1101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there a "West"? Is the "West" responsible for all the troubles of the world? on: March 15, 2016, 12:44:31 AM
EVIDENCE! Zionism controls the west and they will do anything to get their hands on the rest of the world

http://beforeitsnews.com/israel/2015/08/evidence-zionism-controls-the-west-and-they-will-do-anything-to-get-their-hands-on-the-rest-of-the-world-2453646.html

Excellent source.  I love how they're still milking the FEMA camps....so now we're being herded into the gas chambers in 2017?  I thought we were already supposed to be implanted with microchips?  Every year, they claim the FEMA lockdown will happen later and later...

The sad thing is, their shitty conspiracy theories could look so much more believable if they just dropped the shitty photoshops and worded their sentences better.
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are a prisoner's dilemma and not possible to beat Bitcoin on: March 15, 2016, 12:39:48 AM
This means, yes, your Borgcoin is probably not going to be worth shit.

Sure.

Wanna know something else?  Your bitcoin is probably not going to be worth shit either, one day.  Same with every currency, it rises, falls, becomes obsolete, and dies.  What's important is selling your borgcoin for the next form of currency before it becomes worthless.

Of course altcoins won't beat bitcoin, that's why there called altcoins.  But you can still make money/btc off them, and that's why people use them.  Pretty sure 99% of altcoin users know that their coin isn't gonna 'beat' bitcoin, but they still make a profit using their alts in the short term.
1103  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why is Poloniex so often offline? on: March 15, 2016, 12:34:36 AM
Who would DDoS poloniex, and WTF would someone gain by doing so?  Mess up ETH trading for a couple hours?  I don't get it

Or is Poloniex doing this on purpose...but for what reason, who knows...can't trust anyone these days

1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Greenshiiling - new generation currency on: March 15, 2016, 12:31:46 AM
Quote
Benefits of Greenshilling
• Payment Freedom
• Control and security
• Transparency of Information
• Extremely affordable – very low fees
• Fewer risks for merchants

I don't see one benefit to using this coin over...anything else, really.  Got a sales pitch to win us over?

Is anyone conducting an investigation into the addresses related to this whole fiasco, to try and uncover where all the missing funds went?
1107  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CRYPTSY MAKES DEAL WITH HACKERS TO RETURN STOLEN 13,000 BTC, PAYS 13% FEE on: March 14, 2016, 02:26:43 AM
When the piss-poor excuse of 'hackers stole our BTC' was followed by 'we'll give a 1.5k+ BTC reward to whomever returns it', I knew this was all an inside job by the pathological liar BigFern. He (or someone he's working with) will simply return all the funds in question, and make off with the rest (aka 'bounty').

This is pathetic....looks like Vern is now 1750BTC richer, and no one will bat an eyelid.

You should be good.  I download the text file and take screeshots.

Thanks a lot. Might just buy more Smiley

Hi guys,

Glad to finally be a part of Lisk Smiley

Quick question: what now?!

Per OP, I've documented & saved the three phrases/keys/what have you that were generated for this purchase.  Now do I just...wait until ICO is over?  When hopping on the lisk train, I didn't realize my ICO buy also came with a bonus: a free, lingering feeling of anxiety as my funds are floating around somewhere out of my grasp  Embarrassed

Not that I expect to be scammed - the only thing that had me worried was that, although I used a mobile device to purchase LISK, there was no option to 'download keys' as seen in this image.  Despite this, I do have the 'Keys have been accepted' status upon receiving my three different keys/ten word phrase/whatever the last one is (hash?)

Just making sure I'm not missing anything here.  Just want to see that gray arrow turn blue!  Thanks in advance Smiley

Can someone help me out with this please?  The troll below my post totally derailed everything  Undecided

1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: March 12, 2016, 05:04:15 AM
Please visit https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1388584.new#new in order to support the book on Anoncoin I am writing.  Help from the community is warmly welcome.

I don't understand.

Why should I pay ten or twenty dollars for a book, whose contents are filled with all the information I can find here, for free?  Not to mention, it'd be outdated almost immediately ahhhh you sly dog - now I understand why only 'the first year' is covered  Wink

But still, I'm looking through your dogecoin book & seeing that almost all the content is what you'd typically see upon googling 'dogecoin'

...and wait a sec, the cover says 'history of the first year' but there are multiple years documented! I TAKE BACK MY STRIKETHROUGH!

(I'm not bashing you as a writer by any means, as I have my own journalistic outlets...but due to the nature of the subject matter that I cover, I've never attempted to sell the information I release/make money through ads, etc.)

Just can't wrap my head around this one
1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verge/XVG wallet-transfer issue on: March 12, 2016, 04:44:35 AM
Flame suit on...

I joined C-Cex and deposited btc there for buying other altcoin. I purchased some XVG, withdrew it from C-Central to my Verge wallet and about 12 hours later, my wallet is still empty. When I check block experts, it appears that the transfer has completed. Are my coins gone, vanished into the ether...or am I a complete idiot? Thanks for any guidance.

Chris

Usually your first step in these types of situations would be to log a support ticket with the exchange....
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum being added to Bitfinex on Monday on: March 12, 2016, 04:43:28 AM
"While we are generally wary of adding new digital assets to the platform and believe that Ether’s future as a store of value is quite uncertain, it is, nonetheless, hard to ignore the huge profits for exchanges that we've been missing out on."

Seems too risky to hop in now. Woke up yesterday & saw all my sell orders completed at a much lower price than what it is now :/ profit is a profit I guess, good luck to the rest of you Smiley

1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: March 09, 2016, 05:34:34 PM
What's going on here?

Why is this CLI popping up? I'm running v1.0.0.0-g-beta on Win7 64bit...should I be using a different wallet version?

This version crashes when clicking the VPN button.  Just...disappears...and if you click the X, to close the wallet, the command line remains.

Also, to whomever is designing the wallet:

when you mouse over the VPN option, its border is significantly smaller than the other tabs:

But this is just a small design issue that my OCD picked up on Smiley
1118  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: March 09, 2016, 04:55:28 PM
The only correct answer should be: save, until the price of the coin rises high enough to make a profit. Then sell.
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: March 08, 2016, 06:11:24 PM
Someone can give feedback about Linux wallet?

It gives me an error on my Mint 64bit (undefined symbol: _ZN6QDebugD1Ev).
Already reported to Shape, he's probably working on fixing things now.

Finally someone talking about the wallet Smiley
Anybody else having this issue?

Win 64bit:

After closing wallet, command line windows remains.

Also got a socket: 0 error in the CLI, not shown there
