1621  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: November 25, 2015, 06:37:07 PM
Just signed up, but reading people aren't getting paid  Huh

I've seen signature payments be delayed, but they're usually good about this.

How long have people waited? Weeks?  If not...just be patient?

From day 1 - Vegas promised an interesting but, possibly bumpy ride on this flight.

The more interesting the better  Wink What's up with the new wallet?  Don't want to send my coin to an outdated wallet...
1623  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: November 25, 2015, 03:00:07 AM
find rich wife
haha good option unless it is a woman who do not really like sex. That would make you really unhappy.

Ok, so you would rather have a wife that loved sex, but is poor?

If you could choose between a rich wife with no sex, or a poor wife with the best sex whenever you want, you'd choose the latter?

What does that say about the nature of man?

In the end, greed may destroy us all!

1627  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: My first miner! Where should I point it? on: November 23, 2015, 12:15:05 AM
Hi guys,

I just received my first miner - a USB sapphire.  I know it's pretty much useless nowadays, but the thing was $5...figured I might as well mess around and learn the ropes  Shocked

Where would be a good place to start mining (SHA256)?  Should I point the thing at whatever new shitcoin comes along & pray its value rises? Solo mine a less-shittier-shitcoin and hope to win big?  I've only successfully connected to LEAcoin, where the pool said I was hashing @ 900+ MH/s...when the miner was advertised @ 330MH/s  Huh

Thanks in advance for any help, I'm sure more questions will pop up here soon  Tongue

Sure, slush is good, go ahead with that. But don't expect to make much with this. Smiley

Don't do any altcoin, stick to BTC. It would be simpler too. Anyhow just keep in mind that it will take a very long time just to make it over the minimum dust payment threshold. And when you do there will be a fee of ... 100k satoshi, is it?

Why do you say 'stick to BTC'?  I figure as I'm going up against everything from single ant S7's to giant mining farms, it'd prove a higher chance to mine some random altcoin with the hopes its price rises one day.  Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Good luck devs!

1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Backdoor in 1337 wallet...?! on: November 11, 2015, 06:21:25 AM
Now the download clean...but prior to posting this, it wasn't....

People must always draw their own conclusions, but why would a backdoor suddenly show up ONLY in my 1337 wallet, out of the 20+ wallets on my PC - 99% of which are of higher volume/popularity?  I haven't downloaded anything since the 1337 wallet - it doesn't make sense that something would magically, yet deliberately infect this specific directory....

TillKoeln, just wanted to state that I have nothing against you!

I've traded many of your coins in the past & had no problems similar to this.

Just very, very odd...never seen something like this before.

Want to make sure everyone else checks their stuff as well!
1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Backdoor in 1337 wallet...?! on: November 10, 2015, 08:50:54 PM

any explanations?

edit: not pointing any fingers; curious if anyone else has seen this too.  could be from anywhere
1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone staking Sprouts? on: November 09, 2015, 07:40:51 PM
Hello there.

I just began staking some SPROUTS, it is a POS coin, and would like to hear about other user's experiences on staking it. I have noticed that the coins have lost about a 20% value since I first bought them and not really sure if it is better to hold and stake or sell them before more loses come in...
Yes they are worth staking but at a much higher block rate of x00,000,000 this way you can get your 10% in about 5-6 days but remember you still get 2% every day after 5 days!!! But I will leave the link here to our community because were just getting started with this coin its almost ready to really take off! Also just added a Lucky faucet and also a mac wallet with a mobile one OTW!!! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1103868.msg12917019#msg12917019

Is anyone working on the mobile app, I haven't heard anything about one... Although I would love to use one!

etoque, what's the bitcoinwisdom link for VNL? I tried a few URLs but none worked  Huh

Bitcoinwisdom doesn't have a lot of coins. If you want to see graphs and want to do TA go to:
https://cryptrader.com/charts/poloniex/vnl/btc

Every exchange and every coin is on here! Cheesy

Good luck

Holy crap,didn't know this one,Thanks !

1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do You Look For in an Altcoin? on: November 09, 2015, 12:06:00 AM
Hey guys,
I'm writing a short booklet on how to buy altcoins for the "buy and hold" sort of investor; how to avoid scam coins, signs that a coin has a good base, identifying trolls, gauging a developer, getting community feedback, etc.

I was wondering if some of you guys could tell me what you look for in an investment coin/what steps you take before investing. Booklet should be done in a couple of weeks (I'm half way in); Ill have it professionally edited and then Ill submit it on KDP. I am happy to provide free copies to anyone who posts a lead Smiley.

Thanks for taking the time,
Pablo.

This book should only be a few sentences short.  One of which should read, preferably in bold, "Nobody knows what'll happen to your investment."

How long does it take to load up the wallet?

I've installed it, loaded the bootstrap, and it wouldn't load....added a conf file & still nothing...any clues?

Or does it take hours?

1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is too expensive => Buy Anti on: November 07, 2015, 08:27:15 PM
How is Bitcoin too expensive?

You can buy however many BTC you want. You can purchase items with BTC at the same price as with fiat

You can hype your coin without putting down others...
