I saw the game Newcastle played and lost in the EPL and I was like, ok they have a good reason for losing that game but this game against Ac Milan was so annoying to see the home side getting that goal that should have been the only lifeline they had but they couldn't defend to the last. I expected more from the EPL team (Newcastle) but they played like fatigue had gotten hold of them all.
To me I prefer the Newcastle of last season to this one we're seeing now, these set of players are not really up to the task and I don't see them coming back to compete in the UCL next season, this is the end of Newcastle playing the champions league.

A ban is a ban brother, the offense that comes with it that's what makes it look more complicated. This is a season of love doesn't mean those who deserve the ban should just pop out of nowhere to plead and expect a free pass. This isn't just a free chance to be given to users with ban account, to me I feel an investigation or interrogation need to be applied.

They have already been adjudicated (banned), there is nothing else to investigate, and the forum is ready to clear everyone's shady past. As I stated in my previous reply here, there were several high rank good posters who were banned for some of their newbie days mistakes; these are the ones the forum is willing to call back.

There is this good user who got banned few months ago from our FPL fantasy pool; a perfect example of those I want to see return.

Not investigate per say but is like they need to look into their offense before allowing them to have that go ahead to apply for their account to be released, because is not everyone who deserves a second chance depending on what you did.
Like you said we do have those who got banned by some little errors they made in the past and I believe these set of people don't have any evil intention of coming back and making a huge mess in the Forum.
Some who got their account banned when they were still on the newbie rank, do you think they can still remember that they have an account that was banned?🤔
643  Other / Meta / Re: Second chances on: December 13, 2023, 07:45:12 AM
Always will be a welcome development but those accounts that was banned are they ready to change from doing what they did before their account was banned?
This is going to be challenging and come to think of it, what if you give some a second chance and they intend on try some of those things they did before their account was banned? I'm just saying because is one thing to say "I won't do these things again" and is another to keep to it. I believe is not only about plagiarism that got some account to be banned other things are also the cause but I hope no one regret this decision.

The second chance is only for individuals who were banned for plagiarism and not for ban evasion cheaters, and anyone who plagiarised again would be banned again. This is simple.

Santa season of Mercy!

I don't know if I'm the only one noticing it that Madrid are not the same team we ones saw 2 seasons ago, these set of players are like amateurs trying to be like the past legends and they can't do half of what they (Madrid of last season) did last campaign.
In this campaign I don't see Madrid as a threat in any way, even in the la Liga they're not that strong and challenging as they used to be.
If care is not taken something big will happen to them (Madrid) in the knockout stage, I have that feeling that they might not reach the quarter finals of the UCL, their performance is not that convincing to me.
646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: December 13, 2023, 01:18:15 AM
I never thought of seeing the price of Bitcoin dancing to the floor at the stage of the year, I thought this last month of the year would be more productive and positive but things are really not flowing in the right direction, if the movement of Bitcoin price continues like this I don't see 2023 ending in a fashion way as in higher price like we all expected, with the price getting to $50k.
It was really nice having a good sail before it started going down and now we have the market price at $41k, is really surprising because it was giving us that hope of settling at $50k before the end of this year and from the looks of things and if it continues this way we might not get that $50k but something lesser like $38k.

Man UTD playing out a draw against Bayern Munich and at some point I ask myself if this was the same Man UTD that played Bayern in the first leg, like are we watching a movie tonight, was expecting this game to come with so much actions, goals and all that. Even the other game talking about Copenhagen vs Galatasaray still goalless, sometimes football is just funny, but this games are becoming boring to be frank with you guys.
I believe something will happen in both games when the second half begins, a goal will change the outcome of both games, especially the game between Manchester United vs Bayern Munich, let's watch and see.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 12, 2023, 03:49:30 AM
UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE group game comes to an end this week, would it be the end for Manchester United this season? Only time will tell when they face one of the deadliest team in UCL, talking about the current champions of Bundesliga Bayern Munich.
A rough passage for the red devils, would this game bring back their lost mojo, that if they win? I can't really tell but all I know is that Manchester United have to beat the group leaders to get that qualification into the next round, that would only happen if Copenhagen vs Galatasaray end in a draw. Is really a rough road for United this season.
To me I don't see Bayern losing tis game to Manchester United because they have to correct that first game they almost had a draw with the EPL team.
Some fans has already given up on this game and I feel is the best thing to do. I'd say the home team, just go out there and have fun because nothing positive will come out of this game.

  • Male Player of the Year - Victor Osimhen

I was expecting something big to shock us all like not giving him (Osimhen) because no World Cup and AFCON appearance. That would have been what we would have used against CAF, blasting them. But I hope this won't get into his head when next he's been called up to represent the national side. I just believe he'd continue putting his best especially on the upcoming AFCON.
651  Economy / Reputation / Re: Recently woke up asking for a loan on: December 12, 2023, 03:10:45 AM
Taking loan on the Forum is something that has been happening in a long while since before I joined the Forum no doubt. Giving out loan isn't that bad to those members doing it, but what's the assurance that whenever a loan is being given out that it will returned without we having complains? Like a complain of a member who refuses to pay back a loan? How safe is it to even start with (giving loan)
I don't think is even proper to start up a thread or report a member for not complying, because when the business was going down nobody had any idea about it, just saying. It has to be on you and your business partner if anything goes wrong is on you and loan givers should bear it in mind that your money has 98% chance of not coming back.
652  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov sold his account on: December 12, 2023, 02:47:21 AM
I'd suggest someone from his community should step up and help clear this mess, let's know who we're dealing with.
Few of them already shared their opinion but I don't think we came up much closer to the conclusion whether he sold his account of not. At least I didn't.

Let's say (for the sake of the argument) that Ratimov indeed sold the account and someone else is controlling it now, wouldn't that person try to go under the radar in order not to be detected? I am asking because that account is allegedly more aggressive than Ratimov used to be (who we know already has anger issues) and that behaviour doesn't make much sense to me from someone who tries to profit from the newly acquired account.

Since I don't speak Russian I can't say whether account changed hands or not, but what lovesmayfamilis wrote makes much sense to me and could explain change in his behaviour.

We can't really say but assuming what's not there is possible and I won't say is anybody's fault for saying the account has been sold or something.
Ok let's say he sold the account and some of us knows he might or should I say he really had issues with some of the members on this Forum and he might have told the current user of the account all about it and this user is just taking it the wrong way by being too hard on any messages that pop up on his PM without him knowing who the person was or why the person messaged him.
Something like that can happen and we shouldn't blame the user. Maybe he's trying to defend himself by mot letting anything that hit Ratimov to get to him.

Affected ego, bruised ego, wounded vanity—all this is screaming inside him today.

As a result, and as a Russian speaker, I do not see any difference in the writing style that Ratimov previously had. Now, insolence and rudeness are a defense, a mask.

Who knows, maybe this is the new Ratimov we all have to deal with, a new version of the Russian @Ratimov.
653  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 12, 2023, 02:30:31 AM
Some people who have reached their retirement age they do work it out to extend their stay in an organization they find themselves, I don't know if I should call it greed or not but is like they enjoy what they gain from their place of work and is hard for them to let go.
I don't think is only women who pray to retire so they can go look after their family, some men do have that thinking also, in some cases some people who are not satisfied with what they're seeing at work just see retirement as a way to get out of working.
Don't consider every person who is still at work when they reached a retirement age; as greedy, like I said in my last or previous comment, what is keeping them in that office could be passion, that is, love for what they do, we have many people like that.

Here in my area, I know of an old man who still goes to work, he owns the company, has more than enough money to just relax and enjoy life before he dies, but his driver still drives him to work every day from monday to Friday..

Can you still say this man is greedy? Of course not, he owns the company like I said, if he relaxes at home, he wil still be making his money, but then, he decided to keep working, possibly because, he loves his job as the CEO of the company, and having to relate with his workers every day makes his day fulfilled. So many people are like this.

I get your point but I'm not really pointing them as greed per say, is just that whenever it's time for a worker to go he or she have to go, where it has to be as the act of greed is when they do push the time or year of retirement forward, like a worker is suppose to retire by 2023 but he or she had to work it out to be 2026 that's where greed comes in. And if it's time you make way for others to come in, younger ones to have a feel of that organization too, it mustn't be you, you know? Let that love and passion be.
Speaking about the man you said owns a company, that's a different things, he's the boss and nobody can serve him letter of retirement because he's old which he knows. My company my business I do whatsoever I do please, the other workers would respect that and nobody have the right to query him on his decision of still coming to work. He can decide to serve the driver a retirement letter and that would stand, but as the owner of the company everything is under his care and control. And him going to work is not to do much but to relaxing.
He can never be classified as a greedy man, take a look at it, he owns the company like you said if he stays at home he still makes his money nothing changes even if he goes to work. He pays the workers he's in control and he can make a call for all workers not to come to work for as long as he desire, so I can't place a man with such right over his work as greed except he starts making life a living hell for his workers like not paying them complete salary when there's enough money to do so, that's it.
654  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 11, 2023, 04:35:07 PM
Some people who don't want to retire early, of course they don't like the challenge of developing more from the work they do, some employees, because some people who choose to retire early, of course they want to build a business to be able to earn more income than working as an employee.
Of course, those who take early retirement just to take care of their family are women because they want to take care of their own family rather than having someone else take care of their family.

Some people who have reached their retirement age they do work it out to extend their stay in an organization they find themselves, I don't know if I should call it greed or not but is like they enjoy what they gain from their place of work and is hard for them to let go.

655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 11, 2023, 02:03:16 PM
It seems like Barcelona forgot what was at stake while the visitors was just focus on getting goals and securing the 3 point, Barcelona was just doing their touches without getting goals. Girona did what I expected them to do, letting the pressure from the Barcelona team to digest and then they hit them with a counter attack, if you noticed most of the goals  Girona scored if not all came from a counter.
Barcelona is too focused on the victory that must be obtained. Meanwhile, Girona played with cooperation as if they really enjoyed every attack and defense they carried out. There's nothing wrong with focusing on winning, at least don't force yourself to score a lot.
Girono responded very well to Lewandowski's reply. Girona's structured attack strategy from every line made Barcelona's defense unable to anticipate.

Now Girona can dream that they will appear in the UCL next season but don't be lulled by that dream if it is not just a dream. There are still many challenges they will face which must be addressed realistically.

To me the home side lost that focus of getting everything done right from the first half, they some how underrated Girona. The way Barcelona played was like they have already secured all 3 point but when the visitors scored, that alone made them to sit up before Lewandowski got the equalizer. Then the joke started again, it wasn't what I expected from the home side.
I feel Girona can make it to the grand stage of the champions league and is not a dream, their (Girona) performance alone and zeal to get business done would tell, they can get it done I believe so.

I must say that the Girona side did everything and they deserve that win and staying at the top of the table will really boost their morale into the next game and I just hope they keep on winning games, who knows we might be seeing them in the champions league next season and they can even win the league title this campaign.
657  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov sold his account on: December 11, 2023, 12:12:07 PM
This Ratimov issue is becoming more interesting and confusing at the same time even hard to believe if something as selling his account is even true, OP might be right or wrong but I'd say with all evidence that have been brought upon this account of Ratimov, I still hope to see someone who knows him very well to come give us anything to convince us that he's still the one operating the account or not.
We shouldn't be assuming because it won't help out in any way, I'd suggest someone from his community should step up and help clear this mess, let's know who we're dealing with.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 11, 2023, 10:07:55 AM
With all have been going on with Man UTD is like some of us are not seeing what's happening with the way the other players treat the attacker they have, talking about Hojlund, because to me these Manchester United players don't acknowledge Hojlund and what he can do.
Why would you have a player you call an attacker to get goals for the team and they're not giving him that opportunity to do his work? Is so sad to me.
Being selfish won't get goals for the team and McTommy who was ones a bench warmer is now the highest goal scorer for the red devils (if I'm not mistaken). Tommy creates chances and even finds himself in the 18 yard box to get a goal, that's his own part but not helping the player Hojlund not giving him the ball is not healthy for the player and it will kill his morale, the coach need to address this individual football United are playing.
659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: December 11, 2023, 09:18:37 AM
Would this be a sign that it would replace those kind of trading signals? What an amazing prediction by the AI bot here. I’m pretty curious how the boat analyse this and what are the parameters that were given to it to arrive to this conclusion because it’s somehow accurate with what’s happening now. Maybe we could recreate it or improve more our skills when it comes to trading or such.

Is not yet the end of 2023 and with the price looking as if is not yet to go make a move should be a sign to show that it might get past $45k and AI can be 100% wrong if care isn't taken, which I believe so.
Although the market price is some how having it rough in making a positive move and in the last 48hrs if not more you'd agree with me that we have been seeing a drastic drop in price, just hope this week can start up something positive.
660  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 10, 2023, 11:28:32 PM
Retirement doesn't mean you're too lazy that you tired of working and you don't like stressing yourself, in some places whenever a worker has reached his retirement age is like a thing of joy (because some don't live to see the day they retire) and some even intended to start up something to continue the hustle.
Some do that because their body have become too accustom to working and any day they spend without doing something that's related to work is like something is missing in their day to day activities.
But in some cases, some worker who are too lazy doesn't engage in anything after retirement other than sitting at home and wait for their monthly allowance to come, it goes two ways, the lazy ones and the ones who find it hard to stop working.
