Bay is about to be added to Blocknet Decentralised Exchange so price may rise.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829576.6620

Is that official? I don't see any response to David's inquiry about being added in their thread?

market cap rises +1million every 10-15 min. ...its about to start to pump

Please don't use the word "pump", it is totally unprofessional...  Sad
1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: April 17, 2017, 02:01:03 PM
Last Friday, zcash disclosed a potential DOS attack vector that could remotely crash nodes. There has not been any attack and the patch to fix it was already released in the 1.8.0-1 release.

I have merged that patch, along with rebasing to the 1.8.0 release and this is now in the master branch. The notary nodes have updated and if you are running a mining pool or exchange it is a good idea to update over the coming days. As the bug causes a crash and it is not a consensus issue, if an attack materialized your node will crash, but it wont be able to do any damage other than that.

Granted it is an annoying thing, but no sense to disrupt normal operations for just this update.

So, update at your convenience. The next GUI update will have the 1.8.0-1 komodod in it.

Again, it is not a consensus issue, but a local node remote crash possibility. Since the notary nodes and some mining pools are already updated, you could just wait until your node crashes to update.

With all the attention given to this level of bug, it seems the zcash codebase is getting quite solid.

You are working hard and I can see your effort for all things running smoothly and I'm not wrong when I have bought 5k KMD with cheap price around 0,00012btc some days ago. now I can get a bit profit from this action but I want KMD to increase higher than 0.00025btc in next month.

If you want KMD price to go up, buy KMD. Tell your relatives to buy KMD. Tell you friends to buy KMD. And, after all that, buy some more KMD. That's how the price raises,  Grin

Devs are you thinking about masternodes ? Yes or not , In my opinion masternodes are the best for Daily rewards and altcoins.
Thx for read and Bay to the moon!!!!

Masternodes also introduce points of failure and smell of centralization. If done at all, they must be crafted very carefully. I can't answer for David but, I don't think BAY is introducing masternodes.

we should relax. its still beta. i even wondered that it got a pump it the last weeks.
the software is still not ready yet. the smart ones sold at 0,2$ the patient ones will wait.
the team already shows that they do their best. i dont think that they concentrate fully on marketing
i hope that they mainly concentrate on fix all these bugs. its good that agama is working better than before.
that the balance is not showing up at some people is the next big thing.
its still the reason i didnt put my kmd into the agama wallet.

a safe and bugfree wallet is the most important thing. i will only use the full product and not a half finished one.
especially for financial things its very important.
but its not that bad that they released a beta so they can fix all the bugs that happens to the broad mass to make a more safer wallet.
they are working hard recreating the website planing things to satisfy the investors for the moment.
will still take a bit time until they have released the full product. the price isnt important when its not ready yet.
the smart ones can be happy when they daytrade their kmd and make some profits of it.

When will people understand that you DON'T "put" your balance into the Agama wallet? Your "balance" exists on the BLOCKCHAIN, it doesn't matter if the wallet is perfect or not, heck, it doesn't matter if the wallet works at all, your "balance ie: coins, are safe in the blockchain. As long as you have your passphrase you will be able to access your funds at any time from any KMD wallet.

Geeez!
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: April 14, 2017, 03:47:24 AM
Of course not. Your software is closed source. You think ima trust you and your software on my computer which contains a fortune in crypto currency.
You're crazy in your head mate.

Although it would be stupidē to have a fortune in crypto on your machine AND brag about it in large red letters, you have a point.
Forking is part of the game, closed source is highly suspicious.

If you read the responses you would know this software isn't closed source. I just change variable names. The source is at www.davtonia.com/BitHalo/HaloOBF.zip

There are instructions for building and a config file that defaults the client to BitBay.

Might have to put that in the OP soon! Seems to be a popular rumor... Grin Grin Grin

ok i'm bought some SYS today 1800 sat...
Hope i don't late for party

It seems you made a good choice. In the short term it is a lot up to what bitcoin price will be but in the long run I am sure this project will be big and gain a lot of traction and capitals.
which is correct from the investors points of view sys still have a lots to give to its holders, its not just pnd project but working project that have a lots of progress to expect, its not late mate its just up to you how will you satisfied yourself with some growth coming from your holdings.

No sys takes whatever holders give to sys team without asking any questions or worrying about a low point in holders financial affairs. Sys doesnt give u innovations but rather it takes money from u and never sends it back to u. U helped to make sys better than it used to be and what u got back? Nothing but slap in the face and moral anguish, yet u find time to post here.

Interesting comments and, rather difficult to understand but, it would seem you have an axe to grind, correct? I, on the other hand, have been invested in SYS since the ICO and find they are doing rather a good job of growing my investment. Could it be the difference of actually having invested in SYS and just trolling?

1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: April 13, 2017, 04:24:40 PM
I notice in the last undervalued coins thread on the main alt page bay was recognised by many as being well under valued. That is quite a good sign, the word is breaking out gradually.

Finally. I'm watching all these newbie coins declaring they have the first decentralized market or smart contracts and other things BAY/HALO has had for years and patiently ignoring the urge to tell them to "F" off. The technology here is game changing. It's about time people started to notice!
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: April 13, 2017, 04:17:45 PM

Well, the point of an ICO is to provide funds for them to develope and grow the coin. That way, the "Devs" will get paid.
 Wink

The Dev's get paid if the coin succeeds.

ICO's and taxes are not necessary, IMO.

This is true but devs have to live meantime. They deplete their stash of cloak to live on and as time passes their incentive to work for cloak depletes or they starve to death.

Block tax is very successful with small super block at the start to get things going if they need funds now.

You don't have funding and your team is small or works part time say goodbye to your coin as bigger teams with more time outcode/out design and out market you.

I only have a tiny amount of cloak so I am not too worried what cloak does but i am pushing for the same thing on a couple of coins I do have a lot more of because they are lacking in the same areas as cloak

100% agree cryptohunter! Funding is the most important thing for the future of the cloak in moment. No funding - no developers, so there is no development.

That was exactly my point in suggesting an ICO. I know the term "ICO" is repugnant to some and, I can understand that but, as crypto moves closer and closer to the accepted financial world, we need to use whatever legal means we can to raise funds for development and marketing. Many an excellent idea was lost for lack of marketing. We are approaching critical mass. Hundreds and hundreds of ALT coins, thousands of projects and a few legitimate coders and developers who have the ability to take their projects to the masses. Lets support our's shall we?

1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: April 13, 2017, 04:08:03 PM
Marketing
Conclusions

Let's think about killer application that target mass markets outside of crypto. What could those be? Ideas? Smiley

TLDR. I want to be able to hand someone a crypto currency token and want them to trust that the value is on it, and I can't spend it behind their back.

THIS IS AN OLDER IDEA, REPLACE THE OLD NAMES WITH THE NEW ONES

Quote
"interesting. it will be pretty tricky to make sure a transfer is valid (ie no double spends), however there should be some way to use hashing, multisig and encryption to enable this.

not sure about the fiat side of things (regulations), but at some point this would make it much easier of people to adopt crypto. making possession of it trump any hidden copies is the key. there might be some research about this already, my guess is that it will need to use zero knowledge proofs"

James

Quote
"Interesting, I like the idea of real world connections to crypto, will need to think more about this one.

I think you should look into NFC as your communication method or maybe clever QR (address on outside private key on inside fold) this would be much cheaper while still having the same type of effect."

MICRO MONEY   rev 2

Is intended to be a Micro SD Card wallet technology to help facilitate Off-Blockchain transactions. This would allow various crypto types and amounts to be put on a normal or custom printed Micro SD Card to be holdable, tradeable, refillable, and collectable.

WHY:
Right now paper money is a wonderful anonymous tool. Unfortunately paper money cannot be sent through the Internet. Micro Money is an idea to combine tangible currency with Internet capabilities as well as provide an easy to use crypto-coin container for the public.

For the general public it is easier to understand harder concepts like crypto currencies if it is tangible and you can hold it in your hand. I also wanted something more dynamic then a paper wallet or a non electronic collectible wallet token. And I've observed that humans love to collect miniatures, whether they are micro-machine toys, DnD figurines, doll houses, train sets, models, muscle men, gi joe, etc, etc, etc. Basically this is cool, fun, and something I would not mind owning and I hope others would as well.
(DISCLAIMER: This is not intended to be a replacement for the trezor or other similar wallets but a functional, secure method that promotes off-blockchain transactions.)

I envision it working something like this:

HOW it works for the user:
1.The user obtains a Micro SD Card, regular off the shelf or custom printed with coin logos.
2. The user inserts the card into a reader.
3. The user loads the SuperNET wallet and selects the Micro Money app.
4. The user selects the type of crypto to load and the amount from the wallet.
5. The app then loads that amount onto the card. (The app only allows one value per card to be added)
6. The user can now remove the card for trading or storage.
7. If the user wishes to verify the balance on the card it is held near a NFC device to verify.
8. If the user wishes to spend the value on the card it is inserted, and transfer/spend is selected and it is transferred by the wallet. (The Micro Money card is now empty at this point and ready to repeat step 1.)

HOW it works for the app:
1. A new Micro SD Card is formated per the app. (A partition is setup)
2. If possible one of the partitions is hidden.
3. The app generates wallet keys for the type of crypto selected.
4. The value selected by the user is transferred to this new wallet.
5. On the hidden partition, a hash of the private key and a hash of the public key is created.
The idea is to not make it easy for the public to know either key so the value is effectively locked to the card.
6. To prevent double spends the wallet keys should be un-viewable and/or un-retrievable by the user in the app and the wallet.
7. To verify balance on the card, the app uses NFC and translates the public key hash and verifies balance.
8. To spend/transfer from the card the app translates the private key, moves the value it contains, then deletes the keys. The user now repeats step 1.

This is an excellent idea! It helps brake down the barriers of exchanges and what some people have called crypto; "pretend money" Don't see any technical barriers but, lots of marketing and education would be needed. Does it make sense to redirect current development & marketing initiatives to something like this?
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on BiTTREX 🔹 on: April 13, 2017, 03:55:31 PM
Right now, ARK has got be one of the best performing legitimate ICO coins ever. My 1.3 Bitcoin investment in the ICO is now worth 6 Bitcoin ($6323.12 USD) Add to that the future expected value increase and I seriously wish I had put in much more but, I'm very pleased with the performance of what I do have.

Canna and crew, I salute you! A job well done. Now don't fuck it up!  Grin
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: April 13, 2017, 01:14:27 AM
Please: no tax, no ICO. Just let the Dev's do their stuff. Let the dogs (us) eat.

That way the Dev's will get paid. Thus far, I see a great job.

A PoS coin that is private. Shadowcash and Dash are dying. Peercoin and Blackcoin are "has been" and not private.

Let the Dev's focus on one thing: a great coin. Invest to mint, rather that buy hardware and toss in a month or two.

I see a mega-shift happening here. From PoW to PoS. From "pubic" to "private." Cloakcoin has both.

Where will the smart money go?

One request: please -- nobody get excited for another week or two. That way I can buy cheap.

There is a known Java and fix for it out there somewhere if you read back a few pages.

edit:
https://github.com/SuperNETorg/Agama/issues/74

p.s. are you running build 0.1.6.2e
https://github.com/SuperNETorg/Agama/releases

Also use the installer version rather than the zip file to make sure all the dependencies are installed.

i used the installer version and followed issue 74 and still not working. windows 64bit. anyone get it working?

Have you checked your Virus/Maleware scanner? Some issues there especially with Avast.

Any interest in an ICO to fund development?

Yes, that was something else that cropped up in the funding discussions. Move the project to a new code base (porting Enigma and CloakShield) and new chain and burning Cloak in exchange for the new Cloak coins. The coins could all be pre-generated and exchanged directly for Cloak. In terms of an ICO, extra coins could be generated at the same time and sold off during the ICO to raise funding. Moving to a new code base would ensure everything is up to date and most likely allow us to get a few new features for free. If we're going to change the PoS algo, block/transaction format (for better privacy) it would make sense to do that during the refresh so we don't have to carry code to deal with the previous blockchain format, which would keep things nice and lean. Personally, I think this is my favoured option. There are outfits who would manage the ICO and take care of things such as exchange listing. Not sure if that would get us onto Poloniex, but it would be worth some investigation. The funding from an ICO could enable us to do some really great stuff imho.

For sustained funding for the future, it would make sense for the network to generate funding for a Cloak Foundation during the mining process, which could be used to fund the project for the future long-term. Once a governance system is in place, the Cloak community can decide how that funding is spent, on what features it's spent and also have some control over the level of foundation funding. I think it's critical to get the fundamentals for the future hashed out as soon as possible. Funding also greatly affects the roadmap for Cloak. With more funding, there are more resources and we can be a lot more ambitious with our plans.

I like it, I like it a lot! That would solve so many problems including the lingering "scam" image from the old developers. As a LONG time holder, this would open up many new opportunities for CLOAK. Might want to put up a vote and see how it goes.

is this still going to be part of JL777 or supernet asset holding in NXT AE?

Yes supernet holds several million kmd. You can consider this as part of the nav and its proceeds will go to fund development

What about the price of KMD coins . it's crazy when I see this coin to have a big decrease during more 1 weeks and it continues to get down more.
Dev and KMD team haven't got any new plans to boost it up although this coin is undervalued . I really feel regretful when holding this coin.

No one ever taught you patience is a virtue? Do you really expect to make a fortune overnight? Give it some time, all good things come to those who wait. Personally, I bought mine during the ICO and have made a very nice profit and I intend to hold them for a long time. Things will change, have patience...
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: April 11, 2017, 09:22:41 PM
time will come when the software is more stable. when its bugfree it will be one of the most unique coin in cryptoland.
the software at all is great. i say kmd isnt ready yet even if i have big amounts of it.
when the team delivers what it should (a bugfree alpha version)
it will be a coin that deserved to get listed at every exchange out there.
it has not used its full potential yet.
and i wouldnt be proud of investing when i would see this coin get pumped when its not ready yet.
the software is worth more than just pump n dump.

Time is on our side, patience is our friend...
