10 000 000 000 total suply This fine, like etherium doge :-D

Block reward is 30?  its will be always 30? for 1 000 years?
100 000 blocks now - 3 000 000 coins mined for now or firts blocks was premined?

the scamming dev own 500 million
Block reward is 30 per block. Block time is 30 second
Minable daxx per day 86400
Minable daxx per year 31536000
It will take miners 15.85 years to mine 500 million. The dev will reduce reward before. No improvements. They do not respond to questions 100% SCAM
It is a total scam as the devs are just selling their premine.

And to think I was actually thinking about buying some this crap. Thanks for the warning! I'm outa here...

Just found this thread. So, you are serious about resurrecting USDe huh? Great! Just fired up the old wallet and it's syncing now. Have you decided what to do with any unclaimed/outstanding coins?

I believe people are also selling their altcoin but they're not going through Alt -> BTC -> USD channel...rather they are selling their Alt and buying Tether (Alt -> USDT) since it represents the USD in crypto currency.

Actually, I believe the channel ends at BTC and that's why I'm raising concerns.

But, trust me, I truly hope what you say is true because that would make the current situation very bullish for KMD when PAX comes into the picture!   Cool

Pretty sure when this all shakes out and BTC is settled, there will be a buying frenzy in ALTS and Bitcoin. Just waiting it out for now...
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: July 16, 2017, 12:41:11 PM
Has anyone tried to make sense of the positive correlation with BTC/USD?   WTF happened to Altcoinland lately?!   Shocked

...I'll throw in the towel before I try to make sense of this nonsense...
Why are you so surprised? People are scared that Segwit2x doesn't lock in (only intention is signalled now, not commitment) and a chain split will occur on August 1st. Then Segwit2x was delayed so that dropped BTC even lower. The uncertainty causes people to hedge against btc. When people hedge against btc, historically there has always been a sell off on the altcoin market.

Nothing new here. If a release candidate of Segwit2x is produced this weekend, we should see a nice rebound, and if it locks in we should see a major rebound. If it doesn't, i'm sure btc will go lower.
Well, if they are truly scared as you say, why are they buying BTC?!  Are you saying that the only reason they're doing this is to take advantage of having BTC on both chains in case of a split?  If so, I get it...   although I would insist that a positive correlation with BTC/USD is bad news for Alts - let's hope it doesn't hold.

Who is buying BTC? price has decreased by 30% over the last week, i'd say that's a pretty clear sign of doubt and selling. Of course there is a balance between speculators who expect Segwit2x to go well - who hold - and people who expect a chain split - sellers.

I agree it certainly looks like there's a positive correlation between BTC/USD, but if i were to venture a guess it's pure coincidence. I don't see any reason why the two should be (strongly) positively correlated (if anything, we'd expect a negative correlation). Especially because there is a very logical reason for the BTC price to drop independently (see above).

EDIT: actually now that i look at it, USD index has been retracing since January, while BTC had a 200% boom. Doesn't look like there's any correlation at all Wink

Not sure why/how you've lost me even though we agree it seems...  lol   Grin

If I sell my Alts through an Alt/BTC order book, I am buying BTC.

If I sell my BTC through a BTC/USD order book, I am buying USD.

The positive correlation comment refers to Alt/BTC pairs compared to the BTC/USD pair (recently).  Think pairs, not currencies.  Not even the Alt/USD pairs.

I must have caused the confusion because I used the term Altcoinland instead of actually referring to Alts/BTC.

Lastly, just in case it's still not clear, I wouldn't mind it being a pure coincidence at all!   Smiley

I believe people are also selling their altcoin but they're not going through Alt -> BTC -> USD channel...rather they are selling their Alt and buying Tether (Alt -> USDT) since it represents the USD in crypto currency.

Interesting theory but, if you look at Tether's last month, the volume is more or less consistent with historical data although there is a slight uptick the last several days but there has been higher volume in the past. Still interesting though...

Is Satoshi selling his/their bitcoins?!

No, Satoshi isn't selling Bitcoins. What is happening , put very simply, is this:

The market conditions right now are being caused by uncertainty over the coming deadline for Bitcoin to either accept an upgrade or not which could cause two competing versions of Bitcoin itself. Since ALTS are in the Bitcoin market, anything that happens to Bitcoin affects ALTS. We will know more after August 1st but until then, just sit tight, it will work itself out as designed. If you are not comfortable with the current situation, don't make any rash moves, wait it out. Don't make any major buys or sells now without knowing exactly what you are doing!

"Keep calm and carry on"

This is NOT investment advise, just common sense...

1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on BiTTREX 🔹 on: July 16, 2017, 12:24:41 PM

In case something really bad happen to crypto market in the coming months and Bitcoin drops to 200 - 300 dollars or lower.

Do not worry, that will not happen. The low trade at the moment is only due to the fact that it is hot and the people are in the summer holidays. Some have used some money for the holidays.

From the end of July, beginning of August, the trade will again increase.

No, the "low trade" right now is from uncertainty over the coming deadline for Bitcoin to either accept an upgrade or not which could cause two competing versions of Bitcoin itself. Since ALTS are in the Bitcoin market, anything that happens to Bitcoin affects ALTS. We will know more after August 1st but until then, just sit tight, it will work itself out as designed. This will all work out in the long run and ARK and other quality projects will go forward. Don't make any rash moves now without knowing exactly what you are doing!

What are the main advantages over Monero and other privacy centric coins ? I mean except the consensus system which is POS and not POW like Monero is. I find the distribution of Cloak more unfair than Monero's . When the coin was launched any big miner could have pointed his rigs to it and made a shitload of CLOAK during the POW period.

And, how does this differ from Monero exactly?

1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: July 15, 2017, 07:16:13 PM
Well it sucks that ARDR prices tanked but hey at least this could be a good buying opportunity.
What do you think now you can buy or better wait for when it falls stronger?

I don't want to give out investment advice, but what I personally do when trading is double down when price drops. This is a potentially very risky strategy if you're trading on margin, but I bet most of us are not using borrowed funds (ie leverage) to buy ARDR (cause I don't think that's possible yet). Price movement has already pretty much destroyed all the previous gains and we're back to a price level that has been long standing ~0.05 to 0.08. I'm not sure it can or will go much lower than this unless the other major cryptos drag it down with them.

Agree. Most likely seeing the low now although that could change depending on what Bitcoin does after 8/1. If that doesn't go well, it could reverberate through the entire ALT market. Even so, things will pick up in the long run, I'm sure of that at least.

How is the market campaign going?

great. our banner ad campaign with CoinMarketCap.com starts at 9am EST 7/14 and will run until 7/18

here's their wallet id they sent with the funds:  (0.519398 BTC)

Mmmmmm....nice ad campaing..... 2 days - no moves..... ad campaing of my dreams !!!! i think VERGE have no chance to jump up. rly.

Hmmmmm... Sage words from a newbie. Best you watch and learn before offering an opinion. In the current market, all bets are off. If it takes longer then, so be it, it takes longer. The entire market is down and no marketing will change that until Bitcoin figures out what it wants to be when it grows up then, come back and offer an opinion.

Here's a tip. Stay the fuck away from cryptos that are in development stages if you can't handle not getting daily updates..

I can't  believe the infantile comments I had to read through over ECC not meeting their expectations..

Working Block explorer                      :  Not yet
Working Exchange                             : Not yet
New Wallet supposed to fix problems  :  No release date

The above are not expectations, they are requirements to claim you have a working coin.

Dev is really dropping the ball on being professional here.
That is not an expectation that is a fact.

This coin is basically dead until the dev fixes these issues.
Will note , the dev is making commits almost constantly to the github, but at the moment the coin is unusable and has been so for weeks.
So for the moment ECC is a dead coin, and that can not be denied.

╥Aztek

Actually, we have working explorers https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ecc/, currently syncing,  release dates just cause frustration if missed, and the Dev is working full time as well as working on ECC in hours between sleeping and earning a living. Before you tell us what you "expect", why not tell us what you have done to help this project. Or, if you have any skills, perhaps offer to assist.

How about you ass kissing, forum dwellers mind your own business? They bought the coin, they have every right to complain about these issues. Why do you care? It bothers you that someone is not satisfied with something they purchased? Stop getting emotionally attached to coins, you look pathetic. You're not even affiliated with the coin at all. Just because you're fine with the current situation doesn't mean we all have to feel the same!

Hummm.. It's not entirely clear from your post who you are attacking, so:

If it's me, than this applies:

If your talking to me you little dipshit, you have no idea how things really work here. I don't kiss anyone's ass but I have been known to beat a few belonging to little punks such as you. I hold millions of ECC and I have spent real money to help this project so, I suggest you crawl back under the bridge with the rest of the trolls and continue to pull you own pud until someone puts you out of your misery.

If it's the other guy than, this applies:

People need to be patient in situations like this. If you hold ECC, I can sympathize with you and, if you don't, perhaps you could help out in some way. Choice is yours. Either way, the problems will get fixed, I'm sure of that.

Have a nice day!

...I'll throw in the towel before I try to make sense of this nonsense...

what do you mean by positive correlation? It seems like USD appreciated over the past 2 weeks so I say negative correlation.

To me it, this is partly seasonal...if you look at the BTCD last year on Jul 1st the price was at $2.39 but dropped to $1.16 in Aug 3th.

Similarly for BTC on June 17th the price was at $740 and it dropped to $530 on Aug 2nd.

nothing can be for sure but seasons could play some roles.

Impending Hard/Soft/WeDONTKNOWfork  of BTC might have something to do with Crypto at this point.......

LOL... Just a slight change huh...  Really wish Bitcoin would decide what it wants to be when it grows up! Cheesy

No way, look how resilient CHC is compared to the crypto market as a whole.  Note that bitcoin is down sharply at 2180 on Bitstamp at the moment.  Even in the face of this kind of negativity, CHC is holding at about 0.02 BTC (about $4.36 USD).  That isn't dumping, that's advanced HODL technology at work.

Your decimal point is in the wrong place.  .02 BTC is $43.80 USD  You meant to say .002 BTC or $4.38 USD  Grin

Revolut Receives $66 Million in Funding to Fuel Expansion

https://dcebrief.com/revolut-receives-66-million-in-funding-to-fuel-expansion/

I just had a look at the Revolut website, and watched their promo video. On the one hand it seems too good to be true. Then on the other hand, I could never understand how banks justify a huge transaction fee when I know that all they are really doing is sending the tiniest bit of information to another institution.

My partner and I live the life of digital nomads. I get paid for work I do online and when a client wants to send me money, they usually have to wire transfer it using Western Union. This process costs us about US$40 in total. That is a lot of money for receiving instructions from one bank and sending them to another.

And when we are travelling, exchange rates are never what I find on the Internet. Some places offer no-commission exchange, but when you do the math on their rates, you're often better off paying the commission at the exchange with the better rate. The other alternative is to use the ATM and get hit with overseas machine charges and another poor exchange rate. I've even had two different multi-currency credit cards. Both cost more in fees and bad exchange rates than using the institutions' normal cards.

So half of me is wondering how they can make any money. And half of me is wondering how banks justify their fees. And all of me is looking forward to them incorporating DNotes into their system. The easier you make it for them to do that, and whatever you can do to reduce their exposure to risk, the sooner it will happen.

https://revolut.com/

I just read that as well but you beat me to the post!  Grin

I see this as the next (first?) step in the "sea change" of finance and banking. For years, banks have had a monopoly on the personal financial sector (not to mention business) that has slowly bled consumers dry. From deposit interest rates to loan points, banks have been fully in control of each and every one of us with the possible exception of the very rich and even they have to deal with them at one time or another and, at less than favorable terms, even for them. For the most part, the bank always wins.

This kind of power and control breeds contempt and is one of the prime drivers of crypto today. Banks have enjoyed a monopoly in the field of personal finance, not to mention business, and that only creates stagnation and fuels greed. As with most innovations, crypto has been working to re-invent itself within the field of finance and become a major player on the world stage. I submit that the appearance of fully digital/crypto online banks are the harbinger of a new world. Moving all the old standards of banking including safe haven, loans, credit cards, mortgages and business finance online, without fiat. A new world needs to start with eliminating the old one and that is happening now.

Let's face it, the crypto ecosystem does not need "brick and mortar" branch offices and 20 employees in hundreds of cities to satisfy customers needs. The overhead this will eliminate is staggering in, and of, itself. Twenty four by seven access is the holy grail of banking right now but, until now, only ATM machines and bank web sites could come close and the reality of it is that it's an illusion, and an expensive one at that for the consumer.

So, think about this for a minute: Today's crypto exchanges will be tomorrow's pioneering online, full service, no fiat banks. Is there a better fit or road to the evolution of these entities? Current thinking sees services such as Bittrex, Poloniex, Kraken and the others as mimicking the stock markets but, I see then evolving into full service online banks with crypto eventually totally replacing fiat at some future point. As far as ATM's go, they will eventually be a thing of the past like color TV picture tubes, they will yield to new technology. If everyone has access to and, could spend their funds anywhere using their cell phone or some other sort of portable electronic device, who would have the need for an ATM? No cash, no ATM. Even Bitcoin ATMs days are numbered unless they morph into a form of "crypto coin exchanger", like a hardware ShapeShift perhaps. But even here, if you can do it on a cell phone, why the need for a kiosk? I suppose in areas and countries where cellular enjoys less than 98% penetration, it would be needed, for now.

Darwin's contribution basically states "adapt or die" which fully encompasses the state of the financial industry we are dealing with today. It is a given that people will adapt by using the easier of two different choices all else being equal. Why would you drive to the bank or ATM to get "cash" when you can click an icon and your purchase is payed for? Kind of a no brainer really, cash and the institutions that support it and control us through it are as dead as the dinosaurs, they just haven't looked up at the sky, yet...

This is Nonsense.

The domain had expired and these clowns have trouble even keeping their crappy site online.

Something is not right here. They don't even have one paragraph explaining ECC e currency coin.

 Huh

You have NO idea what you are talking about do you? The project was left to die by the original developers. This coin has been around much longer than you and will be here after your gone. The current dev is working to salvage ECC and bring it back to life. I suggest you learn before you post or, just shut your yap. When you have been here as long as Griffith, perhaps you can speak again.

Don't be rude to the newbie trolls  Cheesy

There are lots of projects which are nothing but fluff, so many people are nervous. Best not to promote ECC until the wallet etc.. is more stable and well tested. In the meantime, get the sellers out to produce supply at a nice low price.

Never really thought about it that way before but, your right, even trolls have to be newbies at some point.  Grin
