361  Other / Meta / Re: Where to create thread for buying BTC? on: May 27, 2020, 06:45:24 AM
Should I post this on currency exchange board or maintain a thread in other location board?

You have a Bangladesh exclusive thread and you might want to ask them with your matter. Also, you can ask queries in Marketplace or particularly in Currency Exchange Section, and upon posting, make sure that you cleared your intentions with your subject and of course the country you reside.

I also found on the Internet that Paxful (https://paxful.com/buy/bitcoin/bangladesh) offers transactions in your place instantly.
362  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [SUGGESTION] Isang problemang mapapansin sa Local Board natin on: May 26, 2020, 01:01:13 AM

363  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Cheapest way to send php to the Philippines via bitcoin? (normie-friendly) on: May 25, 2020, 04:47:00 AM
Any other alternative you guys are aware of?

Why not try receiving XRP instead?
Napansin ko lang kasi na sobrang mura to almost walang transaction fees ang Coins pag Ripple ang ginamit, and it can be also easily converted sa PHP. Ilang beses ko na ginagawa tong ganitong way and I think eto yung pinakabest way kung gusto natin makatipid sa every transactions natin.

You can trade your btc to USD in Bittrex and you can send send that USD to a bank account in the Philippines, provided the receiver has a dollar account.
This is quite complicated, but if you are sending a big amount, you ca save with the conversion as an exchange uses a standard exchange rate.
I am not sure with the fee though from bittrex to a dollar bank account in the Philippines but I'm sure it's not that high.. I made a transaction before from bittrex to my BPI dollar account.

I think fees would be high sa Bittrex to banks, and kasi banks do also requires huge fees lalong lalo na kapag international exchange rates ang pinaguusapan and AFAIK huge amounts lang tatanggapin neto and not good nor friendly for transactions na mabababa lang ang amount.
364  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [GUIDE]Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) on: May 25, 2020, 03:41:01 AM

365  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [GUIDE]Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) on: May 24, 2020, 11:57:53 AM
~snip~

Nagets ko naman po onti yung idea ng MACD and how it helps to predict the crypto market eh but still, lahat po ba ng online platforms may ganito?
366  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: May 24, 2020, 11:22:35 AM
It is definitely not a newbie account because in other two posts he actively promotes the Divi project. This is a clear case for permaban or nuking, imho.

I think he doesn't deserve that much of a punishment nor befits any of the punishment at all. Let's hear first the reasons of the author himself and not to be so harsh. I'm not covering nor helping other Plagiarizing users, it is just the fact that he might've read it and translated it into his own words. Yes, this is just might an alt account. Yet all accusations are right, it's a 50-50 situation unless he can prove it that he didn't commit such actions.

The bottom-line for his case is, I think, to let us hear him first before applying the Forum's disciplinary punishments.s
367  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Scammer arestado anak pala ni General on: May 24, 2020, 04:22:47 AM

368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Survey for thesis paper (topic on the cryptocurrency payment system usage) on: May 23, 2020, 11:41:36 PM
Hello, I am a graduate student working on a thesis paper trying to figure out cryptocurrency payment system usage.
It would be great if you guys can help by participating in it. Thank you. I need help.

Shouldn't your research require a tangible evidences and proofs of your respondent's answers? Because with the anonymity here in the forum, you might be losing on your defense with a simple question, "How valid are your respondents and their responses?".

I mean, online surveys can be used. Yet its validity and reliability wouldn't be enough. And I think that's the reason why the OP's research somehow requires or wanted to have a valid personal information from the respondents. YET, with your account being newbie as well, we would've found your interest a bit confusing and suspicious. You might get someone trusted here in the forum help you to advertise your research first. But still, you should also need to provide how can we entrust you with our personal identity and how firm you hold our data privacy.

And as what cryptoaddictchie and Maus0728 have requested, you might be also consider editing your main post. Hence all the doubts with the external link you've indicated would be lessen.
Pindutin mo lang yung add another timer.
https://www.timeanddate.com/timer/
Good luck mga kabayan at ingat palagi.
Yet the reason is bakit pa magtitimer?

And if someone is really focusing on contributing on the forum, time and posting interval's isn't his/her enemy. And for those who looks at campaigns as jobs, well then sooner or later tatamarin din sila magpost and maging conscious pa sa oras ng pagpopost nila.

Yet, overall, ok lang naman kung need ng iba ng timer just to remind them that they need to post. Kaso a question would hold you back soon,
It can be also a subject to plagiarism
  • Kapag kinuha mo ang content mula sa ibang forum members ng walang pahintulot o citing ng link/contributor as reference, it can lead to plagiarism

ito yung pinaka nagpapaconfuse or nagpapalito sa lahat eh. Even sa collegiate and academic papers sobrang sensitive ng Plagiarism, and fact tama ka na sobrang laki ng consequences na kahaharapin rito. But kapag dito naman sa forum, due to the anonymity and even the fact na anlaki talaga ng Internet, sobrang baba din ng chance or sobrang hirap din madetect ng kung ano ba talaga ang totoo behind plagiarized posts/articles, mostly dito sa forum.

And why nagpapaconfuse? Kasi may tinatawag tayong "Paraphrasing" in which binabago mo yung construction ng isang post in to a simpler and sa way na maiintindihan ng iba, and sa way na magagamit mo yung thought and idea ng iba sa gusto mong iparating based sa subject/intentions mo. PERO (oo malaking malaking pero), without citing it properly would be the act of Plagiarism.

Example, may isang existing article online and you've posted it in this forum in your own words without citing your idea's source.
How could we know it's plagiarized?
  • Sobrang hirap. Yet there's a loophole with it. Imagine, most articles and post/thread makers rito is may evidence's and proofs with regards to their subject (e.g Common topics such as "How to make safe wallets..., how to [some common ideas and topis]...., etc."). So for short, you can detect plagiarism if sobrang too good to be a user's own word ang ipopost nya sa forum and ni walang ginagamit na ibang sources.

371  Other / Meta / Re: Is there an easier way of searching for a post within a thread? on: May 23, 2020, 11:41:23 AM
I've been bookmarking a lot of useful threads that I come across, but the number of bookmarks I have is becoming excessive. Within these threads, I'm searching for a particular post most of the time that I came across before. Is there an easier way of searching for previously viewed posts within threads?

There are no ways to easily search useful posts within a thread, because usefulness of a post/reply do also depends on a user's ideology and sense of understanding. Meaning, everyone has different perspective on what is a useful post, and what's common.

Yet I think there are things that can help you archive messages.
  • Save link of the certain message by:
    • First, right click on the #{number} on the top right of the post.

    • Then, select "Copy Link Address". then simply archive that link and put some title on your note depending on what do you think why is it helpful for you
  • Or, simply use Screenshot/Snipping Tool and manually crop and save posts that you find useful.

373  Economy / Reputation / Re: account for sale. on: May 23, 2020, 02:09:26 AM
What happens if users of @Arakbali, who create dozens of accounts on the BitCointalk forum, are sold exclusively.
The seller of the account cannot be trusted encourage fraud and spamer.

I don't think someone would buy accounts from a newbie user whom you've already flagged. Yet I think simply tagging them wouldn't be enough, tracking down those accounts he's selling is the best way I guess, hence making all of his accounts useless. Yet we cannot just stop them from doing such stuffs because Indonesia is a huge country and we couldn't know if he would have sell it to his friends or even to a stranger near him.
374  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: May 23, 2020, 01:17:49 AM
The only difference is, trolls are getting aggressive right now because of what they have found on the account of Lauda.

Indeed. I've found accounts that were recently active just because of the Lauda's plagiarism issue. List below are the possible alt accounts of someone whom is really trying hard to be heard:

A THREAD: WHY LAUDA'S PLAGIARISM CASE HAVE SO MUCH DRAMA?
by: Teleman
  • Only have 4 posts in which is all about the Lauda's issue, made his own thread (link mentioned) just to open his opinion, yet simply quoted the whole bitcoinchan's evidence post.

SOME SUSPICIOUS USER: hackerplace
See posts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=923976;sa=showPosts
  • His recent posts are duplicate, and is against forum rules. If this is a real account, then he must be knowledgeable that duplicate posts are prohibited in the forum.
    12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).

SOME SUSPICIOUS USER: Bitcoin-babe
See posts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2789386;sa=showPosts
  • Only has 10 posts, in which 6 of them are just because of the Lauda's issue, had already been received negative feedback that is all were right.

I would add users soon whom have seems to be just an alt account.

Those user's I've mentioned was not on purpose nor to defend Lauda. It is indeed a good thing that they've been persuading the ban of Lauda, yet with those desperate actions, I don't think the issue is simply "only based on facts and rules". As what nullius said:
It neither shocks me nor surprises me to see this level of rank hypocrisy from the majority of those who are calling for Lauda to be burnt.  So many of the persons who regularly defend plagiarism and other wrongdoing, and who falsely accuse Lauda of abusing the rules for personal vendettas, are crawling out of the woodwork to call for the strictest punishment—obviously, based on personal vendettas.  As I said:  I am not surprised.

And therefore, even a normal user would simply understand, that this issue also has a subjective reasons by the opposing side. I think the best way to end the drama is to lock the threads that regards with the issue, and simply let theymos and other Admin to handle the rest. Not to cover up the issue nor prolong it, but to somehow lessen the fire caused by users whom make alt account just for the issue, yet opinions is at their bottom-line and just the same. Cause sooner and later, the desperate would never be tired of their actions as long as they didn't get what they want.
375  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New g2a bitbay scam floating around on: May 22, 2020, 12:36:43 PM

5) After paying, there will be a message saying "Sorry, this payment is expired" or something like that
6) They will apparently send the bitcoin back and the giftcard as well

You said that the bitcoin will be sent back? I don't think it was a scam if it would be back to the sender. Maybe it's just a system bug or a faulty program on the website. And why do you need to add a script to change the timezone and the deposit address? All legitimate transactions and offers doesn't need scripts just to run well.

If people use script/software that they don't understand at all or have good reputation, it's partially their fault for got scammed.
Indeed.  I don't think scripts would even help their transactions to be smooth and fine. It's just making them riskier especially if they cannot understand the program well.
376  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's seclog log on: May 22, 2020, 12:05:30 PM
Can you teach me or somehow publish a thread on how to do scrapping? I've been amazed on how you manage to sort data depending on your likes. I would also wanted to make my own thread/scraps on newbies that aren't been active for couple of weeks (as I found it a good idea to somehow help the Community that is bombarded with fake newbie accounts just to make common topics and threads then being abandoned right after), and suggests an action corresponding with it. Also, I would like to apply my Front-end development skills in making those logs. I do programming as well hence I can understand it well.

Also, I do suggest that logs would be depend on month so that all users can view it with no lags.
377  Other / Meta / Re: WHY LAUDA'S PLAGIARISM CASE HAVE SO MUCH DRAMA? on: May 22, 2020, 11:07:15 AM
Moderator's and staff are quickly banning members who plagiarize, and why does Lauda can explain about the issue? Why it's taking too much drama?
He should be perma ban! quickly as that. If that is a normal member, right now he is ban. But if it's lauda he can explain?

The forum rules are simple, you plagiarize you are gonna get perma ban.

Why do some users make alt accounts just to post the same? You've just cited your opinion yet you've quoted all the evidences. This thread should be removed as it is just like the recent post

"HOLY FUCK !!!! THE SCAMMER IS ALSO A PLAGIARIST OF GIANT MAGNITUDE - SIG BAN NO"

You could've instead posted your opinion on that thread or make a reply at the main Report Plagiarism thread than making your own.

If you wanted others to be banned, you are free to open up your sides and opinions. Yet if you would make accounts just to post the same issues, you might lose the argument in the end, making your accusations subjective. I don't side with Lauda nor with anyone at all. Yes, he must be punished the same as the other users. Yet with those desperate actions, again, you might lose the war.

lauda plagiarism? BAN
no sorry: PERMABAN
as others are banned, he too must be banned
Meanwhile, you've been active just to post that, and used the same comments here. We all know that there is a forum rule that states that it is prohibited to duplicate posts.
12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).

Lauda deserves disciplinary actions. Yet you also deserve the same. Remember not to do the same mistakes as what you accuse to others.
378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn passive income with your raspberry pi on: May 22, 2020, 10:15:16 AM
No, it is not gambling, because I'm regarding to the rewards. You will of course loose money with the multiplier, but the rewards will compensate the losses. I edited the OP accordingly.

Isn't the rewards would be less than what would've you deposit? In example, though it is automated to let the BOT do the multiplier, yet what would be the minimum requirements to get the full rewards? Is there even a proof that those rewards are much valuable than what you would've deposit?

You can.
There is a service which solves it for you. You can get 1000 solved captchas for 0.5 to 1$.

Whether it is worth using that on some faucets which give little to no BTC.. i would doubt that.
But you definitely don't need to solve them yourself  Smiley

Unless the captcha is image based and not the text one. Image based captchas are enhanced way to  stop automation cause by bots, and it is the most common captchas used even here in the Forum. And once the system detected you are using automation, there are chances that they would block your IP, in which is much a worse risk than simply spending little captchas on your device.
379  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sim Swap Scam Hack? on: May 21, 2020, 03:03:45 PM
The only way for this hack to work is the hacker bribing someone at the cell phone sim company? Or can hacker just know your cell phone number?

There's no bribing required just to hack someone's phone number and use it to gain the number's owner's information. It is called social engineering in which the attacker would act like he owns the number or he has connections with you, every lies are possible to gain the sim company's help.

Quote
If bribing then how does hacker know which cell phone network provider your with to begin with in the 1st place? Shall I assume hacker is already known to sim company or have a already existing relationship with someone at the sim company or does sim company employees nowadays accept any bribe for any amount offered? How does the hacker and sim company employee cover the traces of the bribe? Does the first few digits of a cell phone number reveal which cell phone network sim provider you are with?

As Far as i know each and every network provider has differences with their phone numbers. i.e. AT&T number's starts with 22 while the other company starts with 55. Therefore, it would be easy to know your network provider by simply knowing your number alone.

Quote
So these sim swap hacks are organised in advance right? and if so how do they know their chosen victim is worth their hack and time? Usually is it the victim with lots of bitcoins? Yeah everybody knows bitcoins are on a public not private block chain that can be viewed by anyone. So small time bag hodlers are not victims of this, only the rich whales?

Any one can be an attacker's victim. It would only depend on what would be his purpose and  his motivations to do such actions.

Quote
This hack can target individuals only, not groups of people at the same time right?
Nope, even the government can be hacked or even a country, depending on how firm your security is.

Quote
Does Google 2FA stop sim swap hacks?
Nope, there is an attack that can bypass incoming texts to be sent to your mobile number and the attacker can simply read it. Hence, if he gained access with your number, he can do whatever he wants to do with it.

Quote
So any website that uses normal sms text verification can be sim swap hacked?
Everything is hackable and penetrable, hence, nothing even your own sim is secured to attacks.

Quote
If hacker already knows password to victim email account then no sim swap hack required? Just hacker requesting password changes. The sim swap hack is just needed to access the victim's email?
Unless you enable phone authorization on your email, then there's a need of your phone to change your password. Yet the bottom line is simple, he attacks you for a reason, and a single information such as phone number can lead to every attack possible with the use of that single piece of info.

Quote
Finally whats the single best most convenient way of preventing a sim swap hack?
Never let others know your number! Use separate numbers as possible, from personal use, to work use number.

Take a look at my discussion thread that can be helpful with your matter:

ETHICAL HACKING

Recently while being on lock down, I've been studying Ethical Hacking and how can someone penetrate, gain access, and bypass any security just to steal information on a certain target (single person or even a group). My first practice was to hack my own phone and it is was just easy as 1 2 3. Then, I chatted my friend that I would hack her, I her a malicious file/mobile app on my friend and ask her "Just install it I just wanted to test if my mobile app can work on other devices." Then with that little Social Engineering, I managed to gain access in here phone without her knowing. (ofcourse she didn't think it was possible) I've sent her a picture of her on her phone's front cam then teach her the lesson in which she was both amazed and shocked with how easy anyone could access other device. She then later accepted my actions as it was even a lesson for her.

I've also seen users in here that said their accounts was hacked. Below would contain some tips on how to prevent such events.

There are a lot of attacks that can be used to gain access, most commonly on Android and Windows devices.

COMMON ATTACKS
  • ANDROID HACKING
    • APK FILE (Android Package) - never ever download any APK files online even those MOD (modified) apps that lets you use a premium-like service of a certain application (Spotify, Netflix, etc). One thing I've learned is that hackers can inject payloads (malicious scripts) on an existing APK file, meaning that they can have a malicious script running on an already trusted android application. And with a simple installation, hacker can gain access on your device, without you noticing!
    • PDF FILE - never trust someone to make you view nor even download ANY pdf files! I've recently learned that a single pdf can even manage to gain an access on your android device without even any detection from Google's preinstalled anti-virus.
  • WINDOWS HACKING
    • ANY FILE!!! - Yes, you've read it right! There's an easy attack that can load/inject scripts and payloads on file formats such as Image files (JPEG, PNG, anything!), PDF Files, and even other Microsoft Office file formats! There is even a way to bypass any antivirus just with a single encryption of the script injected to the file, hence with a single execution, the attacker can easily gain access on your computer!
  • WIRELESS HACKING
    • PUBLIC WIFI - never ever connect to any public and open Wi-Fi! There's an attack that allows the hacker to use his Wi-Fi adapter (can be preinstalled on laptops, smartphones, wi-fi dongles) to monitor ALL the traffic that is going through the Wi-fi. Basically, Wi-Fi transfers data on the air not on a single unseen line but rather scatters it in the mid air, and just let the clients (users) fetch those data depending upon their Wi-fi connection's channel. Therefore, He can track and listen to the transfers of data, even focus on a single I.P/target, and fetch all the traffic (contains passwords, images, even chats!). The attacker can even send you fake websites of what your are visiting and let you input your credentials!

TIPS TO PREVENT SUCH ATTACKS
  • Android hacking attacks can be prevented easily by simply not trusting any anonymous offers and file/application downloads. Just focus on applications that is on your Playstore and not download anything from unknown sources, even those that can give you hacks on many subscription-based services and platforms!
  • Preventing such Windows attacks is easy. Always keep your anti-virus updated (I personally suggests using Windows Defender that updates almost everyday and already preinstalled on any Windows distributions). Also, never download files that came from the internet even from simple emails from unknown sources. Better use Virtual Machines for downloading files so that the attacker cannot gain access on your main files.
  • NEVER CONNECT TO ANY PUBLIC/OPEN WIFI. That's just a simple prevention that is much worth and better than any post-actions.

  • USE STRONG PASSWORDS OR EVEN ENCRYPT IT! There are a lot of text-encryption such as base64 (can be repeated multiple times), TDES, AES, etc. Those I've mentioned are the pretty strong encryptions, you can even combine all the encryption to have a solid password. I use all of it one by one (from plaintext -> base64 -> etc..) then save the output as my password online. With that, the possibility of bruteforcing your password would be even less than zero.

I've posted this simply just to warn all the users on how can they be vulnerable digitally. There had been a lot of users whom still had been hacked here in the forum, and I hope the tips could be somehow helpful for them and make them less vulnerable to certain cyber attacks. This is only for educational purposes, please do not commit nor try Hacking without further approval from someone you would test it.

Let me know if you have more suggestions or any clarifications with the thread!
