1481  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: May 21, 2023, 11:52:26 PM
The most common social media post would be to entice people into an idea of doubling their money;  a new operation very much resembles something unknown and highly dangerous to the average user.  If anything its much more common in crypto for people to try this false operation type of thing.    Just digitally in games outside of crypto I've seen entire fake websites setup, live chat, fake users all sorts just to convince someone I can easily gain you profits here as I have 'a system' for easy profits.
People must gain confidence somehow and there are many pit falls, the easiest most true advice is for people to stick to the very long term established casino setups.

Interesting story, but I can't understand why would you refer to it as a scam.

Well the court said it was science in the end so their opinion matters more.  I would label it as a scam initially because it was unknown and hidden technology used when no other player knew or had use of this, its clearly to an advantage and most would say unfair in competitive terms.  I applaud their ingenuity and invention of course but not in game terms really.

1482  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: May 21, 2023, 11:24:41 PM
Its not rising at the moment and has lost the 50 day average about 2 weeks ago, we fell below and have not challenged or attempted to recover that degree of momentum since.   So at best its sideways and worst we are stalling and due to fall further.  The recent peak on a weekly view was the lowest Fib level from the ATH and we failed to recover that also, so much work ahead to recover and regularly demonstrate strength in BTC price action.
BTC wont recover till it can demonstrate itself ready and able to hold various levels of prior volume and resistance, it has begun but not yet fully established the foundations of a recovery.  Its a long road imo.
1483  Economy / Economics / Re: marry rich: marry fiat rich or crypto rich, which is better? on: May 21, 2023, 11:01:46 PM
Money is inferior to peoples ability to create and be productive, however that usually takes a life time to achieve fully (a career etc.) and people marry young usually.  So a requirement to be rich to marry would seem incorrect, but if you marry someone you should value them highly.   Really general rule I would apply here and elsewhere is dont value things by their price tag, cash is for liquidity not really a good valuation of wealth in any larger sense.   Productivity and lots of other quality factors far outweigh ideas of cash, cant judge people in this way imo and I would avoid anyone who did.
1484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: May 20, 2023, 11:59:26 PM
27.5k or above today would show positive movement going forward.   Thats closing lows of May 9th to early May 11th and then resistance seen in most recent days.  If we now exceed those limits its a sign of positive action and ability to regain price points lost, if we make a new low however not just 4hr bars but daily etc.  then its more certain we are actually becoming more negative progressively.  So 25.8k is the lower boundary to these two paths to measure strength possibly indicate future BTC price direction better into next week.
Rising from here and putting 27k below us to close this weekly bar and into next week will mean we are trading above the weekly average which is where I start to count BTC as acting positively.

which I have lost

You have not lost, thats not how it works lol    The market has to offer a price no matter what, that does not mean its accurate and correct in entirety.  If the asset is being used and yes the main use of the token is on the website so you are using it; thats not a loss its a use.   Pricing is something else, that logic can apply to every asset pretty much but instead its super common for people just to gamble on prices fair enough thats the thinking of this customer base.  However in this particular case it is a working asset, some may dislike/like really dislike all of crypto again fine but I have to point out the difference I wouldn't encourage anyone to buy too much or what they cannot use but a fair balanced buy vs your use of the site thats fine imo.   Ditto many asset types try to stay balanced, the world is getting more volatile imo.

You dont have a loss till you sell at the bad price, dont enter into a situation where you must do so and same goes for BTC; its bad for all of us if people speculate and bet the price goes up using borrowed cash then BTC prices goes into a rollercoaster plunge (every asset under influence of leverage will do that in the end).    Pretty much that happens every time, I'm over feeling sick its normal now crypto has these swings be chill :p
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Gambling Operator Court Case on: May 20, 2023, 10:37:47 PM
This is a mainstream gamble site that makes a large amount of money in that country.  The lawsuit is hoping its more profitable for the company to give something back from the lost bets then look bad in the context of possible problem gambling, its a fair gambit I guess.   Its not the frequency of bets exactly but the duration in one day and possibly the percentage of wealth that customer had that was gambled.   A normal company wont know how much you have available to gamble but I suppose a very safe gamble operation could be required to run a credit check and operate limits based off that premise.
1487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 20, 2023, 02:03:39 PM
Vitality should be near now to a win in their own country surely, its about time though its not a French team as such its their closest shot in awhile.   However depending on the odds I was waiting to bet Heroic perhaps because they seem a hybrid of all aspects required to win a CSGO match.

The big surprise was rather to see Apeks and GamerLegion to reach the Semis.
Very big surprise considering all the big names, it feels like people are distracted or off their best game for many reasons.  I'm watching GL do very well vs Heroic right now on the first map and leading for large patches of the game however Heroic could take both maps without a push to stop them.  I didnt want to bet on Heroic on poor odds considering the challenge to them is real, so I bet 3 maps.
Im not sure I will bet the Vitality game later as the odds are quite low even for a precise score prediction, watching it for the grand final might be more important.

Congrats on that, giant amounts of luck required to just get the 2nd.  You are of course still owed by rights of many spins undertaken the 1st prize also Cheesy

With the Fun tokens I would be tempted to increase to the next tier however I will have to look at how much advantage that would be for me, only after 90 or 180 days does it increase.  I did sell some at higher prices, I'll add up whats the gap etc.  Its not as tempting, there is the 7th burn of Fun Token done recently apparently which should help price in theory but also people are getting more Fun Token yielded after locking it and that represents apparent supply too.   Just that by itself would explain price going back to flat and not rising from an old low in this area.   Price is an expression of the market its not absolute its squiggy, it can overvalue as well as undervalue and its subjective to say which usually people dont care they just worry about this cash out price.  Im not considering selling in this time period so in theory Im not as bothered :p   As others said above I already decided to lock the longer period so the interim price is more incidental.
BTC is flat and people would say disappointing or even a few its a definite negative trend which I think is off and little over reactive but thats sentiment.   This whole year I think it'll be back and forth no easy ground so whatever else I wouldnt be expecting best price in such bad weather tbh.
1489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wrong Predictions as price keep failing! on: May 19, 2023, 11:54:33 PM
Almost zero price action today appeared to happen, this is impressively unimpressive in seemingly nothing occuring Cheesy   I have to say BTC seems to be cast adrift as if its lost its sails for weeks on end sometimes and Im not sure why.  Do the powers behind bid and offer somehow counter balance each other near perfectly.
I think its most perfectly outlined by a lack of volume perhaps or a large drop comparatively from now to Mid March is when I last see larger amounts of volume.  If we have more action then presumably more imbalance occurs and so more price action and movement across resistance levels more probable.
1490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: May 19, 2023, 11:50:05 PM
The bias is towards reelection, for Biden not to be elected regardless of opinions its the summary and final vote count that matters so there has to be a larger consensus against the President standing for reelection.  All of that is precedent osbervely over a hundred years or more, people will reelect and mostly thats only negated by a recession because that does effect everyone so is a consensus against the president.
Again similar for Trump, he has a hundred year storm occur in the year of the election thats just tough luck.  I do imagine he'd still be in office if it werent for the harshest pullback in economy, in every part of society if it hadnt been for that.   Not that the President should really take the credit for a country just carrying on and working as per normal thats to the nations credit tbh, but like it or not they will suffer the blame if anything major goes wrong
1491  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%? on: May 19, 2023, 11:01:32 PM
80/20 is more lopsided in USA I think and probably a few different places, we should find a chart that compares inequality but its not rare because some will save and invest and some will just spend on the basis that they need things now.  For alot of people, their family is their investment literally the kids will look after their parents in old age and this is their pension of sorts in lots of countries the reliance on paper money isnt there they farm and turn over value in live stock, plantations etc.
That makes sense and doesn't make them poor exactly but on paper it doesn't compare well to the global reserve system all based around paper debt from mostly just an elite set of countries; it ain't fair basically.
1492  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: May 18, 2023, 11:59:18 PM
Demo account is still gambling imo just you arent risking anything either, its hard to say as it literally is a practice account but also its still the same game.    Some people say the same thing about gambling small amounts but its all relative to your own boundaries and personal limits.  I still count it as gambling, if you won 10x in a row would you ignore the win as not real because it wasnt for money.  I have to disagree the gambling works as a game even when you dont gamble big or even gamble money at all I believe thats important to keep as a core thing or possibly the entire game just turns into a circle of money and stressful tbh.
I think its even possible people learn more relieved of the money factor, just play and explore the game then add money and keep it as icing on the cake to every win or loss with your game, bets, etc.
1493  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wrong Predictions as price keep failing! on: May 18, 2023, 11:25:04 PM
Still too hard to say but today was negative with BTC unable to beat 12 hour average pricing even, it looks weak.  However thats short term and since YTD your friend would be most correct to state BTC has and remain positive, this is not lost or even obscured.     All thats happened so far is the froth blew off which could even be said to be a good thing for visibility and stability longer term.
In summary we remain sideways, today negative but not enough of a consistent direction in either direction for 2 months now just keeps resolving to a similar price as its been before.
1494  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Supercycle? on: May 17, 2023, 11:58:22 PM
Quote
Is it possible to have a bull run for the next couple of years?

Supercycle isnt 2 years just to clarify correct time frames.   2 years is still a speculative position, a gambit on a possible outcome where you might just sell it when the tide does not turn your way.   6 years is a business cycle, thats the minimum to be talking about a cycle I think.  Unless we consider seasons and farming commodities but commodity cycles are speculative, nobody knows when surplus or crop failure might occur exactly so by nature commodity trading has always been quite fast but still even those terms a supercycle is a decade or more.  (This decade to 2033 is a commodity ascending cycle I think, greater demand vs supply)
Really the correct frame of thinking for a supercyclic change is generational, what happens when an entire economy changes direction.  This is happening right now quite obviously Japan has a change in direction forced by demographics, lack of birth rate and rapidly declining working population.  More surprisingly for some perhaps China also has a falling working population, this doesnt have to matter today or next week its a small change but it is a tide change it cant be altered back easily and falling working population for sure will force alterations.  Because China is a giant in its size and because of exports influential in many other markets I maybe cant balance my business without that large cheap manufacturing from China, this 'lack of people' alters the whole world;  that is a super cycle.  Musk mentions it and maybe its much disagreed on.

The Japan QE story since 1990 is a super cycle, thats a heck of a long time but its relevant to all our economies over that entire duration and we replicated what Japan did so now its the story we are written into.  If we are writing in BTC in the eternal tomes of economic history its just a foot note some say in pencil ready to first be revised then erased so many in this larger context dismiss it.
1495  Economy / Economics / Re: Deposits-in the bank or in gold? on: May 17, 2023, 11:51:52 PM
The idea common to all 3 ideas is security and the hanging question is what happens when governments with too much debt have a crisis or lack ability to support themselves.  Currently they use inflation and money printing but that wont always work so then comes direct confiscation or orders to buy government debt no matter your personal wishes.    Unfortunately gold when owned in a vault is as vulnerable as paper money to being forced into this redirection to the greater good and to the savers detriment.
Bitcoin exists because QE is likely to fall over and be seen as failure, what happens when the taps are turned off on easy money and value is found lost.
1496  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin is not rising soon!. on: May 17, 2023, 10:03:21 PM
At the moment I think BTC could rise however the pullback is not harsh as it could be.  I expected perhaps the February peak as a low now to be a good place to reset and set a foothold for any rise, our recent lows were in line with the 200 week average but that by itself is not a support level especially its just an indicator in summary.
The Valentines day massacre point of 14th roughly was about 25234 where as I say there is lots of red after that which could be a point we now are finding in that it was accumulating higher volume then other points and still being important now in order books on exchanges etc.  If we take the ide of overshoot of any target then 24300 or so is where I see many weekly closing bars this year also last year and summere, which can be support found in amalgamation.
1497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc price preeiction on: May 17, 2023, 02:05:11 AM
40k this year I think is a fair modest estimate of upside vs all the possible negatives and certain volume that is in the way from prior years.  40k is more then double the lows so its very good performance imo and we could be less then that and still positive imo.  Nothing is for certain though so I dont know about 100k or even beating the prior ATH, it doesnt have to happen just because of expectations.  It still appears a very large figure to me personally and I was already impressed enough with the ability to move through 20k and every set of 10k higher gains from there just a repeat is enough for positive action imo I dont presume new highs.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: May 16, 2023, 11:12:15 PM
ChatGPT just enables features already possible, so people could already be using bots with Chess, with Poker and all sorts of ways to get an advantage.   To me what ChatGPT enables is ease of use and the speed at which people can deploy advanced features even if they are not especially tech aware or skilled.  I've no doubt this line of development in the economy will end up massive but I dont think immediately it expands what's already possible for people to do in Poker or similar, a good player will track how people have played their previous cards.
Probability theory is a big thing, thats something a machine would definitely use to try and indicate likely paths in a game for profit.  There is no certainty imo hence I think its capped.
1499  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: May 16, 2023, 10:05:43 PM
There was a casino scam done with lasers vs a roulette wheel.  It measured bias on which numbers best to bet on every turn, somehow they created a system that would put players into profit.  The players won so much the casino came over and recognized lasers were being used.    The players won millions so it actually went into a court case, the Judge decided no specific rule existed to say players may not use lasers on casino premises so he gave a court order for the winnings to be released to players despite their extra scientific help.
Maybe the judge thought it was good for science or academic endeavors, anyhow the casino lost but will have altered their rules and preconditions for play to include such genius inventions as gamesmanship outside of what they will ever allow as a win.
1500  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: May 15, 2023, 11:59:28 PM
Im lucky in that it does not effect everyone the same, if you are very outgoing and requiring to be in a crowded place with many people then clearly covid sucked for you in terms of not being able to safely do this.  I'm more the type who enjoys anyway the open spaces, not so many people or reading a book is fine and a luxury almost.  So when they said you must do these things, keep space and go slow to read a book not go out thats almost what I wanted to do anyway.  Its really damaging to an economy of course but I feel in 2020 it was far better then if it happened in the 90's when we didnt have the utility of distance buying and ordering like is possible for quite a few.
Longer term view I think it demonstrates the advantages of diversity and flexibility in an economy, dont rely on just one thing because the extremes can occur maybe only once a decade a great storm or pandemic like this but it is always possible we need the strength of many sectors in one nation to survive safely.
