I don't really know if I should say the Gunners are serious this time around or they're just giving us the version 2 of what they did last season, because City are having a shakey start this season and the Gunners are really taking advantage of this shaking City side.
I don't want to say much about the Liverpool side because they don't have what it takes to be the champions in this campaign, if eventually Liverpool top the league I believe they can drop back down just like Tottenham did and the title is just between City and the Gunners.
So this Arsenal team is just surprising me with the way they go about business and I'm finding it hard to believe they can win the league because to me is like City are not ready yet but when they add that seriousness Arsenal will drop the challenge for the Citizens.
Talking about other clubs, there's currently elite competitions but we should hold. The title is presently towards, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City this season. Though Arsenal is in good form but they don't have what it takes to win more matches. Arsenal might be topping #1 on the table but it doesn't mean they're Champs because we're not in mid-season. I've nothing to contribute regarding the current performance of Gunners because this is just the beginning of the EPL and there are more actions to watch out for this season.

As side from the fact that Arsenal are topping and this is the beginning of the season as you said it shouldn't be a time to say they can win the league and even if we head to the next chapter of the season and the Gunners are still topping it still doesn't show that they can win the league until they have won it.
Last season was a disappointing performance we saw from the Gunners after how many games to go and they messed it all up, so that's why I'm not giving it to them yet until we see them lifting the trophy, they're having a good time and better performance this season not doubt but let it be done first by the Gunners.

Does translation counts as contribution in your sense? If yes, then I can say, I did translations from other language into my local language. The translations greatly helped spread important topic throughout all sorts of people. The topics itself were of great knowledge. Anyone with English difficulties could read these translations from their own language. How good is that!

If you have been doing that and is helpful to other members, I'd say please continue doing that because I have come to a conclusion that we all have ways of contributing to this Forum even if some of our works ain't recognized by so many upper hands but what matters is doing the right thing and letting others know what they don't know, after all we're all here to learn and dispose useful information.
684  Other / Meta / Re: Can a merit source re-start Ratimov merit threads. on: December 06, 2023, 02:25:29 PM

I don't think that's the main reason why he entered ghost mode.
Pray tell us why? You seem to know a lot from all indications so you can tell us why he left?. Anyways, I won't drag the matter out of context  because it seems the Op wants another merit source to continue Ratimov's good work and honestly, I quite agree.

Just like others have helpfully supplied, there's many threads where merit sources are doling out merits to good posts and to be frank, they are doing a good job to make one forget that Ratimov has been MIA. So if I were to suggest to the Op, I'd say you make use of them and let Ratimov's thread be.

What do I have to tell on this issue concerning Mr Ratimov?
Is just that someone such as him can't just stop what he's doing for no reason and I also saw when a user quoted one of his post and it seems like he did something to it showing that something went down with his post, like he deleted it or something.
So I'd say things ain't the same with him. Well I think without him on the mix the Forum will still do better and I feel he can be replaced and another thread can come up just like his old thread.

Arsenal's goalkeeper and defense might be the reason why Arsenal will lose the Premier League trophy to Manchester City or Liverpool because Luton Town had only 4 shots on goal, and they were able to score three goals against Arsenal last night.

That's something Arteta should be worried about especially the goalkeeper, Raya isn't suppose to be in that starting XI. This guy has proven to Arteta that he can't be the missing piece in that goalkeeping department but the manager isn't seeing it at all, I'd prefer to have Ramsdale instead of Raya.
Keeping Ramsdale on the bench is making him look rusty and you'd agree with me that he is already. Let's forget about the Liverpool and Manchester City trying to take over that number spot, to me is a 50/50 thing to win the league, City are even having a hard time to balance that winning ways and Liverpool is not too steady in winning games same as Arsenal so I'd believe that Arteta will amend the problem in that team especially that goalkeeping department. To me Liverpool and Man City are also have issues on various departments in their squad.

Not that Napoli isn't a good club, they are and that's why they showed that sign of improvement last season that almost got them into the semi finals of the Champions League, I believe that's the best they have gone in a long while. This season hasn't been too great for them, and is like a cures to every team that won the league title will don't perform well the next season.

Napoli is facing a tough season this season, their performance continues to decline, meaning that their position in fourth place is taken over by Roma and they have to drop to fifth place. The improvement in performance experienced by Roma is very significant, after only being able to achieve 1 win in the first six weeks of this season, Jose Mourinho troops have now succeeded in being in the top four.
Now Roma performance is very different compared to the first six weeks of Serie A, their goal productivity has also increased. Roma increasing performance could be a threat to Napoli, if their performance continues to decline, Napoli will be in danger of failing to finish in the top four.

I agree with you on Napoli being poor this season and I believe they won't go far in the champions league and talking about Roma, I'm quite impressed with the way they climbed up the that very position they are now. Was expecting them to be struggling with form and all of a sudden they got that consistency back.
At this point I can't even see Napoli beating any team without struggling, they must concede a goal and winning against Roma is not going to happen as it is.
The former champions, talking about Napoli won't make it to the champions league next season if they don't do anything about their form and I wish V. Osimhen would take the chance of leaving the club if a better team comes calling.
689  Other / Meta / Re: Should Merit-Sources send merit based on their feelings or quality of the post? on: December 06, 2023, 08:49:21 AM
If we use feelings then all newbies should have merits on their first post because we have to use pity to give them one not quality.
In our respective local board we know who deserves to be merited because we all understand each other there and an outsider can't understand what is being discussed. So if we're giving merit the user need to show why he or she deserves to be merited.

I can not agree with your statement. First of all, our feelings are not limited only to pity. For example, I feel pity for other members quite rarely, but what I feel regularly is respect, or desire to support, or feel some kind of a connection with what being written. All of these are different feelings and I don't see anything wrong for them being taken into account while meriting someone. Because we cannot value posts only by rational means.

Some people do merit because the other users doesn't have the merit he or she suppose to have, and he'd be like "this post deserve a merit and nobody is doing let me do it" my point is a post deserve merit but no one is giving it especially newbies surfer from that, and you can just say this is a nice post lemme drop some merit instead, it happens.

Quote
Secondly, as far as I understood, you claimed that the user has to show, prove why he deserves to be merited. I believe, he doesn't. You see, if it was like you said, than users would write only with this goal - to receive merits. But that is absolutely not the purpose of the forum. Moreover, such motivation often kills the uniqueness and originality of many users, because they try to meet some standards in order to be merited.

Not that the user have to show why he or she deserves to be merited, the post have to speak for the user not the other way around. The information we give can be useful here in the forum and someone can decide to drop one or two merit not that merit is the main purpose of coming here in the Forum, some people do have that as their number one priority so I don't encourage that.
Those with that thinking don't get things right and they easily default the rules of the Forum without them even knowing.

Just My Wife , but not the totality there is still enough percent for my safe keeping that whatever happens will remain for me .

we cannot see what life's might bring in the future , our best friend today is our worst enemy tomorrow , our wife today and maybe wife of others if not end well so yeah , security wise ? i only let her know more than half of our investment and the other part is purely mine , and yeah still planning what to do in case there is accident that cross my way as i don't want my hard earned to go for nothing but my children.

Wife or children they are humans as we are, money changes the mindset of every individual and it only takes a well disciplined (some though) person to avoid such temptation.
If I'm to be in your shoes from what you said, I'd rather have things in twos, move some of my funds to the other wallet which nobody knows about but me and let whosoever I would want to share my hard earned hustle with to know about the 1st but not the second, that would help should incase things goes out of hand.
You children can one day become the lion that fights against you for your wealth.

Victor Osimhen extending his contract at Napoli is something I never expected to happen after everything that happened with the striker and the club. I feel this player is just doing it for the money and I don't think he would stay beyond 2025 and the  clause attached to his contract is going to be around $100m, but it hasn't been signed.
Well if he's not doing it for the money I think Napoli board doesn't want to lose on both side just like what's happening at PSG, I really just wish a better club would come and get him before the start of January transfer.

Yes, it would be a shame if Osimhen extended his contract at Napoli. Because ya, ofcourse it would be better for Osimhen to play at a better and big club out there that atleast, has good results also in the Champions League in every season and not only good in the domestic league. Osimhen is still young so of course, it would be more appropriate if Osimhen left because I am sure, if Osimhen leaves of course Osimhen will also get paid handsomely. Therefore, if for example Osimhen extends his contract at Napoli, I amsure it has nothing to do about money.

To me is not at the money for a young player like him, I have come to understand that it has to be done that way just to increase his wages, high pay and I know for sure that Napoli won't have anything to lose at the end of the deal, that's if any better club comes for him. I feel they asked for the contract to be extended just to get something out from it and is never about his selfish interest I think.

At this early stage of December we're seeing $40k that we have been expecting since the 2nd week of November, let's see if we're going to have a barrier after hitting $40k. And I also feel that the market price is much more positive this time around and is not going to be a stagnant price like we saw in November, like having a back and forth movement without any progress ($35k-$37k without going forward).
If we manage to get to $45k before getting to the 2nd week without any pause in price then it's official that we might be heading to $50k this December.

Is it too fast if bitcoin hits $50k this December? And is that really a good thing for us or just a bigger trap waiting for us? Honestly, I'm more satisfied with the current price than expecting bitcoin to continue rising without any correction. Sustainable growth requires adjustment and movement in a ladder shape rather than vertical growth. I think I will start to be more cautious when bitcoin hits $42k this month instead of expecting bitcoin to continue its vertical rise to $50k.

What's wrong with Bitcoin getting to $50k now or tomorrow and must there be correction before we could see a growth in Bitcoin price?😅
Just let it be with the market price because we could be seeing something different and I don't think with the way Bitcoin price is positively increasing, that is a trap, is just a good sign that we might be getting to a bigger price come next year.
My major concern is the price hanging at a particular price for almost a week before sluggishly making a move and later coming back down, but I hope this time around it would be a positive movement.

The Blues are really playing well and at some point I thought Jackson was playing from the wing. Now the Blues are telling us how bad they have been, that they're never good at taking the lead and holding on to it for long.
In this encounter Brighton have been playing pretty bad but after getting a goal their morale increased and they're at advantage with the red card Conor Gallagher got, was saying to myself that he might get into trouble which he did. This second half won't be in favor of Chelsea, they'll play more of the defending more than attacking and I feel this game is ending in a draw.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 03, 2023, 05:55:52 AM
Manchester United are having difficulties in being consistent in winning games and gradually losing that opportunity of heading to the top. Yesterday they (UTD) lost their game which doesn't seem to be a new thing to me. Some United fans has already picked out players to blame and to me, nobody should blame the shot stopper (Onana) who has become the ball picker from the back of the net.
Onana hasn't been very good and he has conceded a lot of goals before we could even head into the second chapter of the season. I really don't blame him in most cases. To me in Onana's issues, the guy is exhausted completely, he needs some time to regain himself and probably get back to better form, I wonder what or how he would perform when the AFCON get started.
His county needs him and his club also do, but I feel ETH has over stressed the goalkeeper alot, I think ETH should give Onana like 2-3 games rest and when he gets back I believe he would perform pretty well, ETH shouldn't mount his pressure on the goalkeeper if not he (Onana) too would be playing under pressure.

There's still hope if it's getting to $40k and that could happen this week and from the looks of things I feel we might achieve that. If care is not taken the market price could start moving very fast to get to $45k before the next 5 days, who knows, Bitcoin price could follow up the way November did or a little bit better and we might be landing on $50k before getting to the 3rd week.
Now the price of Bitcoin is $38,725 and to reach the price of $40k less around $1,300++ again,
this is even very close and if it reaches the price of $40k in early December this will certainly be a positive trend for Bitcoin.

Definitely it will get to that point that we would be seeing $50k+ and we're going to see something positive in this month of December, who knows $60k can come to play depending if the market price would stick to that fast movement before heading to next year. This month is really going to make investors gain more than they have lost.
