Yahoo62278, you have told something which no one ever thought. No one could have imagined what could be going on with you and also it shows that human being is helpless against nature.

I do hope you get better after your final surgery early next year.

What you have been going through is something that only you can feel and understand. Once you will be back to normal life and this phase of life is over, what changes will you want to make in life?  I am asking this because I know people who are in such situations knows the reality of life and their advice/words mean a lot as they speak from the heart.
1482  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) [solved] on: December 27, 2022, 07:04:41 PM

Reading what people say about mercatox, those who criticize say that they are taking advantage of people, keeping their money there without the right to withdraw. Those who defend her say she is very lazy.

Putting these two analyzes together, you deduce that you will only get what you want with this exchange if you react to its delay in some way, in chat, by email, or by reporting it. I also noticed that by email the solution was better than by chat.

My recommendation is not to put doge in mercatox until everything is resolved (they don't want to take the deposit). I thank the members of the bitcointalk forum who tried to help me in their own way, in the end I don't believe that your action really reached mercatox, but I thank you for your good intentions. As well as those who shared and reported mercatox with me on twitter and reddit.

Reading you case, i will still not trust mercatox even though your case was resolved. A good exchange will usually resolve the issues then and there and would not delay and frustrate their users.

I would say that you were lucky that you got your funds withdrawn from mercatox. Since this issue is now resolved, you may lock this thread.
1483  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to buy a big amount of USDT or BTC on: December 27, 2022, 06:48:40 PM
I'm a broker for a businessman who's looking to purchase $40M worth of either USDT or BTC and it's start cause there's another one in need of a large scale too.

Lol, i never thought that billionaires need to advertise on bitcointalk in order to get the deal done. Are OTC markets closed  Huh

Terms:

- Deal will be done in Dubai.
- Money can be transferred through a bank or cash in person in a public place but either way we will meetup and settle the deal up.
- A discount on the amount is a must.
- There's a commission for me from both sides the seller & the buyer, also willing to share commission to a broker but he must be the direct one of the seller.

* This is too serious and will be done asap if you are legit and looking for a smooth liquidation.

Yeah, you are too much serious in conducting this deal but your terms do not look serious at all.

By the way can we have proof that you have $40M with you and are they in the bank ?

1484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear And Bull Market? on: December 27, 2022, 06:00:18 PM
for investors bear market is the best opportunity to invest. but when it comes to profit. then we usually only expect to make a profit when the bull market comes. and our main focus in the bear market is to keep accumulating. because not much can be expected to profit in a bear market. unless we are traders who do scalping every day or take advantage of small increases and decreases. But I'm not very good at it. so I'm just focusing on buying in the bear market now.

if talking real difference between market bear and bull. in my opinion, of course the difference is in which dominant the price continues to rise (bull) or continue to fall (bear) within a certain period.

Apart from the differences which you mentioned, I will add that a bear market is usually longer and more painful while a bull market lasts for a relatively smaller time period, and it is an exciting period.

People say that we should accumulate in a bear market but usually, the bear market is so painful that retailers do not buy out of fear and miss this golden opportunity.

In a bull market, there is too much hype that people keep on buying and forgot to sell the coins for a profit.
1485  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ask about The Best Wallets for Bitcoin ? on: December 27, 2022, 04:52:09 PM
Which Bitcoin wallet is the best?

If you only need to store bitcoin, then Electrum wallet is the best in my opinion. I have installed desktop wallet on my laptop and it works perfectly.
When you need to choose a wallet, go for a software wallet plus make sure it is open source as well.

Electrum has a mobile version too. He already talked about it though he had emphasis on the desktop version but the mobile wallet is equally good.

I have used Electrum wallet on my mobile phone, but i do not like the mobile version of Electrum. Also, it does not have all the features which the desktop version possesses.
1486  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices in Germany - Tell me what you want to know on: December 26, 2022, 03:41:52 PM
We have the same issue here in Canada. You can say that compared to 2019 prices your grocery bill has doubled. Or very close. Those inflation numbers aren’t accurate because it works like this.

Say for example

Break went up 10%
Coffee went down 10%

According to that calculation it would mean inflation is 0%. And there are some items that haven’t changed in price like Bananas and that is also keeping inflation figures down. But in reality you are paying double for your food these days.

This situation is everywhere and there is no country where we do not see inflation. In some countries, it is more while in others it is less. The prices of commodities have increased a lot as compared to previous years and economic experts are saying that this is just the beginning. The situation may go severely bad in 2023 and beyond.

Every person is finding it difficult to meet his /her daily needs. People's wages are not increased as compared to the prices of food and other necessary items.
1487  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin survived the Christmas market pressure on: December 26, 2022, 03:09:11 PM
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
So i decided to start this short thread to speculate on BTC Christmas price cycles pull back, if you study Bitcoin market chart in 2017 the present Bitcoin price is the same, but in 2017 Bitcoin before the month of November 2017 was on a bullish market trend and some form of sell pressure hit the market during the Christmas holidays.
But this year, 2023 Bitcoin hard a strong resistant price level during the period of 20th to 25th which is Christmas most activities and time for family shopping and family spending where the banking system may pause a constraint to effective transactions and alternatives are sort after, Bitcoin and other digital assets become the order of the season which make Bitcoin price to pull back.
This year Bitcoin price is stabilized at around 16,000 + which is a good resistant level and a benchmark that represents previous years' bullish all-time high price.
Is this an indication of the bullish market in the year 2023 where Bitcoin will break 20,000 in the early weeks of the year?

I do not really understand this comparison. In 2021 bitcoin made the all time high and therefore we could expect the price to go down in December month or after the Christmas and holidays. The same thing happened in 2017 when bitcoin made the all-time high in December and prices were going down near the year end.

The situation in this year December 2022 is different. The bitcoin prices were already near the bottom and there was no further selling pressure that could dump the bitcoin price further down after Christmas.

I would say the opposite, and we can see it in the forum. For most people, the possibility of earning money is the main motive that drives them to gambling, with entertainment being a secondary factor. Those of us who seek entertainment because we are aware that it is a long term losing game, even if we sometimes come out with extra money, are in the minority. If we were in the majority, casinos would not be so profitable and there would not be so much movement on the forum in this section and with the gambling signature campaigns.
Yeah, I am not sure from where the thoughts of "enjoying the gambling" is coming but at some point everyone needs profit. Otherwise for every game that I would be betting on, I am actually filling up the pockets of owners. (No offence @freebitcoin).
I mean yes, I also play slots, roulette on various sites for fun but its not fun all the time if you are loosing lot of money. That would be crazy.

To overcome this debate, I think there is simple solution for this. Every bettor whether putting money for fun or investing to earn more should be balancing both the ways. Neither go too far to loose all of it and there should be a break between two big losses/profits.
@Flexystar there’s no right and wrong answer to this scenario, because some Freebitco user’s actually just gamble for the fun/thrill and don’t care about winning that much and these people have lots of cash hence they just gamble for fun. However on the other hand there’re gamblers who would only gamble there if they believed there’s a chance to win, and honestly both are right to gamble the way they like so I personally feel that we need to move on from this debate.
I can testify that not everyone who is rich gambles for fun only, there are people who are not rich at all and still gamble quite a lot as well, it's just fun after all. Why would I gamble the way I am gambling right now, and change it somehow and then focus on "making money" when I know for a fact that the house edge will make sure that I will lose all of it in the long run? So, I just use it for fun.

The best thing about here for me is that I do not really deposit much, just get my affiliate income and gamble it back to freebitco.in, they lose nothing, I lose nothing and we both profit from it. I sort of lose, meaning I could have withdrawn it, but it didn't come out of my pocket, just didn't get in my pocket that's it.

Gambling is both for the rich and the middle class people. I don't count poor people in gambling as they should stay away from gambling as the little money they have, they can end up with losing everything pretty quickly. Though at freebitco they can still earn free satoshi after every hour through captcha.

The difference is only that rich people may spend a lot of money on gambling while middle class income people group may still spend a similar time gambling, but they usually bet and gamble with lesser money.
1489  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: big project development, looking for investor/advertisers on: December 25, 2022, 06:08:18 PM
You better write a one-pager with a short idea about what's the project, how will it work, and why you think it's going to be a big project. If some investors find the idea is solid and there's a chance of flourishing the project in the future, they may decide to invest. It's not something they will reach you for just because you said it's going tom be a huge project. This is not how people look for investors of course. Bring the details to the table, I'm sure, you with an interesting ideas, will be able to reach the right guy. Otherwise, you will not be able to attract a single investor I think.

It is a big project because it will attract a big donation as it has been posted on the Project Development section of bitcointalk, which itself is big for a project  Grin Grin

I don't understand the mentality of the people who think that people are so dumb and will give money to the OP on his two-liners telling everyone that he is developing something big (in dreams ).

I would call it a big project to get a big investment to scam.
1490  Other / Meta / Re: AI writing messages on Bitcointalk.org on: December 25, 2022, 05:40:59 PM
Yeah, it uses information out there but if it collects all the data that has been published on the web, including posts on forums, articles from news websites, published pdf books, etc and then makes a serious analyze to develop itself, then I think that it will be able to even evolve from its own massive data.

Since this ChatGPT have all the data stored in its database from different sources already present on the internet, would it be possible that it may produce plagiarized content?
Have anyone checked the content produced by Chat GPT on plagiarism checker tools to confirm if it always produces a unique article?

It can use the past to predict the future and create tons of variations.

I don't think this chat GPT cannot predict the future because it has only data till 2021. For example, today I asked him who won the football world cup 2022, on which he has no clue because his database is only till 2021.

1491  Economy / Gambling / Re: OLE777 - Join Us For New And Exciting Promos! on: December 25, 2022, 05:09:58 PM
Welcome to the forum, I think that they should devise a better way to attract more players, they should give more guarantees to the players who want to enter and have a better experience, I think that one way to do it is by encouraging them with a good promotion where at least they give them credits to test games or have a good faucet to see how everything is on the site, of course it is my suggestion, because the site seems to me to be well structured, I don't see any flaws, it would also be great if they could show some record from some player who was able to make a withdrawal or something, what they need to do quickly is a good thing so they can be more competitive.

I totally agree with you, after all, a new site must carry out a promotion to be able to attract players to the site, the promotion must also be truly more attractive than promotions for other casino sites.
This way it will be able to create the impression that the casino is indeed worthy and good to follow.
Especially now that there are lots of trusted and popular online casino sites that already have advantages and loyal players in them.
In addition, the management must provide or prove the distinct advantages of the new site.

The promotions can be done in different ways. First is that they may think to start a signature campaign on this forum. This is an effective way to gain a lot of visitors to their site. However, this needs some budget which the gambling company needs to have if they want to initiate the Signature marketing campaign.

Another way to promote and gain users on their site is to start a feedback campaign where you give incentive gamblers to give certain free money on the site from which people can play and share their feedback.
1492  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: December 25, 2022, 03:57:53 PM
this KYC issue is something very sensitive and we have to take it very seriously, for example you talked about new casinos that ask for KYC and that can sell people's documents and that is the reason why people are skeptical of KYC, I I agree, but this is not the only serious part of it all, the biggest problem is that the casino owners are anonymous but they are asking for KYC, the error is not in the casinos, but the error is in the people or governments that created the KYC laws that they committed error of making casino owners remain anonymous but their customers are not anonymous

Well the problem is that there are not many good gambling sites which allow you to gamble without KYC. Those who do not demand KYC are mostly not so much trusted. So we have no option but to do the KYC.

Yes, if you do KYC at a trusted popular site, the chances are less that the gambling site may misuse your KYC documents or sell those documents for any illegal activity.

KYC was created to combat money laundering, so can a person create a casino and launder money? why do they only look at customers as the only ones who can launder money?

Money laundering is just an excuse the governments and gambling sites give to ask the gamblers perform the KYC.
Money laundering did exist even before online gambling exists and i don't think people will do money laundering by first wagering their deposits at the casino (and losing them).
1493  Economy / Services / Re: POKER COURSES FOR SALE on: December 24, 2022, 04:12:41 PM
After reading a few of his replies, he seems to be claiming that he's a successful poker player so this is going to be an easy thing for him if he wants to have a demo that he's got from those courses that he's got.
But his last reply was since July and then he's online last Nov. 12 so basically, he's still on this thread looking out for the replies of the others and this could reach him back whenever he's back to this thread even he's offline.
I hope he should have gotten what he's looking for since there had been so many replies from people that make everyone to be alert so know what they want and what they can get from all these. Selling a poker course should not be a problem here but the mist difficult part which is absurd is selling what is not rightly yours which is what many is kicking against.
There's over 200 plus reply in this thread already but many of them are not about the interest of buying the course. The only way to know if the op actually get some clients is by letting him confirm here or that person that bought his course post his feedback here. That should change the view of others and who knows, they might also be interested to try it out.

There is still a free trial to see if the op is really good at it. I think the op isn't selling a kind of e-book or pdf but he clearly mentioned that he was a coach so I expect that the lesson that we will be getting are delivered in real time. This is a proof that no stealing is involved in here.

Why are people not buying the course? Mainly because most of gamblers think they are experts in gambling and buying this course won't help.

Secondly, there is no feedback about the course. If anyone would have taken the course and shared the feedback, it would be much better for those who had doubt on the usefulness of the course.

Finally, OP is not active on the thread anymore so he might have abandoned this service or is not interested in selling this course.
1494  Economy / Reputation / Re: It sucks that 1xbit still runs on: December 24, 2022, 03:40:42 PM
Is there no effective legal action that can be taken on the 1xbit gambling platform instead of just telling people not to promote them? Is that all we can do? I am surprised this platform is still running till date.
One of the reasons 1Xbit is still on forums is because some users ignore warnings to stay away from this banned site. Users who advertise 1Xbit have been given a red trust which makes it difficult for them to enter other campaigns.
1Xbit will continue to run on this forum as long as there are users who are still greedy collecting Bitcoin fractions from Scam sites. Apart from the BTT forum, 1Xbit also allocates funds for the promotion of their website.

Well, the simple answer is that if you have money, you can sell the scam. Sad

They have the money to pay the signature participants and they have the money to advertise outside the forum too. With so much extensive advertisement, people can easily be convinced to deposit and play at 1xbit.

They are not ignorant of the scam accusations, the members who apply and participate in the campaign know and understand the consequences of joining 1xbit signature campaigns. Majority of the accounts are already have negative feedback, recently woken accounts, and member accounts with low quality posts which I suspect are part of a large farm.

I think that new accounts do not participate in this campaign if they knew that they would get a red trust on participation. Those new accounts who enroll are not aware of this.
Also, 1xbit accepts those negative accounts which got negative trust only by participating in 1xbit campaigns, hence once you participate in it, no one else will accept you (because of your trust) but you will keep working for 1xbit until they have their campaign running.

Dear crypto friends, I wish you a Merry Christmas and all the best  Cheesy
The truth is that this year was very difficult for all of us, but as experience teaches us, crypto died several times, but each time it came back even stronger and reached new heights.
That's why don't worry too much and don't watch crypto values on your mobile phone every moment, just relax and have fun and be ready for new, glorious crypto news next year  Grin
We are the winning team and everyone else is the loser, even though they don't know it yet  Grin
Good luck everyone!

This was really a tough year for crypto and the bitcoin prices were on a constant drop.

Below is the price chart for bitcoin for this year and we can see that price only moved in one direction(downwards) and never looked to bounce back up.

I wish 2023 will be a much better year for bitcoin and we may start moving in an upward direction after having the final accumulation between 16,000$ to 18,000$.

Wishing everyone a great year ahead!!!
1496  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk forum mobile app on: December 24, 2022, 02:10:35 PM
I'm more comfortable using bitcointalk using a desktop or laptop than a mobile phone device. I feel more like what I'm talking about here in the forum compared to the mobile device via browsing.

Why? don't you have a desktop or laptop? though, there is no problem if you use a mobile phone when you open bitcointalk. Oh, maybe you are referring to the Bitcointalk that can be downloaded from the play store or apps store because if you ask me, I don't think it's necessary. This browsing style is now better.

I also use bitcointalk on my laptop but that does not mean that it should not have an app. These days most of the popular sites have an mobile app and i wonder why bitcointalk have not thought on these things.

Yes, we can open any browser in mobile and login bitcointalk but still, there is a need for an app. An app is usually designed for mobile and it is actually optimized for mobile usage.

If ever there is any app for bitcointalk, i would more than happy to use it.   Smiley
1497  Other / Meta / Re: Request: New Local Board for Pakistan (Urdu) on: December 24, 2022, 07:51:44 AM
Looking at the bright side, everyone else are looking good and almost everyone is supporting the idea of having the local board for Pakistan people.

The reason why everyone including me is supporting this local board for Pakistan is that there is no drawback if they get a local board.
They are already very active in the local thread, so the local board will further boost their confidence.

I really don't see what the drawback or issue for the forum admins on not creating the board. Maybe they have to do a bit of programming to set up the board and assign a moderator for the board. Fail to understand the exact reason for delaying board creation???
1498  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I found a paper wallet on a beach ... seriously on: December 23, 2022, 11:53:04 PM
A friend of mine almost fell for this. He asked me and it sounded fishy but after a quick google check it was obvious this is a scam!

Glad police made this public as well.
Unfortunately, when people feel like they're getting their big break by stumbling upon a lot of money or "winning" a lot of money they tend to forget basic security measures. I've done it in the past, and I'm sure there's plenty of stories like this. Fortunately, I clocked on before losing anything, and I don't think I would've lost anything, but people that aren't quite as aware might easily fall for things like this.

In most cases, it may be the fault of the person owing bitcoin to lose his coins by not being serious in storing his private keys. Yes, people know that they must use hardware wallets, personal wallets and paper wallets to secure their wealth, but no one emphasizes them that storing and securing your keys is the most important thing after owing the wallet.

What a wonderful bunch of BS on that site:
Got to love how they say that other cold wallets are vulnerable to hackers because the keys are stored online. I can already see the billboards: Online cold storage solutions with hackable private key features. Who can say no to that?
At the same time, their answer is offline key storage, but there is a web-based app that is part of the mixture somehow.

I am just surprised on the people who keep their private keys on oline cloud-based solutions. Think for a moment, that you move your funds out of centralized wallets and keep them in your personal wallets, but you are still happy to store the keys in online centralized cloud solutions. How ridiculous is that? Roll Eyes
1499  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - #1 VIP Crypto Casino on: December 23, 2022, 01:22:24 PM
It would be a great New Year's present for all of us here, not only getting closer to $18K, but a start of yet another ascent of BTC to a new ATH.
Am not expecting BTC to reach a new ATH until the next halving event which is a long time away. I think BTC will creep back into the $25K - $30K range in the first half of 2023 for various positive reasons.

No historical data show that Bitcoin reached a new ATH when there's no halving occur, it always the halving giving to much hype on this coin that's why we see a series of pump and then a new record breaking ATH has been set. Maybe next year possibly we can see that since for provably many will think that this will be the start of recovery so maybe at that time the demand will increase for bitcoin if many will start to accumulate.

There is not only the hype but some fundamental changes in bitcoin after every halving, which cause the rise in bitcoin price. It is that after every halving, we see that the miner's rewards are half too which is why we see a surge in bitcoin prices.

Right now i don't see any good news which can create demand and push the bitcoin prices higher. We are surrounded by all negative news which includes restrictions on crypto and also centralized exchanges and platforms getting exposed and bankrupt. Once these negative events are finished, we can hope for some recovery in 2nd quarter of 2023, however gambling at Bitcasino will be entertaining no matter what is the bitcoin price.  Smiley
1500  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What do you think about trust wallet? on: December 21, 2022, 05:33:22 PM
Trust wallet is only keeping things balanced as it'll be bad to have all open source wallets in the market regarding the cloning or mimicking of wallets which led them to opt-in for closed source. ~ that someone downloaded the code of Bread wallet and worked a similar wallet and named it breadwallet and scammed people of their money.
This has always been a very weak excuse that closed source developers use to justify their shady behavior. Otherwise as Leo pointed out, it is very easy to create a fake wallet and fool newbies into downloading it. I'd argue that you don't even need to clone the UI because newbies who download these fake and malicious wallets only seek the "name". The scammer could clone the UI from an open source project (eg. Electrum) call it breadwallet 2.0 and then claim that they had reworked/improved the UI in the "new" version! The newbies would still fall for it.

I would not call it a drawback of open source wallets, but it is more of carelessness from the people who download the fake wallets.

To be very straightforward, if a person cannot detect a fake wallet and does not know from where to download an open source wallet, or how to verify it then I am afraid he deserves to lose his funds.

The scammer can clone or do whatever he wants to do, the crypto investors should first learn on how to stay away from phishing attempts.
