Best way. And then use the BTC go gamble -> max profit.

I don't know if you took my answer sarcastically but my answer was a serious one. Credit has been cheaper than ever.

i count 15.5 to 7 as #4 for me.

I wasn't around for June 2011, however, so I'm at 3.

I consider bitcoin the compact immersion training course for market psychology yet!

Cool, you put a lot of work on this chart. Where are we now by the way

Well that dip we just had from 900 to 400-600s..say, I'll let you pick any one of those dips on my chart and we can call it that one Smiley
1465  Economy / Speculation / Re: vokain's FREE analysis!! (with chart) on: November 21, 2013, 05:06:51 PM
What type of event is the Homo Sapiens Sapiens and why is the chart to coarse to indicate what happened in the last 10.000 years?

Homo sapiens sapiens on first thought might've been a negative pressure, but now that I think about it, with all the radiation we've put into the environment I don't doubt if we've created even more.

I'd imagine data sampling is done via geological means, which is why the chart is so coarse.

edit:
Bitcoin is not an experiment.   It is a living organism - much like a virus.   It mutates.

The blockchain is like its DNA, with us, the market participants, as its ribosomes that read the DNA and eventually craft the proteins so necessary for its function. Organic proliferation is a beautiful thing; a simple time function Smiley

Boating? WTF!

I have lost 10,000's of BTC  but never any gold/silver.

However I take responsibility for my actions and I'm not crying about it.

Chaang how'd you ever get into Bitcoins?

4chan/anon

back in the day there was some debate as to if this should be used and i saw it and was like !!!!!!!   the others more or less rejected it back then.

i kinda got sucked in right then and there leaving everything else behind. i helped get moot into btc (4chan has taken it for over a year). pretty sure im the first he ever sent btc too just testing it out.

Yes! because I remember you prominently on the Securities board in my Bitcoin youngin' days. Nearly everyone was a scammer back then, I thought you were one too Cheesy "Who the **** is this Goat guy!!" I always thought

1470  Economy / Speculation / Re: [poll] US Senate hearing reception (part II) on: November 20, 2013, 07:05:54 PM
I always here this and all I can think of is what do people do now if they're paying with cash?  What's the difference between bitcoin and cash?

Massive difference. I have to actually hand it over in person.
If I walked into a store and purchased a book with cash, and the cashier didn't give me the book I would cause a huge uproar.

If I purchased a book on an online store and paid with Bitcoins and it didn't arrive in post, who do I turn to now?

Problem with reputation is a new store begins at 0, so the first customer has to take a leap of faith.

or the store has to take a leap of faith....
OR ESCROW IT LIKE SILK ROAD HAS TAUGHT US

The cool thing with elder folk is that they've lived through so many paradigm-shifting technical innovations in their lifetime, why can't Bitcoin be one too? Smiley

They get it! I wouldn't expect them to drop terms like sha-256 and ecdsa but they get the basic concept! And with the Senator knowing that a stolen private key can be used to modify the public ledger! How far we have come

edit: YES! they even get that you can use Bitcoin to hedge against unstable inflation!

very impresses with some staffers today, yes

I'm even impressed by Sen. Schumer now.

Is anyone else having issues with limit buy orders? It tells me "you have entered the wrong price, please try again" or something like that.

I think there's some arbitrary stop that prevents you from setting a limit too high over the market price. I set a limit too high by mistake one time (reversed my price and size order fields) and it saved me.

Nothing, Bitcoin is the NWO currency.

Not sure if serious.

just a question (I couldn't follow all the forums lately): why is there such a huge spread between bitstamp and bitfinex?

Bitfinex buyers can't get USD to Bitstamp to bring the price up, and the only people selling on Bitfinex are selling at a substantial premium

Any update regarding the progress of the PR group hired?

(Kudos to the board for recognizing this, I think it will be money well spent. First mover advantage with a few articles outside of the Bitcoin community especially..e.g. Techcrunch, Slashdot, Forbes, etc will be HUGE.)

Just finalizing the press kit, interview requests are coming in now and we should see the results of that effort in due time.
1480  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is bitfinex down? on: November 18, 2013, 04:05:49 PM
Hello guys,

I just post a quick note to say:

We are waiting for a last week big wire to be credited on Bitstamp today
We have sent another wire today
(both should really help as we have really sent out a lot)

And within a few hours, we will upgrade the platform. You will experience a downtime, we'll make it as short as possible.

Thank you all
Raphael
