Why are you guys encouraging Chinese centralization of mining power?
I just was paid and I no longer am mining here. I am mining at mmpool.org ----------------------------good nicehash.com----------------------------good westhash.com---------------------------good bitcoinaffiliatenetwork------------------new for me not sure I won't mine at f2pool due to my coins being locked for more then 80 hours. I thought I only needed to wait 24 hours. Yes, it's stupid to keep them locked beyond maturation. May I ask why you're mining on both Westhash (NA) and Nicehash (EU)? You should pick the one that's closest to you geographically. Also, have you considered p2pool? You'll earn a tiny bit more than traditional pools, and help keep bitcoin decentralized as futile an effort as that may be.

what You have is more then good, no need to make any change, imho
Thanks for the link. Weird that you're getting 60ms, pinging Brooklyn gets me 25ms. Added a second dashboard just now, will have to figure out which is best to use and how to customize it to my liking. http://69.157.250.149:9332/static/p2pool-node-status/round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 97.756/101.354/107.775/3.277 ms from Southern California. Thanks! That's pretty good considering the distance.

Thanks for the info, guys. To open it up to the public make sure ports 9332 and 9333 are open to the public and map to your p2pool server on your LAN... Should 8333 be opened also to provide better node connectivity? I currently have 8333 and 9333 open. Any security precautions to take into consideration? Edit: Opened up 9332, and allowed responding to pings. http://69.157.250.149:9332/static/Would you fellas mind pinging my server and posting your results? Specifying your general location would be appreciated, too. The server is located in Montreal, Canada.

Thanks for the chart. Sucks that they left p2pool, I wonder they did. Gotta figure out a way to get more power on the pool!
more reliable nodes ? spread the word, more support for each other & developments for p2pool i have 2 myself & helped a buddy to make 1 on his own. I have been thinking about making my private node public to help out a bit, but I have no idea where to start with that. Are there any guides? Here's what it looks like locally, I've been meaning to ask whether it is performing as well as it should be: I'd appreciate any feedback on the node's performance. It's running on high end hardware, SSD, and is connect to the internet VIA a 175/175Mbps fiber optic connection. Thanks for the chart. Sucks that they left p2pool, I wonder they did. The more hashpower it has, the higher the share difficulty gets, which knocks out "smaller" miners. The less it has, the easier it is for smaller miners, but the longer it is from blocks. Can't have your blocks and miners too. M That could be aided by big miners setting higher difficulty shares right?

Great thread, jonnybravo0311! Thanks for all the work you've done, and the statistics. Very interesting.
Might switch 5 undervolted S1s I have contributing heat my mother's house over to nastyPOP. Seems like they would be perfect candidates! Only thing that bugs me a bit is the highish 108ms average ping from her place. Too bad there isn't an east coast NA server.

Did p2pool lose it's biggest miner? The top payout address used to be about 5BTC per block. Too bad if so.

Here's to hoping for $1k+, but I voted $500+.

10% discount has been offered to Second Hand S4, 0.3465$/Gh and shipping out within a week after full payment Expensive :p Though, it could potentially underclock to get really good efficiency. I really like the S4, but it's heavy, add in the shipping.. OMG... Not at the current BTC prices. Are you guys releasing a new firmware for S4 that will support minerlink? Potentially, yes. Hopefully with an improved CGminer version so we don't have to update it manually every time an S4 dies? Would be nice if Antminer's interface also supported changing queue settings for us p2pool miners.

Depends on how efficient (electrically) your miners are, and how much you pay per KW/h.

One of my S4s just suddenly stopped working. One moment it was working, the next it stopped responding to API requests. When I checked it, it was still running, and the LCD indicated it had dropped to 0 GH/s.
I powered it off, waited 10 seconds, and powered it back on. Everything starts up, fans running at full speed, but it doesn't actually start. Fans run continuously at full speed and the LCD stays blank.
I've only had it about 2 weeks.
Any suggestions about how to fix it?
Thanks.
M
After you reseat the SD card, you might want to check your internet connection and your miner advance setting on the configuration tab. It take little time when you reboot before miner starts to work. I have two S4s, I know how long it takes them to "start up". This one never starts up. I'll try reseating it, and if that's doesn't do it, I'll try swapping the SD card from the other one. Thanks! M Happens to me sometimes too. I've never tried simply reseating the SD card, but reflashing it always brings it back to life. I ordered 5 quality SD cards this week to hopefully solve the problem.

Hey, so i started testing neoscrypt configs, but i have no idea what i am aiming for. Can anyone share what is the most you can get from 7950 ? I am getting around 220kh/s. Is that good ? can i get more then that ?
Cheers
Looks like you can get a little more.. http://hw.neoscrypt.tk/index.phpI actually got them up to 260 but i am still wondering if i can get more out of them. I am using sgminer5.1-dev I would like to know what is the best some one got out of this cards or from any cards actually. I mean any optimized hidden super secret kernel etc Just wondering what is the max at this moment. Around 600kh/s out of 290X. That's insane! I want your kernel. Do you have any power figures VS the publicly available kernel that gets me ~315KH/s on 290 & 290X @975/1500? Also, what clocks are you running? Would you mind sharing your TC and other relevant settings if they can be applied to the public kernel?

Hi guys,
Which miner is best for an AVX CPU and AVX 2 cpu? Thanks.
If you are compiling the miner for Linux, the compiler will create avx and/or avx2 compatible code if you include the string -march=native in the CFLAGS. If your operating system is 64 bit Windows, then to support avx and avx2 instruction sets you need Windows version 7 SP1 minimum. My miner software package for Windows includes four versions of the miner: 32 bit, generic, avx and avx2. The software selects the correct miner for you automatically. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9412187#msg9412187Generally speaking, the avx version is about 1 percent faster than the generic version, while the avx2 version is almost 4 percent faster. Happy hashing Thanks, Spexx!
