Why price down

No reason but FUD, development is the same, product the same, developer the same. Maybe even the competition that tries to create confusion.

The entire market is down, it's a correction more or less across the board. Only thing we don't know is how deep it will go. Time will tell but, you can be sure it will reverse and start back up. Just don't know when...  Keep the faith and take advantage of this buying opportunity!  Grin

EDIT: Actually, ECC is doing well and recovering right now:
                                                                                                                     1 hr           24 hr         7 days
113   E-Currency Coin  ECC   $12,075,560   $0.000534   22,614,084,893   $472,578   +42.26%   -24.69%   +238.90%

Account is locked.Huh  A kurva anyátokat!!!!

mocskos szemétláda szarjankó tolvajok  Huh

You locked your own account  Roll Eyes

We responded to your support request and unlocked your account within 3 hours.

That's great, gotta love it!   Grin  On a more serious note, all the stupid BS aside, their interface is well organized, they are easy to use and transfers, in and out, are super fast. Until proven otherwise all this scam talk is just that, talk.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 15, 2017, 03:07:16 AM

Loaded up new wallet, no coins at all now. Well, .4 coins but not 58 million! Any ideas?

try rescanning

open the wallet. go settings > options > open configuration file then add

rescan=1

on a new line at the bottom. save the file. restart wallet. after it rescans (can take a little while) it should show all of your coins. and you can remove rescan from the configuration file

(if i missed anyones questions, sorry, there were a lot of posts today)

Did as directed, coins are back and wallet has synced. Removed the rescan command. I'm going to let it run for while before I restart it. I'll let you know... THANKS!

Followup: Made some transfers, in and out, super fast and no problems. Final test will be staking, will advise. Again, thanks to Griffith for all the work he has put into this project.

Anyone know why all of a sudden, a boatload of ECC that I had confirmed & Available is now listed as "Immature" and "with 1 confirmations, will be available after 50"Huh

What changed?Huh What's going on?

EXACTLY the same thing that happened to me. 50 mil changed to immature then, after latest release, disappeared completely leaving .5 coins. I'm sure it's fixable but, thats a lot of money right now and it would hurt to loose it!  Sad

Why is everyone is focused on how good the dev actually is, when i am having issues to synchronize my wallet, it's not working and i cannot see my balance. Fuck me right? Smiley

Relax dude, it will get straightened out. Take a deep breath and have a cool drink. Good things come those who wait. BTW, reviving a coin as old as this with so many original problems isn't child's play, he will get it straight. Be glad he cares...

1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 14, 2017, 06:03:03 PM
Let me share a story with all of you to show how ECC is a scam and Griffith is a Bad Dev:

Yesterday i was worried with safety, as if you unlock your wallet for stacking, it would be open for sending payments also, and if someone took over your computer (by presence or remotely) could just send coins for himself and you would be done...

Because of that risk, i decided to keep wallet offline, and that would not help the network, or i would get ant minted coins.

Talk about that with Greg Griffith.

Few minutes later he tells me that he is compiling new wallet and adding function where you could unlock wallet for staking purposes, but to send coins, would ask for password, adding more security.
In less than half an hour tells me to download new wallet, and help me to solve few hiccups that were happening.

Well...

How scammy is that? Does Dev cares for community? I will let you decide on that Cheesy

What, exactly, is wrong with you? The Dev helped you and you think that is scammy? I suggest you get out of crypto right now before someone else tries to "help" you!

R-J-F , i think i already made clear that i was being sarcastic toward those who call ECC a scam, no?

Sorry if my post made some misunderstood - We are in the same side. I'm a holder and a believer too.

If you see my posts here and in slack, you will see clearly what is my position relating to ECC project and CryptoUnited team

Yea, sorry about that, tried to delete the message after I realized you were joking but, obviously not quick enough!  Grin

hi guys sorry noob here and this thread is massive! so my apologies for asking something which for sure must have been asked along the way already.
i just got the ecc wallet, it's been out of sync. osx. made a new address. bought some ecc on an exchange and want to dump it into the wallet tomorrow, but want to be careful and not lose anything to the void! am i doing something wrong re: syncing the wallet? i know with ETH i had to sync and wait like 10 hours for the chain to sync and download etc.
thanks in advance for your time.
feel free to message me so as to not clog this up with repeat answers.

Hey,

The fastest way to sync is to download the bootstrap here https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/ecc/ecc_bootstrap.zip

This bootstrap will contain the complete ECCoin folder, but is without wallet.dat

How to use:
1.) rename your ECCoin map to ECCoin2 -     User->Library->Application Support ->ECCoin
2.)unpack ECCoin-bootstrap-12-06.17.zip and rename the unpacked map ECCoin
3.)Put the map in Application Support (Mac) or ApplicationData (Windows)  User->Library->Application Support
4.)Copy your wallet.dat from ECCoin2 into ECCoin
5.) Start the wallet
6.) If necessary do a repairwallet in the console of the wallet.

Installed the new wallet yesterday, been running since then but all my coins are "immature" nothing in the available column, 58 million in the Immature. I would think enough blocks would have passed by now to mature them. What to do?
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: June 14, 2017, 03:06:30 AM
well, it was written by mike adams......but if he's stating facts, then facts are facts......unless they're not.
i'm waiting to see how it plays out.   i sent some cloaks to a friend in hawaii who can't cash out through coinbase, so i know that part is true.
mike adams has always been down on cryptos though.... he should stick to health stuff

Actually, it looks like one disgruntled customer who, perhaps, does or does not exist. I would wait for the other shoe to drop before I took it as fact. Where are the complaints from all the "other" disgruntled people in those states? I've used Coinbase since they went online and the only complaint I have is that they need more bandwidth and horsepower to keep up and their fees are a bit high. I've even used their support and found it adequate for my needs. Also, the "sensational" nature of the article is not to my taste, sets of alarm bells about the true purpose of the site that posted it.

1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 13, 2017, 01:20:27 PM
So, after upgrading to the new windows wallet, all my coins (50mm) show to be immature, nothing in the "Available" or "Pending" columns, all 50 million in the Immature. What's up with that?

Update: Restarted the wallet, now I have no coins, all gone.

Perhaps this is the answer of your question:

Hi everyone,

With the massive update released last night there was bound to be a bug somewhere. 11,000 updated lines of code is hard to review effectively in one weekend. It turns out there was a staking bug. There is a typo that prevents the wallet from staking. It was found and fixed this morning. However upon staking, the wallet showed all staking transactions as 0's in the gui and it looked like coins had randomly disappeared when they had not. I checked the chain itself and the staking is fine. So this was only a display error. To prevent a panic with people thinking that their coins had disappeared, i wont release the staking patch until i get home tonight and can fix the gui display issue.

Everything else in the new wallet does work. Sending and receving coins does work fine.

I have removed the new wallets temporarily until a fix comes out tonight. OSX wallets will also be out tonight with the fix.

Sorry about this hiccup in the coins development.

-Griffith

Please add custom data directory options in the gui for wallet install on next rev.

Thanks!

you can create a *.bat file (if you are on windows) like this:
Code:
start /b eccoin.exe -datadir=YOUR_DESIRED_DIRECTORY_PATH

replace eccoin.exe with whatever executable that match your machine OS (64 or 32 bit).
hope that help.

Thanks for that!  Do I need to use the batch file every time I activate the wallet?

A batch file will do what you want but in a rather inelegant way. Just add the directory info to the shortcut. Check it out here: https://superuser.com/questions/29569/how-to-add-command-line-options-to-shortcut  This is for XP but it works in all versions of Windows.

Yes, could be. I'll wait for the new version before I panic!   Grin

For some of them, it wasn't even about money to begin with and still isn't, it's about being an early adopter and learning something new, something that isn't written in any history book but will change the course of the future for many generations.
You put that so well felixir. And dipping that toe in the water to be part of something so fundamental to the future can be really cheap. Maybe not if they're not aware or wanting to have a fraction of a BTC. But if you want a few DNotes, you can get them cheaper than almost any other form of entertainment.

Thanks! Glad to be back. Might want to put a link on the last page of the old forum unless, of course, you don't want people finding this one!  Grin

With Crypto Trading Volumes Up, Coinbase Stumbles Again

https://dcebrief.com/with-crypto-trading-volumes-up-coinbase-stumbles-again/

Yes they stumbled but, they did not cause it. I basically watched the whole thing go down, what a mess.  It all started when a bunch of whales at okCoin decided to eliminate their long positions on BTC. Thousands, possibly tens of thousands, of Bitcoin were dumped over an hour or so and the rest is history. Poor CoinBase got inundated with buy orders mostly when the bottom fell out of the price and came to a screeching halt. Best I can tell there was some panic mixed in when a number of Tiawan banks stopped supporting BTC/USD markets. My wife saw the buy opportunity but could not get on. Her comment? "Figures..."  Oh well, maybe next time.

I see this as a failure to scale up quickly enough and have the reserve computing power, and big enough pipe to handle what used to be anomalies but are becoming common place. The truest saying out there is "Only the strong survive" It's time for the exchanges to bulk up!

The new windows wallets are available on the website. (all links in the OP are valid once the wallets get uploaded)

Linux wallets are on the website

OSX is a few hours.

Bootstrap.zip is on website

Thanks for the fast re-upload and hard work!

There still are very few nodes ---- are there some that I should manually add to the wallet to get more connection bars?  I only have 2 nodes so far.......

Here some addnodes from coinexchange.io ECC peers :

addnode=188.165.63.164
addnode=1.127.48.42
addnode=73.167.159.179

addnode=5.172.255.48
addnode=121.74.24.15

Thanks --- I have 3 nodes now --- we'll see how many show up over time.

How does staking work with this coin?  Let's say I put ECC coins in my wallet ---- does staking & the associated "interest" accrue automatically?  Is there a setting or command in the wallet that needs to be activated?  When is interest paid out?

Just make sure the wallet is unlocked and has a balance. Staking is automatic.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 13, 2017, 02:38:13 AM
For staking is the wallet locked or unlocked?

Unlock to stake...
1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 12, 2017, 09:47:51 PM
We can first go with hitBTC and Cryptopia or other smaller but relieable exchanges. This will boost the price to mininum 40 sats. Once pricing has been stablized there and development is in good procress we can talk about Bittrex which requires a moon suit^^, targeting areas far above 100 sats.

Cheers
Agree, it's better to start from the bottom until big platform like Poloniex or Bittrex.

The coin is already on a small exchange, why go for another small exchange?

1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: June 12, 2017, 09:19:52 PM

Understood about technical details, no problem, just exciting to hear! Also glad to hear everyone is doing well, perhaps I can visit again next year when I'm in Ohio, we will see. So, why be equal to your best competitor? I say, blast out in front! Although there is something to be said for being a smaller target!

It will be great if you can visit us next year. We may open our conference to include more people.

I am a conservative guy who believe in taking one step at a time, in this case, a gigantic step.

Step one - aim to be equal to. Step two - be superior or better. Even if we missed, being a top 5 in our industry aren't bad. It's all about striving to be the best with the right mind-set. Cheers!

I certainly see your point, one step at a time so you don't trip over yourself in the rush to success.

1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 12, 2017, 08:54:42 PM
IMO Bittrex is the only choice we have.
Poloniex picks the coins they want, not the other way arround.

But... more and more traders are switching to Bittrex the last few weeks.
If there is a way we could get this to Bittrex, 100SAT will be reached before the end of this summer.

With kind regards

Goldmaxx

Agreed, this makes sense. We could waste a lot of resources on Polo and get nothing. Bittrex first.

1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 12, 2017, 08:52:31 PM
Good News Everyone,

The new wallets are up on the website. (OSX will be released tomorrow)

You can either head on over to http://www.cryptounited.io and download the ecc wallets from the coins section or follow the links on the OP.

https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/ecc/eccoin-win32.exe
https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/ecc/eccoin-win64.exe
https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/ecc/eccoin-deb32
https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/ecc/eccoin-deb64

This wallet was a HUGEEE upgrade from the last one. so it is possible that there are some bugs left that i didnt find during testing.

If you have any issues or notice any bugs that you would like to report with the new wallet, you can either:
1) create an issue on the github (http://www.github.com/greg-griffith/eccoin)
2) send us an email on the contact section of the website.
3) post in slack(PM or support channel)
4) PM me on bitcointalk
5) Post about it on this forum.

Over this next week, I would like to ask the community to help us get this coin listed on another exchange. We are hoping for either bittrex or poloniex. Any discussion on which people think would be better is encouraged. or any other input of any kind.

The CryptoUnited team is also working on updating sections of the website. as well as making more podcast and videos to expand our current youtube channel with more information helpful for the cryptocurrency community in general.

This coin is going to change the way people think about crypto currencies

-Griffith

Should most likely start with Bittrex. Poloniex is tough nut to crack.
