They've also got a decentralized market that's working but nobody uses it, even with everyone talking about OpenBazaar. It's baffling why nobody uses NXT it's a great crypto with ever more features it must be cursed or something I guess the controversial beginning can be one of the reasons. What is a silly thing as the fundraising was completely open, there were some rather big giveaways during the first stages of the testing and it was sold for a while for a few sats. Unfortunately everybody (including me) was occupied with collecting and dumping more and more shitcoins and taking part in the big BTC pump .

We can see exactly the same phenomenon every day dubbed as political correctness. IMO this is way to introduce the concept of "doublethink" and "newspeak" in the higher education. But maybe I'm just too pessimistic or I've jut read 1984 to many times .

Oh and it just dawned on me, if you look at the top left corner of the site the going rate of DPT is .008BTC. Again, not entirely clear if you can redeem DPT for BTC or if you just sit back and collect divs off of them.
Thanks! I've seen it. That rate seems to be a bit optimistic for me. On the DPT trading page the prices are much lower. I guess that was the last trade or something like that but it was the same before they completed the transfer. So I guess that rate is some sort of "leftover" from testing.

Use a couple of hundreds of dollars and bring the price to the moon Seriously, I followed Devcoin community and development for some time. The devs promised some much good features over the time and nothing happened. I think it is just another promise that will not be come... Perhaps this is the best idea . Development is slow, marketing is non-existent, services are scarce, exchange rates are something next to zero. Apart for speculation I don't see why should anyone go for it. I like the concept, and like the coin (I still have a couple of millions) but without real-life services it will slowly fade out of all exchanges.

As far as I know in a bull market prices should go up, what I see in the graphs that doesn't looks like that . Actually more like the opposite... with some spikes.

Smart move. They accepted the fact that bitcoin itself is quite regulation resistant, so they going to regulate businesses. As almost every second bitcoin/crypto business ends up as scam, I'm not against such kind of regulations. Not happy, but I recognize the necessity of such actions.

How and from where such conspiracies come in. Really fascinating Perhaps they are reading BTT. I've seen a lot of even more wild conspiracy theories here. You can also find a big bunch of such stuff on Reddit.

To be honest never heard about them until today. Anyway, good news for bitcoin. BTW they seems to have some IRL investors as well.

I second those opinions what points to the week marketing. NXT has far more unique features than most alts together, there are plenty of services, there is a great community... unfortunately outside of BTT and the NXT forums nobody heard about all of these goodies.

Babling about instamine is quite stupid thing as in that time there were very few ppl to mine and keep the blockchain running.

MD5 was known to be insecure since ages. I don't know if governments ever recommended it, but companies like Cisco never did since the late 90's.

Last I read, they didn't and requested other nations like India and Russia to help with the evacuations, and also requested their own citizens to contact the embassies of these countries. I am surprised they have the money to get warships in the area but not money to get their own people out of the country.
That's quite unusual from the US. Especially because of the States had a couple of warships in the area in that time.

Well that cult like stuff there was quite odd, indeed. Good luck with this.

Looks like a classical ponzi scam.

It is not that simple. Most of these migrants are from distant nations such as Ghana, Nigeria and Liberia. Once they get to Libya, they will destroy their passports and other identification documents. This is done to prevent deportation to their home nations. Now the only option is to send them back to Libya. Before the NATO invasion of Libya, that was being done, at a limited level. But after the NATO invasion, this option is not available anymore.
That makes things difficult indeed. Perhaps using the Australian model could be useful.

So... the US has I believe 10 Aircraft Carriers with possibly 4 in active engagement. That would mean 4 groups cost $26 million USD per day. Does the US even have that type of money or are they going to continue to increase their debt.
This cost is for the entire carrier strike group. (1 carrier with up to 70 aircraft, 1 cruiser and at least 2 destroyers or frigates) 10 fleet carriers and 9 smaller (but still about the size of a WW2 battleship) amphibious assault carriers. So they must pay some hefty running costs.

Thanks for these alternatives. I know and using CyanogenMod but wasn't aware of Replicant.

Perhaps you missed the "...or mass adoption" part. I'd be the most happy with that option.
