1541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to detect scam token on Binance Smart Chain on: February 20, 2022, 03:27:39 PM
Look at tokenomics and top wallets first. You don't must be a programmer to smell something wrong from top addresses. If you see top wallets hold huge tokens, they can dump it when smart contract for locking those tokens expired. After vesting time, they can dump all tokens they have in such top addresses.

It is one of signals of something bad exclusively scam tokens. Even it's not a scam token,  it is still bad because huge dumps will bring price down to the hell in seconds.
1542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Journey of a successful trader on: February 19, 2022, 04:05:09 PM
Along the journey of a successful trader, painful experience with loss is unavoidable. If any successful trader says he or she has never gotten loss in trading, short term and long term, small and big enough, it is lie. I don't mind who is the person says it but it is definitely a lie and you should find another person to learn or listen to, not that one.

So to succeed, you must learn hard, practice carefully and because you must get loss, you should never all in your fund for any trade, any account. Let's allocate your capital to many pieces, many accounts and many rounds of tradings. With traders or investors, if you lose all capital, it's the end.
1543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to understand more about wallet security on: February 19, 2022, 03:49:18 PM
There are single signature or multi-signature wallets. Multi-signature wallets require a number of signatures to sign transaction and unlock fund in your wallet. You can use it to co-sign a transaction by a wallet in which you store fund, and some other empty wallets without fund but play as co-signers for your transactions.

Indeed, you should secure all of those wallets but multi-signature wallet help you in case one of your wallets are compromised. If the number of compromised wallets is not enough, transaction can not be processed.

Protect your keys is most important, no matter single-signature or multi-signature wallet you are using.
1544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Axie Infinity - A new Ethereum game similar to CryptoKitties [SPECIAL PRE-SALE] on: February 18, 2022, 03:10:47 PM
Some gamers may leave, but the loyal gamers will stay. Although SLP will be harder to get, the team may prepare to give another interesting program to the gamers. As long as the team members still develop this project, don't be worried about getting anything by playing the game in Axie Infinity. I guess they will make the gamers be easier in playing the game in Axie in the future. In addition, by getting SLP harder, SLP prices may increase. This is also good news for the gamers. When they get SLP, the value will be more expensive.
SLP had a shock and rose 5 times after the announcement. It rocked within a few days and I think it is just beginning, Axie Infinity will make deflationary plans for SLP so its price will sure recover and rise back to its all time high. Hold your SLP and wait for more seriously changes from Axie team.

it's a balance between amount of SLP farmed and price, should be ok to get less SLP if price is higher, but of course they need to add more sinks for SLP so it has more deflationary pressure to price than inflationary.
Axie Infinity make serious changes in their Play to Earn mode in order to balance their game economy and I agree with them. It will bring more challenge to new investors, gamers to get in, reach to break-even and get profit. However, for old and early gamers, they don't complain because indeed they got a lot of profit from this game already. I know not all of them have gotten rich with Axie because they would have earned a lot in early months of this game but they also very probably to sold their reward at very low price.

Anyway, balancing the game economy is good for growth of the project in long run.
1545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear vs Bull : The Beauty Of Cryptocurrency on: February 18, 2022, 09:26:29 AM
Bull and Bear are two sides of a coin, two sides of the market and the market can not exist without any of them.

You won't see bull market if you don't witness bear market. Without dumps, you won't see pumps. If you are in the market for long, you will witness both. You will experience from win to lose, happy to painful and many opposite experience as well as feeling.

Investment and trading are not easy but when you love it, you can not stop. I am sure if you love the market, you will have to witness both bull and bear times.
1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World Governments are Scared of the Popularity of Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 09:12:35 AM
Scare of Bitcoin or not, they will not be able to stop Bitcoin network and usages of Bitcoin. Bitcoin was created for people's freedom and after 13 years, it has achieved this mission. In coming years, it will become bigger and more accepted by people.

In addition, if governments can not stop Bitcoin now, they won't be able to do this next 10, 20 or 50 years. The bullish case for Bitcoin is a very comprehensive book to read.
1547  Other / Meta / Re: Using bpip.org as user's statistics. on: February 16, 2022, 08:16:41 AM
You can enjoy and use BPIP or Ninjastic.space now but because they are not official sites from the forum so they can be shutdown anytime. Even the forum can be shutdown as well.

1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Axie Infinity - A new Ethereum game similar to CryptoKitties [SPECIAL PRE-SALE] on: February 16, 2022, 05:20:25 AM
All these positive changes seem to favor the new investors who did not have played AXIE before. Many people were comfortable with PvE structure where they were easily getting 50 SLP daily without much effort. For this purpose, they had bought less powerful axie in cheap prices only to play adventure mode. Now, these low profile axie will be useless in the PvP mode and they won't be able to win any games in Arena mode.
This change in PvE mode will make Axie Infinity towards a more sustainable model that will help them to grow more in long run as well as keep their token price (AXS, especially SLP) quite well for a long time.

If they don't change and let PvE mode is a core of their game economy, price will be crashed more even SLP already crashed a lot for many months. We see, after that announcement, SLP rose steadily and gave profit for investors or speculators who bought it at bottom. Anyway, it is not most important effect from their change which aims at long run and more sustainable growth, not short term hyped recovery of SLP.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank and it ignorance on Bitcoin on: February 16, 2022, 04:17:46 AM
Central banks were against Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology years ago but now they have to accept it.

First, they accept to apply blockchain technology into central bank systems by creating CBDCs.
Second, they make allowance for Bitcoin exchanges via central bank systems, credit card, etc.
Lastly, they will make Bitcoin and cryptocurrency legal tender. We witnessed the first nation makes it, El Salvador.
More nations will follow them and I believe we will witness the Bitcoin legal tender expansion from small and medium to big nations.

1550  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Get average price of cryptocurrency for given timeframe on: February 16, 2022, 04:14:04 AM
I will just use this to identify my profits on a staking/P2E platform which I am able to earn their utility token. I want to know the price for a given time so I can compute if I already earning profits after my starting capital funds.

Sad to know that most of these are via API and could need some codes to be able to achieve it. I was looking for some ready-to-use tool like I will just input some numbers.
You can download data from coinmarketcap or coingecko and make some codes to calculate average prices in your investing time. If it is not Bitcoin or old altcoins, it does not take too much time for you to download price data in historical data tabs.

I think you are aiming at new tokens which launched recent months, not too old altcoins because you are saying about Play to Earn platforms.
1551  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a way to actually get to know the real price of Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2022, 03:08:41 PM
Bitcoin is a speculative asset so it's difficult to determine its real value. Fortunately, there are inputs to mine Bitcoin and you can use those inputs to estimate Bitcoin price.
ASIC cost
Electricity cost
Maintenance cost
Internet connection cost
etc.
Bitcoin has its intrinsic value and is not created from thin air.
1552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where comes and how exchanges gets the bitcoins that I buy? on: February 12, 2022, 07:16:53 AM
You can check the Bitcoin top 100 richest addresses and you will see some addresses from exchanges. They can be hot or cold wallet addresses.
https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

Because of hacks, exchanges have to separate their funds into hot and cold wallets. They have to use hot wallets to approve and process withdrawals from users and hot wallets must be topped off regularly. However, they don't store all their fund in hot wallets because when hacks happen, they will lose all exchange treasury.

Therefore, it comes to cold wallets for exchange treasuries. In addition, nowadays, exchanges use multi-signature wallets rather than single signature wallets so that if one of those wallets are hacked, it would be not enough to sign and execute transactions.
1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact on BTC price in case of a potential Russia-Ukraine war on: February 12, 2022, 04:13:06 AM
Everyone hates war, I hate it too. But these days everyone is talking about it  >:
It is good for Bitcoin in short term but I won't feel happy if a war occurs. Basically, Bitcoin has its long bull run and it does not need war to have bullish time. Its price will keep rising because of fiat inflation. Unstable economics, politics, wars are just some factors that can boost its price.

But such factors are not sustainable ones for Bitcoin growth. The real sustainable factors for Bitcoin growth are its technology and adoption.
1554  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 11, 2022, 11:53:53 AM
Bitcoin has always in its bull run since 2009. To support its bull run, governments release so many QEs, print so much more fiats in circulating supply. They combine together to create a perfect opportunity for Bitcoin to enlighten the crowd about the rotten fiat system globally.

Bitcoin has 21 million Bitcoin in total supply and no entity can change it. If it exist, survives, its price will always be in bull run.

Do you think Bitcoin will survive or will die? If you think it will survive, you should Long it.

The bullish case for Bitcoin
1555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance, led by Changpeng Zhao, is taking a $200 million stake in Forbes on: February 11, 2022, 11:00:45 AM
CZ knows how to take good opportunity and turn them to something profitable. Back in 2017 when Poloniex and Bittrex were the top exchanges I read they refused to list new projects and got customers worried then CZ came with Binance with focus on just altcoins. Today they are the biggest exchange and have acquired many other companies like Coinmarketcap.
I think CZ has something he is building that will bring more adoption to Bitcoin. With time we will understand why he is making all this move. If they can help bring in more authenticity to the industry and bring more adoption then it is okay. At last decentralized will win so any centralized plans they are building is not my concern.
Like CZ or don't like this guy. People have to admit the fact that CZ is very smart, ambitious, energetic and adaptive to trend. He made Binance in chaotic time in 2017 when Poloniex and Bittrex have troubles with scaling up for their infrastructures and with KYC. Binance stepped in and took over the leading position. Since that year, Binance has been only leader in crypto market. Many ideas, products from them change the crypto market and are models for other exchanges to follow.

However, things become  more challenging for Binance. Nowadays, many exchanges try to fight against Binance and if you want to list your tokens on their exchanges, they say no if your token is simply based on Binance Smart Chain
1556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kazakhstan proposes power price hikes and taxes targeting crypto miners on: February 10, 2022, 04:08:53 AM
Nice! This is also what I am thinking for such politicians, how sad that corruptions are everywhere, even how improved a country is, corruption is still there.
This is one of the downsides of it, on this side of decision or stand, they are owning and can do whatever they want especially abusing their power.
This is one of the biggest challenges for Bitcoin too, and for sure this is just beginning, other countries will appreciate really use of Bitcoin and will support it especially the miners.
When a degradation occurs, there will be opportunities for others to rise. Governments create bank bail-outs, inflation from which we have Bitcoin genesis block more than one decade ago.

If anyone missed the moment in 2009, me too. Let's read the Bitcoin wiki: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Genesis_block
The message from Satoshi Nakamoto is
Quote
The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
Now, since the pandemic in 2020, we have been witnessing another bailout of banks. In this bailout, it happens globally, not only in the US.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Choosing a blockchain for blockchain game NFTs on: February 10, 2022, 02:17:50 AM
NFT games are unsustainable if they provides too high ROIs and if they only have Play To Earn P2E mode. Developer teams can mint billions of token for reward pool but what will happen after all reward pool is used? Minting more and resulting in inflation in total supply, it's terrible action.

So despite of some attractive things on the tip of iceberg such as high ROIs, high speculation, attractive game designs, etc. if those NFT games have unsustainable finance model, they will be broken. Just a matter of time when their projects will fail and when their tokens will lose dramatically in value.
1558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thief on Bitfinex exchange caught? on: February 09, 2022, 10:58:07 AM
Caught or not, compensate to users or not, it does not have effects on Bitcoin in the long run. Because the times when exchanges store all or most of their capital in hot wallets which are more vulnerable to hacks has gone away years ago.

Nowadays, crypto exchanges have better strategies and infrastructures to deal against hacks, compromise, fund stealing. Hackers can successfully hack and steal some fund but not enough to crack down any good exchange.

Also good exchanges do have enough reserved fund to compensate users and sacrifice their earnings from trading fees during few months. It's unofficially help them to build up reputation and in long run will help them to get more customers, then more income.
1559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kazakhstan proposes power price hikes and taxes targeting crypto miners on: February 09, 2022, 10:54:07 AM
Such things are temporay. China temporarily crack down Bitcoin mining because in the nation, there is energy crisis and government have to prioritize their whole nation first.

However, have you read the unofficial report, leak on Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and their shady activities to attack crypto exchanges, hacks, compromises etc. in order to steal crypto currency for their nuclear power and weapon program.

Kazakhstan and other nations will make Bitcoin legal tender, sooner or later and not only allow Bitcoin mining.
1560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: February 08, 2022, 07:24:41 AM
There are those investors that are not confident of themselves. They have to sell lower than the price they've bought the coin. But the idea is always to sell higher than the price you've bought any token.

And do that, remove the greediness in your thinking. Because if you're still greedy and don't want to take profit at the current price because you want it higher.

Remember those times that you should have sold but the price started to drop.
In order to buy low, sell high, they need to have multiple things
- Confidence for their investment decisions and positions
- Comprehensive understanding on psychology of the market, a psychological cycle of market, I meant
- Data on Fear and Greed of the market. Without it, they don't know how fear or greed the current market is. Fortunately, they can check Fear and Greed index of Bitcoin market: https://www.lookintobitcoin.com/charts/bitcoin-fear-and-greed-index/

Now, it's time to apply it.
- If they have yet bought Bitcoin, but the index is greed, extremely greed, they should stay outside
- If they have bought Bitcoin already, and the index is greed, extremely greed, it's time to take profit
- If they have yet bought Bitcoin, and the index is fearful, extremely fearful, it's good or perfect time to buy
