to any larger scale launch.   Preparation is likely this whole year I would guess,  just be patient and be ready for highs and lows to be repeated we can hope some trend develops over time.
1428  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: June 04, 2023, 10:28:49 PM
Bottom line is ironic in that you dont want to see 80k this year, you think you do but you dont.  It would probably be destructive and negative longer term to see a rapid rise back to 80k this year, it would be unstable and fail in all probability.  That delays any greater gains that can last for longer then just months this year from occurring, we could be delayed for years.
If you want to sell at 80k, all and leave no BTC left walk away and not come back then Im not going to change your mind but anyone wanting BTC to succeed should refrain from cheerleading rapid changes in prices up or down; it equates to volatility and can easily be negative and discouraging to business who might suffer excess costs from the large change in value.
1429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 04, 2023, 06:53:08 PM
I imagine the OP is on a drinking requiem for a lost bet, a Viking burial for the dream of his fortunes.  If he played that much even in loss he'll get some kickback, the website will allow him to collect a monthly reward and he can venture this towards the next bet.    The basic advice easy to see in hindsight is to make sure to get back the original stake along the way.   If you get back your original money it will allow you to repeat an attempt regardless of your luck this time.
Maybe Im too much of a pessimist alot of the time also, my backbone is of a jellyfish consistency for adventures like this one but still theres some worth in preparing for the worst and hoping for the best; don't be all of just one of those things be both and arbitrage advantages from the stability many dont have.
1430  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your bitcoin May/June price analysis? on: June 04, 2023, 06:43:34 PM
Very simple phrase is fair for BTC as well which is go away in May come back past Labor day.   Look at the chart above for collated monthly gains and you can see the numerical justification for that centuries old saying now.   For whatever reason free markets for generations have not especially favored resolution or large movement over summer.   To a lesser extent volume tends to be light into year end also which can cause ironic effects.   In 2008 summer I can remember we had logged a 20% fall but without absolute knowledge of the wider problem, the market actually rose strongly into Autumn and we know how bad the autumn storms were that year.
BTC can move giant amounts but comparatively this year I'll watch but not expect too much till at least Oct area of trading.
1431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 03, 2023, 11:59:00 PM
Its not greed so much if he built the ability to make the bet himself then its his choice.    Always take profits along the way is what I would ideally choose to do but I play multi bets on sport all the time which of course is putting all of the previous bet onto the next match and rolling it over.    All he did different is do it manually this time, imo I would have taken out a thousand or few for myself as consolation prize.
Don't be too down on yourself and try to repeat the result but start small when building and stay calm in your choices in order to achieve as much.

Keep posting your bets and your reasoning for betting each way, I think the process of writing it down may help as a kind of revision to improve your results possibly.  Explaining a process can help solidify the reasoning for it, increase consideration of factors and will improve accuracy.
I'm venturing 1 merit towards this most noble endeavor in hope you complete your crusade in victory to your multi bets 🤴  Cool
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: June 03, 2023, 11:50:34 PM
Most gamblers can afford a phone of some kind and I've seen VR linked to that device.  It might not be the best VR but apparently its possible to build a holder for VR out of cardboard (or 3D print if you are determined to remain fancy and distinctive) and attach the phone to that, someone drew up the idea for that years ago.   So the entry level is covered in that way and phones are already on that pathway to wanting to become available to all like all large scale products.
1433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: June 03, 2023, 10:13:15 PM
Most trackers are capital based in bias which would mean mostly BTC is held by far anyway.    If you had the tracking to constantly update and alter that bias before closing to the highest volume hours that might be a tool worth having then and deploying.    Most of us will be inaccurate and I wouldn't want to hold all of the top10 coins equally as I dont think this will perform well enough to justify holding some of the losers vs the winners in that group though 10 is small its going to involve loss of some.
1434  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there anything like Bitcoin savings? on: June 02, 2023, 11:59:29 PM
The original currency banks centuries back would involve risk and in effect lending of capital to those banks by the savers.   Some institutions were owned by their savers in effect, very powerful compared vs todays ideas.  So in that sense this exists in BTC, usually it would be a gambling company that operates a scheme to involve players as being able to receive some royalty for bank rolling the operations of the daily gambling cash reserves required to fund the games win or loss.   That counts as savings to me, you dont get profits exactly but you wouldn't want to save with a company not able to balance its books so the old savings idea was a kind of check on excess risks taken by banks as it meant avoidance and lack of cash if they were reckless.
Now we have regulators and all sorts in national currency all banks answer to one and ultimately may fail centrally in that way also but in crypto its still down to the customer to be as aware as possible where they would put their capital, most exchange customers really arent as cautious as they should be.
1435  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: June 02, 2023, 11:33:27 PM
I never said that, people are replaceable but the big point missed is that society gains from the task more easily done by an automated construction such as an engine or modern tech like this is no different to the other progressive replacement of people seen by machines.  We gained from industry doing basic labor jobs more easily and efficiently, we'll gain from this too.
The point is it helps us more then it holds us back, if chatgpt can repeat search engine information to supply an answer faster and quicker then a person then great.  The person is capable of more then the bot in recalling information, the person should be doing more important work.  If the capitalist market says you do another job and should find a path to do it then its a gain all round, we dont have plain capitalist market economies anyway people are helped to transfer in their jobs very often.
1436  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: June 02, 2023, 11:14:21 PM
In the economics section I was thinking on a larger scale for entire populations so hydroponics and other similar ideas to increase production.  Without a doubt we have a food shortage for a growing world.   The tokens thing is great, I like it but its short term and so what they had people do in countries with failing currency, inflation is send home government employees for 1 day a week to grow their own food.  This was their pay in lieu as the people were desperately short of the money to buy the increasingly costly imported food; that's economics and the damage when it goes wrong.
1437  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your bitcoin May/June price analysis? on: June 02, 2023, 10:48:19 PM
We got rejected at the 50 day average recently and thats the area of a monthly average also, its not that it has to be resistance as they are not fixed points but it does seem to point towards BTC being under the ice with a fight ahead of it still to regain positive momentum.    Near term it looks much more positive but this is just an  in-week view, we are above the 7 day average which is positive but the free space to move before 28k and a repeat encounter is also low.

Propaganda lol   I dont think you mean to instigate such a negative adjective, advertise speak of actual qualities in the product yep   Grin

Propaganda is communication that is primarily used to influence or persuade an audience to further an agenda, which may not be objective and may be selectively presenting facts

I get people use it in the context of rap battles epic hype exaggerated slang etc. but we have actual propaganda instigated everyday on the internet so its a real thing unfortunately.  Some countries have entire government departments operating online with such an agenda to control popular perception or the last dynamic I heard of was to actively saturate Twitter tags to exclude free speech in a population.   Not required for a good product that should benefit users and crypto overall.

I've held tokens for a project for esports betting years ago, my objection to their operation was it was awkward to use to the point where you could place and pay for a bet but it would never appear just lost in their system and you would be minus your wager.  Plus just the very basic requirement was missing, it wasnt possible to bet on win or lose for a team in a 5 second kind of way lots of people just bet their team ; so that project didnt take off to say the least.

Any move in token price at this level is large, I'll buy on dips

Gambling isn't investing

I agree but a person can invest in themselves.  I've heard or have seen a TV program series which regularly tried to develop the skills of casual gamblers in Poker and there are other games where possibly you can justify the attitude of training and so investing in the skills deployable by a gambler.   Sports gambling is a skill ?   arguable, we have plenty of more random luck games anything dice based but I don't mind the argument of  at least building up experience and becoming a greater player with knowledge to gamble more sensibly.

How will gamblers afford it

VR would be cool to see, same as any game regularly playing the premium of gambling enables many things.   All you have to do to justify the expense is have the revenue stream of regular players who come your way rather then the oppositions games then its justified.    Considering how much competition there is and the size of gambling industry globally, it seems likely we can see VR and any technology involved in new gambling games at some point.
Scales of economy make this true, the common iphone or similar would have cost billions at one point in time as it was so specialized and unique but setup factories to supply components for millions into billions of people and per unit things become cheaper to provide and include in any product as a possibility.   VR isnt new, it just have to be put to work and actually be useful in that sense to the consumer, very posible.
