A terrible result for bilbao team yesterday because of the loss 2 0 to osasuna they lost the european spot to them and now they are on the eight position, the game was equal and the score does not reflect how the game went so bilbao strikers are partely to blame since they wasted many opportunities.
Osasuna got the european spot of Athletic Bilbao after winning with 2 goals to 0 vs them which is interesting. BTW Osasuna remaining games are easier than Bilbao so the actual standings might remain.
Real Madrid got the second spot from ATM after the draw of ATM vs Espanyol. That draw didn't help either of the teams since Espanyol are still in the relegation zone.

The draw of Brighton vs Manchester City was good especially for Brighton that did resisted City and get a one point letting them secure the last spot for Europa League group stage.
This is the first time for them qualifying to Europa League and they do deserve that after the good season they have.
This season comes with Arsenal return to top positions, Newcastle to UCL, Brighton to EL, Liverpool dropping from top four, the failure of Spurs (quite normal BTW) and the disappearance of Chelsea. Well Spurs still have a chance to play Conference League..

I saw on the news about Roma today that it's not just about Dybala they are worried about the game against Sevilla, Georginio Wijnaldum is also injured and there is a chance for him to miss the final match.
We know Mourinho is an experienced coach and he knows how to handle this great match but the absence of these two players can definitely damage the team.
Roma is a team that you can't rely on its stability and performance in normal days and easy games, any one can imagine how things will do with the combination of playing vs the classic winner of Europa League in person (Sevilla) without the full squad. That might end bad for them. The problem is that Sevilla qualified for the final game even though they don't have a great season in La Liga

Fingers crossed for an unlikely Chelsea win tonight at Man Utd to keep LFC’s anorexic CL qualification hopes alive. A draw for Man Utd confirms their place in next seasons CL. I actually think they’ll win, Chelsea are terrible, one of the biggest failures of the season when you consider what they have spent on players.
Chelsea is considered as a wrong investment. The boys betting on its victory have less than one third chance to win. Much spending with nothing in return. They will not play any interesting competition apart from EPL.
It is pity to see Liverpool's hope to play in Champions League next season rely on Chelsea. Even Fulham could kill the hope of Liverpool later.
I think Manchester United will win today and secure the last UCL spot.

Lens dropped to Ligue 2 by the end of 2014 - 2015 season then returned to Ligue 1 in 2020 - 2021 season, ended up in the 7th place twice and in this season they are impressing everyone by their performance passing old classic teams like Marseille, Lille, Monaco and Lyon.
They played well and deserve a chance to play in an European competitions, namely Champions League. They guaranteed that by the way and rest to know if they go directly to the group stage which will most likely happen after this round or whether they will lose twice and go to the qualification for Champions League which will be left for Marseille tho.

Inter Milan won the Copa Italia. Fiorentino's quick goal did not discourage the Inter players. The team showed that they are ready for the battle with Manchester City. Inter are in very good shape at the moment and they will not be an easy opponent for City. Predicting the winner of the Champions League 23 is very difficult. But I can say one thing, this final will be amazing.
Inter Milan did improved a lot in the previous weeks compared to months ago despite the last defeat against Napoli. Their victory vs Fiorentina was important especially as a final game in Coppa Italia. They won something before the final match in Champions League which will be difficult. I don't know if they are ready to face Manchester City yet, since they lost vs Napoli which is way better than Fiorentina and City are above them all in my opinion.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 24, 2023, 06:34:34 PM
They had come close to the trophy a few times before, but Chelsea had beaten them and won the trophy. This year, they took the revenge of the year they were eliminated by Real Madrid. Now they've reached the finals again and it's time to win the UCL trophy they've never won before. I think they will play very well and easily beat Inter in the final and become champions.
I find Manchester City this year very powerful whether tactically or in terms of players quality and performance but also top management. I am afraid that if they fail this year to have the Champions League title then I don't see them getting it done any time soon.
Inter is very unstable and fluctuating, could not be compared to Manchester City, yet unpredictable and annoying. I want to see City winning the title personally.

Jordi Alba has announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season after an excellent career at Barcelona. Barcelona will be looking for a new left-back after many years. After Abidal, Alba dominated the left-back. Now they need to find a very good player there again. I love such stable players. They give their all for the club. Thanks for all you've done so far, Alba.
He is the last old school players in Barcelona along with Sergio Busquets that will leave the club letting it in the hands of the new generation that doesn't disappoint so far. Barcelona will have other players that will have to move so the club might see some big changes.

Real Madrid 1 - 0 Rayo Vallecano. AFAIK Vinicius Junior red card was revoked but I don't see him in the starting eleven nor among substitutes.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 24, 2023, 06:18:27 PM
Pep Guardiola knows what he needs to do what is certain is that he will prioritize important matches whereas in the Premier League they are champions
I won't be surprised if they draw today or play with the second player because basically this fight is not important, Brighton might have a great chance to win today.

I just checked the line up, it turned out that Manchester City played the main squad, I didn't understand what Pep strategy.
Manchester City will play its Champions League final game in June 10, so two weeks from now which means that Guardiola might give his regular players time to play in this match.
The game vs Brighton is challenging for him so I doubt he will let it go from him. I think City will try to win it even though they secured the EPL title this season.

Fresh rumor.

Allegri will be probably sacked, who will be the new coach of Juventus?
Allegri failed in the other competitions but Juve is the 2nd in Serie A technically.. I agree that he failed in many easy opportunities that's why people are expecting his departure but who knows.
I read in many sources that Cristiano Giuntioli will be assigned as a manager in Juventus but it is not sure if he will cooperate or not with Allegri.
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 23, 2023, 09:44:07 PM
But they recently got 15 points back after they were taken away. The same situation could probably happen again. It would be doubly ridiculous if, for example, Milan stayed in the Champions League zone but Juventus got those 10 points back. Then the assholes will be on fire.
[/quote]
Yeah that's what I am talking about. Remove points then reverse the decision then apply another sanction and wait to see if it could be reversed or not, will make Serie A a joke for real.
BTW what will be in fire is the brain of the supporters of Juventus. Flip flop between being in and out of Champions League..
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 23, 2023, 09:38:38 PM
It looks like Barcelona have lost a lot of concentration after they won the La Liga title recently. In fact betting on Barcelona's win in the last few matches is very risky because I think they are no longer as serious as before in the remaining matches of the season. At this time Barcelona had conceded an own goal by Andreas Christensen at the start of the first half, but Barcelona dominated the game.
What's the point of dominating the game while the team is 3 goals behind Valladolid without scoring anything.
Valladolid used correctly their opportunities and Barcelona wasted it. I believe barce play without the positive stress of fighting for La Liga title since they already secured it. Yet, it is shameful to see them lose badly that way. There is still 10 minutes left in the game but I don't expect much from them.

Breaking News!

Juventus again received a 10 point deduction penalty and at the same time buried their hopes of being able to appear in the champions league next season. This point deduction took place before Juventus had a match against Empoli and with those 10 points deducted, they will drop to 7th place in the standings with a total of 59 points, right below Roma.

This is a crushing blow for the Juventus players especially as they will soon secure a place in the champions league and it seems that this is not in line with what the punishment they received at the end of this season. I hope they will keep their heads high and continue to be excited for Serie A next season.

It's a very funny story because there are only two games left, one of which is against Milan. I wonder why Juventus were fined 10 points this time and not 15 like they were the first time? This season's Serie A is full of drama. The top of the standings is getting even more interesting.
Every few months, the boys in Italy got bored and want some fun, once they drop the team to the second league, other time they deduct 15 points, another day they remove 10 points.
This sanction related to transfer dilemma just before their game vs Empoli was annoying and made the team unstable. Again Juve have to figure out what to do to get ride from this and get back its position.. Right now their chances to play in Champions League are very very small.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 23, 2023, 12:06:04 PM
Vinicius had a costly impact on Real Madrid's recent match, but I can understand the frustration. It's incredibly disheartening when players who are invited to a country to play for one of its clubs face racism. His anger and the difficult efforts to equalize Valencia were understandable. Historically, Real Madrid has maintained a strong record against Valencia, not having lost a match to them in the past two years, otherwise that match would be a good 3 points to maintain the lead.
Vinicius red card was justified but should not be shown since he was the victim in that game and it was Valencia that should be sanctioned and its fans that should be fined. That game made a political crisis between Brazil and Spain and even between Spanish organisation. Barely everyone is blaming La Liga for acting passively and not taking decision to stop that racism.
Besides, what's going on with 2 balls in the field while he had an opportunity? Very poor game..

However, despite Atletico Madrid currently staying above Real Madrid on the table, I firmly believe that Real Madrid will secure a spot in the Champions League. With their remaining matches, it seems highly likely that they will win two and either lose or draw one. Real Sociedad, on the other hand, would need to win at least 2 of their matches to surpass Real Madrid right now even if they maintain where they are sitting.
Real Madrid and ATM already secured their Champions League spots for the next season regardless of the results of the remaining matches. What left to know is the ranking of each team and whether Real Sociedad will remain in top 4 or not.

Not even zidane can manage such a huge ego in psg all star team.

Uniting the star players at a team never easy , instead to have the full power to get a maximall result ... they flopped on the field due each ego . That's the hard part , give pep guardiola the job ... he might handled it better , that's the problem in psg.
Pep Guardiola have extended his contract to 2025 but I will not doubt that he might walk away once Manchester City win EPL (done) and Champions League title (soon) this season. That way he will be able to join PSG and fix the team after getting ride from some annoying players and make the others more disciplined.
Zidane is also a good coach but I agree that the best fixture will be done by Guardiola for PSG. There is Klopp that might help PSG in my opinion but he comes after the previous two.

Maybe Leicester had only 1 goal attempt but Newcastle should have scored some goals after making so many attempts to score. Still Newcastle got what they wanted as they secured a spot in the Champions League.
We were waiting to see a lot from Newcastle and we ended up seeing a goalless draw.
Leicester City got 1 point but this didn't make them advantageous towards moving out of the relegation zone. For Newcastle, it get them safe from Liverpool the next season

I feel like Napoli is basically dominating the whole league as a joke now. Like they are already the title winners and still showing how good they are even after they guaranteed it, they didn't need to do that and yet they still did it, that's an amazing situation. I believe that it is definitely not a big deal, we all knew that they were the best anyway and that's how it moved on and that's what we are seeing right now but that doesn't mean that we are at a position where it can be considered acceptable for Inter though, they are at a rough place and needed to win.

All in all Inter focused on UCL finals anyway, they are going to play against one of the best teams in the world, one of the historically most dominant teams, and if Inter can win that, it is just a dream season anyway, no matter where they finish the season.
Inter weren't able to save themselves from the defeat and the hassle of risking their Champions League spot in Serie A. Their chances to win UCL itself this season are weak..
Juventus were the other team that almost missed playing in UCL next season and soon Europa League too... Roma missed points too and risk to miss Europa League if they will continue like that.

Dortmund fans are way too happy right now and the season is not over yet. Even official Dortmund twitter account is celebrating and it is not over yet. If they lose points next week and Bayern wins? That means Bayern is the champion.
Bayern Munich players, staff and fans will be in tears soon after losing the Bundesliga title that easily vs Dortmund which were way far from them at some point. The amount of points losses were incredible in Bayern side considering Union domination at the beginning then the switch between them and Dortmund..
I doubt Mainz will be the saviour of Bayern Munich. Farewell the title most likely.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 22, 2023, 04:16:08 PM
Maybe if they want to maintain the 3rd position in the standings it is very certain for Newcastle. Moreover, even if Newcastle loses this match they will not lose their place for the champions league next season because there are no other competitors besides Manchester United. But it is indeed an easy bet to make money and the @1.52 odds for Newcastle are very reasonable if we want to bet on a Newcastle win. Leicester's chances of being in the EPL next season are indeed very slim but if they can beat Newcastle in this match their chance will be determined through the next match against West Ham.
The chances of Liverpool to get a place for Champions League are very weak and Newcastle are pretty much safe. Getting the third rank in EPL will be a great achievement for this team.
Newcastle is one of the best teams in EPL this season. This team wasn't good previously and improved a lot. I expect Newcastle to win today

The latest rumors say that Altetico is interested in signing Jordi Alba from Barcelona. At an old age, it seems that maybe this will be the right decision for Alba to leave Barcelona, moreover, he has won many titles so far with Barcelona. But I'm also confused about how Atletico considered their target options for the 34-year-old player, even though the competition is getting tougher next season and they should be able to find younger alternatives for the left-back position. However, if Atletico believe in their target, that is also very good because they need someone who is experienced on the field and the transfer fee of 5 million euros is very cheap for a Jordi Alba.
Simeone is milking Barcelona by exchanging players with them the way he likes. He and ATM obviously do that and get profit from Barcelona wages critical situation.
Anyway Barcelona will have to make a list of players that will leave the team and another list with reasonable price for the remaining players. Otherwise the team will continue suffering from money issues.
