Christ, it sounds like they did everything they could to keep the truth from their customers, and now all is fucked.

What we need are exchanges that are actually run by businessmen and not computer geeks and such.  Geeks have an important part in this, but these exchanges need people who know how to run an exchange, know what I mean?  It sounds like no one put on their problem-solving hats when they found out about the trojan.

Cryptsy did put on their problem-solving hats...hiding the truth for maximum profits was the solution, it seems.    Roll Eyes

Why can't I burn my FIND?!

I sell my balance into the buy order, yet it's just placed as a new sell order...at the same exact price as the burn rate.

WTF  Huh

SUCH a coincidence as random errors occur along with movement @ yobit.  Same thing happened with CUBE recently.  Totally not suspicious at all Cheesy

Lookslike Yobit is staking deposited coins and selling them maybe? No deposits or withdrawals....

Yup, some shady stuff happening there.

I'd put money on yobit being the next exchange to fall, after craptsy.  They've certainly been heading down that route with all the ICO and scams happening there - unfortunately for us, and fortunately for them - they're playing it a lot smarter by staying quiet with almost everything.  Can't even see a freakin' withdraw address, let alone any timestamps when you want to know why your transactions haven't completed 48 hours after confirming them  Cry
1286  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 16, 2016, 08:04:42 AM

That wallet address was first funded at approximately lunchtime in Florida on July 29, 2014, the day of Cryptsy's inside job of stealing ten million dollars.
CRYPTSY WAS AN INSIDE JOB, NEVER FORGET!!!!

FBI YOU CAN PAY US PI FEES IF YOU WANT SINCE WE'RE DOING MOST OF THE LEG WORK Grin 😄

If only the FBI would actually use their power for socially justifiable cases like this, instead of using btc to buy drugs off silk road ;_;
1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hearn's "Faith in Humanity Shaken" after People Awaken to His EVIL Plan! on: January 16, 2016, 03:26:22 AM
Hearn simply does not understand bitcoin.

LOL what?! And you understand bitcoin?  Who are you to know more than Hearn?

He thinks it is suppose to be Paypal with super fast transactions.  There are already technologies to do fast transactions, not sure why someone would want
to change bitcoin to do that and more importantly why?  You don't need bitcoin to do fast transactions.  Ask Visa.  They did it and are very successful at it.

Ok...so by your logic, bitcoin is trying to be like paypal simply because they want transactions to occur super fast.  WHO WOULDN'T?  Do you want to sit around and wait just to see if a transaction was successful?  Secondly, you're implying that Visa...is trying to be like....paypal...because they have super fast transactions....but they're successful...and okay in your book...but bitcoin?  HELL NO.  EVERYONE MUST OWN PAPER BTC WALLETS AND SNAIL MAIL THEM.

dude are you for real  Shocked

CUBE  is now the most secure BTC investment.
Okay, I can handle the day dreamers and the foolish investors thinking this coin is going anywhere but you are wrong. Not even close to right just wrong. There is no data you have that can prove you right.

How is this for data? Smiley  From 2 BTC to nearly 30 BTC in just a few short months

WTF MAN  Shocked you pop up after four days just to post THIS?!!! Everyone here is crapping their pants and having wild CUBE orgies in your honor, we just sacrificed a BigFern & Horus effigy to overlord Satoshi in your honor; to welcome the StakeStick's first coming upon Earth.  Does our worship not satisfy the almighty DigiCube?  How can we repent for our sins?  What must we offer in return for the final descent of StakeStick?  Shocked

Horus, when was the last time you spoke with Paul? Do you have any means of contacting him? Do we even know it was actually Paul E Vernon posting on that blog?

Paul is actually only with access to that blog ( that I know of )

Three simple questions seeking simple answers, yet the only one addressed was the one we least cared about. What are the odds?

Alright, Last time I spoke to Paul was asking when he was going to announce the second announcement he mentioned in the phishing blog post.

He said within a couple days.  Only means of contact I have with Paul is through skype. And I rarely get an answer there. I never really had to speak with him directly as my bosses could handle most of my issues.

Are you fucking kidding me? Skype? that's it? Not even his phone number or something? Do you guys not even have an internal chat server or something?

WHoa! Skype? OMG Tell me they didn't use Skype to communicate internal information while running the business. OMFG

Knowing they run Skype, it'd be easy for the NSA to pull up every video & chat log ever created.

...too bad the NSA would never actually use their powers (specifically tailored & partnered with M$)  for something serious like this.
1290  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 16, 2016, 02:26:34 AM
Well fuck.... I don't even know what to say...

I found out about the blog post when a customer called me and told me it was up. I found that irritating to say the least....

Again, I never worked with any wallets, had access to any wallets or any code. I ran investigations and customer end security ( like 2fa and getting back into hacked accounts)

This is a really shitty situation. I understand people are upset and have every right to be. I admit, I drank the koolaid and when people told me things were alright, I believed them whole heartedly.  I don't know code or hardware at all, so when I was told it was a technical issue, I had faith.

Now I just look like an asshole for believing it, and for that I do apologize. Since I heard about this, Ive been sifting through dozens of emails from people with "tips" and it is exhausting to say the least. Although I am no longer paid by Cryptsy, I feel an obligation to try me best to help locate coins, whoever may have them.

In the mean time I don't mind trying to answer any questions I can and I know trolls are gonna troll hard at the moment. I'd be trolling too so I can't blame them.

I've always tried to help people since starting at Cryptsy and I find it a real shame it's come to an end like this.

Are you that far out of the loop that after the story broke last night, you being one of the few remaining employees of Cryptsy just got wind of what's going on via a customer alerting you to Paul's blog post? I bet that was embarrassing.

Horus: How may I help you?
Customer: Blah blah blah, and did you hear the latest?
Horus: No, what?
Customer: The ten million dollars stolen from Cryptsy. Here's the link to the blog post.
Horus: Oh my fuckin' God! Surprise surprise surprise! Thanks. Guess I need to pen a post for BCT. They'll believe me, I'm sure of it.

As of two days ago, we recognized you as still being on Cryptsy's payroll. Exactly how and when were you informed that you were no longer on the payroll? Surely, it happened some time after this mysterious customer brought it to your attention of Paul's blog post, eh?

I feel like Cryptsy bankrolls an entire team of 'excuse writers'.  Anyone with half a brain wouldn't believe shit from ANYONE working that scam exchange.

Big Turd Vern's ENTIRE twitter are posts saying 'oh sorry, this happened so fuck you and we'll keep your money' or 'guys, hackers did it say goodbye to your deposits' and everything else that can possibly pass for an excuse.

Now this dude's pulling the same type of shit; feigning ignorance and backing out.

But I believe you...holy crap the naivety of some people
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: crypsty hacked over 1.5 yrs ago. 13000 BTCs and 300,000 ltc on: January 16, 2016, 01:00:25 AM
Florida

That explains everything.  Florida really needs to be either nuked, cut into an island and detached from the united states, or walled off.  It's like a completely different country down there; either something in the water or heat stroke is really messing with those folks.  Haven't met one person from florida (while living there) that I could trust; met many that resulted in personal losses of all sorts - just like people losing money to craptsy.

What is it with people down there?  Runaway convicts hiding as south as possible? Results on a social level from Florida's pill mills (the source of the country's oxycontin problem & resulting heroin epidemic)?  There are so many reasons why they're fucked in the head, it's hard to choose one
1292  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 15, 2016, 06:08:17 PM
I monitored Cryptsy Bitcoin and other alts wallets through blockchain analysis and it is pretty hard to me to believe that theft is caused by trojan virus infiltration to cold wallet.

First of all Cryptsy cold wallet then was not cold at all, otherwise how virus jumped to it from server?

Blockchain analysis gave me information that theft began not at 13:37:26 as posted on Cryptsy blog, but 5 hours earlier, through attack on hot wallet.Incident occured at 08:27:48,when someone took 500 BTC through 5 txs of 100 BTC each - https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/Cryptsy.com-old?page=1202
These txs were:

Cryptsy employees did not notice that their hot wallet was robbed for 5 hours, when big hack happenned to cold wallet.

One thing is interesting - these 500 BTC did not move at all after it - just like 1000s after big hack.In all BTC hacks till now, hackers never wait more than few hours to put stolen BTC in to the mixer.Except in this case.

Also I found Cryptsy DASH and DOGE main wallets.Cryptsy said that they did not hacked, but what happenned with coins in them.In DASH wallet was 456K DASH.Wallet was formed on 27.July.2014:

https://bitinfocharts.com/darkcoin/tx/ba798890d98936115001f69333956b558a4856c162516cb3ab46a6455de7a1eb

It is not hacked and from one of his big direct branches came 8433 DASH sent from Cryptsy on 5th.Oct.2015 to big DASH owner known as Otoh(https://i.imgur.com/Cb2ygx7.png):

https://bchain.info/DASH/tx/964716df9d475449a7abae56a57536d46bf466a1407a81e7d5ff5457d87827d9, pay attention on address Xqi7sWthYKFPCK3KHcKq8BqY9vMcWy4r3t  probably biggest direct branch from main DASH wallet

DOGE main wallet was also formed on the 27.July.2014 - https://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/address/DN27P1saQQ1fYesKP1LHT5MdSXBpgqka85  - there was 9.5 billions of DOGE in it

On 5th.Aug 2014,DOGE was removed from that wallet in multiple 1 billion txs(like BTC in the hack, but as we know DOGE wasnt hacked) :

A lot of mystery? Dude, you just laid it all out for us! No mystery there, craptsy is complicit in this flat out robbery

This Vern asshole really loves to throw the blame around.  As if a news article is to blame for him scamming his customers?  And to top it off, an official blog post saying "we still accepted your money for a year after 'being robbed'"

Let's look at just a few of the asshole's excuses & methods of stealing everyone's money!

'Equipment changes'
'Update issues'
'Denial of Service attack'
'brief outages'
'hardware swap'
'Server Failure'
'Scammers'
'Phishing attempts using our customer data'
'database issues'
'mailserver issues'

...and the INSANELY RIDICULOUS fees they've imposed, then INCREASED before shit started to really hit the fan.

How, just HOW could people continuously put up with bullshit like that?

Buying altcoins & hoping their price increases...that's as risky as I'll go  Cool

Dice/investment/other gambling is 99% rigged...

...then again, so is trading with fake volume, pump & dumps, etc. but at least other people are usually moving the price around along with you Smiley

scratch that, someone's having fun manipulating yobit...

Can't deposit CUBE to yobit & look at that buy order - i highly doubt this is coincidence  Angry

I see that large volume high price buy order but what benefit would the person get from doing that ?? What if people sell into his order wouldn't he get high priced CUBE and not really benefit?

The person probably knows that Cube deposits on Yobit are extremely slow or not working. They are trying to lure people into buying Cube on Bittrex or C-Cex, for what appears to be a great arb opportunity with Yobit. Then they discover their Cube is taking forever to come through at Yobit.

Do you know what you do in this situation ?

You deposit CUBE & wait like a stealthy ninja in the shadows so when the pumper is looking at the blockchain to see what's trying to come in they will increase the YoBit price.

.........

Then you strike with your kitana blade & stab that bastard right in the heart to put him down.

 Grin

I really thought you were going somewhere with that...LOL
1300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go sub 400! on: January 15, 2016, 03:54:57 AM
I think about 415-420$ there is an important support.
It has reached $415 already within the last 2 hours from $430. That enough for most to bail their coins yet?
At this rate it will reach that $400 wall that everybody has been supporting by morning.  Undecided

True...I never would have guessed it to fall below 430 in such a short time.  Would be surprising if it DOESNT go sub-400.

But you know what that means...
