1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [POLL] After the merge the price of Ethereum will go? on: September 14, 2022, 11:34:46 PM
As far as I understand, ETH doesn't always follow the current trend of crypto market or stick on the path of Bitcoin only.

You have a point there that ETH price doesn't always follow the current trend but likely, referring to the current trend, it seems that the upcoming merge doesn't really build a big hype. Looking at the 24h monitoring, the price is up just by around 4% which can be considered just a normal price increase. Should be more than that if there's a really big buzz about it. Approximately, 6 hrs to go before the merge and the price isn't even shaking. The ETH market will be temporarily halted on exchanges few hours before the merge and still, there's no bullish movement.

As usual, the post-effect can only be seen later on. Regardless of what will happen, if people think that it's a good chance now to accumulate, then just do it without a doubt and hesitation.
1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else feeling let down by crypto Play to Earn gaming sector ? on: September 14, 2022, 11:20:54 PM

After all that happened, you should already know the risk of putting money in any Crypto P2E based-games.

Hype doesn't last for long that's why you need to take advantage of it while it was currently trending.

As a gamer myself, I don't feel any letting down since after all, I enjoy what I'm doing without expecting any big return. If I'm putting money on several games before and even today in non-P2E games, then as long as I loved playing that supposed P2E games, it doesn't matter to me if I don't get a profit with it.

Obviously, you shouldn't play several games at the same time if you don't know what you are doing and your only purpose is to just earn money. That's a waste of time and money thinking it will bring big profits for you in the future.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose an online casino? on: September 14, 2022, 11:15:14 PM
I've been playing online casino slot machines for a while now, and I'm looking for advice on which ones are the best. I like to play the ones with lots of different payouts and bonuses, but sometimes the games take a long time to load. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Since this kind of question has already been asked several asked times, you can refer to some of these threads for reference:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5402076.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5392479.0

After choosing an online casino that you want to try on, you can ask again the community about that specific casino before deciding to put money in it.

1465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 13, 2022, 11:59:27 PM
And here are some keys to be able to see the streaming of these boxers, in case you are interested:

Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream: How to watch fight online and on TV this weekend

I think only a few here will pay for a subscription just to watch the live stream. Anyways, I will try to put some links here that require no subscription if ever my source will share some links as usual when there's a big boxing match. Should be no problem posting it here.

3 nights to go and the odds for Canelo still play at @1.17 while GGG is @4.90.

Still a huge gap provided by the bookies but viewers are expecting a close-bout.
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 13, 2022, 11:52:13 PM
I honestly would like to see Russ traded so the Lakers will have a strong line-up with no excuses if they can't compete on top.

I don't think trading Russell Westbrook will make the Lakers have a strong lineup.

I don't even see them as one of the contenders even if Westbrook is not there.

However, depending on the situation, if the Lakers are doing great in the early phase of the next season, Westbrook might stay. If not, might be considered traded in midseason. Not seeing Westbrook will be traded prior to the start of the season as far as the latest news or rumors are concerned. Safe to conclude that we keep it that way.
1467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 13, 2022, 11:38:28 PM
I don't think Inoue would advance in weight division any time soon. He'll probably just stay in his weight class and defeat many challengers before deciding to go up one division. He's still young, and there isn't any rush for him to challenge a higher weight division. Vargas and other prime boxers in the Featherweight will surely be waiting for him, but these guys are no pushovers so Inoue must enjoy his reign in the Bantamweight division while it lasts.

Actually, Inoue is already enjoying his reign in the Bantamweight division. It's not making sense to see Inoue staying at that division if ever he will now be the undisputed bantamweight champion after beating Paul Butler. Nothing left to do now and he's capable or should I say overqualified to now testing the waters at a much higher division.

He's still young @ 29 but he should take advantage of his prime and face new challenges at the Featherweight since, after all, he already topped the Bantamweight.  From 118-119 lbs there should be no problem for Naoya Inoue adjusting to the 122-125 lbs.

Anyways, let's just wait for his plan after this match.
1468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 13, 2022, 11:26:09 PM
what casinos should do is to investigate the source of the deposits to fight against this illegal activity, but that will not happen because is a win-win game from them.

That is violating the privacy of the users. That is something not comfortable for us.

The investigation should just be done if the account triggered the "alarm" or something along those lines.

So, what do you say, does crypto casinos really care about money laundering?

I will put it this way:

Regulated ones = YES
Unregulated ones = NO
Shitty ones = FFA

For crypto-casinos to fully operate without a problem, they really need to follow anything related to legality.
1469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 12, 2022, 02:53:18 PM
I think we just have to wait for the announcement, but good thing there are rumors.

Honestly, if I will give my own opinion regarding that issue, I'm more of thinking that it was partially true.

Maybe NLEX is really up for sale but not official yet or still in consideration. Officially parting ways with Coach Yeng is the start. I can't think of a reason why NLEX will offer a corporate job for Coach Yeng with a decent salary instead of putting him in a much higher op that is still related to basketball operations of the team. It means they just want to assure that Coach Yeng will still have a decent job after selling NLEX but since Coach Yeng wants to continue his career in basketball, he rejected the NLEX offer even with a decent salary and choose to stay as a Head Coach.

Again, this is just my opinion. Smiley
1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 12, 2022, 02:38:17 PM
I never see Inoue struggling in his last fights and it seems like he already mastered the way to dominate everyone in their current weight division. it's only a matter of time before he has the opportunity to try his skills in the upper weight class, where you can say he will be tested.

It's only Nonito Donaire who was able to hurt Naoya Inoue badly in his entire boxing career but still, Inoue got the win in the end. That was on their first match at the WBSS Bantamweight Finals. Inoue is able to survive those early rounds of punishments that Donaire gives and later on, dominates the later round and sealed the win. Comparing Donaire to Butler, we know who's the better between them.

Even how hard Paul Butler will do in the training, that's not enough to compete closely with Naoya Inoue. It's still a good experience though for Butler to taste the feeling of being in an undisputed and unification match. Only "true" champions experienced that feeling.

1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 12, 2022, 02:17:58 PM
Sure they are already finding ways to find the weakness of Canelo, and since Canelo lose on his previous fight, then I guess they know already the weakness of Canelo. However, this is a different fight though as GGG is not Bivol, and Canelo won the previous fight against him, so it's still a tough challenge.

We can assume that GGG's camp already watched the Canelo-Bivol fight to make it a reference to their planned strategy but not to the point they will create a new one just designed specifically for Canelo. They watched it to just see how it turned out that Bivol was able to give a touch match to Canelo.

Finding Canelo's weakness is not making sense. Why find the weakness as a priority instead of just improving what GGG is capable of, which is his strength. Look at how Bivol just does his usual boxing style against Canelo. Even GGG is not Bivol as you mentioned, the same logic applies.
1473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 12, 2022, 01:45:12 PM
The Road Warriors franchise is for sale, multiple sources told SPIN.ph.

Yes, saw this news a while ago.

According to @HomerSayson - The NLEX franchise is for sale as per his multiple sources.
According to @InsideThePBA - The NLEX franchise is NOT for sale as per one of the executives in the MVP Group. Homer is not credible, they add lol.

Either way, I don't mind that thing. It will open for a more independent team and that is what matters for a balanced league.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best way of contacting steamers who do live stream their gamble? on: September 12, 2022, 01:24:46 PM

I think OP now already knows how to contact those streamers because of the same responses.

Although OP didn't give some of the specific criteria they are looking for, up to them to manually check those recommendations here.

These are the mentioned streamers up to this point:

I preferred this streamer https://youtube.com/c/RiiSki because he is providing a natural content on blackjack. You can contact him on his discord account https://discord.com/invite/riiski

Just did a quick search in google and found this https://streamsentials.com/casino-streamers/

Here in our country, I think the gambling stream can be content intentionally by our own Julius "Banoobs" Mariano and Shehyee.

1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 11, 2022, 11:45:36 AM
To prevent this from happening parents need to control the entertainment of their child and limit children from this kind of games. If a child is already involved in gambling, educate him or her about the principles of casinos and the likelihood of winning at a particular game of chance. Children's future depends on parents' willingness to help them make the right choice when they themselves are not experienced enough.

Preventing the minors to the extent that parents will show a strict might not be effective. It mostly leads for these minor to become more curious about what gambling is all about. There's no 100% way to prevent them encountering gambling while they are growing up. With just a simple walk in park, they might encounter gambling-related stuff. Or while at their school, one of their classmate is already doing some small gambling etc.

The best way is to continue educating them, as you mentioned, all the risks associated in doing gambling. Believe me, it's not that a minor will just have an interest in gambling that easily even nowadays we are in the generation where most minors are exposed in gadgets playing games freely. It's still depend on their preference. Just because they are minors, they are not capable of thinking what's right or wrong.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 11, 2022, 11:03:34 AM
NLEX wasn't really a popular team. It's always the TNT or Meralco which usually goes to the finals, so they don't need a good coach I believe. Well, coach Yeng was good but I think he was not given everything he needs, the reason why his team was underperforming.

Actually, NLEX has a big chance making it to the Finals last season in the Governors Cup because of their import KJ McDaniels. As mentioned by other user here previously, KJ McDaniels were unable to finish his playing career in NLEX because of the delays that surely affected his own timeline to follow. He is averaging a monster stats on that conference and a top candidate as a Best Import if only he able to finished his tenure.

Aside from that, NLEX finished 2nd on that conference and still secures the twice-to-beat advantages in the playoffs even the team faced several problems like, best cager Jericho Cruz rejects the NLEX offer and choose to signed with SMB, Kiefer Ravena leaving the team for his Japan stint, Calvin Oftana's season ending injury and lastly, KJ McDaniels decision t return home.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA EuroBasket 2022 on: September 11, 2022, 10:34:56 AM
Luka Doncic is just bad. He got used to the different rules in FIBA. Those attacks aiming for the opponent to take the foul won't work in NBA because of the new rule but here he could do it again.
It should be either an offensive foul or no-call.

Can't wait to see how he will adjust to that new rule in NBA. As he mentioned before, it's easy to score buckets in NBA compare to Euroleague because of the different rules and way of gameplay. As I watched some of his highlights recently, his scoring came from different zones therefore if taking a foul driving to the hoop won't work now in NBA, he can easily shift gears.

Since there's no change of the rules regarding that in FIBA or in European Basketball in general, he will continue to take advantage of that.

But above all of my statement, damn Luka. He is really turning into a monster.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 11, 2022, 10:06:30 AM
That's unfair for GGG, I always do check the boxer's last fight to see how they will perform in their coming fights and so far GGG perform better and had better results compared to Canelo, who was beaten convincingly by Bivol, the fight for me could go either way, yes Canelo is a good body puncher but so is GGG it will count down who can land a better puncher and well prepared in this fight both fighters can win the match it all goes down to preparation for both fighters.

Might seems to be unfair but these boxers who made speculations knows and understands well the actual experience fighting in the ring compare to us speculators and viewers. They will not give their respective analysis without a good basis and set of factors. If we buy those or not, it's on us.

We also have to take note that Canelo prior being defeated by Bivol is an undisputed fighter in the Super Middleweight. He moved up to Light Heavyweight Division that isn't his usual zone (although he already did a fight at this division once before and won) to take Bivol but got defeated that's why I'm not involving the Bivol-Canelo fight as a factor in analyzing this trilogy between Canelo and GGG.

If their speculations will happened or not, only we can see it on the day of the fight.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 11, 2022, 09:32:03 AM
And now that they have a new coach, it seems the he will explore Davis more often as he has said publicly. He will be the first choice in office.  But the injuries though, he has been plague for years and hopefully he will be at least play as much game as he can and will be healthy.

Yes, that's correct. Coach Darvin Ham even looking forward too for a change in Russell Westbrook this upcoming season. Good to see that their new head coach understand some of the "issues" that the team is dealing with last season and already have a plan for some adjustments.

Pointing to Anthony Davis, there's no question about his performance even after an injury. He is consistent in establishing decent stats every time he returns to the court. However, it's just that he always got injured. I thought before that he has that strong built but the more he will continue to suffer injuries, he might become a Boogie 2.0. So unfortunate seeing a player with a superstar or all-star level and still considered on their prime but always being sidelined for long because of injury.

Yordenis Ugas Eyes Ring Return Next Year, Targets Keith Thurman, Jaron Ennis, and Vergil Ortiz

Yordenis Ugas might not have that big hype named until he beats Manny Pacquiao and got his best ever title in his entire boxing career, the WBA SuperWelterWeight title that becomes his ticket to fight in an unification match against Errol Spence Jr. who prior to their fight, holding the IBF and WBC welterweight titles. Unfortunately, he failed to win in that match and the direction of his career becomes unclear.

However, he is looking forward returning to the ring next year and some of his targets are Keith Thurman (who didn't fight have an official fight for 31 months but still managed to win unanimously against Mario Barrios on February this year), Vergil Ortiz and Jarron Enis.

Not expecting much from him but good for him to make some money before retiring.
