161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ALLMINE INC - FPGA Cryptominer on: June 14, 2018, 06:13:46 AM

So are you saying that you know of an algo that would be mined faster on a GPU compared to an ASIC? Missing here would be that algo's name.

Ethash, tensority.

Is there need to have ram on 1525? I mean, I can't mine some algos without ram directly on board?
Thank you

There are currently NO bitstreams that utilize the memory. There are plans for it to be utilized in the future for some operations. However, you can buy the memory at that time on your own if you decide you want to. We will be releasing a memory compatibility list so you know exactly what to buy.

Taking into consideration planned ZCOIN August fork to MTP, I wouldn't think about board without RAM.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bittawms Group buy - Baikal X10 - $1450 + shipping on: June 11, 2018, 07:40:31 AM
Hi guys.

Baikal have confirmed we can get the X10 for $1450 each plus delivery to individual addresses if we can get quantity up yo 50

let me know if anyone is interested.

I would be interested in X10 price after DGB fork.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Power usage with 1080 Ti + Vega 64 ~ 540W (wall) ~ 100 Mh/s ETH on: June 09, 2018, 11:25:35 AM
I expected around 130 W CPU/system + 160 W Vega 64 + 140 W 1080 Ti ~ 430 W.

HWiNFO64 shows :
~ 25 W CPU
~ 178 W for Vega
~ 161 W 1080 ti

= ~364 W + motherboard + ram

so I'm running 100 W hot.

I'll run some sanity checks with the old power supply.

Probably missing power difference of XEON and 64GB ECC RAM under stress of two running miners.  I pulled out 4 1GB modules and left 4 of 4GB in my test machine in order to save on power/cooling, because ECC was going north of 90 degrees at smaller modules during mining.
And Your Vega target temp is way too high. I wouldn't go higher than 55.

Thanks for replying and taking the time

You're welcome. Just remember - Your earnings depends on how You're mining, but not as much as HOW AND WHEN You will sell what You mined.  Roll Eyes

Hi guys!

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask but have a question about CREA mining.

I have started mining the coin like 10 hrs ago using yiimp.eu pool. My rig is 6 GTX 1070 Ti giving 5.1 GH/S and I am using ccminer 2.2.5 which is supposed to be without dev fee.

According to whattomine and crypt0zone I should be getting around 5 coins per hour (later it changed to 4.81) so in 10 hours it should be somewhere near 48-50 but I would happily accept somewhere between 43 and 45 due to pool hashrate fluctuations, rejected shares and console hashrate inaccuracies plus 2% fee from yiimp.eu

1. 10 hours is not enough to calculate average earnings.
2. Whattomine is not accurate.
3. To receive pool payment, pool should solve block. But there are other pools also, so they are solving blocks too. Therefore, irregular payment gaps exists.

Huawei didn't hold the gun but is paying 1B fines. Easy as that.

For warranty? Can't seem to google any related article about that 1B fines and Huawei, got link?

My mistake. ZTE got 1B fines, Huawei permanent US ban. Not related to warranty, point was one shouldn't gunpoint to get fines...
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ALLMINE INC - FPGA Cryptominer on: June 07, 2018, 07:23:06 AM

There's a pretty simple solution for all the potential buyers out there. If you don't like the terms/warranty, then don't buy it, simple as that. No one is holding a gun to the buyer's head to buy a product with only 90 days warranty.

If you would like a 1 year warranty, then I suggest senseless create a 3rd product on his website for $15,000 board with included 1 year warranty. There, buyer's have options now.

Easy as 1, 2, 3.

Regarding warranty, we haven't mentioned it and (quite surprisingly) no one has asked about it. The warranty period will be 90 days from the date of delivery.

I think 90 days are not enough to obey EU laws for planned EU:EU sales process.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: June 04, 2018, 07:20:18 AM

This is awesome.  The fewer people that get involved, the better.  I hope the FPGA community stays small, so profits don't get diluted.
...
Still, despite this information, hopefully people don't buy; the fewer people that get involved, the better.

badly. And the delivery methods are limited.
We want to be placed on the aliexpress. It's much more convenient.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer B3 Miner on: May 31, 2018, 12:01:42 PM

Sorry to sound like a brick, but that's exactly the reason why people that first read have allways an advantage. I mean who the hell is sending whatever currency to an exchange without checking first everything, including a small test transaction??

First thing on a new exchange is allways to check the rulews, withdraw fees and restrictions, easy as that.

No, You sound like everyone's general after the battle - yeah, sure,... with the Bytom there were plenty of exchanges to choose from for making simple ECRtoken -> mainnet swap...
Bytom launch was fuzzy as much as possible and still going in same manner.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bytom Mining - ASIC algorithm now cracked by GPU miners? Big profits? on: May 31, 2018, 11:52:21 AM
Just reading through.

I'am running on my home PC a i7-8700K with 2x 1080ti on PCI 16 slots and 64GB RAM, but i'am on windows 10,
can i try testing something that could help?

I doubt, as it was mentioned several times it's not for windwos, but maybe there is a way....

Your fastest way is bootable Ubuntu USB memory stick...

Its been announced on Discord already. https://mineority.io/

In general I'm in if initial prices and maintenance fees are reasonable leveled.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: May 30, 2018, 09:13:32 AM
For 0.1 ZEC per rig I can make You have 0% devfee and never see single DevFee Accepted share with EWBF.
the rest of us can do that for 0.00000000 ZEC

Code:
miner --fee 0 --server some_server --port some_port --user some_user_name --pass x

Of course, I just wanted to compensate my disturbance of reading again and again noobs complaints about EWBF fees...
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer B3 Miner on: May 30, 2018, 09:01:34 AM
Thanks for the heads up but what a fucking nightmare.  Just barely sent about 400 BTM to gate.io cause it seemed legit to trade and now that I'm trying to withdraw it's just one hassle after another.  Need SMS support, needs KYC, on and on!  Withdrawl disabled for 24 hours "for your security".  WTF.  Just give me my fucking coins back....

Yeah, it's a mazo-experience filling expiring SMS code and 2FA I switched on thinking on replacing from time to time SMS codes with it. And now KYC "in 2 days". It's even worse with mobile application.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4 Gridseed Orbs... How do I know if they are working??? on: May 30, 2018, 07:00:10 AM
So.. I got 4 gridseed orbs i've been working on all day and they SEEM to be working but nothing is popping up in the pool for activity and such.... not sure what's going on. How long should I let them go before I decide they aren't working yet? Currently mining BCH and LTC???

With such obsolete hardware, You should mine Scrypt coins nobody wants today with hope somebody will want them tomorrow. Switch off SHA-mining because it will spend any earning You are making with Scrypt.

180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: May 20, 2018, 08:38:37 PM

Bytom. Why You're asking?
Hows the profit on them and didnt bitmain made asics for them like a month ago?Can you share some more info with us if you dont mind preaty please, promise that not a lot of people will se your answer Grin

Nobody knows. Right now not far of mainstream coins profitability. There is only one twighlight zone exchange that accepts mainnet bytom and supports swap from ERC20 bytom tokens. I hope value will go up after complete swap to mainnet. Bitmain had to upgrade firmware of B3 and raise it's hashrate for 25% in order to escape away of GPUs.  Shocked
But hordes are on horizon, because GPU Nvidia miner looks like far of optimized. B3 byers are close to D3's destiny of epic fail.
