1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2023 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: March 01, 2023, 01:38:23 AM
Making a good reference between the subject of this topic (Brasileirão 2023) and the area it is in (Gambling)....
I discovered today that only two teams in this championship are not sponsored by bookmakers... Palmeiras (current champion) and Cuiabá.

Among the best sponsorships in this niche, we have Betano sponsoring Atlético-MG and Fluminense, there is also Sportsbet.io which sponsors São Paulo, Betfair which recently signed a contract with Cruzeiro... in addition to others such as Pixbet, Betcris , Dafabet, Blaze, Galera.bet, Estrelabet and Pix365bet sponsoring the other teams.

Gambling companies are still on the rise, sponsoring campaigns ranging from BitcoinTalk subscriptions to football teams... a lot of money involved and being invested Cool
1542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos lack slot clubs; comps, is it hard to achieve? on: March 01, 2023, 01:30:07 AM
Do you think online casinos should step up and offer items to consistent low rollers in their platform?

I think this is a marketing and return strategy.
Why would they invest money in a game player eventually? Most likely it will not give the return that the casino deserves.

I support the fact that they need to recognize the players who really invest their money and time in the casino, in order to keep the already loyal players always interested in staying on the site, because if there are no such rewards, then it is very likely that it will to another website.

As for occasional players, I believe that even if he receives some reward, he will still be an occasional player, who has low activity and will hardly generate a return to the casino.
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Loses $400K Bitcoin Bet on Jake Paul’s Bout on: March 01, 2023, 01:24:34 AM
Another huge loss become public.
it seems that the famous Canadian singer has made a bet on Jake Paul that turned to be wrong Sad
400K USD has been wasted. It seems isn't the first time some public bets result in a loss ...

here more details:
https://news.bitcoin.com/rap-star-drake-loses-400000-bitcoin-bet-on-jake-paul-in-split-decision-loss-to-tommy-fury/

what lessons can be learned by this event?

I don't understand how someone "manages" to spend so much money on a single bet.
In fact... I do understand, because who never had money to spare and in a moment of madness decided to bet 1k or more? For Drake, this value is the same proportion as for us who are poor and "mortal".

In any case, I'm sure Drake must have been very dissatisfied with Paul's performance and that vacation probably won't happen.

What can we learn?
What we already know... everyone loses money on bets.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Neither Good or Bad on: March 01, 2023, 01:19:05 AM
William Shakespear said,  'there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so. The nature of things is neutral and it is our perception and thinking that gives them a positive or negative meaning. In the same vein I say, there is nothing either good or bad with gambling, but our actions and inactions make it so. People who gamble their entire savings and have the guts and shamelessness to come online and say "Gambling is Bad. Stay away from it" must understand that gambling itself is neither good nor bad, but our actions and behaviors surrounding it determine whether it is beneficial or detrimental.

Gambling has existed since the dawn of civilizations. The term chance is used as a synonym for random, that is, an event that can be partially or totally dictated by chance. By definition, gambling involves betting, which means investing an asset or financial value in predicting a future event, for which the outcome does not depend on the actions of the bettor.

The players' experience and skill have their roles limited by chance, which always participates in this type in variable proportions, from partial in cards, for example, to absolute as in slot machines. This makes gambling exciting and alienating, but really... it is not possible to blame gambling for the losses or addictions that players acquire.

Unfortunately, people who suffer from Gambling Disorder claim that the losses go beyond the financial area, interfering in their personal life (failing to carry out other activities), professional (productivity tends to drop) and family life (making the "foundations " of the family are shaken).

1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 25, 2023, 01:39:27 AM
Mercedes already said that they are far behind of RB and Ferrari, there are hopeful fans out there who think that Mercedes could be hiding some power and all that, but the reality is that Mercedes is just that much slower. Toto already said that they are working on the next upgrade, not that the will be this bad all season, just like last season they will get closer to the top, they have more road to cover so they will have a bigger improvement and maybe even win a race or two by the end, but at the start of the season I do not expect Mercedes to have any good results, they really looked awful so far.

In the presentation of the W14, Mercedes followed its "tradition" of promising little in order for those who know how to deliver a lot, a mentality that has always been present in the German team, and Mercedes' objective is to minimize the pressure on its drivers in order to allow that your entire team can work in peace to deliver the best racing results.
As far as I remember, Mercedes were never very bold in their promises even when they clearly had the best car in F1.
I honestly think her attitude is magnificent.

Obviously, after a 2022 marked by frustrations with the W13, the tone adopted in the launch of the W14 seemed a little different from the norm, with a much greater sense of caution, which helped to reinforce the rumors that the 2023 performance will not be as good like that.

But even so, I believe that Mercedes are bluffing and that they should surprise us this season.
1550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: it will definetly save you on: February 25, 2023, 01:33:09 AM
I agree with the part that says you should stop when you win, this rule is very important and effective and so many people have lost the earlier winning trying to cash the bigger fish.
I for once have lost on many occasions even though my first try was a win, I feel the urge to risk more and higher wager level but in the end, I lost all or in some cases I win a little after several losses thereby putting my balance under minus.
But I believe not everyone has the same experience we can still have some other player that keeps continuously even though it is not passively.

Good bettors know that when you lose a lot of money, it's time to stop and rethink your strategies, and often the best way is to come back the next day.

Great bettors, on the other hand, know that when you win a lot of money it's time to stop immediately, be satisfied with the profit made and not be greedy. Because all the systems want is for you to quickly return the profits you made.

For the second option, it is best that half or more of the winnings are reserved for withdrawal or bets the next day.
It is also interesting that when having a big win, the player switches to another style of game and, if possible, even to another site.

You have to know how to win, lose, and stop when that happens.
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you keep your gambling habit under control? on: February 25, 2023, 01:27:33 AM
Seeing how many people who are problem gamblers today did not have the intention of becoming gamblers who lack self control but somehow they are now gamblers who cannot control themselves, It means that everyone is at the danger of become such if it is not put in check.

How do you keep your gambling habit in check such that becoming addicted and out of control is something that never happens?

(share your strategy for others to benefit from)

Like any habit that has a high chance of becoming an addiction, you need to dose the amount, and I do this in two ways:

First: I define a maximum amount of value that I will spend in the month.
I don't have a fixed amount, but at the beginning of each month I set an amount based on my savings, "leftovers" that I had in the previous month and forecasts of expenses that I will have for the current month.
So... I always pay my bills first, put a little in savings, a little more in the cold-wallet and then reserve the rest for gambling spending.
I never exceed that amount.

Second: Game time.
It's no use having a good budget if I spend it all in a single day, so I limit my betting amounts and time spent playing during each week.

Usually the money runs out before the end of the month, and the temptation to contribute more money is quite distressing, but I keep on overcoming the addiction.

1553  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Quando a renda fixa não é tão fixa assim on: February 24, 2023, 01:48:31 AM

1554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: February 24, 2023, 01:41:51 AM
Well, I believe everyone knows about the changes that will occur in the next world cup.

Regarding the participating countries, do you believe that the insertion of more teams could increase the level of the next world cup? Or is this something irrelevant?
What's your opinion guys?

Honestly.... analyze the numbers well:
There will be 48 different teams/countries to dispute a single cup, the others leave "with nothing", it will be absurd 80 games to be played in 32 days (more than a month) and an almost incalculable income of more than U$ 6 billion. These will probably be the new World Cup numbers from 2026 onwards, numbers that in my opinion indicate extreme greed and politics on the part of FIFA and those involved.

The increase to 48 teams simply means that we will have more weak or average teams competing in a competition that should only bring together the best from each continent.

In my opinion, the pre-selections for the World Cup should gain more prominence and monitoring by Fifa, instead of increasing the number of teams in the main world football tournament that we have.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 24, 2023, 01:30:25 AM

this is the bad side of sportsbetting in which while many gambling games does not support this yet in sports it is possible.
let us not  support them instead gamble at our own risk to maintain the fun and thrill.in which the essence of gambling in my own belief and understanding.
Incidents like match-fixing are common in sports betting but it remain under wraps as there is no evidence of those incidents. But for the average gambler, this is not a big obstacle. There are no major obstacles if you can manage your betting according to your own risk. Gambling can be enjoyed only as a center of entertainment rather than as a major source of income. If one can do sports betting by ignoring all kinds of negative aspects then he can enjoy the real pleasure of gambling.

I'm sure that the most affected by a betting fraud are always the websites, because the frauds that involve the co-participation of players always lead the game to have a result that "goes a long way" from what was expected for a normal game situation.

Sites pay their rewards based on these "standards" of what would be the expected result, and so when fraud occurs, they end up having to pay a much higher amount, in addition to being an undignified payment.

Players also end up being penalized for fraud, as the results are not what they expected, but they lose a much smaller amount compared to the site's losses.

Podem me sugerir perguntas. To sem ideias kkk

A principio achei bem fraco, principalmente as referencias e sites sugeridos.

1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 23, 2023, 12:27:29 AM
It has been mentioned even in some reliable media if kante is very very close to extend his contract with chelsea. Im so glad that chelsea was not letting him to go out from the club caused by he was a very important asset for chelsea. Kante's contribution is a lot for the club since he was coming to the chelsea. Kante has been winning so many trophies with chelsea too.

Chelsea streamlined their work a lot in this transfer window, as he did not have an interesting level in their "cast" and the injuries of some important players were also a concern.

Fortunately, Kanté is returning to training after the serious injury he suffered and even with his contract ending in June, it's practically certain (as far as I've read too) that he will renew it.
The player, in fact, has the possibility of signing a pre-contract with any club in the world, being able to leave for free at the end of his contract with Chelsea, but it seems to me that this is not what he wants.

I feared that the strong rumors about Chelsea not being interested in renewing Kanté, due to the fact that there had been some disagreements in the negotiations, such as mainly the time of the new contract, in which they did not want a very long contract, due to the injuries that the midfielder had over those years.

But apparently everything is resolved and good news should be officially announced soon.
1560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Ways to Make Big Money at the Casino — Without Gambling on: February 23, 2023, 12:21:09 AM
Now, in all of the Five, which of this do you think is the funniest and most interesting?

I had never thought about these possibilities, in fact, although risky, some seem to be much easier to win money than with the traditional method of betting.

I only disagree with the fourth method, unfortunately what we see most is casinos getting away with the lawsuits that are filed against them, it is rare to see a person win the lawsuit against a casino.

I haven't found the source, but a long time ago I read a news article about another "ingenious" way to earn money....
A slot machine manufacturer once used his unique knowledge to follow a certain betting pattern and almost always win the machine, the method even involved "non-communication" with the casino system that something was "out of the ordinary". .
I just have no idea what he did afterwards to exchange the chips he won.
