So it looks like the drop to triple digits isn't going to happen tonight, go figure.

Gotta fix more miners! Finally figuring out the Antminer series, those things are basic as a box of rocks. I always though Bitmain had some super cool tech, naah same basic issues as the rest of them.

C

Handy. Got any you might sell? Cheesy

Yea, confused too.

If that's what they think... Well, buy bitcoin!

Bleh. Don't understand futures.

*anticipates energetically*
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 10, 2017, 08:41:43 PM
Do we actually expect any sudden action today from the futures stuff?
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 10, 2017, 07:28:12 PM
I'm totally fucked at Coinbase. Sitting on an obscene amount of fiat from a recent sale, but don't have access to my Funding/Withdrawal page. Something 'tarded like below is what I'm getting.

Sheeeeeeit.

Why on Earth didn't you do an OTC sale? There's no way I'd trust any exchange with amounts above a few grand. They're too prone to freeze you over AML shite.

How do you do an OTC sale? Do you have to go through itbit, or is there some other route that keeps coins out of an exchange?

Hand them cash, face to face, they send you bitcoin. Or vice versa. Also they could give you a flash drive with a wallet on it.

Been a busy weekend eh guys? CBOE is still a go right? Far as I could find, should kick off at 5pm Chicago time, 4 hours 15 minutes from now.

Be good to us, BTC.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2017, 08:05:38 AM
So with cboe futures on Sunday, I'm thinking coiled spring ready to blow. Not sure of direction, though I'm betting on up... Either way it's going to be insane.

Agree or no?
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2017, 03:22:54 AM
It's like the undead, rising up from the graves to challenge the blockchain just one more time.....

I might have to fire up a couple of Saturns to warm up the house then.... it's getting chilly.

hey, if you ever want to part with them, let me know eh? i'd be happy to take old, not being used miners off of peoples hands.
169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2017, 03:05:51 AM
Just to put this in perspective:

S7's are profitable
KNC Neptunes are profitable
Fucking JUPITERS are profitable.
I'd be willing to bet Monarchs are profitable.

It's that weird....

when the BFL singles are profitable, THEN it's flatly insane.
170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2017, 03:03:37 AM
i'm either insane, or...seeing the obvious rise clearly, i guess? just put in half my paycheck, with hopes of that not being a mistake.

course i screwed myself here, as i hadn't done the paperwork required for a whole WEEK to count towards this check, so it's just the days before thanksgiving...

come on bitcoin, go baby, go.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2017, 07:08:27 PM
Porsches are fun I have owned a few and never regretted the purchase at all. Just don't buy a boat God forbid:)

Why not?

Oh no, donīt start with "boats".  Thats an endless story !

Boats are awesome. The trick is to buy the right boat for your personal needs. And the only way to find that is to go through a few of them.

I started with a motor sailer. Neither motor boat nor real sail boat, it handles like a brick but is a way to figure out if you like free (but slow), or fast (but comparatively expensive) locomotion. Tip: Check fuel use before you buy, not after. Don't wanna get a nasty surprise.

Currently fixing up a sleek and really cool looking motor boat, smaller than the first boat but still large enough for living on for a few weeks at a time. Also planning to get a small sail boat, as in small enough to hoist the mast singlehandedly, just for the hell of it.

speed and such are great, but man, i have to imagine there's nothing like sailing... especially in a smaller craft that can really haul when the wind is right.

realistically though, i rarely care to leave the house, preferring to make stuff, read, games, etc... so owning a boat seems wasteful. now renting one for a month's vacation or something... hmm.

Ok brother - understood and good luck in this great game.

Don't mind him, he pulls the poor boy routine every pump. Thinks we'll ply him with sympathy riches. Undecided

Wow. Fuck you. Every pump I think about my past mistakes and such becuase I regret them, deeply. I'm not digging for sympathy riches. I'm not going to pretend I'm happy and joyful, or sit silently, when I have no real reason to. If I want to vent, let me. If you don't like it, ignore me. But back the fuck off.

If I didn't feel like bitcoin presented a legit chance to change things, both globally and for me personally still, I'd leave, but, well... Here we are.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2017, 03:26:28 AM
Don’t eat, buy a Trezor and get half of them off the exchange and into cold.

I think he meant $35 and not 35 BTC. It would make no sense for someone with 35BTC (probably a very-soon-to-be bitcoin millionaire) whining about his poor judgement/luck.

Yea, dollars. And... I mean the whole 2008 financial crisis certainly didn't help, but to say it's bad luck is just not true. I had mined about 20 btc, and then did the first group buy of usb asicminer block eruptors, which had me at 15 ghash in 2013...was like 3 btc  a week for a bit there.

But I'd just made some dumb choices and said/not said/done things that lead to near homelessness unemployment. Didn't have a stable job again until 2015, so all the btc I had and was mining got spent and was gone before the 2013 bubble.

Ugh. I'll shut up now.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2017, 03:03:36 AM
And then there's me, the true believer... Who is basically totally broke, except for the 35 on bitstamp and whatever my job and birthday (Dec. 8, can't I just stop already?) pay me tomorrow...

I swear, if i could I'd just stick my entire paycheck on stamp and let it triple a few times over...

*ahem* wow that came out more whiny than I thought it would... Turning 36 has me in the dumps, I guess. Thought I'd be... Well, where some of you other legendary account owners are... But I'm dumb and prideful and made stupid decisions and pissed people off instead of finding a way to really to them... Would have made my whole family millionaires by now... Sigh.
177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2017, 09:58:19 PM
NASA logo barf bag ready

The reason you might want a barf bag is that In-Q-Tel was the one buying up all the coins when they were $1, so purchasing bitcoin higher is essentially contributing money to the CIA.  If you think I'm kidding, no.  The only question is how many coins they control which were bought at next to nothing.

evidence or fuck off

This is not new information.

...roach, i've been on this forum since 2011 just after the crash from 30 bucks. iam not familiar with this information. therefore, could you please provide informational links so i may educate myself?
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2017, 09:49:12 PM
i've got a trailing stop sell on bitstamp, ONE DOLLAR behind the price. put it in at 15699 when the price was 15700. IT HASN'T TRIGGERED. what the hell is going on!?

not that i want to SELL, just lock in my current profit.

me too i am having a lot of trailing buys and sells not triggering or going through at the wrong price.. I think the market is too wild?

yea, switched to an instant and did it, went fine.
179  Economy / Goods / custom, handmade knives, swords, axes, tools - Damascus steel! on: December 07, 2017, 09:44:25 PM
I'm neck deep in the handcrafted blade community, though only an amateur myself. i'd be happy to act as a liaison for anyone wanting something custom made to their specifications, from any maker, even if they don't accept bitcoin.

for examples, see https://www.custommade.com/gallery/custom-knives/ but don't feel limited to that site. As a middle man, i'd be happy to act as a bitcoin passthrough for anyone, for only a $2 fee.
180  Economy / Digital goods / Steam Games, get your steam games here! on: December 07, 2017, 09:39:05 PM
yea, i know there's a few different websites offering this already, but hey, it's something i know, so why not, right?

anything on steam i'll buy and sell to you for bitcoin at bitstamp's price +$2 for my trouble. delivery within 2 hours, unless i'm asleep. i'm in the US, so that may effect certain prices or availabilities.
