Also a lot of the hardware they have put out has seen different revisions.  I think the USBs went through a few different versions before the Sapphire release which rocked, even the Cube that came out has different revs of miniblades...  Even the firmware on the Cube takes time to put together.  This is new gen to them, so I don't think they'll be able to hammer off boards this weekend but they will probably be pushing as hard as they can.  I know that when I buy a next gen Block Erupter I'll want it to be thoroughly tested and tuned!

Also, unfortunately...  We went to order some random cables from China this week and today they told us they were taking off for their holiday (Chinese New Year).  They said they'd be back in the office Feb 8th.  This may apply to many of the suppliers and services they may need to use in the next few weeks.  So they might not only be able to start working mid-Feb.  But... Again, I have no idea what I'm talking about, just going from common sense really.

I'm loving the name, mc_lovin, one of my favorite films, but I'm not sure what "ordering some random cables from China" has to do with AM working on next-gen chips. I humbly suggest the two are not connected. I'd also suggest you get your cables elsewhere because your "cable guys" are pulling a fast one Wink

I'm just saying that there are probably a lot of little parts to order and they may have difficulties at this time to obtain them.  I'm not saying because this one company is taking 3 weeks off that everyone will.  I'm just saying maybe, there may be delays in the next little while.  Apparently officially it's Jan31st and lasts for about a week.  I'm not Chinese, I don't live there or study their culture, just that there are companies shutting down early, some working right through, who the hell knows.  But tapeout = Jan 20th does not equal a shipping product.  The key point of my pointless post was that mid-February is the EARLIEST you can expect something.  I would say March.

If tapeout is now how is it possible to see hardware in march?
I'm interested in this too

They can have chips today, but they haven't got actual physical hardware in hand yet.  They would need to develop boards, tune them, and send the final designs to get mass produced.  I can't see this process being under a month.

I really have no idea what I'm talking about but chips =/= hardware.  Successful tapeout is AMAZING news but that doesn't mean they will be on a shelf at a store near you tomorrow.  They still need to get the rest of it sorted out.  Be mid-Feb at the earliest unless they are magicians.

I would not expect an update from friedcat today.  In the past we have always gotten an update a few days after major dates like this pass, and only rarely did we get info same day.  In other words... do not panic when its the 21st and there is no news.

Yeah, it wasn't guaranteed Jan.20th tapeout.  That was the estimated date.  I expect new hardware late February - early March at the earliest.  But I sure anticipate a friedcat post Smiley

I am gauging interest in these T-Shirts.  How do you like them?  They are $30 each at current prices.

Those look strikingly familiar!  http://www.wtcr.ca/catalog/product/sh-abflw-01

Can be bought for 0.02 BTC Smiley
167  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 125 Block Erupter USBs + one 49 port hub = 4 BTC shipped on: November 20, 2013, 10:58:15 PM
Greetings!

I have a lot of 125 Block Erupter USBs for sale.  I see these are selling like hotcakes on eBay right now (going from $50+ regularly) and they are basically sold out everywhere, I have a bunch for sale.  I won't part them out though.  I'd like to see the 49 port go along with them so it is included in 4 BTC.  I think I paid 4 BTC for 8 of these so to get 125 of them is an incredible deal.

I have someone interested in the lot at the moment so I'm posting this here in case someone is interested.  All miners are opened but working great.

Shipping within North America is included.  Super fast UPS Express is also available for cheap, inquire for the rate.

Pics available on request.

edit: the USBs are mostly black, red, and yellow (gold).  I think 10 silvers in there.

インジケータライトレンズ = Indicator Light Lens

If I knew exactly what part I was looking for from the make and model, I would be able to obtain an OEM part number, then use that number while searching Japanese sites, translating back and forth along the way.

If you can find this thing, we would probably pay a bounty on the part number!  Any leads would be most excellent.

It's a 1989 Toyota MR2 Super Edition.  The last 270 MR2s to ever roll off the production line were Super Editions, there is only 1 in North America and he has it.  In these catalogues though, it seems that the G-Limited and other models might have that part as an option.  There were also a few white Super Editions made in 1988, whereas all the 1989's were Midnight Blue with mirror T-Tops + Recaro seats.  Not exactly a lot of extras...

Note that the lights aren't on the one in the brochure.  This is the only Super Edition we've seen that has them.  But it is a factory option.

Another picture of the brochure.

Here's a picture of the exact car when they took it off the boat from Japan:

Rear visor text.

and other random toyotas seem to have them.

When I get there tonight I'll scan the pictures in the brochures, try to add more information to the search!

dragonkid.. I see a PS4 and a reminington logo, how is that 7804 + 7805?

173  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can anyone translate this.. Japanese word. on: September 27, 2013, 04:18:23 AM
yeah.  we concluded that the text was too vague to accurately describe what it is.  fender mascot or fender trim/decoration doesn't help much Sad

essentially,

we are trying to figure out what the little fender lights are called on Japanese cars?  little green LEDs, some sort of parking assist thing.  he was cleaning his and the clear lens broke, very difficult to source parts that are on every car and this looks like a factory option.

From a 1989 Toyota MR2 Super Edition Pic

We've seen them on Hondas before and even VW, here's one on a Toyota Soarer.  Just no idea what they are called.  Saw it in a MR2 accessories catalog but if the text just reads 'trim' then the search continues.

Hey!  If anyone happens to speak Japanese.. A friend of mine is looking for a car accessory and we don't know the name of it.  It is listed in a catalog and we scanned the text for it:

Through some translator program we were able to figure out that the first part is the word 'fender' which is right.  We just don't know the last 5 characters.

Let me know if you are able to come up with anything.  There are a lot of apps for phones that do translation but not very many PC programs that do images.

Site is down, this is so unimaginably bad, this is worse than my worst nightmare.

Breathe.  It could be worse.

As worse as GLBSE... thats the limit。 Burnside is still a more responsible man than that.... forgot what hjis name GLBSE owner

Nefario..  James McCarthy or something.  And yeah, it would take weeks of silence to go down to his level.

How about that .00025 of my BTC you are holding onto?

I think the 0.0025 fee reserve should be removed..  Although it is like 30 cents US.

There will be no smooth transition,

Smoother than GLBSE I bet.

i kind of want to buy one of each security at the bottom so I can get random micro-payments to the direct address for the next while.  I still get some payments from GLBSE and I have no idea who is sending them.

as much money as we might be losing right now, its a damn good chance to pick up s'more cheap AM shares and get them withdrawn to directs before the shutdown.
