Hoping that there would be an option in the forum where we can pick our best themes made by users in the forum, or even a contest with it. As far as I know, SMF had options if you wanted to use themes or not. Wouldn't that be a good idea as the legacy CSS of the forum is too old and haven't changed for years, only minimal updates were applied. I wanted to try this css without even downloading any addons nor extensions to preview such themes, and would also like to create one. Guess I'll reply in here soon with my css idea.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting CoinDesk about "Dirty" Gold and "Dirty" Bitcoin on: August 14, 2020, 03:00:12 AM
...

Shall we blame the bitcoin mixer platforms such as the long running and successful chipmixer? No of course! Why? Because they simply value your identity, your privacy per se. No matter what were the cause or where does your crypto came from, it would only be bitcoin - a digital fiat, a mode of payment. Justifying as either dirty or clean wouldn't change the fact that it reaches a lot of blocks and probably mixed with both clean and dirty as well. Gold is really sensitive with such labeling as it is an issue if they would have it by stolen and would soon be need to be taken legally if they were to accept it.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is This Site Legit? on: August 14, 2020, 12:39:15 AM

any suggestions that I can take for viewing some news 'bout crypto gambling?

Have you tried searching for other crypto related things such as "what is the best crypto exchange platform?" or "[This ICO/altcoin] rating and reviews"?? You would see a ton of paid advertisements and articles saying that this is the top 5 best and this is the most popular and promising one, yet it is just a marketing strategy of such schemes to let other users (their scammed clients) to promote them to earn more and more, and be boosted on google searches.

Are you inspired with my recent thread? Cheesy Nice thread tho. I see that most of people still are scammed, but I still see that most of scammed is Filipinos with such ponzi scheme and fraudulent websites (even I myself had experienced being scammed of course and now seeing many fellow-citizen/'kababayans' being scammed by a lot of shits you can think if). Why Filipinos? Because we ourselves wanted to earn money yet some think it is just easy especially when you do it online, as most trust those too-good-to-be-true proofs of scammers that they earn easily. And with the current pandemic and a lot of jobs losing with the nationwide quarantine and lockdown, it is just normal that they look a way to earn even at home, then the scammers keeps making their way to earn with such situations. (Worst right?)

If some would wanna see a current scam in Philippines, I made it in bilingual yet had it most in english to be readable and understandable by anyone.
Here's my thread: Nauusong "easy-money"
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 12, 2020, 12:48:25 AM
I've been thinking about betting and what allows a person to be good at it. There's reason to believe that betting on, say, sports, is skill-based, as at least there are some people famous for being good at it. But if a person is betting on horse races, does the person need to know a lot about horses and horse races or can one be a successful bettor based on other things (for instance, choosing a certain strategy based on the odds or simply reading what others say about an upcoming race)? Is it about knowing how to bet or what you're betting on, what do you think? And do you think betting something a person can become good at or is it that there's a low probability of there being people who bet successfully on a regular basis and these people just exist?

The answer is I think simple. But let's make an argument or a set of possibilities with the matter.
  • If a gambler wins most of the time, is he that good?
  • If a gambler loses then wins then loses again, is he that bad?
  • If a gambler is simply addicted in gambling, is he a worst one?
  • If a gambler plays only when he like, would he be the best one?

Well then if you answer yes on any of the aforementioned questions, then think again. Winners and losers is just normal in gambling, whether you were smart or stupid. And playtime/how often you play it wouldn't even make you good at it nor be bad as well. But what really makes a gambler be successful is how he manage himself, his activities, and how he disciplines in every action in gambling he take. Even a stupid person can perform better, as long as you discipline yourself with learning more and more strategies and applying it to learn more by experiences.

That's actually a good idea, would you recommend coinbase or anything else. It seems there are so many.

Coinbase is the most recommended one, it's already suitable for you... but you can also trade on binance.
I've read that Binance stopped their service on US, but you can still use VPN if you want to trade on binance.

Do you want exchanges that requires KYCs? If not, you can choose exchanges that doesn't requires it.

Here's the top 5 decentralized exchange platforms based from trading volume.

167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop-lose any recommend? on: August 09, 2020, 11:27:16 AM
Hey guys
I can say 95% of my loses are because of using stop-lose , price always return to past price and i regret why i made stop-lose ,  but th
ere is another worry that without setting it market may blow your account suddenly ,  i use 1:10 leverage . I'll appreciate if you guys guide me how i run it  .. Thanks

Before you set your stop-loss, it's better to know the average price of the pair you wanted to trade.
Buy on lower price from that then sell it higher. One common mistake of associating stop loss in trading is the trader bought the coin at a much higher price then sets sets the stop loss strategy, which is not good if you will think of it. Lower your leverage it's high...
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profitable days of holding bitcoin percentage (98.5%) on: August 09, 2020, 10:56:24 AM
I wonder if anyone bought bitcoin for the price of $11500 on August 5, 2019 and hodl until today on August 7 that the price is at $11500 how much profit did that person make?  Grin
Nothing, and loss for the exchange fee. lol Grin
That's unlucky... I do not prefer buying bitcoin in that value. Better to sell it and wait for the time to become low again then wait Smiley
I'll buy that it I will decide to do the very long term investment. But for now I prefer monthly than decades of hodling.
169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: August 08, 2020, 11:55:58 AM
Trading without losses is impossible, because even professional traders will experience losses. So for newbie will definitely experience
losses, but we can minimize the losses. Indeed, starting trading for newbie must be from a small amount, so if it fails, recovery is easier.
The most important thing in trading is to be able to determine which coins to buy, you should choose coins with high volume so you can
minimize losses.
If a trader is highly intelligent and does have great expertise on trading, it's possible for him to not experience any loss. That person understood the market very well compared to other most of other traders.

To minimize losses, a trader should learn how to cut losses. Practice trading using small amount of money, then if you became much familiar, that's to trade more funds. Just always keep in mind, do not invest what you cannot afford to lose.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the need to increase BTC's max supply arise in the future? on: August 08, 2020, 11:32:03 AM
I am neutral. I am confused what should be the right thing to do. Both choices of increasing or not increasing the bitcoin's supply does have advantages and disadvantages.
I guess, that should be resolved when the max supply is reached.
I trust the final decision that will be made regarding this matter. It's for the betterness ofcourse.
171  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Online transactions and house bill #6765 on: August 08, 2020, 11:08:40 AM
With the growing debt of the nation day by day, they are trying to seek for ways to at least pay for that debt, or to supplement whatever payment they can recoup with the available taxation streams they have currently. Aggressive tax models wouldn't do the cut kung yung humahawak naman eh palpak at incompetent.

172  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Google Advertises Uniswap Phishing Scams on: August 08, 2020, 10:14:00 AM
Google searches recently displayed results and ads for at least three phishing schemes masquerading as the Uniswap decentralized exchange.

BeinCrypto Russia discovered that the world’s most popular search engine was showing results for (and even advertising) scams pretending to be the Uniswap platform.
Google is getting payments from advertisements. They have to put it in there. It's normal, many other platforms,  most likely like facebook & youtube, there are advertisements there that are really suspicious and untrustworthy.

It's a flaw from these platforms that has the need to be addressed. They should tighten their policies on their advertised spaces to avoid spreading frauds.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why most people think Bitcoin is a scam? on: August 08, 2020, 09:41:08 AM
Generally, people might label bitcoin as a scam because they are not very familiar from it, they knew nothing about it. Maybe they have heard about bitcoin from someone who were not able to explain more about it, and it made them think that bitcoin isn't trustworthy.
Probably some of them have been victim of frauds from people who used bitcoin to fool others.
Movies and some known personalities also affects someone's view about bitcoin.
174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do if you get scammed! on: August 08, 2020, 09:19:13 AM
So, if you get scammed, play that song, is the best thing to do. As i always say, bitcoin leassons arent chep at all.

The song is very entertaining. It can somehow make you able to feel some relief from stress cause by being scammed or maybe other things that are stressful.

That's bullshit, if you even get scammed, the only relief you should give to yourself is improving on your security precautions to avoid similar experience from occuring again because if it doesn't happen (again) then you're not ready to progress in this space. Using films, music or other activities will just make you weak, for the moment it'll relief you but that experience will hurt you for left.

But when you realize the experience bettered your life and probably will be saving you from making similar mistakes in the future, only then will you get true relief. You could make it more benefiting to others too like I highlighted in my previous reply.
Hello Boss, pardon me. I believe we all have different ways in relieving stress. Songs may not be that helpful for some people upon coping with stress, but for others, listening to a song, or singing a song "somehow" helps and gaves them some sort of relieve.

Yes boss, it might not have huge impact,  but it might help him, like me, to experience relief, because some people find peace from something that makes them happy or/and from something that makes them calm.
From that peace, he might realize things that should be and shouldn't be done. Helping them to be more careful next time. He accepted his fault, learned, moved on, and ready to continue on his journey.

Thank you for the advice Boss.😊
175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies beware of influencers -they might not know it all/it's can go wrong- on: August 07, 2020, 11:59:17 AM
There were also influencers nowadays that are not very familiar to cryptocurrencies, hence they manage to draw people to make investments.
Make sure you are following the right people that is bound with knowledge.
Do not just follow people because they are famous and many people are following them.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday? on: August 07, 2020, 11:37:50 AM
Bitcoin, or any other altcoins or any shitcoins , will never ever replace gold.
Cryptocurrencies could be more expensive than gold but the fact that they are mot tangible, they can't replace gold.
Gold is metal while Bitcoin is digital. Bitcoin will never be able to be used like what gold is being used.
177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Local Bitcoin account was hacked on: August 07, 2020, 11:03:54 AM
No one here that can bring your bitcoins back. Feel sad to your loss, you should be more careful next time.
Do not store your keys online. Use paperwallets if you can.
Also, use all the security features of your wallet/exchange.

If you wish to continue bringing back your loss funds, as what have been said above, report it to the authorities, they might be a good help to you upon tracing your loss funds.

179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn Cryptocurrency on: August 07, 2020, 10:01:03 AM
I heard a lot about earning cryptocurrency for free. But unfortunately most of these methods or websites are either scam or pay very little. So I would like to know some legit and real methods to earn crypto online. It will be really appreciated. Thanks!

Searching for any legitimate websites or applications that claims to pay you is hard.
Those legit sites are most commonly where you need to do lots of things before earning cents.Like faucets, but it takes time to accumulate funds for withdrawal.
You can join bounties and airdrops. Some of them are profitable but still, some are scams.

180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why there are too many topics related to Crypto Scams here? on: August 07, 2020, 09:32:09 AM
It's simple.
A beginner lacks knowledge. Not all, but most.
So generally they are the type of people who might be easily fell into traps of fraudsters.
I see nothing wrong in posting things related to scams here. And I do not see "bunch" of topics about that.
