I felt that Canelo's words that he wants to end the great career of Golovkin are too disrespectful. Especially considering the fact that Canelo himself was beaten by Bivol and his career is also in question. Maybe this is just a statement to keep up the hype, but in my opinion the words were chosen incorrectly. Now if Golovkin wins, it's more likely that Canelo will be forced to retire, hehe.

No, they are not building the hype. A rematch against Bivol is actually the next plan after that loss but Canelo's camp was advised that going straight to a rematch against Bivol will be risky for Canelo. That's why instead of pushing it, Canelo follow his timeline that he need to face GGG this year which is actually a plan prior Canelo vs Bivol fight.

Yeah, this is my point. GGG must have beat Canelo when he was still in his prime not this time around (at least for me, this is what I'm thinking). Another "rematch"? I don't think that there will be any rematch, irrespective of the outcome. Even if by some miracle Canelo loses this fight, I don't think that he will be interested in another bout with Golovkin. He can always claim that now the score is 1-1-1 (although many of us don't agree with the scorecard from the previous two fights). In case Canelo is able to win, then there is simply no question of a rematch. The last thing I want is a controversial decision from the judges. If the fight is close and the judges show bias to either one of the boxers, then this debate will go on forever.

Before I watched the replay of GGG versus the young Japanese fighter Ryota Murata, I would not agree with you. However, watch the replay. Murata was doing body punches on GGG and he makes a face that makes it appear that he was very uncomfortable. This might be because GGG is an old man already. He cannot take the punches to the body anymore and who has more destructive punches on the body than Canelo?
