Please be very careful when playing slots on this site. Particularly hacksaw, no limit, netent, relax, truelab, spinza, blueguru games.

Most games from these providers have duplicate versions of these games with different RTP's. Depending which image for game you click, you get different RTP's. For Hacksaw, for example, it can be 88%, 92%, 94% or 96% RTP. (https://imgur.com/a/OmfV4G2 and  https://imgur.com/uIVt2jd ). After helping( as I was thinking) player on chat, mentioning he's playing 88% RTP version (https://imgur.com/8xsQdqs ) while there is exactly the same game with 96% RTP and posting relevant message in Discord #suggestions, in 1 hour I was banned from site and Discord.

Fact that these duplicate versions exist for months ( for NoLimit for over year) and after repeated polite suggestions that having 88% RTP slots while EVERY(?)other casino has only 96% versions is well below industry standards, leads me tend to ask if it's done on purpose (so players would loose really fast)? We are talking about most popular gaming slot providers in industry. I assume removing them don't need doctorate degree or more than 1h of work. Why it hasn't been done for many months? Players first? Right? The honesty is best policy? Even the TombstoneRip slot in the first page promoted isn't 96% version.

I have even prepared popcorn to watch big streamers face when he understands that he plays 88% RTP game. Of course it's their casino, their rules. Only you choose where to play.
It's sad you have been banned, I hope you have been able to withdraw your funds at least. Anyway I think it's bad for a casino to only offer the lowest RTP versions but I don't think it's unacceptable to offer several versions of the same slots, because sometimes you can get different features in the different versions of the game, for example the minimum stake can be smaller in some versions, or you can activate longer automatic spin sessions for example, sometimes the highest multipliers are bigger in lower RTP versions, etc

On the transfer of fund from  Bitcasino to Livecasino, I withdraw it first to my wallet then send it to another casino.  I believe there is no direct transfer for Bitcasino and livecasino.
I'm also doing the same thing but it's not easy to make such transferts in USDT without paying rather high fees. So which wallet are you using to make those transferts in USDT please? I was using the TRON network and Trust Wallet for withdrawing my USDTs and sending them to the other platforms till now, but an upgrade has occurred recently on this network/blockchain and now the fees are higher. So it would be nice for users if YOLO could allow withdrawals toward deposit addresses from other Yolo platforms (Sportsbet, Bitcasino, Livecasino, ...) for USDT at least.

1525  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ballet wallets on: February 23, 2023, 10:58:02 PM
I’ve been using ballet wallets. In conjunction with a ledger. I really like the ballet the best. Just looking for feedback
Ballet wallet can not really be considered a hardware wallet, it's more like collectibles item, and it is not secure enough to be good cold wallet, despite what developers are saying.
Someone else generated private keys and they know about them, so you need to trust them and everyone in manufacturing chain... that is a lot of weak points.
If you like card format for hardware wallets, there are better options you can explore, some of them are even open source.
No it's wrong, if you buy the PRO version, it's totally safe because they will only generate the encrypted private key from the BIP38 intermediate code you will generate with your passphrase and your own entropy before sending it to them. So they will never know your passphrase and won't be able to find it in any way. https://www.balletcrypto.org
Quote
The encrypted private key can only be decrypted by the user-created passphrase. This is a trustless, two-factor security design based on the Bitcoin BIP38 open-source standard. The process utilizes advanced cryptography but the complexity is hidden from the user. You only need to follow a few basic steps. First, create a passphrase and use an open-source software tool to generate a BIP38 intermediate code. Then send the intermediate code to us and we manufacture a wallet with an encrypted private key that can only be decrypted by the passphrase you used to generate the intermediate code. A BIP38 confirmation code is engraved on each wallet so you can cryptographically verify that the encrypted private key can actually be decrypted by your passphrase.

1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is easier to make bets on? on: February 23, 2023, 10:21:16 PM
Do sport like football betting and MMA betting carries the same risks or one is more profitable to bet on than the other? Which one is more likely to easily predict than the other? Also, I need a platform where football prediction is certain, is there any of you guys using any reliable platform?
No sport is more profitable than another one, people thinking that don't bet or are just newbie in sport betting. If one sport has outcomes more easily predictable than another one, odds on its outcomes more likely to happen will just be lower and odds on opposite outcomes will just be higher(if the cut is not big). While odds for less easily predictable event/sport will be tighter, near 2.00 for 1 vs 1 or home/away event.
1527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do i buy bitcoin to store on a usb on: February 23, 2023, 09:52:39 PM
You can use Electrum wallet (Portable version) but there is security risk and advice. Electrum team noted it at their Download page.

If you simply use an USB to store your wallet but plug it in an infected computer, that is terrible. Let's read that topic and use Tail OS.

How to Install Tails OS on USB flash drive for Wallet Purpose.

Last but not least, your USB can be broken technically and if you don't have other backups, you will lose your wallet, your bitcoin. Having other backups in other USBs are good but not enough. Better if you have other backup formats like paper.
Unfortunately a seed on a paper can be easily spotted as a seed from a crypto wallet by anyone finding a paper like that nowadays. And you can't be sure that no one will ever find it wherever you are hiding it. So it's better to use a seed with a passphrase, to encrypt your seed or to use a split seed when you do that. Hence your funds will stay safe if someone finds the paper but doesn't know the passphrase or has no other share of the split seed.

So, I got the free spins played them and not bad at all. Got like 66USDT out of them.  Smiley

I wanted to ask, what is the logic behind the fact that when I play free spins I have to convert the account into USDT but when I play with my own money, with bitcoin that I have deposited, I don't have to convert it? Just curious.
It's certainly because when they credit free spins on an user account they have to choose in which currency the free spins will be credited. It must be rather complicated to send a reward in several currencies and automatically forfeit all the others once the user claim one. In addition, cryptos are highly volatile, so it's certainly easier for their accountability to deal with stable coins. You prefer mbtcs over USDTs? At Livecasino USDT withdrawals are free unlike most casinos, you know.

1533  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BIP39 vs Electrum Mnemonic seed on: February 21, 2023, 02:00:13 PM
I don't agree with that, because here Electrum doesn't say at least that it's not a BIP39 seed. It just says it's a BIP39 seed using a wordlist unknown from them : "BIP 39 (unknown wordlist)".
One of the flaws with BIP39 is that it requires a known wordlist. Another flaw is that if you do not know the wordlist being used then you do not know whether or not what is being entered is a valid BIP39 seed phrase or whether it has a valid checksum. Electrum only displays "BIP39 (unknown wordlist)" if the user manually checks the "BIP39 seed" box. Electrum is assuming the user knows what kind of seed they are using. Electrum is not able to say "This is not a BIP39 seed" because it could very well be a BIP39 seed using a different wordlist.

This is not the fault of Electrum. It is the fault of BIP39, which Electrum is supporting as best as possible given these flaws.

Moreover BIP39 requires to issue a warning if the checksum is wrong, this message isn't a warning message and doesn't talk about the checksum.
As above. If you enter words from the common English BIP39 word list, then Electrum will indeed show you an invalid checksum warning. But if you enter words not on this wordlist, Electrum (or indeed, any software) is not able to tell you whether or not your checksum is invalid because it does not know the wordlist you are using. This is a flaw in BIP39, not Electrum.
There are certainly flaws in BIP39 but could you tell us how a 2 words seed could have an entropy between 128bits and 256 bits, with words encoding 11 bits each, as BIP39 is requiring? You don't need to know if a wordlist has been used and which one it could be, neither to compute a checksum when it's mathematically not possible to meet the basic requirements of BIP39. Then the software shouldn't say it's a BIP39 seed, but should undeceive the users if they think it is one. In the same way, you should avoid to tell in the Beginners & Help section that a 2 words seed could very well be a BIP39 seed using a different wordlist, because it's very misleading and dangerous, as the entropy would be critically low even if those words belong to 2 different languages.
1534  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BIP39 vs Electrum Mnemonic seed on: February 21, 2023, 12:33:29 AM
That's not a good behavior from Electrum, I would call that a bug.
It is not a bug, but rather intended behavior: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/6860
I don't agree with that, because here Electrum doesn't say at least that it's not a BIP39 seed. It just says it's a BIP39 seed using a wordlist unknown from them : "BIP 39 (unknown wordlist)".
While only 2 words are used, which can't encode an entropy between 128 and 256bits with 11bits words, in addition to carrying a critically low and dangerous entropy for a seed.

Quote
The mnemonic must encode entropy in a multiple of 32 bits. With more entropy security is improved but the sentence length increases. We refer to the initial entropy length as ENT. The allowed size of ENT is 128-256 bits.
[...]
these concatenated bits are split into groups of 11 bits, each encoding a number from 0-2047, serving as an index into a wordlist.
https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039.mediawiki

Moreover BIP39 requires to issue a warning if the checksum is wrong, this message isn't a warning message and doesn't talk about the checksum.

Quote
Although using a mnemonic not generated by the algorithm described in "Generating the mnemonic" section is possible, this is not advised and software must compute a checksum for the mnemonic sentence using a wordlist and issue a warning if it is invalid.

Guys, good news for those who like multiplier competition it's called ''Carnival Parade'' almost the same as the multiplier race
But this time there is a special game that can double your points there were 11 games that qualified for double points
Game list:
The Creepy Carnival, Zombie Carnival, Carnival Beauties, Dance Party, Cash-a-Cabana, Fruit Party, Fruit Party 2, Heart of Rio, Puebla Parade, Reels of Rio

Of course you can play other games but that will count as normal points optin and check here  Carnival Parade

This is not a good news for me because I’m in the bad streak on slot while the provider that has x2 double points is unknown for me. I notice this tournament a while ago and I notice that only top 10 have a reward unlike other tournaments that rewards up to top 20 or even more like crypto crunch.

I believe this promotion is good for those players that playing slots regularly. A pleb like me will never have a chance to secure a spot on this event. Maybe @saint-loup might compete on this since he is good on multiplier hunt same with @lionheart.
Thank you for naming me but actually I'm not sure I will try to compete further because I managed to reach a 352x multiplier at Puebla Parade which is supposed to give double points for the leaderboard according to the rules (I should get 704 points then) but those points don't seem to have been credited unfortunately.  Undecided
Has anyone else encountered the same issue btw?

Yes, it's been with me since last night too. But at least my bet from yesterday was paid out correctly. At least this seems to work.

Hopefully it will be repaired soon. I want to keep betting.  Cheesy
It's the same for me, the betting page is blank since yesterday but I have received winnings for the outcomes of yesterday. I can't see my current bets, my expired bets and any other bet. That's quite surprising to be honest because every other thing seem to be available and work correctly on my account.

And if you don't tell them what it is or where your encrypted seed is located, then how will they recover it after your death? Either you tell them your whole set up, in which case you are trusting them just like I trust my wife, or you don't tell them the set up, in which case you run the risk of them never being able to recover your coins.

If you don't have a family member you can trust, then there are trustless ways to set up inheritance, such as by using timelocked transactions. This is a better solution than giving out passwords in envelopes.
You just need to tell your wife where is located your encrypted seed, then she will be able to access your encrypted seed but not being able to decrypt it while your relatives will be able to access your password (if they unseal the envelope at least) but not being able to locate your encrypted seed.

AFAIK you can't spend anymore funds included in a timelocked transaction before its expiry date once your timelocked transaction has been mined. In addition, it implies to know at which date you will die. That's not convenient at all.

Leak it over the entire internet, as they've done with plenty of data in the past? Store it in plaintext, as they were caught doing with users' passwords for 14 years? Or maybe just shut down the service you are relying on, meaning your data is lost forever.
You can check the service from time to time before losing your memory or dying, if you are afraid of that.

Because she is not an idiot. If she is at risk of falling to such a low level scam, then so is everyone on this forum and nobody's bitcoin is safe. Not to mention that it would be significantly more difficult and time consuming for her to collect all the necessary back ups to start emptying various bitcoin wallets than it would be to log in to a fiat account and empty it out.
Yes I think nobody is safe with his Bitcoin funds, even you, because obviously other people than you have plain access to your funds. That's disappointing, but we have to admit that Bitcoin is risky for everybody.

You can simply encrypt your seed with a password (or use a split seed) and write this password in your will left at a notary
True, and that's a good system for someone who does not have anyone they can trust. But if you do have someone you can trust, you don't need to do this. It also doesn't help very much in the situation where I suffer memory problems but am still very much alive, which happens to literally millions of people a year, and can be a very long and complex process to gain access to the assets of someone who is still alive.
AFAIK most countries laws allow people to update and modify their will, so you would certainly be able to make a codicil and thus to read your own will, even if you have lost your memory actually.

Simulation for BTC1 bet:

EV = (83% x -BTC1) + (17% x BTC11) = +BTC1.04

Edit: calculation corrected, credit to Saint-loup

Correct, if the payout for correctly guessing the dice roll is x12 of your stake, while the odds of winning are 1 in 6, then the expected value can be calculated as follows:

EV = (1/6) * 12 - (5/6) * 1 = 1 - 5/6 = 1/6

The positive expected value suggests that over the long term, you would be expected to make a profit by taking this bet. However, in the short term, there is a high likelihood that you will lose your bet.
It's not the good EV calculation for me because x12 is usually used in the same way as @12.00 in decimal odds. For example at dice game or coin toss you say you are paid x2 if you win, you don't say you're paid x1. It means your stake back is usually included in the winnings while it's not a winning.
Then to get the EV of the game you need to do instead :
EV = (1/6) * 11 - (5/6) * 1 = 11/6 - 5/6 = 6/6 = 1

It means you will win $1 on average each time you bet $1 at this game. That's a +100% ROI.

If you want to include the stake in the calculations then it is :
EV = (1/6) * 12 - (6/6) * 1 = 2 - 1 = 1

Because you lose your stake every time you play and you get it back when you win, along with your winnings.
1540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BIP39 vs Electrum Mnemonic seed on: February 19, 2023, 11:16:03 AM
Electrum is unique, it's different from the BIP39 seed, in electrum I can create an address with a custom seed like " Sarah Azhari" and get the address "bc1quql5me288nquwhjr432wakq949quwszzg4h588", it's different on BIP39 wallet, when I write that custom seed, I received "Sarah not in the wordlist, did you mean arch?"

so, is it dangerous when still keep an address; "bc1quql5me288nquwhjr432wakq949quwszzg4h588"?. because it's not normally seed, or maybe safe if only keep the private key?.
That's not a good behavior from Electrum, I would call that a bug. Because it allows people to use non-BIP39 seeds while thinking they are using true BIP39 ones. It's dangerous for you to use a seed like that, because if Electrum fixes this bug in its next versions, you won't be able to access your funds anymore. You will need to find an older version able to run on your current environment, if you are able to remember it was a bug from a former version at least.
