1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 24, 2023, 08:14:15 AM
Now there is only playoff stage left before continuing with the main tournament. There are going to be 3 more teams coming through playoff stage. What are your favourite teams in this stage?

First of all I expect the finale draw of the playoffs like this:

Wales v Poland
Ukraine v Iceland
Luxembourg v Greece

My favourites are Wales, Ukraine and Greece. Wales and Poland are really close teams in statistics but I feel like Wales will find a way to win by a close gap. I think Ukraine are better than Iceland. Greece seem much better at defending compared to Luxembourg so they should be able to eliminate them in this case.

Greece has an easy matchup against Luxemburg and i think they need to win this easily against a really weak team. Ukraine has also once of those easier matchups because Iceland isnt playing really good currently and they can take a big advantage of this situation.
Luxembourg scored 17 points in their group with Portugal and I think Greece scored less points in their group, so I would write off Luxembourg right away because they can beat teams like Greece.
As for Ukraine, I agree that Iceland is a rather convenient opponent, but it can also surprise and the chances of Ukraine's exit are much higher.

Luxembourg has truly come a way up in football recently and these qualifiers showed just that, not many years ago they were a team that were happy when they were losing by a single goal to any team playing against and now to be fighting for a qualification spot through play offs is a great achievement for them.

I think that they will not be able to win a direct game against Greece but in football anything can happen as they say and I don't exclude big surprises from these play offs.
1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: November 24, 2023, 07:46:53 AM
As you've read the thread title, I'll continue the explanation here, as it cannot accommodate additional text. I've come across numerous topics and posts where gamblers express disbelief in the idea of consistently making profit through gambling. It makes me question whether these individuals are truly involved in gambling or if they're posting without the real experiences and knowledge. Personally, I firmly believe that there are people who have achieved real success in gambling. What perplexes me is why many discourage gambling as a means of making money. Instead of outright saying no, they could guide gamblers with the right strategies on how to stay disciplined, enhance skills, minimize the risk of bankruptcy, and increase the chances of winning.

If you're someone who doesn't believe anyone can be profitable in gambling, you might as well consider yourself not welcome in this thread. I'm looking for people who maintain optimism about their chances in gambling so they can share valuable insights.

Now, let's hear your opinion. In 3...2...1... go!

Optimism is the only thing that keeps me getting back in gambling after trying many times to stop once and for all yet I lose it very fast also because of losing sessions in a consecutive way, that is devastating and there is not much to be optimistic about and that is why most people will tell that you cannot make consistent money with gambling.

The statistics are in their favor and I also have talked several times about what you describe here but the problem is that the majority of people who gamble would not take them into much consideration at all and that is why we have a huge amount of losers and very few winners in gambling.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 24, 2023, 07:18:22 AM
Manchester City and Liverpool only have difference of one point and indeed this match is form of competition for the top of the standings which is currently still occupied by Manchester City and when Manchester City manages to win the match they will be even further ahead in terms points.
But looking at how the two teams have competed so far this season there is possibility of draw and if there is win for one of the teams then the win will only be by narrow score like difference of just one goal.
The match will take place tomorrow and until now I am still hesitant to choose who is the favorite because match with two strong teams like this is very difficult to predict with more certainty.
So the bookmakers have a favorite, it is Manchester City with odds of x1.75 to win. A Liverpool win is currently at x4.2, so the difference is very big, which is of course also due to the fact that Cioty is playing at home. If I look at the last matches of both teams, then I would almost say that Liverpool is better, although they recently lost 3:2 against Toulouse.
Liverpool is not in the favourable situation because they have poor records at Etihad Stadium and since 2015 Liverpool always be failed to beat Manchester City at Etihad Stadium so these records also placed Manchester City is the favourite and recently Liverpool have a problem from away matches because in the last 3 away matches Liverpool only able to collect 1 point from 2 loses and 1 draw so i am not surprising if the bookmakers placed Manchester City favourite in this match and Manchester City should be able to overcomes Liverpool if want to secured first position because if from this match they only gets draw result or even lose then Arsenal possibly will be taking over their position because Arsenal only fight against Brentford which is weak team and most likely they will win

I remember the game of Liverpool against Newcastle when they were playing away and they were even with 10 men yet they managed to equalize from 2-0 to 2-2 at that game where Newcastle was at top performance at that time.Based on this no matter that Liverpool is playing against Manchester City I would not write them off from a big, huge surprise if they are able to win at Etihad stadium, statistics are good to be shown but I don't think we should rely to much on them because the teams are not the same as they were years before.I think a draw would be the most likely result during this game.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirăo 2023 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: November 23, 2023, 03:00:12 PM
Tonight the odd of Botafogo is really big at over 3 against Fortalezza.I know that Botafogo has been doing really bad at the fact that they lost the leadership in the standings and it is a golden opportunity to win tonight as they would regain their well deserved first place on the standings, most likely the bookies want to scare us by putting such a high odd on them.Personally I bet on them and I don't care if I lose,I will only lose money while if Botafogo loses today or draws they most likely will lose the title or put it at a big risk at least so I am taking this risk.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this the End for BC.GAME? on: November 23, 2023, 02:11:26 PM
Readjusting does not mean to be the end of the game for any casino, yet however depending on their not 100% positive reviews and feedback, their spamming everywhere in Faucetpay with advertising, means that they have spent quite some money to get the user base they want.Cutting budget though when you have achieved your goal can be a boomerang for your business as most loyal customers can feel betrayed by this move and they may be migrate to other platforms who do not make such drastic changes, just my opinion here also,I am not part of them so don't know in depth.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 23, 2023, 01:53:45 PM
A few days ago, I posed a question in this forum, wondering if, as someone who engages in gambling, you've ever considered thought of giving back to the community if you ever had a successful gambling run. I carefully went through all the responses, maintaining keen interest and taking note of each perspective. Another aspect of the inquiry involves whether you would be willing to participate in crowdfunding for a fellow gambler who reaches out to the public through social media seeking financial support after they gambled with the funds meant for an important project like, investment, school fees, rent, marriage or any other thing. And what would you say to those who go ahead to donate to these gamblers out of a sense of empathy?

That should be a big no as an answer as you don't know what such gambler will do with the amount of money you crowdfund him,if he has been irresponsible before chances are very high he will continue to do so unless he learns a very hard lesson in the hardest of ways.

I would have no empathy in this case as this gambler has surpassed the limit of where my empathy goes,if someone would have lost a huge amount of money trying to achieve a specific thing without an irresponsible behavior I would gladly crowdfund him with what I can afford to crowdfund him, this person is honest at least and has not done things like the above.
1447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 23, 2023, 01:14:06 PM
Ferrari can make the race a bit more beautiful however I doubt they can impact the performance of winning against Redbull, sure they won just by 2 seconds against Ferrari the last race in Las Vegas but I guess it was because all the drivers were racing there for the first time and all the engineers of all the teams had not enough data as to be fighting as they will do in Abu Dhabi which they have tons of data available from these last years and will be put to good use.

The straight speed in here helps a lot but without DRS I don't think it will matter,Ferrari needs to stay in DRS zone in order to have a chance here.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: November 23, 2023, 12:31:30 PM
Real Betis are through last 16 round once again indeed. It has become pretty much a habit for them in the recent years as well. Because they were able to achieve the same success in the previous two seasons too. However in none of them they were able to make it to upper rounds. We will see whether they can do it this time.

But they were really unlucky with draws in both of those seasons at the same time. In the previous season they faced Manchester United in their good times and the Red Devils destroyed them. Before that season they faced Frankfurt which ended up being the champions too.  Grin

No matter that Manchester United was at a good time the leagues of Spain and UK have not much difference in quality although I agree that UK has somewhat a bit more than La Liga in Spain,so as long as Real Betis is a team from Spain they can face anyone whichever team it may be and fight in equal spirit.

I believe that this time the draw will be somewhat luckier to them and they deserve to go to at least 1/8 or why not to 1/4 or the final itself, they are a team that play beautiful football in some recent games that I have watched them playing, even in Europa League they were dominating most of the games against their opponents so they surely can do better and be in the upper rounds.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 23, 2023, 11:29:05 AM
Aside this side of my view, it is always wise when you have to gamble tactically in the manner that you can take control of your exciting pace just as OP has illustrated else the game may turns biased against your excitements.
If it is that easy to be wise in gambling then many gamblers could have been winners today. Not millionaires but they may be sitting somewhere in Hawaii drinking their beers.
But it's difficult to be wiser than the gambling site. Most of the time emotions consume us like greed, and ego, and could also be envy when we see someone share their winnings.
Madness will always get the better of us when we are losing, it's the time when we chase our losses while not thinking ahead. I think I have been in that position many times where all I can say to myself is to stop doing it but my hands will just keep on pressing the bet button because I want my money back.
It's wrong, foolish, stupid, and yet the feeling of satisfactory is also there especially if we achieved our goal which is to win back what was taken from us.

I think the word wise sounds inappropriate when it is brought up in a discussion about gambling and what someone has learnt so far. I know that some will now argue against me, but wise is a big word. If someone says "it would be wiser to do this or that", that person recommends doing a lot of things differently or refrain from doing a lot of things and instead do other things. Going back to gambling regularly, believing that acting wise can change the outcome on a slot machine doesn't sound very wise to me. It is rational to understand that gambling is not for earning income, but for experiencing pleasure.

Sometimes also depend on what the circumstances are, yesterday for example I got a lot of euphoria (not the Calvin Clein perfume  Grin) as I upgraded my account at Stake at a new level,I had 75 dollars and got another 65 dollars as a bonus and I lost it all because of that euphoria,I thought I am going to win as I am just an upgraded level of myself  Grin but in reality I kept losing while having false hopes.

That is not wise at all of what I did yesterday night,a wise person would have immediately stopped at that moment, placed some sport bets and enjoy the day yet I got and lost it all,it is difficult to be wise nowadays.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: November 23, 2023, 09:20:28 AM
The last 4 games were very bad, you are right, they didnt win any of them. Against Venezuela they should have win, but just before the end in minute 85 they got the 1:1 and play a drew. If they won that game, they would have been ahead of Argentina in the group, both with 9 points, but Brazil with more goals. After the game it got worse, losing vs Uruguay, Colombia and now Argentina. The next games are 9 months away, with the European Championship in Germany in between, which I think is the best thing for Brazil not to play at the moment.

Brazil started their qualifiers with a spectacular 5-1 win over Bolivia at the Estádio Olímpico do Pará in Belém. And then, in the next match they struggled but ended up with a 1-0 win against Peru. After that things went rapidly downhill for them. During the third match, they conceded a 1-1 draw against one of the weakest teams in CONMEBOL (Venezuela). They were leading with a margin of 1-0 till the 85th minute, before Eduard Bello made it 1-1 to give Venezuela a precious point against Brazil. Horrorfest followed, with loses against Uruguay (0-2), Colombia (1-2) and Argentina (0-1).

I was also just seeing how the standings are for South America at World Cup qualifiers and it is truly horrendous to see Brazil in 7th place with very less chances to make it to this World Cup,I don't know how it would look a World Cup without Brazil,I guess this is the first one or we have a very very long time that we don't witness such thing.

I wish Brazil recovers but seeing their way of play in most of these games so far this looks more like wishful thinking rather than them having a real chance to make it back to this tournament.
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Carreer skill benefit of gambling on: November 23, 2023, 08:29:12 AM
There exist over one million and one reason why people hate gambling, but few benefits of gambling can make a player to outsmart his colleagues in the office. Or even in an interview. I was able to check how gambling benefits relate to what HR officers look out for in a candidate before hiring them. There are 2 main benefit of gambling that improves the major skills people look out for in an employee in every offices.

1. Critical thinking: there have never been any job opening that doesn't require candidates to have this skill, because every company needs it to grow. And under critical thinking include skills like problem solving, idealist etc.

2. Socialization: Mainly the corporate world will call it interpersonal relationship. It's a very crucial skill anywhere we find ourselves in the world. And gamblers who participate in board games, easily develop the skill. When in the office, they'll always socialize and make friends with co-workers.

Personally, I've experienced these two, in my daily conversation with people. And realized that my responses are now more effective than it used to be in the past, before I began gambling. I'd always think fast and respond accurately what the next person wants to hear. And most times it makes them laugh.  Grin

There are other benefits of gambling, and how it has helped your gambling life. It'll be great if you shared some of it with us. Cheers.

The only benefit of gambling I like it is when I hit near max wins or max wins from my playing sessions, socially I haven't seen any improvement,if at all dis-improvement as socially speaking when I have had a huge play session and I lost and go out with my family I tend to talk a lot less than I normally do.

The opposite though is great and helps me talk much better when I go out with my family or friends I tend to talk a lot more and people really laugh with my jokes,so I can say overall gambling is what my mood depend on most of the time and I behave based on what I have experienced in my last betting session.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 23, 2023, 08:10:03 AM
I think that the coaches who have played as attackers in their football career tend to be a bit better than other coaches who have played a different role. Also Albania qualified first defying all the odds when the group were announced there were Czech Republic and Poland so nobody thought they would be first, the coach was Sylvinho a winger that most played in attack rather than his role of defense and he like Montella had a great success in these qualifiers by making history.

Italian coaches are great as they come from Serie A which is a very tactical league to play in so they know a couple more things to apply to their strategy.

But Italy has always been famous for its good defense, strong goalkeepers and it seems that this tactic has not shown itself very well in recent years, since pressing, attacking football has an advantage, it seems to me that Guardiola can be a good example of this. But sometimes defensive tactics also bring results, representatives of such football are Simione and Mourinier, although they achieve titles less often, it still happens from time to time. So I agree with you, attacking football now brings better results.

I will again take an example from Albania, first time when they qualified for the Euros in 2016 the coach was an Italian guy,Gianni De Biasi and I don't know what role he had as a player but he strongly played in defense and counter attacks which made the qualification and as second in the group with a very much controversial way of playing,it turned out in the Euro it was a bad move and they lost 2 games out of three.

Now with Sylvinho Albania against Poland has scored one of the most beautiful goals of all the qualifiers, you can watch on Youtube or on Euro2024 Instagram page and this is something they never did before, scoring beautiful goals and leading the group.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 23, 2023, 07:48:02 AM
At a time when the competition was very difficult in Group F, AC Milan actually had to lose an important player in their team due to injury, of course this would be quite a big loss, as we all know currently the AC Milan team is inconsistent, which means the squad in their team is not yet qualified and It is almost certain that there are no players who are ready to maintain the team's performance if player rotation occurs.

I think AC Milan's percentage of qualifying from the group is now getting smaller, the competition in Group F is very fierce with teams that have good quality such as PSG, Newcastle and Dortmund.
AC Milan is a team full of experience in the Champions League which allows them to make a comeback by winning 2 wins in the remaining two matches. I think they will try to take advantage of their chances to qualify for the round of 16. When AC Milan was able to beat Psg, I was very confident that Pioli men would perform impressively in the two second leg matches. For this reason, AC Milan must try their best to get 3 points. Yes, bad news hit them where several important players in their squad had to be absent when AC Milan faced Dortmund.

I think Giroud will be the main focus for AC Milan in the match against Dortmund because two players as his tandem on the front line were absent due to injury. Like Pulisic and Leoa, both of whom will miss this important match due to injury. However, a big advantage could be in favor of Ac milan because they are playing at home where they can focus on playing better to be able to secure 3 points.
For Ac Milan to come from behind and beat Paris Saint-German in their last encounter in the Uefa Champions League means they are serious about reaching the last 16 of the Uefa Champions League. Ac Milan's next match is at home against Borussia Dortmund, and I see Ac Milan taking the three points at home against Borussia Dortmund because it is not easy traveling to Italy to take a point against a club like Ac Milan and they have experience of the Uefa Champions League.
These things do not always happen as expected. For example, Newcastle United lost 3 points to Dortmund in England. Milan are not in form and have dropped points in their last matches. Dortmund can get a point from them. If Milan cannot win this match, their situation will be very bad in the group. That's why they must win this match no matter what.
I agree with you that Newcastle United lost three points against Borussia Dortmund both home and away, that is because Newcastle United players lack Uefa Champions League experience. Even though Ac Milan is not in form in the Italy Serie a and dropped points in their last league game, they can still win their match against Borussia Dortmund because the Uefa Champions League has a different spirit of play, and Ac Milan can use home advantage to beat Borussia Dortmund.

Newcastle lost both games against Dortmund but the problem was at their home game where a super heavy rain impacted their performance, and even so they had more than 8-9 clamorous chances to score which they missed and I made a comparison at that time by saying if you wanna see bad luck in person it was the second half of that game for Newcastle.

At Dortmund was another story they did not show anything and they deserve to lose that game, now they will be having a super hard time even to get the third place let alone qualifying.
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 23, 2023, 07:32:41 AM
Wales didn't manage to beat Turkey and game ended 1:1. On the other hand, Crotia managed to defeat Armenia with one goal and came out of the group as the 2nd. Thus, Croatia and Turkey qualified to participate in the EURO 2024 European Cup. So Turkey secured 2nd pot. Croatia secured 3nd pot. Türkiye finished the group qualifiers at the top for the first time.
When the groups were announced, my guess was that we would finish second at best (Türkiye). However, I was surprised and we finished top of the group. After the unsuccessful performance in the Nations League, I did not expect this good performance in the European Cup qualifiers. Montella had 3 wins and 1 draw in 4 matches with Turkey. He added a new atmosphere to the team and brought new players onto the field without fear. I think he can make great decisions and I believe he can be more successful in Turkey.

1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: November 22, 2023, 10:27:38 PM
We are getting very close to the end of the season day by day. When it comes to the pool I can see that there is still a fierce competition for the championship as well. I wish I was also a part of it but I couldn't have a good run at the beginning and now it is too late.  Sad  If my podium came true in Las Vegas Grand Prix it would have really been helpful for me to rise quite much.

Anyways returning to the final race of the season on Abu Dhabi track we could still watch another enjoyable race. For example there is an amazing competition for 2nd place in constructor standings. Ferrari have closed up the gap with Mercedes a lot after Las Vegas and it is only 4 points now. I would expect all the drivers of these teams to do their best for finishing ahead.

It was still fun, but don't forget there is a potential to still win a big prize with the final prediction contest. The more people participate the bigger the prize, so lets all make picks!

My only chance of top 3 is to get yellow cap, because of huge gap with MoSala so maybe this is the time to risk it all Smiley

Yeah the final prediction contest of the season looks really awesome. The great prize is waiting to be taken and there are already near 30 predictions under the topic as well.  Grin

When it comes to taking risks I have also been trying to do so for a while. It is really difficult to change some picks but there is nothing else to do if we are desperate to do it. For example I tried Perez - Verstappen - Leclerc podium for the last race but Perez couldn't find a better pace in the last laps unfortunately.  Sad

People below the 8th place have two choices in the final race, they can try and go for the most likely prediction in order to try and be in the prize spots as the last prize spot if I am not mistaken is the 12th place. If they are not happy with these prize spots they can choose to risk it all by going with some huge surprise choices in order to have a go at making or breaking it.

Personally I suggest anyone to stick to their most likely choices and to not do alternative choices if they are in the prize spots,a prize is still a prize whatever it maybe.

For the last race I have shouted at that mediocre driver Perez as I had Verstappen Perez Leclerc and I would have gotten another 2 points which would have made me fight for the podium of prizes here.
1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in psychic betting? on: November 22, 2023, 06:19:10 PM
Psychic betting is placing bets based on the prediction of individuals or even animals because of the belief that they possess supernatural power to accurately determine the outcome of a bet. There is the true story of Fatih Ozcan[1] who help his boss Hayati Kucukkoylu to win a $1.7 million lottery through the power of dreams. He claimed that he received the revelation about the Euro Millions tickets from his dreams. There is also Paul the Psychic Octopus [2] who is known to predict international football games correctly. He even predicted correctly that Spain will win the  2010 FIFA World Cup.

[2] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_the_Octopus

For such lotteries to win them I think there is no psychic involved,if that is decided by God and is written down for you that you will win that huge amount you are going to win that huge amount. Most people are intrigued by such wishful thinking as that is what it is for me and they relate their dreams to such happening.I do not believe in the power of the dreams (Honda does as they have it as a slogan) and I think dreams are our sub conscience which tell us in this case to play exactly those number. Also the Octopus was famous in World Cup but I don't think it needed that much choice, usually strange enough he was picking favorites.

If you ask me I believe half of the clubs in every big league is guilty and could be charged with something with exception of Bundesliga maybe. Seems like Germans learned their lesson and now have the league and clubs on healthy foundations.

For sure. Big, small, all guilty, the bigger and closer to top, the more guilty.

But don't be too sure about Bundesliga. I agree they have best system, but they have their own problems. They also have no salary cap now, and it is the club management that can be controlled, great but it's npt a guarantee of good management.

Barca for example is very good democratic club ownership but... it still allowed huge financial scandals.

The FA can be found guilty of many many things but why should we care as it doesn't concern us,we love football and they have the best league on the world where everybody agrees they have the most beautiful football played.

They can have their problems and I am not going to think that just because these people aren't the most honest and with integrity persons to not watch this league,I will always watch this league whatever happens, for those problems there are the law enforcement agencies that have to deal with them.

Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? If yes, what had been your strategy ? Do you diversify to multiple games in order to ensure that end result is always profit ?

I personally feel that there are very less chances of making a steady income with gambling. In fact, if you win a big amount in gambling, from there on , you should play games with less on stake and keep the winnings invested in some good option like crypto. It is important to have self control to end profitably with gambling ventures online. Do you agree with this ?

In theory that is what everybody should do,however since this topic has been brought up many times it means that human greed is much more prevalent than it is the human logic, that is in our DNA so we cannot do anything about it.It is exactly this greed that keeps us coming back, yesterday I was lucky to hit to huge multipliers within the same hour one x8000 and one x6000 in Fish Eye slot yet I withdrew the profit and I still want to play today with the remaining amount, the logic says today is going to be a bad day as you cannot win always yet my greed tells me to try again to hit those huge multipliers.

Actually, I think the European league is the second priority for Liverpool. Because the Premier League is the best league in the world and they will have to be more careful as they will play against teams that are tougher than the European league. If they care about the European league, they are almost guaranteed to win the championship with great victories.
A team as big as Liverpool should be able to make these two competitions run side by side with the same target, the Europa League and the Premier League are equally fierce and competitive, in the Premier League as we know there are many strong teams in the competition for the title as well as in the Europa League which is quite The competition is tight, but with the strength that Liverpool has, they should be able to prioritize both even though it is difficult to become champions in the Premier and Europa League.

In theory yes,Liverpool should be able to go much further in the Europa League considering that at least 85% of the teams there compared to players of Liverpool are much weaker than them. This should have a softer impact on Liverpool  as it is a much lighter league in terms of performing compared to the Premier League. This way I think Liverpool can even do well here in the Europa League not with their best starting eleven which I believe should be used much more in the Premier League which is wide open this season, overall though yeah a team like Liverpool can do pretty well by fighting in both leagues.
