1601  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Sapphire 5970 - in US 2.9BTC on: June 08, 2013, 07:22:15 PM
ridiculous price is ridiculous

Oh, now you are the expert on prices of used video cards? If you have nothing to add to a post, please stay the F out of it with your useless opinion. Noticed you didn't even make a low-ball offer.... Roll Eyes
2.9 price is fine, but I think you'll end up having to sell it on ebay or amazon.

so far i've sold 1 card via these forums and 4 via ebay/amazon
1602  Economy / Digital goods / delete on: June 08, 2013, 07:12:55 PM
nm, going to ebay etc
1603  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Price Suggestion on 6990 and 3 5970's on: June 05, 2013, 10:54:57 AM
5970 - $300-$350
6990 - $450-$550
yah, $300-$350 is what i was thinking for 5970's as well.

but i was told by someone else that nobody on these forums would buy them at those prices, and im inclined to agree

esp after failing to sell 5830 for $75 and 5870 for $135 (both including priority shipping charges), when they go for about 25-40% more than that on ebay or amazon, which makes it more profitable to sell there, even after fees are deducted AND including risks associated from chargebacks
1604  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 3x Sapphire 5830 on: June 05, 2013, 10:52:41 AM
nm, mine sold on amazon for $90

first to decipher it wins

1606  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Graphics Cards Cheap on: June 04, 2013, 09:16:58 PM
What kind of hashrates were you getting with the 7850s?

i find 330 is optimum without changes in voltage @ 1050/900, but that requires "good cooling", i usually get 315 average over a day

i run mine at 1100/185, they max out at around 65oC.  it's like 325-330

these 2 cards are in about 78oF ambient temp though as opposed to the others
1607  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Price Suggestion on 6990 and 3 5970's on: June 04, 2013, 09:09:54 PM
Have a 6990 mining less then 2 months running stock clock but with memory dropped to 550

pulling 800mhs temps around 75c

2 x 5970's with danger den water blocks running 4-5 months
clocks at 810mhz mem 550
doing 700 mhs at around 45c

5970 stock air running 2-3 months
clocks at 790 mhz mem 250
doing 680mhs at around 70c

What would you pay in btc each?

thanks

i would take off the water blocks, put back on the other stuff, sell the waterblocks and 5970 on ebay, the last 48 hrs they've had an avg sell value of a bit over $400.  about $350 after fees if you dont have a shop.  still more than you'd get from anyone on here, i think.

for the 6990, you could possibly get a competitive price for it on this forum
1608  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 3x Sapphire 5830 on: June 04, 2013, 05:52:46 PM
bump.
you didn't take the $250?

i have three that I tried to sell on here earlier for $75+$75+$60 (last was missing a fan), and nobody replied.  how bizarre

oh, and if he didnt take the $250, i'll take $150 for my two, provided you live in the continental US and send me bitcoins first

ah.  i see now.  hmm.  well, sorta.  i think i posted mine on like may 15th?  but 3 week old thread

ed: provided they havent sold on amazon yet, i havent checked that email yet today
1609  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Sapphire 5970 - in US on: June 04, 2013, 10:53:41 AM
I have a sapphire 5970 that I use to hash away. Right now its enjoying serving me some PPcoin (just cuz). Its getting about 630mh/s with stock settings (I haven't really played with this card) as you can see both GPU's are working fine. I just replaced the fan as it was getting noisy, never overheated (I cleaned off the thermal paste and replaced with fresh arctic silver) the old fan had bad bearings. Sounds like new now. I'm in no hurry to rid it, but time to move on from it. I'll go for offers right now to see if anyone is even interested.

I take offer in BTC/LTC maybe other altcoins if I feel like it  ...escrow willing, you pay fees and shipping. John K would be my escrow recommendation, but you may pick who you like as long as I trust as well.

I have had other sales on this forum (just search) one recent and one or two from a couple years back no negative feedback. Ebay feedback/paypal/etc. all verifiable.

Thank you!
ah, 80oC... damn scrypt

if someone buys this fellow's 5970 and wants some more, i have some i can sell too

Thats not scrypt Smiley ...but, I have the TRIXX fan settings on 'automatic' and I tend to think it lets it get hot. Usually, I like to customize the fan speed, but that may have been what wore out the other fan's bearings. If i set it to 80% around 77oC, its LOOUUUUDD!! Smiley ....but it can stay cool if you don't mind parking an airplane in your home for hours on end.
oh yeah.... haha.. i never leave those fans on automatic...   yeah, they still go like 50% at 75oC or something  Grin

I have 3 fully working 5970's and one that works about 75% (one core on it gets some hardware errors).

Dunno how much it costs to ship to Poland, but I'd sell the 3 working ones for $900 + shipping

oh, wait, nm, was just assuming bitcoin payment, wouldnt be able to take paypal, esp internationally
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good bye LTC? on: June 03, 2013, 11:46:36 AM
litecoin's price will be tied to bitcoin's price, just as it always has been.  price of bitcoins goes down, litecoin value goes down

the bots will make sure of it
1613  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [700GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 02, 2013, 03:01:21 PM
yah, it 'makes' it submit stales, since p2pool stales arent network stales

and orphans are much worse than DOA, in most cases DOA is just a matter of your latency to wherever you are mining at, orphans means wherever you are mining at isnt propagating it's shares fast enough (or occasionally you'll get screwed when someone that was rly slow happens to get two in a row)

i use more resources using my home computer for essentially the same % of lost shares as I get mining at nogleg.  they're just orphans instead of DOA.   but if you're some person that wants to mine at a remote pool, you certainly wouldnt want to mine at my home pool getting all the orphans, since then you'd still get just as many orphans + the DOAs associated with your latency
1614  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 5970 Highest OC without Overvolt? on: June 02, 2013, 02:55:29 PM
835/825/795/845 mem 140 @ stock max 1.05v

or

905/920/850/945 mem 150/150/145/155 @ 1.112/1.125/1.1/1.125

possibly higher, i just wasnt willing to test past 1.125.

ive determined it's useless to post on here, and i dont want to sell something that i potentially wont have, due to having listings on ebay and amazon
1616  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Best GPU cards for mining on sale - really cheap on: June 02, 2013, 07:37:26 AM
actually they are not the BEST gpu cards for mining, they are pretty carp cards for mining and overpriced. i sold my 6850 months ago for 50euro...

Overpriced? You sold your used card, did you? How much you think should cost a new one?

Try to find better price for it. I looked for:
176$ on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-E-Video-100315L/dp/B0047ZGIUK
170$ on NCIX http://ncix.com/products/?sku=56356&vpn=EAH6850%20DC/2DI2S/1GD5&manufacture=ASUS

And it still best card for mining in terms of cost/hashrate. 300MH/125$ = 2.4. No other card today make this ratio. It's a fastest card to break even.

these prices don't matter.  i think all three of these cards have essentially been discontinued, so they aren't made anymore

best price comparisons would be for used cards on ebay

for 5750, the avg is around $50, but the person selling this will only get about $42 of that $50

6850 is around $90 (though I see several that went unsold at $75), clearing about $75.50

I need about $1300 worth of bitcoins, but I've never used reloadit before... how exactly does it work?   Is it just a $4 fee on the initial purchase?  I didn't see anything about paying a fee on transferring to someone else?
1620  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS partial farm (6990, 7970, 7950 etc) CPU, mobo ram PSU on: May 31, 2013, 04:45:51 PM
Hey, I will not list prices, but you can figure with about 25-30% of retail unless stated otherwise. I will only accept crypto (LRC, btc, crypto) I will accept escrow. Shipping from Canada, you can plan a flat rate of roughly 20$ max per item, will quote for multiple.

5x 6990 (will sell these for 325$ each(
2x 7970 power color
4 x 7950 (3x gigabyte, 1 x sapphire)
1x 5970 (190$)
1x NZXT 1000w PSU
1x 1600w Rosewill Hercules

1x Gigabyte 990fxa UD5
1x NEW but open box eVGA Z68 FTW
1x 8320 FX AMD
1x 8350 FX AMD

1x dead 7970 (70$)

Might add some more. You can also ask me for trivial stuff like risers, ram ETC.

Reason to sell is my farm is currently too big for my power when the A/Cs are on. So gotta part with some of it and those are the ones I shutdown.

And I won't go super low since most of the hardware is only 2 months old and has been ran under clocked and baby sat.

that is super cheap on that 5970, they go for about $350-$400 on eBay (6990's also go for $450+)

though if you still want to sell it for $190, I'm keen...  also, how much for the 7950s?
