1462  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: March 04, 2021, 05:54:56 PM
It's a very interesting discussion for me. Why do criminals prefer fiat money of course because fiat money still dominates higher adoption and of course they still find it easier to use fiat currency than crypto.
In addition cryptocurrencies have unstable value, perhaps that is also the problem for them.
With the implementation of KYC security system and fingerprint of course this is also the fear of criminals.
There are hardly any statistics on this topic. Most likely, this is just an assumption that criminals use cash more than cryptocurrency. Although it would be logical. After all, not all criminals are well versed in the world of cryptocurrency to risk their freedom with it. And cash is simpler and more reliable, and besides, it is almost impossible to trace it. Therefore, we should not give up cash.

And if those criminals are using Crypto then smarter ones from them are using Mixing services to make turn their money white.
I used to think Monero is transparent until recently someone started exposing the porn habits of people and their IP addresses made me question its anonymity.

1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2021, 11:33:48 AM
One reason might be that people are afraid of bitcoin is that they don't know anything about, excerpts from gossips is not exactly a good relay for information. It is natural that you are afraid of something you don't know, but to dispel that fright of the unknown, the only thing that we can do is to face it head on and look for answers to our questions, if there are people that are sharing information about bitcoin in a neutral standpoint, I think that we can remove this fear surrounding these people who are afraid to take a leap of faith. If there is a light that will guide, people will walk through the darkness.

True, people that trusts gossips easily without due diligence then they miss out on the opportunity rather it be bitcoin or something else.
Recently most gossips and hypes around bitcoin was to keep people away from bitcoin and for what? So that institutions can buy bitcoin or other crypto currencies at a cheap rate.
Tactics used by those people is mostly fear and ill language towards bitcoin like “it’s a bubble”.
1465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: March 03, 2021, 02:20:19 PM
Just spend 10 minutes reading how Dogecoin was conceived, what's it for, where it's used and you would never be eager to hold dofe for the long term. Dogecoin has no fixed supply and it's a miracle that it's still running considering that the project has no maintainers anymore.
Don't but Doge thinking it will give you some return in the future, Elon's pump was probably the last one.

Obviously powerful people are pumping DOGE. The pump will come to an end at a certain point and at that time DOGE will end up similar to XRP.

XRP ended up really bad but there are still people thinking it'll reach a Trillion-dollar market cap  Grin

I agree with you regarding the pump, It's not just doge that's being pumped there are a couple of other coins and tokens that were pumped.
1466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What happened with Dogecoin faucets? on: March 03, 2021, 02:08:33 PM
so far i know both of freedoge.co.in and freebitco.in its a same company , and probably freedoge.co.in its no longer give a good profit and they just shut it down and focused only to freebitco.in, and btw last time i got payment about freedoge.co.in its about 6 june 2015  Cheesy .
about faucet it self , well i do not really sure why they just closed their business, has ads didn't give good pay anymore ?

Probably the increase of the token value while the transaction fee in $DOGE didn't change is the main reason why they shut down the faucet. The increasing value of transaction is the main reason why faucet industry are not profitable anymore because it didn't adjust accordingly on the token value itself.

Yep, That's quite likely what's the reason but I also think it's because of not being able to "Pay to many".
Just like with bitcoin we're able to "Pay to many" In the wallet.
It's now around 0.05$/Doge which is also the transaction fee for a single transaction which is quite huge for the faucet industry to send Doges to a single user.

1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin did you make the most money from? on: March 03, 2021, 10:04:14 AM
Doge is the best that happened to me this year that I made my huge win as well, totally unexpected that I'm holding an amount only intended for playing dice with martingale strategy.

If you're going to play martingale for your holdings then be warned I've seen 21 losses in a row on martingale strategy on primedice which wiped out my entire balance and leaving me with a small amount.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN RIPPLE SURVIVE? on: March 03, 2021, 08:06:08 AM
Ripple (XRP) has been suffering series of hindrances from regulatory body (The US SEC) since late last year. The attack led to a litigation in a US court leading to panic sales of XRP from majority of their investors. The litigation in the US saw the co-founder of XRP who happens to be the CEO of Stellar XLM sold his XRP. This created more fear among the investors before XRP started to gain the market loss back in January.

Another report came out a week ago that the UK treasury has classified XRP as non-security asset and this is different from the law suit by the US SEC filed against XRP.

Will this mean the XRP might be back to it's position in the Cryptocurrency community soon?

Did they know it before that the CEO of XLM is the co-founder of XRP?
I'm sure when Co-founder sold his XRP then i can only imagine the fear amount top XRP investors.
-If the founder cannot hold onto his company then why should they.
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin did you make the most money from? on: March 03, 2021, 08:02:05 AM
I remember a trade i did back in 2017-2018 with IOTA-BTC pair and made around 3-4 BTC because the coin raised around 30-50% in 24 hours.
The other time i made a quick profit in XRP during it's initial raise but it was not as much compared to IOTA.

So i'll go with -
IOTA
XRP
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Elon Musk Again & Again Tweet for Doge? on: March 02, 2021, 08:14:01 PM
He likes to have influence over the Doge market - I highly doubt that he has any skin in the game, it would be too risky for him, and he's already the richest man in the world, so there's no point for him to make money by manipulating the Doge market. It all probably started as a joke, because it's known that Elon likes memes, but at some point he became aware that his tweets pump Doge, so he started doing it for fun.

It's kinda funny if what you say is true regarding "He started doing it for fun"  Grin
I'm also aware that his tweets are pumping the dogecoin but I'm still not sure if he's doing it for fun or rather he has bought enough doge coins and now using his influence to pump that price which is unlikely but a possibility.
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: March 02, 2021, 01:47:31 PM
If you look at the coins from the top 20 CMC, then over time they will only grow, the same DOGE a couple of years ago was worth much less than now, and this coin was in sufficient quantity for each of us, so I think holding coins is the best investment for a long time.

I don't think only 20 top in CMC will grow, Over time there's a good possibility that good projects like polkadot or ETH might show up and they might take some coin's place in top 20.
Regardless of this in this recent bull run we've seen many Coins, as well as Tokens, go up. Forget that they were in 20 CMC but they were not even in the top 100 CMC coins or Tokens.
1473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: March 02, 2021, 12:46:57 PM
I would let the decision of selecting a crypto on rather it be doge or litecoin.
If I’m not wrong then the hype around DOGE started when Elon Musk made a comment on it.
Regarding fees, it’s not that high if you choose segwit for bitcoin, i remember my transaction got confirmed in 30 minutes for 10sat/bt.
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto offer riches overnight? on: March 02, 2021, 12:15:19 PM
Altcoin trading can truly offer riches over night if you can find the best if not optimal trades.
Most of the Tokens changes in price very quickly because of low volume and thus it’s easy to predict where the price is going.

1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto offer riches overnight? on: March 02, 2021, 07:26:22 AM
Being wealthy after only one night for a trader is not a simple thing. To be successful, they have to lose money many times, even to borrow to get money to continue investing. So nothing succeeds without experiencing difficulties. Patience is a must when investing in cryptocurrency.

I don't think borrowing money is necessary for investing. Also, there had been cases where trader became successful only after one trade.

Look at the example of people who bought bitcoin in 2009 and 2010 and are still bagging it.
