1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Scam Tokens in the name of late Queen Elizabeth on: September 11, 2022, 08:44:14 AM

Even before, it's common and usual to see some sh*tty projects that uses famous brand name even they are not directly affiliated with it e.g movies, hype coin, name etc. Mostly turned out scam, slowly dies, or their respective development is now stopped leaving their investors and believers hanging in the air.

Above all of this, I can't imagined why there are people who still shows interests on this kind of projects even there are lots of worthy coins to choose in the market. Even experienced ones still got fall on this. It shows that many people still got easily carried by the hype regardless of the brand name.
1482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 11, 2022, 07:14:16 AM

What do you guys think about Ramirez claiming that this fight took so long to materialized because Bivol's camp is afraid with him.

Is it LOL or it makes sense? Might be true that there are hindrances but I think it's not about Bivol is afraid with him.

That's too much to think on their side. Smiley
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 10, 2022, 11:44:02 PM
But the question is, is GGG past his prime?  He may gotten older but we don't know if the added age has take away his prime condition.  So this match will show us if GGG had already affected by his age and have difficulty facing the younger Canelo.  Unless the "getting old stuff" is shown in the fight, we cannot conclude that GGG is too old to win against Canelo.  Well, there is the possibility but we have to see it to confirm if he is really past his prime.

The question if GGG is still in his prime will be subjective to any people. During his previous fight against Murata (that's also considered past his prime already), GGG struggles in the early rounds. GGG received lots of Murata's blow showing that his defense is not his usual as before. Unfortunately for Murata, even if he connects lots of punches straight to GGG, it's not enough to beat the future Hall of Famer*. GGG, later on, wins via TKO in round 9.

In this trilogy, Canelo is currently at his peak and no doubt,  red-hot in his prime. Way different from GGG's previous fight against Murata. GGG will surely struggle. Canelo laso has the purpose to finally end their saga now that's why I'm expecting him to be aggressive and will try to pulverize GGG in the early rounds if possible.

I'll just share what I've seen in a post from a basketball page that the coach that will replace Yeng for NLEX is going to be none other than Chot's son, Josh.
Well, the management isn't naming him yet due to the fact that he's still in the hot issue that the father and son have taken it. If this is going to be true, then everyone is already going to smell the connection between the two teams. So, we're going to have that sister team again and likely that these two would be open for trades and, might be just exclusive to them.

Regardless of who's the coach, NLEX will always be a farm team for TNT. They are sister teams alongside Meralco under the MVP group of companies.

There is already a series of exchanges happened between NLEX and TNT that involves a big fish.

The most notables are:

- Paul Erram from NLEX to TNT
- Mikey Williams (which Coach Yeng got surprised as he believes that this guy will play for NLEX)

In other words, even with how influential and reputable Coach Yeng is, he doesn't have the power to influence the trade for the sake of improving the NLEX roster according to his own will. It's better to leave NLEX out if he wants to continue his coaching career.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 10, 2022, 11:29:00 PM
True, doesn't make sense about the Davis-Lillard trade. Portland is rebuilding since last year and Lillard is still injured if my memory serves me right. But they are slowly getting pieces around him so that when he is available, then they might have another round of playoff with Dame. Davis is still the core of the Lakers, and with a new coach, he will definitely have a big role again together with Lebron.

Portland Trail Blazers is crap. There's no such thing as rebuilding as their purpose. They are just going into the flow. As for Lillard, there are many times already that he shows disappointment with the team but still, he will not break his loyalty. The Blazers are not even involved and doing some attempts in getting a big fish in the off-season or trying to surround Lillard with good role players.

I agree though that the Davis-Lillard trade is not likely possible. The Lakers won't do that and let's say if it will happen, it's either Davis who will be the one to ask for that trade or the Lakers ended up on that decision as they see Davis always got sidelined because of injuries. If I remember it right, during the off-season after the Bubble, LeBron James told Anthony Davis that he's the current man of the Lakers and should not go anywhere else.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 10, 2022, 11:22:13 PM
The one thing I noticed with any japanese boxer is that they respect their opponent.  They never underestimate them nor make fun of them.  I really like how these disciplined these japanese boxers are especially Inoue.  And the rematch of Donaire and Inoue shows how Inoue's camp can study and create a situational advantage for their boxer.  If nothing accidental stuff happen during the fight, I believe Inoue can surely win this fight.

Part of their culture since the beginning of their civilization. Not just having good traits but when it comes to any sports, they are seriously putting their heart even right from the training. They are even giving recognition and praise to their guest opponent after a fight. Well, if they are being trashed talk first, and they will respond to that.

Naoya Inoue is being always serious in his fight. He never underestimates anyone. That's a form of respect to them rather than to show not being too hard on their opponent. That was disrespectful to their opponent. In case of Butler loses this fight, it will be hard for him to accept the loss if he sees Inoue is just toying him and not being serious the whole fight.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who makes such predictions? on: September 10, 2022, 11:13:56 PM
I recently saw speculations about Luna Classic too. There are people claiming it could possibly reach $1. I don't see it happening, but I understand that the cause of such predictions varies (efforts to hype a coin, purely fictional, or an attempt to motivate holders).

Since it got hyped, LUNC is being speculated to reach $1. Their hypesters and diehard believers will always say positive predictions about that coin because they owned lots. Even without properly backed support for why it will reach $1, the hype is hype.

The same on other coins, predictions always come up either with proper analysis, just hype, just believing, just hope, etc.

If we will buy it or not, it's up to us.
1488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: September 10, 2022, 11:09:10 PM
From your points, I would say accumulation is the most important and the sensible thing to do. Invest what you can afford to lose during the bear market. Invest what you won't need in the future. Don't sell anything during the bear market. Keep holding until the bull market starts and you reach your desired profit goal.

Only those who sell during the bear market makes the loss. They look at the charts, they get disappointed, they panic, and then they end up selling. Most likely they sell because they invested what they "can't" afford to lose.

At some point, those who are selling in the bear market are not always losing.

They might be holding that coin for a long and seeing the expected possible profit is decreasing continuously, they cut it already and decide to sell.

In the first place, why sell at a much lower price than their entry price? I don't see any importance in doing that even for the purpose of minimizing the loss (depends on what coin/token).
1489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be true? on: September 10, 2022, 11:04:21 PM
Is it possible to invest 100$ in altcoin and turn to 7,000$? Have this ever happened to anyone on here? Is this even possible?.

Realistically, that is possible to happen. However, you need some "luck" and the right timing to choose that coin. Why luck? Because that is something unpredictable and regardless if that coin is having potential or not, once it got hyped, expect that the price of it will skyrocket.

The thing here is, don't expect that. It will just lead to being greedy as you might put decent money on a hyped coin and in return, the results might not favor you. Try to make the game smoothly and slowly but surely.

As long as you properly maintain your winning stats, it's not necessary to hope for an x50, x100, or x200 in an instant.

How should i diversify my crypto portfolio?

I feel like im gambling by going all in one crypto like ETH and the drops are hitting me very hard with its high volatility compared to BTC

You really need to do some tests before reaching the point that you are now satisfied with your plan.

If you feel your current plan is not working the way you want, challenge yourself to solve that issue with that plan. If by means you think you did everything well but still have no result, you need to extend your patience to work it out.

After several tests, consider switching strategies and change some coins on your portfolio.
1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 09, 2022, 03:31:39 PM
So both can still continue despite losing this fight although it is very important for each one to win and sell the rivalry that it take years for Canelo to accept the 3rd fight.

There's already a plan that both Canelo and GGG will do regardless of the result of this fight. If Canelo will win this trilogy, we can't conclude now that there will be no 4th meetup. On the other hand, if GGG won this fight, there might be a 4th meetup but that will take a lot of time again to materialize or maybe won't happen.

For now, let's watch how this fight will end up and see if a 4th meetup is possible whatever the results.

It's just about a week of waiting and the trilogy will now take place.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 08, 2022, 11:49:58 PM
I think Romeo is already healthy, we might see him in the next conference, and just imagine, SMB won the championship even without him, just think how good the SMB having a healthy Romeo. Also, if he is still not ready, there's no pressure on him as the current roster can still manage to win.

Even though the projected timeline of Terrence Romeo's return is 2 months after that last injury (June-August), I think he's still not in his 100% shape currently.

I don't see him playing until the mid-half of the upcoming conference.

Regardless, SMB is still a powerhouse team even if they extend the recovery period for Romeo. They can deploy him a few games remaining in the eliminations or go straight into the playoffs.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 08, 2022, 11:43:42 PM
What can be done for these types of addicts? Even if they had no phones. There are still so many enablers around in the form of free WIFI and internet cafes.

There are addicted gamblers that are still responsible outside gambling as far as I know.

Depending on the level of addiction, I think there's no need to be done if they seem responsible for other things.

If things are getting worst, the usual gambling treatment should take place. No need for these people to be treated in rehabilitation centers as a priority treatment but having a nice talk with the family or friends should be a good start.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 08, 2022, 11:39:22 PM
A rematch could happen with Bivol but Canelo's camp are just smart enough to build a hype before the rematch.

No, they are not building the hype. A rematch against Bivol is actually the next plan after that loss but Canelo's camp was advised that going straight to a rematch against Bivol will be risky for Canelo. That's why instead of pushing it, Canelo follow his timeline that he need to face GGG this year which is actually a plan prior Canelo vs Bivol fight.

If Canelo will lose this fight, and on other hand, Bivol also loses his upcoming match, therefore there will be changes.
1495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They have the team and good idea but they choose the wrong name on: September 08, 2022, 11:33:41 PM

Regardless of the name, once these coins were actually made a good trading volume and established a hype, there's money flowing on that. It's not that traders want that coin as in favorite, but since it seems to be worth playing there, they will consider listing that coin on their respective portfolios.

I prefer to also test the waters there but not because I like that specific coin.
1496  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 07, 2022, 07:41:03 PM
I think I made a mistake buying at $23,500 (obviously), so when should I really start to panic now that we dropped to $18K?

At what price point now should I consider to add more to average in at? Like, if you owned a bitcoin at $23,500, would you wait for $10K or 15K to start adding more to average in your high price of $23,500?

What you are seeing currently is a "paper loss", not unless you hit that sell button (on which not a good idea). No need to panic as you have no choice but to hold in the first place. Besides, reaching the $23,500 level or higher is realistic. You just need to maximize your patience though.

If planning for another entry, then just buy at the current rate or the moment you think it's a good buy. Waiting for $10,000 or $15,000 is not wrong though but are you willing to wait for that price before taking an action? Regret is really part of the game and you can't avoid doing a risky move.

There are lots of "what if" after you made an action that's why you really need to stand strong in your decision.

No one should decide for you what will be your next move but only, it's you.
1497  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and financial planning. on: September 07, 2022, 07:18:17 PM

These financial plan advise will be more effective if the person already experience the worst. It's not that I'm saying everyone should experience the worst but generally, not all can follow these advices since they don't understand yet being in a worst situation.

Worst experience is the key why some people become successful and become strong during their way up. It's now depend on that person if after experiencing worst during their financial planning, investment, trading activity or so, they will still have the courage to move on and do everything not to repeat the same mistakes or minimizes it.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 07, 2022, 06:58:03 PM
You're right about that impression because Mayweather is truly a businessman who views the industry as a business that's why he built his own promotional company to build an empire in the industry, he knew exactly that he's not the best boxer in his era even if he won't admit it and he just talk big to maintain the hype around him. Well, look at him now, he is already sleeping in cash.

To become a successful at the business field, he also needs to build a name first. He able to become successful because he worked for it. As a boxer, there is no doubt though that he's one of the great. He has the strength, power, speed, IQ (a win is win), good strategy etc.

Although some of his fights were seen as mostly cherry-picked by the majority, still for Mayweather Jr., a fight is a fight and what matter is, he should always have the biggest slice. Because Mayweather Jr. thinks that his name itself will always be the reason why a fight will be sold out regardless of his opponent, he always demand for a much more money in return.

He is no doubt having lots of critics but he don't care for that. He won't be called Money for nothing.

As you said, he is enjoying his retirement while sleeping in cash. That what matters to him.
1499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gala potential? on: September 07, 2022, 06:20:31 PM

There is no doubt that GALA is one of the promising projects that has a good potential.

However,"potential" is a big word and sometimes it's just a product of a speculative approach by their believers. Actually, there are lots of projects that has a potential but here in crypto, nothing can withstand the wrath of Bitcoin once it on bearish status.

Just follow GALA as much as you can and see how they were able to keep their momentum amid any market trend. Take note of their developments, current or future, if were properly done. Engage also on their community to see how they good they are communicating at their believers and see the opinions of other users there as well.

Make your own analysis about that "potential". We have different preferences and approach that's why our output won't be the same as yours.
1500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 07, 2022, 06:12:32 PM
To early to downplay how Butler perform on that fight and we should remember that he's a champion and already prove that he's a big opponent to every fighter he meet.

Even though Inoue is really strong and at his prime but still we can't deny the fact that he's still a human and he might drop on Butler if he plays cool and underestimate Butler on that fight.

He's a champion but for the majority, his belt was just an easy grab as he didn't have a chance to show his skills against the former title holder of his belt, John Riel Casimero although in fairness to him, it's not his fault why it didn't happened. On the other hand, knowing Inoue, he never underestimate his opponent and not playing cool during a fight. Regardless if Inoue is the favorite or underdog, he will always be serious against his opponents.

Kudos to Paul Butler for doing this. I cannot easily believe that he just signed this match-up. Is he too honorable or he's getting paid at least a million dollars in this fight or maybe both? But I am very happy that finally another undisputed championship is happening. Boxing is a little back to its glory days when champions should fight each other.

I remembered reading an article before about Paul Butler's future plan after winning the WBO Interim Bantamweight Title (which elevated to Full Champion). He's expecting a series of title defense first and never did he imagined yet facing Inoue. Like it's a dream. But look at now, there will be no title defense for him against other boxers and he will now go straight to Inoue. This will be the biggest fight of his career but sorry to say, he doesn't have the power to destroy Inoue.
