1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ION [ION] | ICO LIVE | PoS 3.0 | Mobile Gaming | Join the ionomy today! on: May 02, 2016, 03:21:59 PM
There's literally nothing being marketed here...they're just listing random statistics (wtf do those gamer spending statistics have to do with ANYTHING) and using fancy words to describe another random crapcoin:

Quote
Players receive token called “electrons” to reward their accomplishments in solo games and in sponsored tournaments. The electrons encourage increased engagement because they can be used in games and on the ionomy.com platform. On the website, they will be a coveted asset because they help investors earn ION more quickly. As players engage with ionomy.com through the platform and social games, they earn reputation opening up further incentives and opportunities to redeem reward.

ok, so you hold a bunch of random coins like every other crypto

Quote
The ionomy.com platform also offer a full featured financial platform that’s easy to use. Web-based wallets for both ION and Bitcoin (BTC) make it easy for users to store, send, and receive coin. Users can deposit ION into staking wallets to get more ION at fixed rates of return, paid daily. Users can trade Bitcoin and ION on a live exchange available on launch. The platform also allows instant conversion from most cryptocurrencies directly to ION.

wow a web wallet I don't have five of those bookmarked already

Quote
In addition to the web wallets on ionomy.com, individuals can store their ION on local private wallets. They are built for all major operating system. Anyone with their own wallet can earn ION staking rewards by keeping ION in their wallet and keeping their wallet connected to the internet. Intermediate and advanced users with 20,000 ION can host “masternodes.” Both wallets and masternodes help maintain and secure the network. They are rewarded with ION for that work. See the ION technical white paper for details.

OMG a desktop wallet too.  This is revolutionary!  And you even have the option of spending $5,000 to 'help maintain the network'

I must applaud you for the fine PR/design/marketing job. This was put together really well & if i hadn't actually read the walls of text on the site I might've thought 'investing' in this ICO was any excuse for a smart move!  Cheers Smiley

They are saying the web market profit is that and everyone will come to ionomy!!! fudder!!! they don't even state facts like if we could capture just 1% of that market it would mean x. They just go the gaming market is worth $10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 invest in ionomy.

Thank you - glad I'm not the only one who sees no correlation between all the random statistics and this "ION" "product"

Even the very beginning of the OP:

Quote
ION is an all new cryptocurrency dedicated (so buy ION if you like videogames - that's it?) to mobile gaming, and most importantly: Fun. ION is for anyone who loves the internet, games, cryptocurrency, earning, and all things fun (but what does it do?).

Since its inception, Cryptocurrency has struggled to reach the masses due to its complexity and difficult barriers of entry. ION changes that. The objective of the ION is to make it easy for any user to enter the crypto space and allow them to learn in an incredibly intuitive and easy way (you literally buy and sell the same as any other crypto?). Multiple tiers of accessibility from mobile to desktop will make the platform an option for nearly all users of the internet (can't we already do that with countless coins that integrate mobile/desktop apps?).

To clarify - I have no reason to be talking negatively about this or any coin; I strive to be as neutral as possible.  But ION is asking for a very large amount of money for a service that's already available, and they're advertising this coin as if it will bring something new to the table in regard to gaming.  Using buzz words isn't cool when you have nothing to show for it...pretty much false advertising

How does this bitsquare app work - do I create an ESPERS wallet inside that program, or withdraw/deposit some other way?  The only thing I see available is a bitcoin wallet  Shocked

1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: May 02, 2016, 01:54:14 AM
What is great about Bisquare is that you can create order with less than satoshi per ESP Cool

0.0001BTC for 10 milion ESP which is 0.00000000001BTC per ESP which is minimum sell order - 0.0001BTC?

Wow that IS awesome.  I'm setting up bitsquare now...when creating a new ESP account, do I enter an address from my ESP wallet?  Or something else entirely?
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 02, 2016, 01:41:54 AM
Can someone give me an update on what's been happening since the dev team announced the "release date for real guys we swear"?

Any new info; what the hell is going on with this discussion I jumped in to  Cheesy; etc. etc.?

Or has it finally come time for me to announce my new shop accepting btc for pitchforks and torches?
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [SELL] YOVI cryptocurrency on: May 01, 2016, 11:50:16 PM
i see this exchange not really good,is this trusted exchange?
and i'm also wondering about yovi trade, its 0.0% volume there,is yovi will fill the volume soon?or people already in trade list?

cryptopia is trusted exchange for this time. I have an account there, withdrawal and deposit is fast
we can sell or buy there. but at yobit exchange we can't sell it is still ROM.

Why you can't sell? And what is a ROM coin?!?

ROM is Rise Only Market, meaning you can only sell for higher than the last sale.  Yobit messed up though, and didn't implement this as a token in the coin.  They just modified their market code to only allow rise only......since this ROM idea wasn't part of protocol, the coin is worthless and can be sold for any amount, any time if another exchange decides to add the coin Smiley

1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Android Mini PCs on: May 01, 2016, 11:24:39 PM
I think BURST has an Android mining app out now, that basically mines using your harddisk space.

I'm actually installing a second hard drive to my PC for the purpose of BURST mining  Wink The mini PC doesn't have much space on it, so I'd rather find a different use for it.  Thanks for the motivation to get started with BURST on my PC, though!
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Android Mini PCs on: May 01, 2016, 11:16:35 PM
I have a quad core mini PC running Android 4.4.4 (description here).  Wondering if there are any popular/profitable altcoins that I could use this device in conjunction with - for example, setting up a dedicated node or plain old PoS (unless the coin is dead).

Anyone have other ideas for what I could do with this device, in regards to crypto?  I could probably flash the device & run linux on it, even get a linux app (?) if that opens up any possibilities (for example, something impossible on stock android).

If anyone is running a node or mining PoS on android, please list which coin(s) here!

Thanks in advance for any ideas

Can somone do the math, because it seems like you'd have to spend an excessive amount of time on your ass, posting a bunch of B.S. to get 1 btc in a month or two  Roll Eyes

Free Trial miners are going nuts on this, of course another dump will be incoming...... just saying.

"Free Trial"? What do you mean?

Those sell orders are disappearing nicely Smiley

Wonder how long until 2 sat?  Shocked
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SLOCK.IT (THE DAO) Crowdsale open! DISCUSSION THREAD on: April 30, 2016, 04:17:51 PM
I don't get it, you buy DAO tokens just so you have the ability to discuss proposals? Sounds worthless in that regard...why not just create a different forum and do the same thing there? I'm genuinely curious, not bashing this. Just don't have time to read the paper at the moment Smiley
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: April 30, 2016, 03:51:09 AM
Update

Total won from yobit 260 mil esp
Traded 160 mil to doge at novaexchange must have made some doge sellers real happy
Have 160k of doge to use as collateral at poloniex
Personal espers holding at 400 mil
0.3 btc of profits from margin trading,

Future winings will be sent back to wallet I think I have enough collateral unless I wanna trade eth
lost millions on nova dice (~200M) due to dysfunctional bot when i was out!!! eh.. I think I need some sleep  Grin Grin

Damn but I bet u feel rich , able to lose millions, guess I won your coins than

i told that play dice on yobit was better than mining but i just did 60 milion today i will not push my luck too much

rig working on ETH

and i am mining espers manually Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

That's just wrong I used 100 mil to win 260 mil , but u have 2 billion should have broke yobit by now . You need to win more so that yobit has to buy the coin to make payments and bring down that wall , every espers you win yobit needs to buy

How does selling work then? If there is 100btc worth of 1sat sells, are they bought in order? For example, I place an order, then you place an order after ten other people do....

Oh well, pulling my order anyway... Was only a few million.  Keeping them ESP, as we all should be doing Smiley

wouldnt it be better to vectorize it and import it to blender3d ?

vectorize a 3d model usally gives bad result, same thing for graphics with gradients, but i'm not sure that the logo is made with blender can be a pesudo 3d raster image made with Photoshop, but if is a 3d model there isn't a problem PS by some years can handle 3d models too.

Pesudo 3d in photoshop for the glossy images, but there's versions in illustrator. All 2d so far =)

For the sake of merchandising I've not supplied anyone the .psd or .ai files.

If anyone would like a shirt, coffee mug or other cool items with the Espers theme-

Are there any ESP logo / text / design etc. files you could share? Only asking because I had to resist the urge to just use what was posted  Cheesy

I'm working on design(s) for the wallet & could use as many resources as possible in order to create some good looking theme(s)....even links to related resources.  And dawg...you know me...credit will be given, obviously  Tongue
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: N99 - MAIDSAFE - CROWDSALE DISCUSSION on: April 29, 2016, 06:07:22 PM
How people get funding for stuff like this is beyond me.  millions of dollars just thrown at random people who (99% of the time) produce nothing in return, let alone what was promised.  soooo shady Undecided
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: April 29, 2016, 05:53:30 PM
If it would like to be CPU only for a while then theres M7M (v2) PoW hash function from Magicoin which is still CPU only I believe

I was following Magi religiously when they first started, but after a short amount of time this same situation occurred, now there are GPU's raping the mining pools :/ I'm not sure if they took any steps to circumvent that, but GPUs kicked a huge amount of people off the pools  Embarrassed

Do we have the resources for a testnet?  Might as well try out the proposed algorithm first, right?
