There is no way they burned through all the pre-order money, selling stuff at 5$/GH.
That gives them so much profit, they can refund one customer for every unit they deliver and still make a profit.
They went on selling units in March and April, for the same 5$/GH. They are expected to have more than enough funds to refund anyone who is entitled to it.

What do you want with a PDU anyway?
It is only of use when you have frequent brown/blackouts in your area.
You then need to hook up your router to a PDU too, otherwise it wont help.
Keep in mind some PDU prices are quoted without the battery.
Generally, a PDU is wasted money if your power grid doesnīt frequently fail.

It is 16 today and I have not heard from Spondoolies for the last two days.
I hope I should not get worried.
They have posted in the main thread. Apparently, tapeout for sp30 was already completed and everything is on schedule. My sp10s went online yesterday, so everyone should receive their groupbuy units soon.

Also regarding the extended hosting options come Summer:
Do you plan on offering a similar solution in WA / Iceland for sp10 customers?
I mean, the additional troubles for also hosting sp10s together with the sp30s should be minimal.

From earlier postings by the op Hosting : yes Access: not mentioned Coupons: not in this group buy Thank you for your answers. That is why i ask about the offer and gave the link, does anyone know wether coupons can be applied to that?

what on earth is "hashing density"?
The amount of hashing power you can fit in a specified form factor? Yes, e.g. 1,5TH/ 1,25U

@cryptx What is the status of the more than 250TH + compensation bitmine still owes us (since at least beginning of April)?
Will that be converted to chips or what is the current plan?

Bitmaintech groupbuy for 1.65$ per GH including shipping.... This is some price warfare!
|
|
|
How is $3000? Isn't it $3200?
I had to pay the shipping / free month first hosting cost at 190$ on top. Groupbuy prices include shipping. Therefore it is effectively 3000$ per unit.

Give them their time to think.
I am sure you will get compensated somehow.
I really hope so. However, they first gave me sp10s for 3000$, which only ship today. Well, it isnīt much of a compensation as everyone can now get their sp10s for 3000$, shipping tomorrow.

This sounds true. Older customers, should be honored and not pay more than the newcomers.
Yes, thats what i repeatedly told them. I dont know why they would effectively punish their most loyal customers but hey, itīs their business. As this doesnīt seem to happen, i think i might buy my additional power from Bitmain, as i still have 9 400$ vouchers from s1 units i ordered. That gives me 1TH for under 2000$ including shipping, which is better than what spondoolies can currently offer. Also, hosting costs for these are under 99$ per month.

If they are in breach of contract, just sue them.
Thats what i would do if my refund was to be late by only one day. I would call the lawyer on the next morning and make him prepare a case, quickly filing it at the relevant local authorities.
Once the lawsuit is in progress, Bitmine will face additional cost from both your lawyer and the legal system, as you are then entitled to damages resulting from the breach of contract, aswell as the legal costs.
After a few people doing that, they will happily refund everyone in time (or dig their own grave even deeper).

Same here.
I had a 5000$ sp10 and a 9000$ sp30 bundle order, the very first month. I am especially upset with the sp30 order, as shipping only 2 weeks later would have only cost me 4500$ or half the amount. (Also, i was one of the very first to believe in spondoolies and as a result i get a massive financial disadvantage)
After complaining to spondoolies about this, they offered me coupons for 3000$ sp10s.
Well, they ship today, however it isnīt such an advantage as everyone can now buy their sp10 at 3000$ shipping tomorrow.
This places me at a financial disadvantage to people buying later on, which is really counterintuitive.
Anyway, you can always wait a bit longer and sp10 prices should go down more, as half the production time in May isnīt sold yet.
Either spondoolies choose to not sell the residual production time of this month or they lower their prices further to increase their bottom line.
In my mind spondoolies are hurting themselves by this, as many people think "why buy now, when i can get it at a massively reduced price next month?" The really bad part is, that the reduced price is more than what you would have earned by mining with your expensive machine in the time you get it earlier. No manufacturer has done this to date.
The Bitmain model is much better, i believe. When they decrease prices, everyone with a previous order in the similar timeframe receives a coupon for the price difference. Even blackarrow has a better pricing policy: "All pre-orders are guaranteed to be protected against any price decrease. If at any time, during the pre-order period, we drop the price under what you have already paid, you will be compensated by receiving more X-3 mining machines. "

Okay, thank you, just like i suspected.
Basically, in one-two days units should be produced within one day/same day.

Sorry if this is covered (I don't want to go back through pages of posts), but a couple questions:
1. Do you accept BTC as payment, and if so, how much? 2. What is the noise level like? (Any YouTube videos?)
I'm interested in 2 to 4 but it depends on BTC price and noise level. I have to live with these things in close quarters, lol.
Yes you can pay with BTC at bitstamp's rate on the moment of paying. The noise level is around 70dB if I remember correctly. I'm not aware of any Youtube videos, but they are pretty loud. The rate is calculated by Bitpayīs Bitcoin Best Bid system and should give the buyer the best rate. Roadstress, please answer my question concerning "in-stock shipping"

1. BTC payment via Bitpay at the current exchange rate 2. louder than any other rig i know of, due to the small form factor. Dont get it if you cant put it somewhere you wont hear it. Hosting options are available though

Update: In-stock shipping!
What do you mean with in-stock shipping? Starting at the 16th they will be able to ship ~60 units a day? Or in stock shipping now? There cant possibly be in-stock shipping now, as i am still waiting on my 3rd May units.
