661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotion and Trade? on: March 02, 2023, 09:38:52 PM
I guess for someone to call him or her self a trader you need to control your emotions right, now after having that emotion in control and other basic things a trader should know you have all under control and still loss more then getting profit.

*What else is required for such a person to control,is it still his or her emotions or what next?

*And what will be your advice to a person in that position or state and what kind of trader are you going to call such a person?

One of the qualities of a good trader that we should acquire is the ability to control our emotion. Being too emotional when trading could only lead into wrong decisions. We will just have a hard time focusing if we are on a bad mood or having different emotions so it will be better to trade relaxed. It's fine to feel upset and disappointed if ever we fail but it will be better to rest for a while and trade again when we feel relieved. It's how we handle our emotions that matters.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: March 02, 2023, 09:14:26 PM
Maybe we don't expect to see AI predicting matches but if that's the case in the future, we can't do anything about it and can only accept it. After all, today's AI technology is not as perfect as desired, so the parties involved still have to work harder to achieve the desired results. Maybe later, AI will provide the probability of opportunities that a competing team can obtain, and it will be up to us how we can choose the team.

Meanwhile, collecting more valid data may still need us because we are the ones who will choose the stakes.

We all know, the presence of Al is very helpful for its users. Al can work efficiently and quickly, of course this is very profitable so that it can be used to help us employ him and productivity will increase. Plus, it helps minimize human error.
But in terms of predicting a match result, I still doubt it very much. because, sports cannot be predicted based solely on available statistics or data. each result, will be determined by the players who are competing. that is, anything can happen during a match or a battle is in progress. So, I really doubt if artificial intelligence technology can predict match results, especially if the results are very accurate. apparently, something I still find it hard to believe. but to get the data we need, to find the information we want, AI can be very reliable.
But at least we can see how high the chance we can get from the AI can be a consideration for us whether we will choose data from AI results or from our analysis results. What's important is that we know that everything still poses a risk to us, whatever we choose, and we should be able to determine what's best for us.

Sports results can change even in the early minutes of the match starting and we should also be able to predict it based on the history they have played before. This can also help us in collecting more data and can decide later. Let's wait for the latest news from the developers who develop AI for sports betting.

Good results and concrete winning history of an AI will be a reliable basis for us to trust it. It depends on its performance and it doesn't mean that all AIs are reliable. Those who doubt it can still base their bets on how well they know a certain sport as well as the players. I agree that the result of sports can change at the last minute and unexpected things such as injuries could happen but as for me, AIs could only be our guide but it shouldn't decide for us.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos lack slot clubs; comps, is it hard to achieve? on: March 02, 2023, 08:51:57 PM
Do you think online casinos should step up and offer items to consistent low rollers in their platform?
I don't think so, because being realistic, it's not going to be profitable for casinos doing this. Imagine if they offered expressive rewards to every low rollers of the platforms. The amount lost by those gamblers while betting wouldn't be enough to pay back the expenses casinos would have rewarding them.

Physical casinos do wealthy promotions, because they are directed to wealthy rollers, that is the target audience. They would never give access to free hotels' rooms, food, and drinks if their expenses were higher than the income being generated by gamblers for casinos.
If casinos will always allow their players to win, they could have losses and won't be able to have enough funds to sustain their business. Gambling is a huge business and casinos won't focus on the winning result of their VIPs because their focus is to earn as well. They earn a lot from their VIPs so they will value them the way they can but will not spend everything on them with expensive and luxurous rewards.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people go into gambling? on: March 02, 2023, 08:20:18 PM
Why do people go into gambling?
I asked this question here because I can't get the answer.
However, in my observation, I found out that most people go into gambling because they think that's the easiest way to make big money.
Please is it true?

We have different reasons but one common reason why people gamble is because of the hope of winning and earning easier. It is a well-known way for people to make huge profits despite the risk of losing everything in one click as well. We are influenced mostly by winning testimonies of those who have been successful in gambling. Others gamble just to feel entertained and to seek comfort in it.
665  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right mindset needed for all traders on: March 01, 2023, 04:47:58 PM
On this market, a disciplined trader will always prevail, and I'm sure they are confident in their abilities. Though a proper mindset should be learned by everyone, not just a trader, by everyone who is investing their hard-earned money, this is a terrific insight and piece of advice. Although patience is a virtue, you will still lose money if you lack discipline.
I want to understand exactly what you mean, because with this scenario I'm very confused concerning what you are saying over this

In that context, OP is saying that as long as you are a disciplined trader; and you are confident, you will make it in every aspect of finance and life, be it normal business, or crypto currency trading. A man without patience will always fomo and run at loss, while a man confident in his abilities and is very discipline will continue to thrive,.

Remember, discipline helps you learn when to stop or start!

We can make things right when we are discipline in all aspects of life. When it comes to trading, the discipline also comes along with the eagerness to learn everything and we could use that as an edge to be successful in trading. If you don't have patience, trading will not work well for you because an impatient person can always commit mistakes when it comes to decision-making.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP future looks shaky and uncertain on: March 01, 2023, 04:03:39 PM
This has become something that many crypto lovers know, which is why at the moment XRP is only used as a coin to make a profit because of its up and down price movements but more than that XRP has no future, the only advantage is that this coin is still listed on many major exchanges so it looks like this coin has a future but actually it doesn't.
actually there are only few big exchange that listed XRP such as Binance and some but majority of big exchange had delisted this year ago and that alarms other investors so they leave this coin.
and at some chance you are correct that it looks like this coin has no future same is the reason why I sell all my Ripple last year and now hold a different coin that has no big problem like this one.

This issue has been running for a long time since Ripple has been facing different charges but the good thing is, it's still being trusted by many investors and it's still actively moving and reaching a good spot despite the challenges that it has been facing. For me, as long as it's being listed on a top exchange, it is still worth buying and holding. It can still be profitable, especially during the bullish season.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 01, 2023, 03:43:56 PM

Media always talk about his name he got a legendary status already and any news about him is a big scope for them since there are so many people following an update regarding on his career path. Maybe he really need to win this fight since recently he encounter those upsetting lose and maybe this win is important to him since he can get back the glory as a champ under his name again if he win this.

The dude is about to retire and having an unforgettable win just before he wears out his gloves, will be one of his happiest moments as a pro boxer. Just like any other boxer after they came from a loss, this one is no different and I'm sure he will gonna be putting everything here to give us the most exciting and entertaining fight to remember. Santiago is also lucky to have him as his opponent for that title and if he can beat him because of some lucky punches or something like that, he will still the show and become one of the most popular boxers overnight.

A good win which could leave him a gokd record will be a sign enough for him to decide about his retirement. Of course, they will not quit and retire after a bad loss because they will surely recover from it and would still ask for a rematch.
Regarding Donaire, I hope he could focus on his training now that he's having some issues with his wife and his dad. He really needs to focus after his previous defeats.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Neither Good or Bad on: March 01, 2023, 03:09:49 PM
if you gamble for fun, gambling is an awesome way for spending time.
if you gamble for "earning money" without understanding what are you doing (and trying to hit the big jackpot...) well yes, this is a serious issues and it's a waste of time too.

Those who are saying that gambling is bad are those who had a bad experience of losing in it which is actually normal and is part of gambling. We can't always put the blame on gambling because we are the ones who are making decisions and choices. If we fail and lose, then that is not gambling's fault. Our mindset has an impact on how we define gambling.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Loses $400K Bitcoin Bet on Jake Paul’s Bout on: March 01, 2023, 02:42:14 PM
Another huge loss become public.
it seems that the famous Canadian singer has made a bet on Jake Paul that turned to be wrong Sad
400K USD has been wasted. It seems isn't the first time some public bets result in a loss ...

Tyson Fury also lost £100,000 and there are many more we do not know because this one has a lot of hype the promotion is even deceptive they make t appear that Tommy Fury lacks the right skill to beat Jake.

Quote
Tyson Fury LOSES £100,000 bet on brother Tommy to defeat Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia despite split decision win... after the Gypsy King's sibling FAILS to knock out the YouTube star who went the distance

Quote
what lessons can be learned by this event?

The lesson here is only to bet what you can afford to lose, there is really no guarantee in gambling or sports betting even if all the analysis points out who will win or favor to win based on performance.

This usually happens not just to famous personalities but also to ordinary people who are also huge bettors. They tend to believe the trend so they risk big amount of funds which I think isn't a good idea. Gambling is still gambling regardless of our personalities and financial status. We should still be mindful of the risks that we are taking. I agree that we should just bet what we can afford to lose or else we will regret things in the end.
670  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Negative Perception sa PH Crypto Start-up project on: February 28, 2023, 04:58:13 PM

671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hypothetical Question on: February 28, 2023, 03:32:09 PM
Betting still with a decent amount or something I can afford losing, would be still better. You don't trust people easily. What's your basis that it would be hundred percent true?  Greed is the bottom line that drags people down. If you won't bet all of your money and you happened to win, why would you regret things? It will be free money and any amount should be cherished. Earning a small profit is still profit and way better than losing all of your wealth just because of some individual giving you a leak. If you happened to lose all of it, then that would be for sure a bigger kind of regret. Always mind the outcome and measure the risk involved.

The higher the risk, the higher the rewards but we should still not fall into the trap of our greed. We all want huge profits but we must still put limitations when betting. If there would be a person that will advise you of something or would provide you with an accurate prediction, you should still know what you should be risking. It's hard to trust the opinion of others, especially strangers because even professional bettors these days fail.
672  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommend your preffered slot games or game provider on: February 28, 2023, 02:48:06 PM
To be honest, it's very difficult to recommend any particular slot provider.
On what principle do you guys select the slots game? After all, much depends on the game session, when you win, then any slot will be your favorite  Grin Don't they? Especially when you manage to catch the maximum winnings. Cheesy
yes, it is true.
if a gambler who often wins or has won a lot from one of the slot game providers, surely they will mention and recommend that provider or that game.
even though sometimes luck can just move from one provider to another provider. I mean usually we are lucky to have an advantage in Play N Go and maybe tomorrow we are unlucky in Play N Go but lucky to move on in Pragmatic or Hacksaw etc.
so that the most recommended slot games are games or providers who have given you a win and you can enjoy every game session.
yes , it is the experience that will keep us playing and depositing even if we are losing mostly yet? if the site and their provider make us contented then we will stay loyal and may play only outside sometimes.
play n go is also a good provider but of course there are far better that i love than this one.

The reason I love going back to playing slots at least once a week is simple,we are all trying to get that maximum payout, last week I won x1700 my bet on the bonus round of Diamonds of the Realm from Play n Go provider and I even posted a picture of it in the "Slots 101" thread that we have here that we talk different things regarding slot machines in that thread. This is the number one reason we come back at playing slots even if most of our weeks are lost ones, one single with such wins and even bigger makes us forget completely what happened before.

I think one of the factors that we choose to stay in a certain slota provider and the specific game is that we feel comfortable and we believe that we have a higher chance of winning on it. Of course, when we are having lucky gameplay with a certain provider, we will share and recommend it because of our good experience but we all have our different preferences. Some of us are looking for good bonuses while others focus on the winning rate or even the graphics of the game. There are lots of new slot game providers that are existing nowadays but as for me, our winning rate still depends on our luck.
673  Economy / Economics / Re: Cheap food: can you beat this price in your country? on: February 26, 2023, 07:55:47 PM
Place is the main factor in restaurant price competition, trade competition is getting tougher if an area has several restaurants. To survive in trade, must have a strategy to attract visitors.
In the place around me lives, there are several restaurants that serve food at low prices. The saving package offered depends on the menu ordered. Only at a price of Rp 25k or equivalent to $1.64, You can enjoy rice with meat on it + vegetables and cold drinks.
This figure is fairly cheap for this delicious menu, while in public places such as roadside traders offer more affordable prices for breakfast.

Probably roadside cafes can offer a lower price since they do not need to provide you with a place: a table and an armchair. Plus they don't need to provide you with a toilet and sinks to wash your hands. Nevertheless, I am surprised at such cheap prices in your countries. In my country, a plate of side dish with meat in a restaurant or cafe will cost at least 3-5 dollars.

We can't expect a luxury food service out of a small penny but we can grab it as a chance to save but people in our country are wiser. They would prefer cooking at home with cheap yet healthy ingredients just so more people could eat. Eating out at cheap restaurants will be ideal if you are living alone but if you have a family, it will be cheaper if you will just cook at home using your own budget.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: February 26, 2023, 07:24:33 PM
You can be educated and have money at the same time. During these days where others may say that skills are more important than education, having a degree will always be an advantage. We can always have pride that we can carry everywhere and we can easily grab more opportunities since we have the title. Education is something that no one could steal from us so as for me, it's important and so is money. We can have both at the same time but things will depend on how we handle and deal with the challenges of being educated while finding ways to earn.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have bitcoin, what do you guys recommend I buy as well on: February 25, 2023, 10:53:15 PM
I have a good amount of btc that I'm very pleased with. I love btc. Are there any other coins you guys could recommend I buy next? (none of your comments count as financial advice)

Know your target profit first but yes, it's a good thing that you are holding Bitcoin. You just have to make sure that you could have the patience until you reach your target profit. Other top and well-established coins are also good choices. Coins like Ethereum, BNB, ADA, LTC, and SOL are good choices because they have dealt with differenr market situations. These coins have a stronger foundation and resistance no matter what the market season is. Based on my experience, they are profitable enough especially when the bull market approaches.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is currently the best crypto to invest in? on: February 25, 2023, 10:37:44 PM
I have been a crypto enthusiast for some time now, thou I have lacked consistentency, but over the years I have seen people who have carved out good lives for themselves with crypto, either by direct or indirect investment.,as a result I wish to invest in crypto with cash, but with minimal knowledge,so I seek the help of this house in advise on which crypto to invest in currently as someone who is just getting to learn about crypto currency.

Know the risks of crypto investment first so you will know the amount of funds that you would allocate for it. Just invest what you can afford to lose. I agree with the majority that focusing on Bitcoin will be the best thing to do. If you will do research, you would know the capability of Bitcoin to give you a prpromisingrofit. You only have the patience and courage to deal with the volatility of the market as you choose a long-term investment.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you keep your gambling habit under control? on: February 25, 2023, 10:17:35 PM
I don't gamble when I'm too emotional and I just do it whenever I want to feel entertained. Yes, I do gambling as a habit but I don't do it as often as I want. Whenever I have the urge to gamble but it exceeds my budget, I focus on other things to do to keeo myself busy. I always have the proper mindset that gambling will not make me rich just so I will not chase my losses and I will not be greedy. We only have to discipline ourselves mentally and emotionally.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: February 25, 2023, 09:55:45 PM
Always remember to only bet what you can afford to lose and gamble responsibly

I like this your concluding aspect that gives a calm but serious advise for the wise, when we gamble and win or loose, we shouldn't get discouraged because things were not thesame in gambling with individuals experience, when some gamblers win others loose and so the trend continues, we can use others experience and work our own best practices from theirs and learn, some winning also motivates but does not determines winning or loosing.

Usually, we get over excited when we see other gamblers winning big amounts and then we take big risks thinking we can achieve the same results.

This is a bitter truth that most of the times people will lose in gambling and moments like this when you spend 300 dollars and win over 400,000$ dollars are very rare. People do come in gambling after seeing such big returns and want to change their fortune in days but actually very few times they succeed.

True that, in gambling, it is hard to duplicate the winnings of others.  I am also amazed at how good @OP in predicting the winner of the match.  It is quite hard to win especially in a parlay.  And I think @OP is lucky to be playing on a reputable Sportsbetting platform since he has no issue withdrawing his won amount.   As we know, we have seen lots of cases posted here of a player denied of their winning and the sportsbook acuse them of anything that will justify that sportsbook's action.

he mentioned, he only betted on sports he has high knowledge. so it means, he's pretty comfortable with his bets because he knows very well the sports. i guess, that's true to most successful bettors. they know the sports very well, so it is not too difficult to place their bets with. and coupled with luck, they can really hit the jackpot. but yes, do take note that this fate is not for all gamblers. very rare that you will encounter gamblers with this kind of story. so people should not think that this is quite an easy feat.

Knowing how sports work as well as the capability of the sports players has a huge impact on our sports betting journey. If we are knowledgeable about it, we could easily have an idea of where to bet. No wondee why there are a sports lover who succeeds in sports betting simply because they know what they are doing. Maybe they can't always win in betting but they always have an edge when it comes to decision-making.
679  Economy / Gambling / Re: NAKAMOTO ROULETTE launched today on: February 24, 2023, 05:51:54 PM
The OP registered on the forum today and the first thing he posts is a casino ad. This is very suspicious. The OP has never written his thoughts on the forum and he has no activity. I am suspicious of such participants who register only to write advertisements.

I think it would be better if Op will purchase a copper membership first and created a formal ANN thread so people on this forum won't be suspicious about him. I also thought that his site has something to do with Satoshi. I'm not sure if it's their way to attract users or to catch gamblers' attention. I hope that Op would be mindful of advertising his site formally so he could gain the trust of people here.
680  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 24, 2023, 05:31:34 PM
Parents will always do everything for their children and they will never turn their back on us but if we are already at the right age, we should not take advantage of them but rather find ways to survive on our own. When we are old enough to sustain our living, that will be the best time to return all the favor and things that they have done to us when we were younger. Depending on them when we already have our own families is a sign of immaturity. Once we get married, we are advised to leave and cleave so we can stand on our own withour depending on our parents.
