1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: July 12, 2017, 10:33:53 PM
This is Nonsense.

The domain had expired and these clowns have trouble even keeping their crappy site online.

Something is not right here. They don't even have one paragraph explaining ECC e currency coin.

 Huh

You have NO idea what you are talking about do you? The project was left to die by the original developers. This coin has been around much longer than you and will be here after your gone. The current dev is working to salvage ECC and bring it back to life. I suggest you learn before you post or, just shut your yap. When you have been here as long as Griffith, perhaps you can speak again.

1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: July 12, 2017, 03:42:45 PM
i bought some @0.003 Sad it is not good who is dumping? or some investors are dumping too much

Don't know why people are dumping... unless they are trying to drive price down to pick up cheap.

I'm trying to buy the dips and holding in my wallet for staking :-)

Some technical analysis from someone who knows what they are talking about would be helpful. Last I saw target is still 0.01

Many reasons. Some people have little understanding of the markets and panic at the first dip in price. Some just think they need to cut their losses before it gets worse. And some have their own reasons to bring the price down ie: whales and big speculators. As for technical analysis, might as well be looking into a crystal ball. Some small changes and trends are predictable but, for the most part, it's all a guess until the market matures.

So, my "guess" is stick with the 0.01 but settle in for an extended wait time...

1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on BiTTREX 🔹 on: July 12, 2017, 03:36:16 PM
Just bought at reasonable and correct price from the afraid traders and now enjoying my risk. Actually at each dip some people think that is lats dip and world has reached to an end. When markets don't rise then dips are helpful for whales to make money from these movements.

It's a fact that smart traders profit from dumb ones. But remember, dumb ones become smart eventually if they survive, be careful...  Grin
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: July 12, 2017, 03:32:26 PM

It's the market not ARDOR, it's been a blood bath for all the top 100 and most of the crap as well. Get used to it, not the last time you will see this. The way to live with this volatility is to embrace it and make the right move at the right time and, learn to hold even if your asset is loosing money. Don't blame ARDOR, blame the whales, miners, and immature Bitcoin developers.

1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: July 12, 2017, 03:18:54 PM
How low will Komodo go before coming back?  Any guesses?

The answer lies in the market in general and really has very little to do with KMD itself. When all the top 100 on CMC are in the red, you have to just take a step back and trust in the market to correct itself in due time. After all this crap about Bitcoin's upcoming changes and possible forks has worked itself out, things will settle and the coins with a future and a purpose will raise once again.

If I had to guess, and it's simply an opinion, I would say not much lower then it is now, if any, unless the Bitcoin causes a panic later this summer.

1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | FUNDING THE FUTURE WITH THE FUTURE OF CURRENCY on: July 11, 2017, 06:31:00 PM
Hey Dev team,

I really hope you all are demanding info from Polo about the trading freeze and wallet freeze. Someone from the EMC2 Dev team should be flying down to the Polo HQ to demand answers if Polo won't respond to them. This does nothing but hurt EMC2 everyday that goes by that Polo has it frozen. It causes doubt in investor confidence and results in price decline on other exchanges. EMC2 dev team should be able to take legal action against Polo for causing investor confidence to decline since they can't give a reason for freezing the coin. Dev team please tell me you are doing more than just opening a ticket with Polo.

really? ...

magic idea that ...

why dont we do that with all exchanges that do this in the future? ...

why dont we fly down to the USA and RUSSIA and NEW ZEALAND whenever a situation like this happens? ...

mate - you think these exchanges dont have enough crap to deal with on their own - than to have any one of us knocking on their door? ... that does NOTHING to speed things up - or get things done ...

tell you what - why dont you fly there yourself and do the same thing? ... easier said than done? ... not your responsibility? ... wont be able to do anything at all when you get there and see them - as they shrug their shoulders and say 'you have to wait in line like all the others'? ...

seriously ... some of the things i read in all these threads on here are quite bizarre ... this 'advice' you have given us all ( not just the dev team ) takes one of the bigger slices of the bizarre cake though ...

just cant stop shaking my head at that one ...

#crysx

If your willing to fly to these countries for conferences that will offer good promo for EMC2. Why not fly somewhere to make sure the coins is able to be traded? I can tell you that this is bad publicity for EMC2 and continues as long as Polo has it frozen without answers.  From a PR perspective on the coin it makes sense. I assume the dev team does not have money on this coin in Polo otherwise they may give a damn. Meanwhile all the Polo investors are getting screwed. it's absolutely ridiculous that Polo would take two weeks and still not respond to tickets on this. So since the dev team is apparently not getting info and neither are the investors. The next step will no doubt be to contact the SEC.

The simple fact is this: Attempting to meet with exchanges in person is not going to do anything about an off line wallet. They won't move any faster or do anything differently. In fact, it would only delay and prolong the process. This is the new digital world, things like this are worked out online, that's the whole point of crypto and related digital, on line services. So, relax, this isn't the first time this has happened and, it won't be the last but, it will get fixed. And, nobody at the "SEC" will give a crap. This is an unregulated market and they will not get involved. On the subject of being an investor, I am currently holding a very large bag and to tell you the truth, I don't have a problem, yet.

1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: July 10, 2017, 09:27:17 PM
strange bay hit so hard today ... huge dump but those selling now will only have to buy back in higher

shame the peg isnt quite ready people would be jumping into bay rather than out right now.

Entire market is getting trashed. We need Bitcoin to figure out what it wants to be when it grows up before this will reverse...

BitBay Community Update -  7/9/17

The Core team has come to the conclusion that it is in the best interest to revise the current website first, and then begin building a brand new website. This will give us more time to conceptualize our new branding guidelines.

The development team is finalizing the builds for the new release of Client. You can expect this release any day now. If you missed last week’s community update, this new version will update the following:
     Main update:
The new built-in price tracking Custom Contract Template and soon to be released Buy/Sell Anything Template. This price tracking is vital for merchants to keep their merchandise as accurate as possible in real time.

     Minor fixes:
Will provide a superficial fix to Mac synchronization issue
Updated addnode list to the bitbay.conf file allowing your Client to find network connections faster.

Blocknet has successfully tested an atomic trade transaction pairing a trade between BitBay and Digibyte! Their decentralized exchange (Dex) will allow BIP 65 compatible coins to trade with each other through direct exchange pairings (no need to transition to Bitcoin first). When they complete their design, cryptocurrencies will be able to trade coins without the need for traders to deposit their capital into the hands of a middleman and therefore provide a reduced commission fee per trade!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=890531.msg20008293#msg20008293

We are still organizing our preliminary budget before we release an official update to our community on our marketing fund, will update community as soon as it's finalized.

The development of our two secret summer projects continues. We will hopefully have more information on their progress by next week.

Very nice, 100% with you...
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: July 10, 2017, 06:09:46 PM
Reality check anyone?

Premise: "Interesting roadmap, serious dev, very promising coin, blah blah"
Facts: "Bugs, bugs, bugs... Roadmap not respected, credibility dropping."

I cheer for the coin (since I'm bagholding quite a sum), and this is just the plain truth.

It's July 10th, we could call it an epic fail and do something else maybe?
Or do you really enjoy talking about bug fixing all the f time?

Yea, NO, I don't think so. You need to learn patience, it's what coding and crypto development run on. This Dev has taken on a project no one else wanted and, coming from a fellow software engineer, is doing a good job of sorting it out. I'm satisfied with the progress and I'm holding several hundred million, how about you?

Quote from you on June 14: "...things take a little time after all."
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] VeriCoin Proof of Stake-Time Currency | New Roadmap Released on: July 10, 2017, 04:28:54 PM
I bet Vericoin will be delisted form poloniex because volume is vanishing and community is very unactive.

So I think holding VRC is suicid

And I think you are as goofy as your name... Good luck with that prediction and, please, learn to spell if you are going to use English.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: July 10, 2017, 12:54:15 PM
Let me show you the safe way [...]

Thank you. That was the clearest statement to this topic so far.

Just wanted to say "Welcome" in case nobody else did. You were lucky to get someone like "lurker10" who understands that it isn't as easy as most of the "old timers" here thing it is to figure all this out on your own. That was my problem when getting involved with NXT and all it's branches and limbs, no one would would take the time to explain it all to a "newbie". Problem is, without newbies, sooner or later, it all falls apart...

1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: July 10, 2017, 12:44:22 PM
hy DEV . We have problem on yobit. Some of as sand xvg from yobit to bittrex and now we have message "transfer from cold storage"  Can you do something ?
Yobit is not a recommended exchange for Verge. It is not listed on the resources page and Dev does not work with them.

YoBit is, in may opinion and many others, NOT a recommended exchange for ANYTHING. Your other choices include Bittrex, Cryptopia, NovaExahange, Coingather, Bitsquare and C-Cex. I'm sure there are others by now as well. Any of these would be preferable to YoBit unless you have no choice but to use them.

We had a great turn out at the open house, estimated 300 people showed up. There was a DNotes / Four Pillars booth, which Brandon presented flyers, books, and DNotes videos. Below is the video Alan created as a presentation for the open house. Pictures and more info to follow.

Congrats on a successful event, sorry I missed it. Looks like it all went very well. Perhaps you might do it again?

1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: July 09, 2017, 01:29:15 AM
Wouldn't turn my back on waves either. Seems to be progressing nicely.

From your statement it does not pertain any information about this thread that is Komodo. Please  concentrate on KMD and just for the sake of comparison, include statements with KMD so no bias. How can a newbie all these stuff unless it is an alternate account Wink
Apologizes, thought it was relevant given the shared ancestry of kmd and waves and, I'd wager, there's more than just me on this thread who have been holding both since the respective ipos. I'm a 'newbie' because for the most part i don't post every time an opinion pops into my mind and I probably am lacking an understanding of proper etiquette. At any rate, it wasn't meant as a trolling comment by any means and enough said on the matter.

No harm done, thanks for explaining your comment and, your input.

1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: July 08, 2017, 09:59:40 PM
I hope next time dogecoin can return to the price of 140sts because I have invested heavily in dogecoin. I think dogecoin in 2020 will cost $ 0.5 because the foundation and cost of dogecoin is very good and cheap

Wow. 110131919226 Doge x 0,5$  =   Grin Grin

Yes, dream on. Dreaming is what this industry is all about. It greases the wheels and holds up the structures. Dreaming is the foundation of it all...

1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: July 08, 2017, 09:49:12 PM
Things are progressing well.

I think a few months down the line people will be kicking themselves that they didnt horde KMD at the current price point.

Huge undertaking getting close to coming together.  Cannot wait to see what this becomes......

.....a contender for Ethereum's crown that actually works as designed perhaps?
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: July 08, 2017, 06:42:01 PM
Even now I have trouble sleeping. But that is only because of me. Now I know when I will make a big investment, I will have to wait and see how the market goes. I bought because I researched this coin and I find it a good one. They have a different approach and a good plan. I plan on holding and staking.... I watch the market 24/7 with little time to sleep. I hope on finding time to adjust things so that I can sleep and go outside more.

I should have waited until this post to throw out my Caceres advice above.

Watching markets 24/7...having trouble sleeping....this is no recipe for happy holding. Trust me, I live this reality myself with my own technology startup that I work for and have invested deeply into (far more than I can afford to lose). I spend 24/7 doing exactly what you mention, not sleeping, anxiously stressing, wondering about every market machination....I promise myself that I'll never be in this position again.

And crypto gives me a chance to prove that declaration. Hold. Hold some more. And then hold longer than that. I realize I, and no one else controls how I emotionally feel about those previous 10 words. I can hold and hold, and that understanding of the long term value here means that nobody can tell me how to feel about holding through short term market movements.

I deeply implore you, don't stay up thinking of the market. You might lose your whole investment. Don't kid yourself. If you study the great Bell Labs mathematician John Kelly and his "Kelly Criterion"...the risk of ruin in the crypto space is nontrivial. You can go bust, very easily. Because it's very very hard to make bets in a completely Kelly compatible way.

Literally the only way to combat this is to bet with money you can completely lose, and divorce yourself from market movements in the short term. Because it's almost impossible to make bets with 0 risk of ruin, which is what being Kelly compatible means.

I have not bet this way with my technology startup, and it eats me alive inside. I wont ever make this same emotional mistake again, and that has started with crypto investing.

Basically, I agree with you about only betting money you can't afford to loose but, on the other hand, if that were the only accepted formula, this industry and all that goes along with it, would not exist. Sometimes, we need to follow up on that "wild ass guess" or hunch that has been eating at us wither we can afford it or not. Many of histories greats could not afford to loose what they invested but, they ultimately prevailed. Each individual has to access their exposure and ability to absorb a lose before turning the cards over. Many have weighed loosing their money against loosing their mind. Sometimes, it's worth placing the bet just to keep your sanity, win or loose. Don't take this as advise by any means but, risk creates wealth not safe harbor.

So, is Griffith still the Dev or is this a rudderless ship?
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | FUNDING THE FUTURE WITH THE FUTURE OF CURRENCY on: July 08, 2017, 06:22:46 PM
Our precious little chain is still experiencing the same problem - suprnova pools. "hopper" numbers show similar numbers equivalent to 10 pc. Antminer L3+ operated by one user, the account name is "anonymous" now, so only admins can extract details. The pool owner is active on the board but not reacting to any approach of contact.

Personally I can't see any reason for this behaviour, that's why it's time to ask the community. How could we possibly get over this?

I'm open for any suggestions from 95% attack to an UASF, whatever is legal, let's brainstorm.

let keep moving forward ...

with bittrex / poloniex - that is out of our hands ... but the development and progression IS in our hands ...

ive always said it - and will continue to ... keep moving forward ...

this forward progression WILL commit users worldwide to open their wallets again - and miners to mine again ... whatever hashrate this one person / entity ( could be nicehash for all we know ) has - wil not have a chance against ALL the users / miners in the world hopping on the emc2 train ...

forward progression is the only way ... and im NOT saying turn a blind eye to this - as it is a real threat ... BUT - we can do NOTHING about it unless we spend millions of dollars on a farm just for this ... who has that cash on them now? ...

concern is one thing - worry is another ...

i am concerned - but worry is not for me - with the amount of workload that i personally have - let alone CWI as a company ... you too michael ... stop worrying too much about this ... your ideas that have been brought to the table are SO well received - that things are moving in a positive direction again ... we all as a team can not mitigate this issue from happening - but as a community - well thats a force to be reckoned with ...

it WILL happen ... just keep progression with our developments moving forward ... and this will be a thing of the past mate ...

what needs to be implemented - must be implemented - simple ...

#crysx

To be successful, at some point, you have to ignore all the noise and BS and focus on the goal only. Sounds like you understand that well, rock on!
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: July 08, 2017, 06:11:34 PM
Nxt/Ardor developer Riker has stated that most probably the Ardor launch will be in September.

and the IGNIS ICO? At the same time?

from marenkar (the NXT marketing guy) on Ardor's reddit:

"Also, the snapshot date is not even announced yet and Jelurida will be announcing that soon"

this make me think the date is set and they wait to announce it

Quote
iginis ICO? i thought that just need to hold next to receive ignis tokens.

the total IGNIS available will be 1 billion
500 millions will be distributed to NXT holders
the other 500 millions will be sold as an ICO

good luck making any profits with NXT/ARDR/IGNIS with their billion coin supply...

Coin supply is NOT as important to market cap and overall price as you think it it is. As the market grows, supply becomes less and less of an issue. I've already made quite a bit of profit on this project/coin so there goes your argument. Please do some research before posting blanket statements such as this without a deep understanding of what you are talking about.
