1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: August 29, 2023, 01:15:30 PM

..... Woman also control the deposit limit easily to the gambling site as compared to men.So when the women take part in the gambling ,it will be the biggest revolution to gambling.
Smiley
Ooo!  Yeah!
I also think that women have much better control over the amount of money they can spend on gambling or on various lotteries and similar mass entertainment.
Apparently this is due to the fact that in most countries of the world (as I understand it, this is exacly the way this issue is in the whole world) women still control family budgets.  Of course, no normal man will get dirty and really think how much money to spend on his food and food for the whole family, and even more so on beautiful clothes for his wife, and even more so for children.
And since wlmen always know how much money and where to spend it, for obvious reasons, they also treat gambling bets as completely unnecessary and stupid expenses.  This, in my opinion, does not give women the opportunity to gamble normally in the sense that normal male players play.
There are probably very gamblers among women, but this is most likely an exception to the rule and such women are very rare in life.

We have almost 8 Billion people in the world, and about half of them are women. There are many different persons among them. I think any generalization would be wrong. The women from your post are more like those from the 19th century, but even then there were men who cared about kids and family budgets more than women, and there were women who gambled too.

Today in the Western world women gamblers are not exception to the rule, there are so many of them you can't imagine. You can call it "the world of Satan" or whatever, but that's how it is in the Western world today and how it will be in the whole world soon.

1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: August 29, 2023, 12:36:26 PM
Yes, this is exactly what's going on if we talk about established and honest gambling sites: some people lose much more than they expect, much more than the highest house edge imaginable,  to slots, or whatever they play there, because of bad luck. And then some of them think that the site is scamming them and streamers that promote that site are scammers.

sometimes this looks strange, viewers imitate what streamers do, which is clear that it's gambling, but in other days, they try it because they are seeing the wins amount from streamer. They don't think about the risks before they start, then accuse as scam in comments. I've also watched live gambling streaming, when the streamer won. Even though it's not their money though, I feel normal. Maybe when I watched it, the streamer was lucky. Of course, I didn't follow the streamer's directions to play at the place he was promoting, because for me, the place where I played was the most appropriate choice, because I would definitely be paid if I won. Watching them, just to know the game.

That's right, he was lucky. And it can happen to anyone  of us, so, I see no lie or attempt to scam there.

Copying streamers moves is pointless, you are doing the right thing with not following them. As for the particular site they playing on, honestly, I don't think it can be a scam site. Gambling sites pay a lot of money to those streamers, and scam sites are not capable of that.

Of course, not everyone, even a very gambler, becomes addicted to these games.
I think that this can only happen to people who have a certain psychotype of personality.  First of all, such people should have a strong emotional perception of failure, which literally leads a person to restore, as he sees it, the lost justice.  In gambling, this is naturally a series of losses.  This feeling constantly pushes such a person to commit emotional and ill-considered, and often just stupid things.

People should unbderstand that losing without hard feelings is also a skill. Those poor souls that were taught in their childhood "Don't accept failures" and stuff like that, they are living in hell when they are adults because of that upbringing.

And the second aspect for a human gambler to become addicted to gambling is the fact that he himself is a weak-willed person and is not able to really overcome his emotions.  Indeed, probably among all gamblers there can be about 5% of such people.
And it is from them that really mentally ill people can appear over time, those who really need to be treated for such addiction.

Yes, fortunately most gamblers gamble responsibly. But we should not neglect the minority who suffer. We should try to help them. And this thread is one of our attempts in that.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: August 29, 2023, 08:32:33 AM
If you beg to differ, then I will say that you are wrong, first for generalizing gamblers as potential addict, I gamble too and I lost some money today, I have stream Netflix and I have forgotten I lost money today and for today lost, that's all till next week, and I will only play if there is a good match for me to pick, I play and don't expect anything even the ones I do have high hope of making good result; if it fail, I move on.
I would agree with the member you quoted (I didn't feel like including all that text in my reply) if he'd written "problem gambler" instead of making a statement about gamblers in general.  It's the same thing as a problem drinker possibly being a true alcoholic--it all depends on how prone a person is to addictive behaviors and how far he/she continues the problematic behavior.

Not all gamblers are addicts or even have a problem with gambling.  But man, I've met alcoholics and serious gambling addicts and they are very similar in how they think when they're in their active addiction--and the devastation a gambling problem can wreak is no joke.  People can and do lose everything.

It was a reply to my post and I too found it unfair treating all gamblers as problem gamblers. Problem gamblers constitute only a small percentage, about the same as alcoholics among those who drink alcoholic beverages. So, maybe it's not about the activity that brings you pleasure, gambling and drinking alcohol in our case, but more about self control.

We should always remember that we are humans, not some laboratory mice seeking pleasure all the time.

On average, most users who get 10,000 points are mostly newbie users with one post, after that they are never active and leave this forum, whether this is my bad thought or not, my question is where did they get that information to share their winnings on that thread or someone created a new account to claim Rewards but he is the same active person in this forum.
~

Telling you from own experience since I rolled 9998 on FREE BTC recently. What happened was I was credited with the won money, $20 in BTC, right away, but it wasn't the end of story. When I opened my mailbox a bit later that day, I found a mail from noreply@freebitco.in there.  Apart from congratulations on winning the 2nd highest prize of $20, there was this text:

I think everyone winning the 2nd highest or the highest prize is automatically getting this email, and if they want the additional $5 they register on bitcointalk to make this post.

Hi Guys! I just want to remind you that the 'Bitcasino Bitcoin Prediction' contest has one day left, there is still a chance for you to make your predictions.

I see the bitcoin chart bouncing upwards, is this a sign that bitcoin will return to the $29K - $30K range at the end of August? Very interesting!

I was pretty close this time with this prediction of mine:

For a moment I thought I could end up among the winners. But after scrolling through the thread I found out that there were more accurate ones, so, now I think my chances are slim. Alright, I was close and makes me happy somehow. Smiley

Congrats to the winners of this amazing contest! Thank you, Bitcasino, for running it for us here!
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: August 28, 2023, 11:24:41 AM
~

good point
also take into account that some games you're playing against the house directly and others are more PvP with the house maintaining its edge
different styles

slots would be more only agaisnt the house, as an example

But using AI to predict outcomes of slot spins would be pointless, right? Nothing can help you to win in slots except luck.

With sports betting and poker it's a different thing. In the fields where skills are required AI, I'm sure, can help make your predictions more accurate. And the level of the accuracy will depend on the prompt. It will be the war of prompts in the end, I think.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: August 28, 2023, 10:47:14 AM
~
In the event that you've got a lot of time on your hands, it's possible you'll be able to get a jackpot in slot gambling, it's very possible that we can get it, I hear a lot that people have gotten it, ~

If you have a lot of spare time and can spend it on playing slots, it would take thousands of hours of constant playing, or, realistically speaking, years and years, and  the most probable result of that would be: your losing the house edge to the house. In other words: with $10 Million wagered you'll lose around $500k to the house. And even then you are not guaranteed to hit the Jackpot. So, it's definitely not about time. It's about luck and luck only. In slots time, method, persistence, they are irrelevant. Those who don't know it, can lose a lot on slots.

Perhaps in your little world, its all about hamburgers and movies. Money spent on leisure or food provides a tangible return. You get satisfaction, a break from reality, or just something to munch on. What do you get from gambling? A promise? A maybe? An ephemeral dream that more often than not turns into a nightmare?

Your analogy is flawed. Eating at McDonald's isnt about searching for some hidden treasure inside your burger, its about immediate gratification. Gambling, on the other hand, is often an endless pit, a vortex that sucks in those who come close.

Look, most gamblers might "know it", but knowledge without action is nothing. Being aware and constantly falling into the same trap, thats the real tragedy. So, before you simplify complex behaviors into fast-food comparisons, perhaps gain a more profound understanding of the human psyche.

Gambling also gives you an immediate gratification when you win $2 staking only 20 cents. You achieve nothing with that except the immediate gratification. And yet, it's worth it. Even if you lose those $2 afterwards, you had your fun, right? Also I don't see gambling as a "vortex that sucks in those who come close". I've been "close" for 10 years and wasn't sucked in no vortex. You?
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: August 27, 2023, 10:51:34 AM
Reason, why many people would like to try their risk with the lottery, is because of the large amount of prize pool, every time there's a person who win almost 320k$ just hitting the jackpot and if you got luck you can solo price or equally divided to all of the winners ~

Another reason is the relatively small price for the ticket. Firstly, you can potentially win a lot, and secondly you are not risking much for that opportunity. Both are valid reasons, in my opinion. That's why Lottery is so attractive to many people: they want to have a hope to win a lot without risking a lot.

I'm definitely going to be chasing big odds of at least 1k+ for the rest of this week, because I'm feeling super lucky and I don't intend to slow down the momentum after hitting the nail right on the head in final 4-3-Free of Women World Cup, could there have been a better time to come fully alive, that when all the leagues are fully back? I don't think so!
~

OMG, man, 1k? I'm ingrigued.

How it went, by the way? Well, from my experience you have to make around 500 bets to expect winning something with 1k odds, and that's if you are lucky. But if you are SUPER lucky, just several bets can be enough. So, how it went, @Harkorede?

Inspired by your post i just placed a bet with 1k+ odds:

It wasn't the first one of thins kind, but I'm surely far from 500 of such bets. So, what I'm hoping for is SUPER Luck, cuz nothing less than that will do. Smiley

1456  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 27, 2023, 08:01:26 AM
~ Why you people talking about gambling addiction on Roobets ANN thread? this isnt the right place in speaking or making up discussion about gambling betting behaviors or on how people should really be doing.

There are specific threads outside of this ANN thread on which i could say thats the best place for us to make out some discussion but for an ANN thread? It isnt really that relevant or really that right to have those kind of talks on this place. So better stop discussion which it isnt really related to Roobet.

Hope there's no one would really be able to continue on.  Cheesy

I was going to say about the same thing. And what's definitely related to Roobet is their current August Art Contest . It's only 4 days left and there's no artworks submitted yet. Yes, I know most works are always submitted in the last couple of days, and there won't be a shortage of submissions this time too, I'm sure, but maybe some people forgot about it, so, you still have time, guys. Just start right now.

It's important to note that there are additional prizes apart from the main ones:

So, if you, like me, feel that you have slim chances of winning one of the main prizes, you can compete for those Bonus Free Spins, and if your work is good and you are lucky, you can end up among the winners. Wink

Well, I don't see the point as well. It looks like some fictional scenario, but even if that is the case here that "someone's life" is in danger he could inform at least someone about what's happening. And "months" are passing... At this point, does anyone here really believe we will see Betnomi online again? In the near or distant future?

I do. As others have said in this thread above, since recently we are seeing this message again:

I made this screenshot today, and I think it means they are not abandoning their  site, they are trying to fix it, whatever happened with it. When they are back, they may explain to us what happened and they may not. What's important to me personally is that they come back with all our funds intact and let us play on their site, that used to be one of the best gambling platforms on the internet.
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: August 26, 2023, 11:31:35 AM
~

Trump supporters are not a majority in the United States, but they are part of an important percentage within the Republican voting base. Hence, the reason Republican politicians going for the presidency try not to directly attack Trump. Not even Mike Pence who is one of the victims of the attack on the capitol.

It seems that bettors for now believe that the people of USA will repeat what we saw in the mid term elections, when those candidates picked by Trump and endorsed by him ended up losing.

Still the odds are so separate from each other, something unexpected can turn the situation in Trump's favor.

I'd say, it's possible, but the probability of that is low, and it becomes lower day after day. Look, it's lower today than it was when I made my last post.

Is it a tendency? Will we see something as 1.50 for Biden and like 5.00 for Trump? Will Trump supporters still be saying Trump's winning even then?
1459  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: August 26, 2023, 11:01:02 AM
I think it's actually less effective if you want to make gambling a field for making money, especially for those who are new players it will definitely be difficult to find a win, but this job is quite simple to make money, some lucky people will be enough to make money here. If someone says you are just poor people gambling, I don't think some rich people also seek pleasure by playing casino.

Rich people surely take pleasure from playing in casino. Most of them don't gamble because they don't have enough money, but some of them it's never enough. And they play to win more, only many of them end up losing everything. But even if they lose "everything" they still have some money to keep living. Poor people, on the other hand, sometimes not only lose all their money but they borrow and lose that too. It's a terrible idea for poor people to try to win money through gambling.
1460  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 26, 2023, 10:02:53 AM
Those given choices are ideal for making money but in the list, it depends on the person's capability, for example, you are in the middle class you can make a real estate immediately or crypto and make business you have an option, but if you are one of the people lets say in the low and middle class, its ideal to make a business first because this is affordable, if you success with the business you can now make another mile stone to get rich which is invest with the real estate this could take a large expenses but in good return you can do this as your own house in the future or rent for a while, and lastly is the cryptocurrency we know how does the market price move its quite risky and not as always assured if you have an extra money its the last sort to deal with, Business, real estate can give a good cashflow than cryptocurrency.

It's never certain what is better. It's not like people above saying in their comments that if you are rich, you can invest in real estate and become richer. Due to various circumstances some very good looking real estate lose up 80% in price, and if you are not expert in the field, it's most likely you who will buy it.

I'd say, crypto is the best option, but, again, it's never certain. That's why I agree with DrBeer's idea about diversification. If you are not sure about any given option - diversify.
