Has anybody looked into Particl?  (SDC rebranding)

https://particl.io/

Just wondering how this compares to SYS ... seems kind of like it's going for the same thing, a decentralized Ebay/Amazon...

Sorry if this has been covered before.

This is my first post here on bitcointalk. So hello everyone!

Lots of talk going around that Particl is a dump coin.  They appear to be trying to get in on the Blockchain goldrush, problem is that they are well behind Syscoin.  Right now personally I would stick with Syscoin.

Hello and welcome! You picked a good group to start with, lots of helpful and knowledgeable people here. Enjoy!

agama is working now on my 32 bit netbook. Smiley
the frozen start animation has been fixed and the javascript error has been fixed, too.
how can i backup my wallet? Is there any wallet.dat?
how can i be sure that i canīt loose my kmd?
is there any tutorial?

i still had one issue. my virus scanner detected something after the installation:

PDM:Worm.Win32.Generic
path: e:\agamaapp-0.1.6.2e-beta-windows-x64-installer.exe
virus scanner: Kaspersky Internet Security 17.0.0.611(d)

I tried to install agama 6 on my main pc i7 5960x @ 5 Ghz, 2xsamsung 950 ssd in raid 0, 25x10tb ironwolf nas hdd and wasnt successful in getting it to work. I will replace my version of agama with a newer one, does anyone know where I can download agama 15 or latter. Im hugely obsessed with agama products, I have thematic posters all over the walls in my living room.

edit: seems like my scanner deleted some .js files after a virus rollback
now i get the same javascript error as many others before and agama doesnt start anymore.

i downloaded agama on the website the version is newer than a few weeks. its better now but it still have some problems with the virus scanner.
seems like some virus scanner detects some javascript files as a threat and deletes parts of the code.

Add Agama to your virus scanner's exclusion list!

Musings on ICO/ITO:

There is a crap load of ICOs coming in June, like an absolute crap load (and most are just a load of crap).
Saying that, every other silly idea is pulling in like $17 million so ... perhaps we should jump on the bandwagon. We actually have good ideas.

Got to add this here, out of respect for Dan and Rob and everyone connected to Radix.Global (aka Emunie). ICO in June and is actually a flipping amazing idea, four years in the works, self-funded to the tune of couple million GBP - that's dedication.

I think an ICO is great idea if... If there are real changes/projects/new ideas to fund. Forgive me if I haven't been keeping up, not a lot of time these days but, I have been holding EMC2 since '14 and have always believed in the project. So, what could you do with ICO funds right now? (other than the obvious marketing campaign)

Cloak doesn't need another Bob, we just need development and nice steady rise.
Overnight success is very hard to achieve but who knows we can hit mainstream very easy. PR team already assured us they are working hard and surprised us with few good videos @ Youtube. Price is much better than it was recently, you must admit it!

JosNekoKopa et al

Spending some time working to implement Cloak support in Open Bazaar (for starters) would probably work out a lot better in the long run. There's often little point in reinventing wheels and having Cloak support elsewhere should still work out really well. This is just one of the things we can focus on (in addition to the core wallet etc.) if we have more available developers on the Cloak project.

Cloak Strong!

Joe

Yes, agreed, we don't need to do something that has been done many times, just use services already out there. The crypto community (users) are not that big of a group yet to support numerous market projects. Use what already works to enhance CLOAK's capabilities, spend development time on the core focus, not the peripherals.

Overnight success is also very hard to maintain, we don't need that, we need lasting success...

Haven't seen you in a while, just wanted to thank you for all you have done for CLOAK. Without your involvement, we would all have lost our investments. Now that we have a solid development team, there is truly a bright future for this project. Thanks for all the hard work you and the new team are doing, it really is appreciated!

Did Jl777 even showed up or he went there wearing a mask?

And the point you are trying to make is what?

The only important fact is that the project was represented at the show.

And represented quite well it would appear! This the kind of thing that builds networks, contacts and growth. Nice...

Why do you guys removed signature codes? Should leave it there in case some supporters decided to use it. Signature would help a lot with spreading awareness of ARK.

here is my signature code if you want...

Could you have more information about ARK in there? If I'm interested and wanting to invest in ARK I wouldn't want to spend a second at ark.io, I rather preferred a bitcointalk OP, this is just my taste. It would be helpful if you could have blockexplorer, delegate info, or perhaps Bittrex exchange page in there instead of all pointing to ark.io
Thanks

you know you can edit this right? nothing is set in stone, i just edited it really quick to show my new sig

It's great to see this thread returning to life. Smiley Kiss

Devcoin has a long history w/ obvious potential benefit for the entire crypto community. I wonder if getting it listed on Bittrex would be a good idea? I'd be glad to help share in the cost of a Spotlight listing.

Have you sources whales to assist with the open sourcing of the client?  If you open source and no one knows, why even bother?

I believe their main objective is to be listed on Poloniex. Someone here, long ago, had a contact there and was told that CLOAK would not be listed as long as the code was closed source.

@RJF wasnt hating on you just trying to stay positive thats awesome you been here since the beginning I left the scene for a while just got back into it more as a investor this time around last time i was after the quick buck I like where cloak is headed things are def looking up.

Yea, it looked pretty bleak for a while there but when cashm3n took over things started to turn around. I'm perfectly happy with the current developers and I think they are moving in a good direction. Just like to be reassured of that from time to time!  Grin

Hello guys (and gals)

The open sourcing of the project has always been a huge milestone for us. There are lots of plans that follow that, which we will explain in detail very soon. Myself and the other team members are working very hard on putting all our plans together for release and ensuring we have the required resources both in terms of manpower and funding; please bear with us just a little longer. I'm also in the process of working through crypto security checks with a cryptography professor, prior to the open source release. I can assure you that we are not sitting on our hands Smiley

Our goal was always to first create the transaction system promised by the previous team. We feel we're pretty much there now. We are certainly not finished though! After open source, we will follow through on our plans to improve Enigma by extending it at the blockchain level. These plans include a PoS system that's more tailored to Enigma and the needs of the project going forward. In addition to the PoS changes, the Enigma transaction system is being extended to incorporate ring-signatures within the Enigma transactions themselves. This will of course be on top of the existing decentralized and onion-routed mixing system we already have. We think these changes will put is in a great position moving forward. Community governance will also play a critical role in the project as we move forward. These changes will also be part of the forthcoming PoS enhancements. On top of this, there's news on the mobile and electrum server front to follow. There will be a new Enigma node type which acts as an electrum server which you can choose to run. These nodes will act as gateways into the network for users running a mobile or lite/thin wallet and node operators will receive a reward for running this service. We'll cover all this in detail in the official updates which are just around the corner.

I'm spending pretty much all my time on the project of late, which will help greatly with future progress. Other members of the team are also tying up some loose ends so they can dedicate a lot more time to the project moving forward. In addition to this, we will be further expanding the team (primarily in terms of development at present).

Hugs,

Joe

Joe,

Excellent, thanks for posting. If this was in response to my post, please understand I (we) have every confidence in your team but, silence breads suspicion. For a while there, the team was posting a regular update, sometimes nothing more than "Hi, were still here!" kinda stuff and that was great. Thing is, when stuff like that stops, you worry, it's human nature. Perhaps just every few days a canned post with any new developments and the current CMC price or volume just to make it interesting.

I do have one other suggestion, when you publish the source code, consider obfuscating it. It's still readable but much harder to clone and adapt to new uses if you rename the variables. There are programs out there to do it for you if you wish. If your not familiar, talk to David over at BitBay, he can point you to some good apps to accomplish this. You guys are doing a bang up job! Keep up the good work...

Just my 2 cents!

No worries R-J-F. I'd be exactly the same in your position. There's always chat.cloakcoin.com. I'm not sure if we can sticky posts there, so that may not be the best solution. You're the second person who's suggested I speak to David at BitBay, I'll reach out and say 'hi' Smiley

Excellent, thanks! Keep up the great work!

Got a question. Once you have put your Existing KMD address to send to Bittrex and press on PAYOUT, SKIP and CONFIRM, is there any way to know for sure that everything is done? such as an email to confirm withdrawal, or a message in control panel saying "you have requested withdrawal", or "withdrawal pending" etc?

The withdrawal history & status is visible on the home page. Go to 'HOME' tab and you should see all info.

Will we get a tx id on the ico page to track confirmations of our payout that gets processed on the 7th (today here) ?

You can check the status from a block explorer.

kmd.explorer.supernet.org

Once coins arrive the payout was done. jl777 will also post the info in this thread.

Hello,
It's Friday already, nothing on my bittrex wallet yet?

Might be Friday where you are mate but, not everywhere in the world...  Grin

no sad faces allowed in cloakcoin price went down not a big deal, what updates you need they said it last week next major wallet update version 2.1.0.0 will coincide with cloakcoin open source which will be ready within the next 3 months.  not to mention the plan to go open source!, they got a few more things they got to take care of before they make the move all you need is patience. Whats important is things are headed in the right direction!

I've been here since the beginning and support the current developers and,  I fully understand all that you said, and, it's great but, they still need to post now and then to show things ARE on the right track, that's all. I have full confidence in them, just want a "Hello" now and then like they were doing for a while, it instills confidence.
