1442  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I know the reason for a fall from $650 to $600 on: August 02, 2016, 03:51:55 PM
There was no good reason for the price to be that high in the first place, so now it is going to some more realistic values.

There is always a reason whenever the price changes. For example, if someone sell their 50 BTC, the selling price will be now high and the buying price will be now lowered.  That causes the price varies everytime.

I didn't said there was no reason, I said there was no good one as in there is no support for this kind of valuation, just speculators buying and selling, no real usage.

Here, check this one:

Does your hosting provider allow that kind of usage?

1445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Way To Encourage Offline Store To Accept BTC on: August 02, 2016, 09:51:03 AM
And then clients need to wait 6 hours for transaction to confirm because network can't handle all transactions.

Bitcoin is not to be used in that way.

Just ask the stores to accept zero confirmation and use 3rd party services such as BitPay if necessary.
Or wait till bitcoin network ready to handle more transaction before we encourage more shops to accept bitcoin.

I think if stores want to do business they should accept zero confirmation. I was always wondering how much do they really risk to lose when accepting zero confirmation? I may be wrong but I think - nothing really. All transactions made by regular people buying goods get confirmed sooner or later, right?

That's just giving free stuff away.

No one should accept 0 confirmation payments, well, you can but you'll end up scammed.
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: Infinite Bitcoin divisibility vs unlimited Fiat supply on: August 02, 2016, 09:26:43 AM
Well, bitcoin is not the solution to end poverty, it never was, I think it is pretty obvious who has benefited and is going to continue to benefit from this system, high educated first world males, the richer the better.

1448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prices are falling on: August 02, 2016, 08:02:48 AM
Yap, it's going down, after the pump there's always a dump.

There was no good reason for the price to be so high, it will probably stabilize in the 500s.

It will probably fall with lake of scalability no new users can enter and current users get frustrated with network congestion.

Also no major business can build or rely on the network so no new big players.
1452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: you guys need to do something. anything. on: July 27, 2016, 03:29:46 PM
I'm actually trying to use bitcoin now and I've been waiting an hour for zero confirmations.

Whatever solution you think is more viable than raising the block limit, I suggest you implement immediately because bitcoin is becoming unusable.

Bitcoin is fine and working as intended, if you want a reliable network with fast confirmations and bigger block size check out litecoin.

Pokemon Go sucks and is a terrible game!!! Please stop advertising and playing it!

Why does it sucks ? What I can say you is that it is a mondial success.

So this is what happened this morning. Is Islam still a religion of peace for you all lobotomised leftists ? Banning Islam is the solution for the security of our people !

It's really very shocking what happened today but I don't think that you can blame whole Islam community for something what only several people did.
What you suggest here?
To put all Muslims in the Europe to prison?
Do you think such radical solutions will change or solve anything?
We need to fight with terrorism and ISIS, not Islam.
Islam and ISIS are not tge same.
In fact, ISIS started war also against Islam, as you can see from many terrorist attacks also in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq etc.
We should fight with Muslims against ISIS.

Problem is that we're no more facing organised commandos sent by the Islamic State but lone wolves. What has to be done is to close all coranic churchs and radical and illegal prayer places. Those, to be closed, need ultra-violent positions.

Is that your final solution?

Was he a pedophile?

Was it retribution or revenge?
1455  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Walking dead series on: July 26, 2016, 02:10:53 PM
I'm betting on Glen and Abraham to be killed in that scene, Glen killed by Negan with Lucille, Abraham might also die like this or he his killed by Negan's men when he attacks Negan.

Coindesk comments are moderated, you need for moderator to check comments and approve, that may take some time.
So basically that's like bitcointalk without the rules ? If mods agree with the post ,they can keep it otherwise,in case op the OP,they would delete the post since its offending their terms and regulations laid by the person who paid them to promote ETH on their website ? Someone earlier told me the same thing, seems legit. There is no harm in the post anyway, the only reason a mod can remove that post is when he doesn't agree with it or maybe personal grudges with the poster.

sure, if you own a website you can do whatever you want, it's yours, you make the rules...
but if it was a news website they should atleast keep the reliability and writing down the fact, people's criticize doesn't matter because people have freedom of speech, but seems they just preventing any kind of threat that could potentially make them go to bad situation

Freedom of speech is the right to speak your opinion without persecution or censorship from the government, it is not the right to write whatever you want in other people's property.
