162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: August 10, 2023, 08:17:42 PM
There are actually two types of groups that provide updates, analysis, tips, and stuff on Telegram or any other social media network, some of them are paid and others are free. I don't see any issue if someone is joining a group for free and getting updates and analysis and stuff about a specific sport that they are following or planning to follow as long as they do their on research about the information that is being shared in the group as no one is reliable on internet.

The groups that are paid and ask their members to pay a certain amount of fee for joining and getting signals are not recommended because you can always do your own research using free resources and information available on the internet instead of paying someone else to get the same thing.
Yes I agree, there's a lot of scams in telegram they will ask for subscription where in fact you can do those things. We just need a little bit of effort so that we can get fresh news , we can maximize the use our search engines and all of the social media accounts that we are using . we can get everything when we extend our effort, do not be deceive to those people who will say that they will give you 100% analysis.

Most of Telegram channels are just pure business. They will ask for subscription even if they aren't really providing reliable services and we should be careful of that. Not all signal channels are reliable and trusted so we better researches before joining. We can actually find trusted pages and groups that won't ask us for subscription fee. We can also seek advice from different communities. We also have to do our own research if we're having confusions about something. As for me, this forum is one of the most trusted community that we could rely on and where we could get legit updates.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: August 10, 2023, 08:03:10 PM

Yes, using gambling as fun, it will serve as a surprise and great gift when a big jackpot is won. so it is always better to use gambling as fun with small amounts. Because it is possible to get guaranteed fun in gambling but it is not possible to get guaranteed profit. Gambling with a fresh mind can lead to better gambling outcomes as a fresh mind will always help us a potential prediction . So gambling with a fresh mind will have more winning chances than gambling with panic or emotions

But in reality, gamblers who are too enthusiastic make gambling a place to make a lot of money, even though they don't know what the risks will be. The gambler who wants to get rich overnight places a lot of bets hoping to hit the jackpot, but in the end he loses all his money. this will be dangerous and become addictive. mindset like this will make gamblers always panic and get emotional. I stay away from that mindset and think of gambling more as entertainment.

Relying on gambling just to make rich would be a big risk. It's fine to see it as a way to getting huge profit but we can't rely our success on it because if we put too much effort in gaining our target profit here just to get rich, we might end up losing everything. We can have it as a source of entertainment or try our luck on it but we should still find a stable source of income aside from it if our goal is to get rich. It is still important that we know how to put limitations in gambling despite our goal of winning.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 10, 2023, 07:43:13 PM

I have heard of it and I know what it is and I know that people do experience it but I have not. I think it is what will happen to a man at least once in his life time. I can relate it to opportunity come but once and one is expected to make use of such opportunity of huge amount of money presented to him either in lottery or winning a bet. However, we don't need to allow our life to be stagnant in expectation of making it or hitting the jackpot one day, we have to keep moving in our endeavor so that if such opportunity comes, it will become an added advantage and if it doesn't come, we are still good.

Only few gamblers experienced this one, because they may be the luckiest person then me.Since I do have experienced this one,it doesn't mean I don't experienced in the future. The situation only for now, being the regular gambler,I will wait to experienced this one.Because it will change my entire life, who don't like the asset from the gambling money. We only need to continue our betting in the gambling, one day our luckiest day will come. But many gamblers doesn't have the patience to eat the fruit. They will plant the tree and pour water daily and die or out from the field before the result come.

This is honestly the only syndrome that I want to experience. It rarely happens to a few people because only a few has a chance to get wealthy instantly. I think it only happens to those who aren't prepared for their life changes. There are fears and doubts but what important is we know how to deal with it wisely.
Once we get the chance of winning huge sums of money, we should embrace it and be wise in handling our finances and in managing our emotions. We have to accept the changes and be wise in making decisions since not all of us could be lucky.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering - share your opinion on: August 09, 2023, 09:09:58 PM
Do not chase promotional bonuses if it exceeds the budget limit we have than we will encounter difficulties later. Surely later there will be a promotional bonus that suits us so that we can take it without difficulty and make sure to read the rules before taking the bonus.

I'm seeing it the other way around.

Isn't it more reasonable to do some chasing promotional bonuses if lack of budget? There are lots of interesting promotional bonuses around that give up to 150% - 200% deposit bonuses and sometimes there are even added Free Spins on top of those deposits in some cases. Of course, the drawback is, expect that the wagering requirement is challenging at the same time, also expect that the maximum withdrawal allowed on that said promotional bonus does have a limit.

I should say that it's better than nothing compares to playing gambling with a small amount of bankroll.

There are lots of players already who are able to get a good run with that.

It depends on yhe kind of promotions and bonuses that we will be joining and of course, we also have to base and calculate our possible earnings on our budget and be sure that we could reach the wagering requirements because if not, we would really end up chasing these bonuses and promotions.
We still need to grab opportunities based on our capabilities because if not, we will only be wasting our funds and time. Yes, s of people are earning from it but there should also be an assurance that we can always comply with the wagering requirement and the minimum withdrawal requirement.
166  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: August 09, 2023, 08:29:48 PM
I had not seen the Scope of the demo games, they are Something that can be worked on in order to have more experience and avoid errors, that is easy to Understand, but sometimes the games in the demo phase can be easy to play, no I think they are the same in real, because the real ones when you play the chances of winning are not the same as in the demo, I recently tried a game in demo mode, that's something I liked because I had a lot of money available , well I think that I couldn't have an account with all that money, but I liked it because with a lot of money the chances of winning for me increase than having little money to risk, roulettes are the ones I like the most, and in demo mode it's easier, because money there does not hurt.

The highlighted part of your sentence changed everything you said, well, that is very certain and i believe that every experienced gambler will sure agree that more money in the bank roll equals to more winning opportunity, most especially on slot or casino games, personally for me, I ignore sports betting when ever I have a enough money to play around with, I like to play games like plinko, keno, crash and so on, this are casino in house games that i love, but there are still times I find my self playing slot, all depends on the amount of money i have in my bankroll, when i have very little amount of money to manage, i go into betting on sports, that still give me the chance to win big with a small bet, but when i am completely out of cash and feel like to play, i simply play casino or slot games on demo mode.

Having enough money in your bankroll to make some kind bets need to be of more consciousness because we can make attempt to make more profits on a particular day that will make us to gamble more than we are expected, capable of causing unnecessary loses if we don't take a swift decision to adjust immediately and call it a day. I like it when I make profits and I remove it from my bankroll so that I might not have the urge to be greedy to a level when I could easily use all my Bankroll to make bets and if I become unfortunate, inevitable loses might be the case.

Gambling using the funds straight from your bankroll is actually a risky decision because you might not track your expences easily and you could also get tempted to spend more than your gambling allocated budget. It is better to allocate enough budget for it so you'll know your limits that if you have used most of your funds, you won't be tempted to bet again. We should take control of our gambling expences and must not let our greed decide and take control of our activities. We should know that the temptation to spend will always exist as long as we have our bankroll ready for it.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 09, 2023, 07:53:40 PM
I guess the gambling itch started for me when I was scrolling my phone, just scrolling, and, boom, there it was, this ad. The ad was not just an ad, it was more, like a personal invitation from some fellow of my age, who looked like he's got life sorted.

The advertisement, though I cannot exactly pinpoint the precise content, made me wonder about the experiences and probabilities, both in a gambling sense and a life sense. And whatnot, I gave in. Not because I thought I would win or anything (I didn't), but because there's something... intriguing? about it. I think peers might influence some, but not me, although I think it might've, but I'm not sure. You see?

Of course you'll be curious once you see such ads. Who else would't if it say You have to try to win $1,000,000 as many as you like..

it's very unrealistic but also ideal to burn some dreams come true is it? so here we are now. sharing each other's gambling experience. You first got curious, then you explore, you make money, you lose some, you want to get it back, you've widthrawn wins, deposits from losses. But the best thing is we enjoy the whole experience.

Funny how I got backed to gambling. It was when I have stopped playing a long time ago but got carried by the hype of a famous local casino promoted by famous influncers in our country. Despite knowing the risks, I was still able to fell for their trap. I admit that too much expectations and greed could be the reason enough for us to fail and fall.
It is really necessary that we'll be mindful of our actions before believing and going along with the hype. Gambling will always have its risks despite all the good things that we might hear from ads and promotions.
168  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 08, 2023, 09:13:06 PM
We don't actually need any validation from people around us because to be honest, no matter what we do, either good or bad, there will always be judgements and opionions that we might hear around us. If we will always rely and listen to what they will say about is, we might lose our focus and might have a hard time enjoying the things that we deserve.
As for me, it will be better to just enjoy gambling without hiding it or even broadcasting it, just do it the natural way. The society will always have their opinion about everything but we shouldn't focus on them. As long as we are doing gambling responsibly and we aren't causing anyone harm, we should just enjoy what we love to do.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 08, 2023, 08:47:55 PM
If you are onto gambling for the first time it's not possible to get addicted to gambling because you haven't tasted what winning feels like, you will be consumed by doubts and uncertainty.

But wait till you have a taste, win some money, that's where you start feeling like there is more if you keep digging, is this not where gambling addiction starts?

We have had a lot of conversations about gambling addiction, but I had the same conversation with someone close yesterday and this was my answer to him.

Do you think its possible to become addicted to gambling when you haven't win a dime or after you win?

I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.

For most people the act of gambling, in the many forms it is dressed up in, is taking a risk with your money in return to the possibility of getting more money back. You're right that without playing the game and actively winning, it would be a huge discouragement to continuing to gamble. A normal person is able to take that feeling of sadness you get from "wasting" money, or not winning, and they register an active decision not to do it again in many cases. However some individuals may actually feel offended, they have trouble processing the feeling of rejection or the fact that they are stupid for having started with money and left with none, so they may choose to chase losses even further - but probability and casino program manipulation are more likely to give them a win in the early stages anyway.

Winning usually changes our mindset and perspective towards gambling. We could only see the possitive side of gambling and we're disregarding the risks because we believe that the same thing could happen to us again. Winning could trick us sometimes and could create an active greed in us and it's something that we should be careful about.
We shouldn't be blinded by winning because we might feel overwhelmed after it and focus on rebetting again after our winnings. This could be a big trick so we shouldn't lose our track and must still know our limits.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: Helpful mineral resources on: August 06, 2023, 09:33:06 PM
Natural resources in developing countries are usually managed by developed countries or corrupt government companies, this also happens in my country because natural products are managed by many foreign companies or government companies but the annual report always says loss and continue.
This is one of the reason there is conflict in country like Niger because there politicians are very corrupt and mismanaging the economy in an appropriate way. Many African countries are corrupt that is why they keep depending the West for aids and palliatives. The African countries have what it take to make the whole continent sufficient with enough natural resources. I hope different countries in Africa will get to understand the value of what they have and not mismanage there resources in a way the will keep there region in poverty.

This is heartbreaking because lots of people especially children are affected by the worse situation of poverty in the said country. Many has been suffering due to hunger and lack of food despite the existence of the natural resources in these countries because the leaders who are supposed to keep the foundation of their economic situation firm, are making the situation worse for them
Corruption could really ruin and hinder the economic growth of each country. If these corrupt officials will continue with their wrong doings, they will surely face downfall in the future.
I hope corruption would end for them soon so people especially the younger generation could live in peace.
171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever used copy trading apps on: August 06, 2023, 08:41:38 PM
You don't have to rely on apps especially if you have just downloaded it on playstore. There's a possibility that you might get scammed so better trust your guts. It is better to learn trading yourself without relying on anyone or copying other's strategies and techniques.
Having your own kowledge about trading will be an edge so you better be wise about what you do than regret it in the end. If you are afraid to get hacked or to be scammed, try to avoid downloading unknown apps and think twice before downloadjng anything.
173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips that helpfull for beginners on: August 05, 2023, 09:10:26 PM

That’s certainly the reason why most beginners are not advised to engage in trading because they don’t even know how to start trading at a small amount. They often think that if they trade with small capital, the profits will not be worth the risk. But the reality is, all beginners should start trading at a smaller amount so that the risk of losing will be somehow manageable. Otherwise, if they conclude trading at a huge amount, the chances to lose is very high so once they trade and lose, they might find it hard to recover their losses and might not be capable of trading once again.

Some traders are only interested to make profit but they don't bother about the other aspect of trade and that is true. A newbie trader need to understand the market before increasing there risk appetite and most don't understand the ratio of risk required for their account size but they just want to increase the profit level without proportional understanding of the risk to their account. In fact to build your small account gradually help to grow the courage, expertise and confidence level.

We've all been beginners and most of us have also had the wrong mindset in the beginning with the wrong thought that trading could help us make lots of money without considering the risks.
We've all learned from our mistakes and same thing could happen to new beginners these days but they're actually luckier as they could find a lot of good resources to learn and warnings and advices from trading professionals as well.
Newbies only need to be skeptical and wise and not just risk takers without even knowing what they're really doing. They have to be mindful of their actions before deciding what to trade.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweat coin. Is this real? on: August 05, 2023, 08:13:49 PM
Better ignore or block it for safety purposes. I have heard of this coin before since there are people who have fallen for it but I don't think they are running a Telegram airdrop right now so what you received could be an old school type of scam. It's something that you should ignore.
You shouldn't trust telegram airdrops that much because most scammers are running their fake projects and airdrops there. It is weird if you'll receive too good to be true prizes even if you didn't join any promotion or campaign so you have to be very careful.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: August 05, 2023, 07:57:58 PM
Gambling specifically charity sweepstakes has been playing a big role in our society for a long time now. Since I was a little kid, it's already known for helping the poorest of the poor sector especially in the medication and scholarship program for the less fortunate members of the community.
Many might see gambling as a negative thing but it has also been helping a lot of people in other ways too. Not all gambling companies do the same but I'm glad that there are still a few especially local companies that share a small portion for charities. We know that it isn't their responsibility but it shows that gambling could still be a helping hand to less fortunate in some other ways.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 05, 2023, 04:18:49 PM
Almost every services that accept cryptocurrencies were requesting the users to fulfill KYC. Earlier we've got decentralised gambling platforms like directbet which never requires a registration. During those days the anonymity of the gambling platform as well as the cryptocurrencies were well enjoyed. Now the cryptocurrencies were anonymous, but the gamblers to fulfill KYC keeps everything transparent. Over time things could change, as more gamblers prefer to stay anonymous.

I remember this website and their method is the really the anonymous casino in crypto because it only needs wallet to play by sending bets on designated betting address. The on,y problem on this system is the owner can run freely whenever he wants it since he has no legal commitment with his players since both party is anonymous.

I think directbet still have some settlements that is not paid before they stop the service. Those active bets during their closure is not paid.

We all want to maintain the anonymity of our identities especially in gambling but it is unavoidable nowadays because even huge casinos are requiring it. We can't run away from it unless we are willing to play in small time but non reputable casinos just to stay away from KYCs which I think is riskier because we might fall for scam casinos trap which we should b careful about.
As for me, it is already part of the security system and we only have to comply with it as the innovation of technology really requires it. So far, I haven't heard any news of getting our personal information being put at risk. So as early as possible, no matter what casino we may choose, we better expect KYC and just comply with it. As long as we're in a trusted casino site, our identities are actually safe.
177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: August 04, 2023, 09:35:47 PM
My advice - BE CAREFUL

Investment and trading books, articles and videos are made by people who might not actually be winning traders. They make their money by writing "investment materials" and sell it to us, the plebs.

Plus "as traders", most of you will lose money and leave. Some of you might return and lose more money. Some might have learned their lesson the hard way and just HODL Bitcoin. The few who actually put in the most time, effort and who are well-capitalized might make it.
thanks to you for this topic, newbie traders have big expectations for trading, they come to make a lot of money but the majority of them just lose money and then leave, while those who persist definitely have a chance to become an experienced and even professional trader.

like a battlefield, trading activity is that, every trader must have good skills -> understand analysis techniques, fundamentals, economics, understand how to use trading tools, control emotions, not be lazy to keep learning is the basic foundation that must be owned by every both beginners and experienced traders (this is an important thing that many professional traders have explained)
It is definitely a battlefield, there will be buyers and sellers and they will fight each other to be the right one. Sellers will sell because they think it will go down, and if they sell and the price goes down afterwards that means they won that battle, the buyers are buying because they think they are going to make a profit and if they are right and the price goes up then they made that profit.

So long story short we are talking about a situation where it will be quite possible for people to make a profit like that. I understand it is going to take a while but it will be quite possible for us to just make it work. I believe it is not going to be that much of a problem if you lose a battle, because it is important to win the war instead.

Not everything that we see, read and watch are real and provide trusted and reliable source of information so we better be observant and keen not to be deceived by those who only want to make money and not to help beginners. As much as possible, we should do a research right after one research so we won't fall for deceptive traps.
Not because we're newbies, we will believe in hearsays and fake information. We should be skeptical in absorbing kowledge and legit information and we shouldn't be innocent victims of those who are just pretending to be pros.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: August 04, 2023, 09:13:38 PM
Elon who was on the internet for having agreed to a fight with Mark Zuckerberg is one of the worlds billionaires with a networth that's more than Mark's Metaverse.

He has followed a trend of acquiring some of the world's top assets in form of largest shares and ownership of the companies.

In 2021 he purchased huge BTC, in 2022 he acquired Twitter. This is 2023 and he is yet working on huge space exploration project to Mars among others like Neuralink, the boring company, Tesla.

My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?

If you had only put the word bitcoin in your context, I would say that your post is from the speculation board...

Come on, what is the point with that conjecture, the guy is excited with your Twitter (or X) and surely he will be for a couple of years as he has been with Tesla and Spacex, he likes that, that people say..."what will be his next project".

But!, since your question is concise, I would say that you are going to make an offer for the bitcointalk.org Forum, allow me the suggestion, why not?

... to be continued...
Of course, why not?

I didn't really think Elon was going to make adjustments to Twitter by a redesign of its original Logo.
He is just the kind of guy with a lot of money or means to a lot of money and influence and can affect the economy of the environment he resides in, including family, business.
I mean, we still got to look out for new projects or purchase in the list of his achievements to come.

Changing the logo shows his superiority and ownership for the said platform. It simply means that he could change everything based on what he wants and users can't do anything to disagree.
We all know that Elon always wants to be on trend so this isn't something new anymore.
I think the best that he could buy is Bitcoin but I don't think he could own a huge portion of it for him to manipulate the prices in the future. He's competitive so for sure, he will purchase and own more in the future or any app that could possibly compete with Meta.
179  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Condolence Bonuses to Betnomi victims on: August 04, 2023, 08:44:09 PM
What a good gesture from the Trust  dice team to compensate the victims of Betnomi with free bonuses. I don't think that this is a way to lure people into betting in their platform because it is the affected victims choice to  accept the bonuses or not. To use the casino or not,it is left for the victims to decide themselves.

This is certainly a very good gesture from the Trust dice team. This is not a marketing gimmick or a way to get new customers. OP has clearly said it is a way to help the victims regain trust in iGaming industry. I have never seen a casino taking such a step to help those in need. This gesture will also increase every new and existing user trust on Trust dice.
Actually this is another kind of marketing strategies, because in this I believe that after this have be done I believe that many customers will like to patronize Trust dice, because they have created awareness to participates that the team handling trust dice are available at any moment to settle any case that may results accusations in their site, so this is awareness because if they want do this without using this method to get more firms, I think that they will compensate they customers in silent without making it to the public.

If they will compensate the Betnomi users in silence, then how are they going to reach out to them one by one without announcing it? Marketing strategy or not, we can always expect negative feedback from good deeds. I don't see anything wrong with their decision to help Betnomi victims so instead of accusing them as taking advantage of the situation, let's just allow them to help and let's just see it in a positive way. I hope more casinos would have the same initiation in the future.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My new favorite betting method. on: August 04, 2023, 08:18:25 PM
initially looked at this thread like something new but it turns out to be like a little martingale method and Im not going to try it just to test the game or luck in any case. I mean the martingale strategy, even if its in small amounts, it won't work because everyone will end up losing and draining the balance, especially in dice games. I often play dice when slot games seem to be away from me but its all the same I will never win using any strategy.
but to be honest I appreciate the OP effort in sharing the experience with the new mode from martingale maybe if only to just test everything is fine but will fail in the end.

The method for the game which doesn't match all the game. The strategy of one gambler may or mayn't apply to other gambler.Dice game is the game had the capable to make a man rich or drain the entire money and make him poorest person. Both the capacity was hold by the dice game, but most of the people favorite game will be dice.Even my favorite game was dice as compared to the other game. The reason behind my wish is,we can get to the know the result of the dice game in short run as compared t other game.Their is no strategy work for the gambling, only can play with the probability.

This strategy is like martigale method. It's too risky especially if you would set specific amount. Yes, it could be profitable in the beginning but it wouldn't be that successful in the long run. It could be profitable but could also be a reason for you to lose everything you have in an instance.
This method will only be good to those who are willing to take huge risks but not to those who want to control and limit their gambling expences and activities so we bettwr be wise if ever we want to try this strategy.
