Of course, I have little experience in this regard, but it looks like that there's no system in meriting. You never know for sure what others will like. It seems to me that you just need to take it easier: it's nice when you are noticed, but if no one notices... well, that's okay too! Cheesy

That's why they say "you never know what the next person is thinking" and what you like might be what the next person dislike, just like the saying "another man's meat is another man's poison" that's how it is.
I feel whenever you have this recognition it makes it easier to get merit but it doesn't work that way to some members, depending on how frequent you are in the Forum and what you bring to the table.
1582  Other / Meta / Re: AI-generated post discussion thread: how to identify & report on: August 08, 2023, 10:21:27 AM
How I wish the Forum would have something that can identify an AI post without stressing mods or other members who check to identify such users.
Or when posting using AI the post shouldn't be allowed, like the Forum should have an inbuilt AI detector that won't allow the user to drop the post and it should be having a red sign that the post is an AI post.

In less than 5 minutes from now, England  and Nigeria lock horns in the bid to get into the quarter finals, and with so many surprising results coming from this competition already,  I honestly  see Nigeria ( the super falcons) 🇳🇬  getting passed the "The Lionesses 🇬🇧 " because women's football seems to favor the underdogs and they want it more!
Though the last 16 has seen the bigger teams pulling the big results... But Nigeria seems to be the best African team out there and they want to carry this flag for them which should be enough motivation for them and I would like to see them beat the over hyped English team to make history!

Serious that's how it seems and the England team are always over hyped I just don't know why they get to feel satisfied with that. Is a strategy or something that makes them feel motivated? Even the 3 Lions do get that, that's why they have player who are over hyped but play less.
The Falcons are really keeping it cool and making the Lioness play less than they played in their last game.

Quote
Prediction: England 🇬🇧 0-1 Nigeria 🇳🇬

That's what I'm expecting, one goal and it's over for the Lioness.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 07, 2023, 03:33:09 AM
Nigeria Super Falcons facing the Lioness of England in the round of 16. With England being the favorite in this encounter doesn't mean the Falcons would just lose the game like that. I feel this isn't going to be easy for the Lioness because I see the Lioness underrating the Falcons but I'll tell you for free that this game will bring the best of the Super Falcons that we haven't seen since the beginning of this tournament, the Lioness may have the best players but I assure you that the Falcons will use this game to shock the world, IMO is a win for Nigeria.
1585  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you can earn money from bitcointalk.org? on: August 07, 2023, 02:44:33 AM
Sometimes many of us in this Forum have a way of forgetting to tell ourselves the truth, if not for the signature campaign I believe this place won't have to be crowded the way it is. Let's say the truth, if not for financial problems some of us won't bother to either take this place serious or even be active 24/7, I know some of the members here have better and high pay jobs but it doesn't seem so for others.

Being in Bitcointalk and earning doesn't mean you'll forget the main reason why you're here, the campaign does not change anything but I'll still give credit to Bitcointalk it made some individuals who they are today. So earning should also be seen as part of the mission together with learning, giving useful information concerning Bitcoin and contributing also.

Good thing you did a nice research and found this Forum, since you got yourself here I believe you also have so much to contribute to this Forum. I don't know but I feel you have experience in Bitcoin, you might be an investor but you just have to hide under that rank newbie .
Reason why I never welcomed you is because of the way you made your entrance on your post. This "I'm new here or I'm a newbie" is becoming tiring, everybody knows you're a newbie but why say it? Is something most of the newbies do. That's why I find it hard to say welcome.
Good you're here and I wish your success on your quest.

The season is about to begin and we have Arsenal who almost won the EPL title and the reigning Champions Man City who stole the show from the North London club, both teams (Arsenal and Manchester City) are going to face each other in the Community Shield this evening.
Watching both teams go head to head about 3 times last season, it only went to the Citizens without the Gunners getting any win, would that give Arteta men a different fighting spirit today to make the Citizens pay for all the winning of last year? Only time would tell because the Arsenal team have more new players than the Citizens and I feel the new players mentality would power up the morale of the older players into winning this game. To me, i see Arsenal getting the Shield today.
1588  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 06, 2023, 10:19:17 AM
I think the problem or mistake most people have when joining as a newbie usually is taking merit in the front run without thinking about the value they would add to the forum. As a newbie, you have to also think of what impact you would make on the community positively aside from learning, and even if you don't have anything to offer at the time of joining, chill and learn from others with time, you too would have a good contribution to make, as success is a process and at last the merit you think is difficult to get will become available to you when people must have seen your quality contributions.

That's desperation and much expectations, some think being in this Forum and getting all that needs to be gotten is a competition. Newbies always forget about recognition before getting merit and those thoughts of getting merit and all that can't get off their head. You have to be recognized before getting merit and if nobody knows you or sees the effort and contributions you're making in the Forum then is like you're not here, it will like you activated ghost mode.
Like we always say in this kind of situation "life nah jeje" (that's in my country), take life slowly no rush in life.

Rasmus Hojlund is Manchester United's fourth most expensive signing and yesterday he was introduced to the Old Trafford public when Manchester United played a pre-season match against Lens. Seeing the names above it, such as Pogba, Antony, Maguire, all of them seemed unsatisfactory. On the other hand, will Rasmus Hojlund be able to have a real impact for Manchester United at such a big price? Everything is still a question because so many expensive recruits from Manchester United have ended in floops and not as expected. Hopefully he can complete what Manchester United needs later.

Signing and unveiling players and even making them see that they're the highest signed player isn't the thing at the moment. One thing Man UTD need to ask them selves is "can this player do better as expected"? They can sign from anywhere but can the player live up to expectation? Manchester United is not a small team that just go into the season without getting any trophy, as a player signed with such amount much is expected.

With the introduction of Rasmus Hojlund I don't see much from this guy, like he can't do half of what he did while playing for Atalanta. Introducing a player on the day you best goalkeeper was humiliated, this is going to be bad for UTD this season.

I hope this explanation helps you understand better the situation regarding deadsea33's merit.

Yes it did, you're part of those I'll call old members, you have been here for a very long time, I believe the merit system is quite different from the way it is now.
You really enlightened me on so many things I never knew, I'm still new and have a lot to know /learn in this Forum, like they said "no knowledge is a waste".
You did well @holydarkness

South Africa is going to get the first test for the other two African countries (Nigeria and Morocco) to face the Netherland female national team and I see S.A to play like they have nothing to lose from the start. I feel the Netherland women might underrate the S.A women because they feel they have already qualify to the quarter finals but the S.A team is going to surprise the world by beating the Netherland women.
I assure you guys that if S.A eventually beat Netherland is going to be a motivation for the other two African teams to do more better.

What an end for Van De Beek, I remember clearly 5 years ago he was called the new Pogba...

The thing about Manchester United is that these days they just don't know how to treat players in a good way, they have this bad attitude of making players not to feel at home. Van De Beek was a key player in the Ajax side and UTD were struggling to get him, finally he's a player of the UTD team, what did they do to him after getting him? Loan him off. Man UTD have this thing of treating a new player like a god but when they're done using you, you become trash. Check out De Gea Maguire and some other players.

They kept him (Van De Beek) on the bench like he's not good to be on the first 11 and he spent almost part of his contract on loan at Everton. He didn't play anything at Man UTD which is really annoying for such a good midfielder, he's even better than Fred who start at every game for the club. Well I wish him well any where he (Van De Beek) finds himself.

I still don't understand the man Kane, is he confused about staying or is he ready to leave if the right bid comes?
Why would a good player such as Harry Kane be shaking his head like he doesn't know what he wants, at the end of the transfer window I still don't see Kane moving to Bayern Munich since they're the only ones interested in him, but he'll staying put at Tottenham to continue his trophyless life style. No matter how good the new coach at Spurs is I don't see Kane getting any trophy with him.
Between Bayern Munich and Daniel Levy there is still no good way in the transfer of Harry Kane so this drama is getting longer and it is not clear what Daniel Levy wants.

We already know that Bayern Munich has offered Harry Kane several times until it continues to be rejected by their side because the price does not match what they want, news also Bayern Munich has raised a bigger offer but Levy has not given any response, I don't know what he wants, whether he wants Kane to stay or wants above 100 million.

The problem isn't the money because I see Bayern Munich stretching their arms to get the player but I still don't know if is Kane or Levy. Is it that Kane doesn't have a say if he wants to leave Spurs or stay, like what's going on with this man Kane?

Quote
In Fabrizio Romanao's statement - Kane and Bayern have a good relationship.

I just wish they (Harry Kane and Bayern Munich) should continue having a good relationship, their relationship should continue to grow until transfer window closes... And by next season nobody I mean no team should be interested in getting Harry Kane.

The Spanish women team seems to be the obstacle other teams need to pass through before winning the WWC. Today they played absolutely well with a 1-5 win against the Switzerland women's team, the forces the Spain team used against their opponent wasn't something other can underrate because as it stands now, Spain is first to qualify to the quarter finals with a huge win and so much confidence. Their next opponent should be either Japan (which I see winning today's game) or Norway.

Let me say since the beginning of this year we have been getting different prediction on Bitcoin prizes and investors too have been keeping their hopes very high on those predictions...

Those doing these predictions are having so much expectations and they said, Bitcoin will recover to $25k in 2024 and then rise to $45k in 2025 them by 2030 Bitcoin will get to $69k. Other crypto analysts suggest even higher price targets ranging from $100,000 to $1 million, but we should keep in mind that all Bitcoin forecasts are predictions. CLICK HERE

With all these being said I feel is time we face the reality that all these are just predictions, is under probability.

Math doesn’t lie. The halving is real and so is demand for Bitcoin. What exactly the price will be during the next peak I can’t say. It’s basically a guess. What I do feel good about saying though is that sometime in mid to late 2025 is when the peak will occur. If there isn’t any more shenanigans from FTX style frauds, it should be a blowoff top that will be very obvious when it happens.

You said mid to late 2025 is when the peak will occur, how certain are you that it will happen as you said or believe?
As of last year November ending before I joined the forum, it was said that Bitcoin will go higher than it is now I think between $30-$35 this year (I think), before second half of this year that it will get to that price but up till now it's struggling to even get to $32. That made me to only see it come to pass before buying that idea/prediction of happening and when I see such predictions again I just don't believe it will happen.
1598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we rely on prediction? on: August 04, 2023, 12:12:57 AM
To all you have said, I believe that many people are waiting for when it (Bitcoin) will get to $60k around this year especially those investors. I don't know but all these predictions are just like a prank, is either you believe it or you accept reality.
The prediction we're talking about is still we humans that are giving it (anybody can come up and drop a prediction that before September Bitcoin will rise yo $35k) so is best to follow the price as it is like what we're seeing than wait for some kind of expectations.
1599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we rely on prediction? on: August 03, 2023, 11:19:07 PM
I hope you will invest or you have invested in bitcoin so that you will not be one of the people that will say they have missed again. Bitcoin is going to over $100000 before 2026.

Should I say I'll think about it? Still finding it difficult to give it a try too soon, let's see how it will be like by the end of this year.
Now you have your own prediction, should I believe that by 2026 Bitcoin will get to $100,000? I can't say anything about that, my question is what are you saying about this year?
Hold on a minute did you just say by 2026, it's that a long time to wait?
Don't want investors to keep relying on this predictions unless they see it happening, if not it will be a heart break for them.
