Saving a percentage sounds nice and all, but to me it adds unneeded risk. I have been using gyft to buy Amazon for a while and it works great and little no risk. I read that article where a guy was paid a visit by a LEO for using a carded purchase from purse. I just imagine many scammers use that service for coins.

Bitmain need to develop into other algos besides SHA should of continued the adventure with your scrypt miners and then worked on newer algos. Wish prices where good for me on energy as I would be looking into the newer amtminers shame cost to equipment to energy used and shipping tax would never brake even. Does Bitmain have any other distributors across the world or it just subject to one site and no more resellers etc?
Why bother investing into something like Scrypt though? Often to more profitable shit coins are only good for a week at best then die off with a new algo. I did alright with Scrypt for several months, but the profits have dropped off a lot. Mining Bitcoin is still better when you find a good deal on gear.

Space heaters, door stops, or target practice is about it. Some of the HashFast units can be parted out and sold off like the Corsair fans and PSU.

I would be interested in a PoE version of this system if you had that available? Obviously it would cost more, but running coax is a real pain to do. I am after a 4 camera setup with DVR all PoE.

Hi,
I am planning to start a small farm i the next couple of months, my hardware budget is around 20000USD
Should I get the antminer S5 or is there any other/beter hardware comming soon from any company?
Thanks, Sam
Your best bet is to shop used honestly and save some coins. The S5 is a good miner and so are any of the Spondoolies units. You can currently get used S3 for really cheap and they are solid. Currently in the market place there is a good selection for cheaper than retail! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=980433.0https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=974603.0etc...

So basically 2 tubes and a controller for roughly 1BTC seems pretty fair. How much is shipping to the USA if that is an option?
It would depend on location. PM me your postal code and we will try to figure out the most economical shipping option. If you live somewhere close to Toronto or Montreal it would be ideal to drive up and pickup the hardware. I am not really close to the border, but I will send you my postal just to check I guess.

I am excited and kind of not all at the same time. I am just so used to the current BCT that it will be hard to change to something new. Lets hope the new forum transition goes smooth though.

+1 for kano & p2pool
Buy quality power supplies, not 40$ junk.
I have to disagree on p2pool it is horribly neglected. I tried mining it for a month and made less returns. I think p2pool needs a major rework or it will remain barely used compared to owned pools. Yes buy good PSU or they will fry. Corsair, EVGA, or modded server PSU. A month on p2pool isn't really enough to compare, but I know what you're saying. It needs some loving. If p2pool has 1% of the total network hashrate, I think it would still work in it's current form, though. Well I think that the dev has left it and many are moving from it now. I wish it was well maintained and worked better, but it is probably too late now. I think over the next few years the big setups will be the only ones left mining on their own private pools. ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)

I would be interested in a few miners, but not all of the other stuff. You really should break this up some many have power ready to go.

I don't have a key for 3 computers, but I could get you a Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 - 1 PC 9 Months Key for 0.02 BTC (bought it here) That could work you good with escrowing it?
|
|
|
You should have taken the 10BTC and then not let up on them. You would then get some of your lost coins back ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) The fact that they even offered makes them look REALLY bad.

I am looking for a Bitdefender license that covers 3 computers. I would be paying via BTC and using escrow.
