1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟[ANN][ICO] Coinlancer.io CL - Freelancers Of The World Unite - ICO| 14th OCT🌟 on: February 20, 2018, 10:06:51 PM
HitBTC have raised the withdrawal fee from 13 CL to now 296.3 CL. I'm not giving up that many CL for a withdrawal, so thats 3360 CL I just bought that is nt going to join in on the airdrop. Simply because of insane withdrawal fees om HitBTC.
Because of this, I no longer use HITBTC. I'd rather wait for the tokens of any projects to be released to other exchanges.
I lost more than 1000 tokens in January for entering tokens on HITBTC. Then it was $ 400.
Sounds like their name is an homage to their fees, which seem like a hit in the face...
1582  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2018, 09:58:30 PM
Holy fuck the mem pool will be completely empty in 5 hours at this rate.
We need to stop this immediately. Bitcorn is supposed to have high fees. Won't anybody think of Roger? Sad
1583  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many years you had internet connection ? on: February 20, 2018, 09:56:45 PM
A bit over 20 years now. Don't remember the exact time I got internet for the first time, but it was slower than 56 kbit/s and sounded like an alien civilization trying to make contact during dial-up.
1584  Other / Off-topic / Re: My mom bought Bitcoin on: February 20, 2018, 09:54:06 PM
Bitcoin is more than just Forex (due to lack of a central bank), especially once things like Rootstock (smart contracts) come into fruition. But that explanation was pretty good for someone who has absolutely no clue about Bitcoin (your mom in this case).

Just make sure she knows that she could lose a significant portion if things go bad and that she should mentally prepare for that scenario. I don't think it will happen, but it's best to be prepared anyways.

You may want to check out Steemit for these types of posts if you haven't heard of it already. You can embed pictures and videos into blog posts that can be viewed and upvoted by other people. The more votes you get the higher your potential payout could be. It could also help you find a recurrent audience much easier.
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook against bitcoin? on: February 20, 2018, 09:42:43 PM
Because they believe that Facebook prohibits bitcoin and ICos and other cryptocurrency
The new Facebook policy will not allow announcements of known digital currency exchanges or initial offers of currencies.
Is it to avoid fraud or false advertising? That's why?
You arent reading ,based on facebook terms and conditions they will not accept any ICO related advetisement to their paid advertising program to eliminate scammy ICOs in facebook community. It doesnt mean that they will ban your account if you posted, share and link any ICO related topics using your profile the only affected by this restrictions woauld be the people who are paying facebook for their ICO advetisements.
/thread

People should pay more attention, then these threads wouldn't pop up in the first place. Most of the topics on here are taken out of context and spread completely false information.

Facebook even announced that they were looking into blockchain technologies themselves, which is the opposite of a stance against Bitcoin.
1587  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: February 20, 2018, 09:39:43 PM
These are the same folks that claim global warming is real and that 19 goat fucking idiots with box cutters caused 911.

I'm suspicious about 911. And I'm not completely sold on global warming either since I haven't seen the studies and know that climate has been highly volatile throughout the history of our planet (nor am I worried about it because we'll either find a way to fix the problem or otherwise find ways to deal with the consequences).

But there isn't even a single solid argument for the earth being flat, and I look forward to my future trips in space.
1588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: February 20, 2018, 09:32:41 PM
if scam or not - a weird way to answer to a "bug report":

https://deeponion.org/community/threads/unlocking-a-wallet-really-has-serious-issues.30428/

Looks like half of the posters didn't read anything anyway. It's just impossible that there's a bug in the software. Thread closed.

The posts on that thread just prove how much of a joke DO and its community is.

I hope you didn't run the wallet on a system that has access to your other coins, since the wallet is closed source and could very easily contain malware.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: █【ANN】【ICO】█【ICO LIVE】 ██ 🌟 BLOCKLANCER ██ JOIN GIG ECONOMY BOOM on: February 20, 2018, 09:30:56 PM
Greek_W_140

Hi Dev Reserve me for Greek WhitePaper Translation.

blocklancer is great and Big project. i wanna part of this project.
It truly is. Smiley

One of the very few coins that I choose to keep in cold-storage for the long run.
1590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you would have 2 BTC, what would you spend it on? on: February 20, 2018, 08:50:39 PM
Right now, some on Blocklancer and some on MonaCO.

MCO is shipping their cards in the next few weeks which should prompt a climb to ~$24 to $60 USD.

Meanwhile Blocklancer is still in its ICO with a hard cap of 10m USD, which makes for a very realistic 1000x increase by 2020ish. Could even go as high as 10000x if it becomes the #1 Freelancing platform and the market grows (which is a projection that has been made). The Freelancing market is around $1.5 Trillion USD in size, so if Blocklancer could take 10% of that it would land at a $150 Billion market cap, which is a 15000x increase from its hard cap. If the hard cap isn't reached this multiplier could be even higher.
1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: February 20, 2018, 08:43:43 PM
The dev team is raking up the majority of the rewards, while new people who want to have a chance of getting Onions have to buy them on exchanges to get the "airdrop" (which is a bounty campaign). That's not an airdropped premine, that's a centralized scam and all the new people who are stupid enough to believe the lies and disinformation of hundreds of greedy paid shills are essentially paying those that came in earlier. DO doesn't offer anything of its own and is just a copy/paste coin with an obvious pyramid scheme going on. You just have to check the 10 richest addresses while excluding the premine addresses. It's obvious that the vast majority of coins goes to the dev team and that they're just dumping on those that are stupid enough to shill for them.
1592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: February 20, 2018, 08:37:06 PM
Link to that?

Last I checked the increase in supply was for marketing reasons and for listing on more exchanges. The card price will be dynamic anyways, so token price is irrelevant for this purpose.

https://etherscan.io/token/Monaco?a=0xf9a5e0436c01cc15708449e480fa5f2d6a5b55ca here you can see 1.3 mil coins transfer to bittrex on December.

I'm talking about Kris' alleged remarks. You're just backing up what I've said, not your own claims.

This is so confusing. How am I supposed to spend my golden years greeting customers if I'm not poor? There must have been a clerical error. Huh
Do it anyway. A job is now a voluntary activity! Jubilations!

I'm intrigued. Is this movie worth watching?
Yes.

To be completely honest, you only need to watch the intro (and can do so on youtube). But the rest of the movie is alright too.
I'm too much of an assburger to start and stop.

Sold.

It seems like your English isn't good enough to make a judgment about what he's said, because your assessment of his suggestions is completely false and out of context.

I hope you are right.

Anyway my intent is not to discredit the cryptocurrencies or people who create them.
I'm very pro-crypto.

I just worry because the gov used to publish fake news against crypto, spread terror messages about risk, volatility, blah blah just because crypto can hinder their business.

And now i see a crypto VIP suggesting to invest in traditional assets... it makes me worry and think the gov is threatening them (they did that to Assange , Snowden, etc., so it's not fantasy )
There has been, and there will be more, fake news from governments and central banks. So that's a plausible thing to worry about. Just a few days ago the Polish Central Bank has been caught paying off a Youtuber to spread FUD against crypto.

But Vitalik is not in that boat, at least not right now.

I'm personally not very worried about any of the FUD though. It seems like the establishment is already aware of the fact that they can not possibly stop Bitcoin & co. So the worst thing that I could see happening would be FUD campaigns to push down the price so that the establishment can buy large amounts of crypto for very cheap before allowing it to skyrocket. That's their usual game. Keep in mind that the MSM are their puppets.

Also, I personally invest in traditional assets as well. You should always diversify in a way that would ensure that if the worst scenario took place you would still be ok with the outcome. Imagine you had everything in crypto, and crypto goes up to a multi-trillion dollar market cap, but you somehow lost access to your coins. What now? If you sold some of your profits for fiat, gold, stocks, or whatever else you would still have something.

1598  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Legalization of drugs? on: February 20, 2018, 06:28:59 PM
For those people who think that drugs should not be sell in a legal way, neither for those people who dont want drugs to be legal, well think again. I am not an illegal drug user and not even pusher. I am just stating the fact that every medicine that we used are drugs! Just, not everybody had the knowledge about it. Every drugs are medicinal, but it should be taken with proper prescription of the doctor. Those drugs that had been banned for medicinal used are actually not totally banned. Like for example, amphetamine,  or even methamphetamine,  there are doctors who allowed their patients to used those medicine but on a lower dosage. Do not just rely on what other people says to banned drugs because in the first place, drugs are has been made to cure illnesses and not to abused by people who only wants higher income to the point that they never think of what will be the consequences.

because of benefits/risks balance. nothing else. for instance, if you use some medication for your cardiac rhythm issue, and you know it can develop glaucoma in very low proportion (let's say 0.01%), but indeed you know that it will make your cardiac rhythm be normal in 100%, then it's very interesting to use it. that's not case of hard drugs.
Most hard drugs are perfectly fine in appropriate dosages and have less risk of harm than alcohol and tobacco, or even prescription drugs.

In fact, psychedelics and MDMA are among the safer substances, both of which have tremendous potential for positive changes in a human's life. They have successfully been shown to be capable of treating addictions, depression, anxiety and PTSD, among other things. The only reason they are illegal is due to a politically and financially driven agenda and widespread propaganda.
1599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin making alts useless on: February 20, 2018, 06:23:29 PM
No way, just because bitcoin is making upgrades doesn't mean alts will go anywhere. Granted, a lot will probably die off, but there are still better options than btc.
Yes, for now, and only for niche settings. And this is bound to rapidly change with LN, RS, and other implementations. That's what this thread is about.

The cards haven't been shipped yet. But generally speaking, anybody can preorder their card on the MonaCo app (Android & iOS).
