1641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am losing money because take profit orders are not working. on: August 15, 2022, 10:39:28 AM
What I see from this OP is you have based the trading view, not on your exchange, that for sure it was not the same. But it was not surprising knowing that it was obviously the set price doesn't hit yet, because if that already happens, profit will reflect on your wallet and it appears no active trades. But as you can see, nothing happens it means that it was not yet sold at the specific price.

You are somewhat got fool by the apps you have used or that might the exchanges deny the sell input you have made, or you have mistaken to input the price. There's a lot of factors making this happen and you have to find it out.
1642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 15, 2022, 04:59:32 AM

The fight is really impressive, even though I put bets on Campa (that is taking advantage of the huge odds difference between the two),  I don't mind losing because the fight is really good.  Lopez's performance has brought him back to the game.  I think he will be calling title fights now since he really performs well and his performance is the talk of the news and social media.  Hopefully we can see a title fight before the year-end.
Quote
"We want Josh Taylor," Lopez said. "We want these guys. We want (Regis) Prograis. We want (Jose) Zepeda. We want all the belts. We want to become two-time undisputed champion."

The bookies are right this time around because the odds for Lopez here was really low.
So Lopez should strike while the iron is hot and look for belt to snatch on next.
Maybe, another fight this year or before the year ends and let us see which belt he is eyeing next.

The betting is not interesting if you go for Lopez ML, but choosing which round range Campa will be KO would make it exciting. Whoever choose the rounds 7-10 won their bets on this game and I'm pretty sure it's more than +300.

He had been thru a lot, and now he took over the fight fair and square.
He is back now, the champion should consider him as a serious threat.
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIB Listed by Yet Another Crypto Exchange ! on: August 14, 2022, 11:35:19 PM
Well, good to see it was accepted and listed on another exchange but the question is if people are still buying this meme coin. Because even though it was listed in hundred exchanges but investors had looked into the potentiality of the project, not because it was listed anywhere, even in all exchanges. Might it capture the attention of the community but I was not sure if this creates additional hypes and increase the numbers of its investors. Though I can't assume, I know people are been careful with these meme coins.

snip...

holding is also not guaranteed to make a lot of profit in the long run, although there is a real chance that you will make a profit, when it comes to altcoins, I would say that you don't need to rush and think that your altcoins will not go up in price, they will may go up in price in the future, but the real problem is that they may not go up much in price, this is because most altcoins are facing a lot of competition, which means that many altcoins no longer have many investors, so as a consequence of long term altcoin can't reach its ATH, it can't even reach almost 70% of its ATH and I'm talking about the altcoin price in relation to USD, because in relation to BTC, altcoins are very low, which means that are causing a lot of damage
That I'd rather choose BTC and ETH for long-term holding and consider altcoins for short-term. BTC and ETH were known for their profitability, unlike the other altcoins that as it goes long-term the price goes down. Yes, it was to see how the competition makes changes on its trend but most of all, these scam projects had a huge influence on why investors have lost faith in altcoins to hold, instead they sell them once seeing some profit.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 14, 2022, 11:54:10 AM
Teofimo Lopez is back and the takeover style has come back the ref stops the fight in round 7 because Campa cannot defend himself anymore, Teofimo is very calm from the opening bell, no eagerness in his fight he looks for Campa's weakness and let his speed and power do the talking, this is the Lopez that we used to see, there's a big gap in skill and fight was fully dominated by Lopez, I guess Lopez is now ready to take over the 140 division now with this win.

It was just a one-man show when he dominated his opponent in the early rounds and finally, the ref stop it because it was too much for Campa to take all those power punches that always landed in his face. Lopez is really back because he just show us a fight that he had been having when he was winning knockouts throughout his career his precision and accuracy are still the best. I think he is ready for another title match after this and gonna make a lot of fighters in their division struggle.

Exactly, as expected, it's a one-man show as it was cherry-picked to make Lopez look good, if only he fought a caliber fighter, it would be more exciting to watch but let's hope Lopez will have a tougher challenger in his next fight, if it's against the champion, that would be even better.
1646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 13, 2022, 07:00:02 PM
Draymond Green doesn't have a lot of option and surely he doesn't have the power to demand the table and make the team offer him a max contract because he is not that kind of huge asset, he'll be lucky if the Warriors will still keep him despite his situation. He should know that he isn't like LBJ or CP3 who will be chased by any team because of the numbers they could bring in the team, Green is different because he is not a play maker.

Draymond Green obviously shouldn't be hoping that the Warriors or any other team will offer him a maximum contract. By the way, his current contract will expire after next season, and he will still have a player option for an extension until the end of the 23/24 season. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if he takes this player option as it is unlikely that anyone will offer him a higher salary than $27,5 mln.

Even that figure is a little bit high for Draymond Green now, I think that he'll only sell out to a $20-$25 Million annually for a 4-year extension and nothing more than that but that is if there's a team in the league right now who's willing to pay him that kind of amount. Nonetheless, Draymond still have a chance to prove his worthiness this coming season and I don't doubt that he'll push himself more to produce more so that he'll end up getting an extension at the end of the 22-23 season.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 13, 2022, 06:34:33 PM
I do think people are starting to realise that Cancelo isn't this unstoppable force now. Everyone talks about how his power is the best in the business, but I've never really seen it honestly. I've seen some decent amount of tactical thinking from him, but that's been when he has been losing the fight, which is great. However, his power is only slightly above average I'd say in his division. If like you say, he moves up he doesn't keep that power to weight ratio, he seems to lose a bit of it.

That's the thing, he was an undisputed champion in his division before and we didn't notice his power because he is not a strong starter, he is only a good finisher but sometimes his opponent can survive even if they lose the fight. With this fight against GGG, he has not hurt GGG yet but he won the last fight, so let's see if they can really hurt GGG and maybe KO him which IMO unlikely to happen.

Well his fight with GGG is full of controversy, this controversy outshines Canelo's achievement because he shouldn't be undisputed without the help of ringside judges.  Take for example his first fight with GGG which is so obvious that GGG should have won the fight but instead,  the two judges favor Canelo by giving a draw and an unbelievable score of 118 - 110 in favor of Canelo.

I don't even know where he got that much connection to make the judges favor him because GGG was also a superstar in the division compared to Canelo that time. Is from his promoter? We don't know but that unjust scores robbed GGG because the fight was ended a draw just like what you said and then there's this rematch that is also a controversial fight because the judges again made some magic touch to stretch Canelo's scores.

That time, Canelo already know that couldn't risk his record for an early trilogy because their first two fights was already controversial and he knows that there will be much more eyes that will watch the fight that's why he chose to defend his belt against Fielding rather than giving Golovkin a tirlogy.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: August 13, 2022, 05:28:28 PM
I'm rooting for Ancajas, hoping he will be a champ again.
No odds yet, but for sure Ancajas will be the underdog but a slight underdog only. If you believe that he will bounce back after a big loss, then I'm sure you would be happy seeing an odds high than +200 as definitely that's what you will be seeing as it will be available.

I agree with you mate, for sure Ancajas will be the slight underdog in this rematch and this may a good opportunity for all Ancajas' supporters to place their bets as he will be giving his all in this fight to take back the belt once he owned.

The fight will happen two months from now and per history, bookies will place the odds for the fight of this magnitude three to two days before it happens.

What do you think, will Ancajas get his revenge and bring back the belt to the Philippines or Martinez will dominate him again? I want to put some spare money for Ancajas though but I'm not that really sure if he can really manage after I looked into their first encounter because it seems that Ancajas was really struggling. I'll be happy to know your thoughts about this mate Grin

I have a gut feeling that Ancajas would avenge his loss but it is not going to be easy as Martinez is now very confident after beating him. The only aspect that i see why Ancajas lost that fight is he was a victim of a replacement spell  Grin. He was training for Ioka but suddenly he was replaced so the mindset of Ancajas might have been affected and he might also taken for granted the capability of Martinez as he was fighting in the lower division than him.

Bottomline, I would be rooting for Ancajas because of his talent, he would not be called the Pretty Boy of the Philippines for nothing and also Philippines needs someone like him to raised the flag of the nation in boxing but then again it would not be an easy path to glory.

Really? I didn't know that, I mean I know Jerwin Ancajas because he is from Cebu but I didn't had the chance to follow his fights and haven't know that Martinez was only a replacement for Ioka.

Now, that paints the picture more clearly why Ancajas was defeated in the first place because part of the reason is that he's preparing for Ioka and not for Martinez. I believe that he will successfully avenge his loss in their first encounter and maybe after that we can have some speculations that these two will have a trilogy and that would be fun to watch.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 13, 2022, 05:02:22 PM
I prefer to just see him keep fighting champs for a title, he could start with Tank.
I think he will have a problem against Tank, this champion is fast and aggressive at the same time, this should be a great fight but honestly, if that will happen, I'd probably back Tank to win on the battle.

And he is ready to accept that challenge though, that's why he keeps calling on Tank Davis and even was present in Davis fight against Romero and there are a lot of interviews of him after that fight telling the public that Davis and him will make a good fight.

But first he shouldn't play down Robson here, he is a good fighter, maybe that as elite as Stevenson, but he could have his moments in this fight just like what he did against Oscar Valdez. Unfortunately, Robson lost that one, but he can still redeem himself if he upset Shakur in his hometown but the odds is very small.

This will be very exciting to see soon because there's lots of boxers now who are looking forward to have a fight with Tank Davis, not sure though if who will be the first one to have the chance, is it Shakur or Garcia? Well, for now let's see if Shakur will retain his belt because Robson is not that easy to conquer as their records is not that far to compare but Shakur here is much younger so I can see that he can adjust more.

For sure it seems that Garcia will be the likely candidate, I mean those two wanted to fight each other for a long time now and it's about the right timing as both are coming from a victory.

As compare to Shakur wo is still one weight class below and have to win against a tough Robson And if ever he will win, there are more champions still in his division and he will have to clean it up first before looking for more challenges like going up in weight and chase Tank.

I agree, Shakur should just focus in his current division even if he will manage to defeat Robson here because there are still 2 belts remaining that are in possession of two different champions in the super featherweight. Going against Tank will be a tough challenge for him as we don't know yet if he can still have the same speed and power in the upper weight class.

The only reason why I think that Shakur wanted to test his skills against Tank is that the amount of money that he could earn here.

So maybe he could bypass the 2 remaining belts, as someone said, it's not that important, this boxers will go and maximize every chance they can get to earn millions because their health is always on the line when they fight. Just the question on whether Top Rank can go and talk to Davis team, Floyd or Leonard Ellerbe.

For sure he will earn more millions of dollars if he will take on Gervonta Davis compared to the remaining title holders in super featherweight division combined but that is also if Bob Arum can make that fight happen before or after Ryan Garcia take on Davis because Shakur will be at the back of a long queue as Davis is one of the most sought after boxer in their neighboring division.

I know how important Green is in the Warriors and he is one of their best defenders but to ask for a 10-year contract? I don't know if it will happen because the Warriors will not get any benefit from it in the long run. That's too much I think and the Warriors can't even give him a max contract (for now). He is 32 years old and a few years from now, he will be in the post-prime period and his performance will slowly decrease thus, it will not help the Warriors so it's a no-no for me and maybe it would be better for the Warriors if they will just trade him if Green will push what he wants. Kinda hurt but it would be beneficial to the Warriors management.

There is no doubt about Green's importance in the team because he is a valuable asset to the team, but he should be informed enough that there's no team in the NBA who will grant him that long contract. I mean, he is quite older already and he won't be producing the same production he did in the years to come because of that age, he should know by now that it is the reality in the NBA since then because it's a business in the first place.

I think the maximum contract in the NBA is only 6 years. I don't know if Green is just wanting attention or trolling or bluffing or just high or drunk. It is even unlikely that GSW will give him a max contract. And his performance is not the same already as before so he will not be worth $32 million per year something.

I believe that GSW management, the splash brothers, Kerr, and the rest of the gang will persuade Draymond to remain with them. And I don't think any team in the NBA will want Draymond at $32 million per year.

Draymond Green doesn't have a lot of option and surely he doesn't have the power to demand the table and make the team offer him a max contract because he is not that kind of huge asset, he'll be lucky if the Warriors will still keep him despite his situation. 1651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 12, 2022, 02:28:16 PM

Anyways, this is the fresh update we got so far:

Errol Spence Vs. Terence Crawford Near Completion For Nov.12th Or Nov.19th

This catch my attention in the article: "There’s no word what the purse splits are for Spence & Crawford, and it’s possible we may never find out."

Thanks for the update mate! I've read it and this is much better because we now have a news like this that their fight will become official soon and much better because we now know that there's indeed a high chance that this undisputed fight will happen this year.

I've read in the same article too that Spence's camp needed Crawford's camp to help him sell the fight because Spence cannot do it alone. Well, I personally think that both of them won't struggle about that and have some hard time selling this fight as the people and the boxing fans around the globe has been waiting for this to happen.

But this detail right here caught my attention the most:

1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 11, 2022, 06:55:43 PM
I think it was early this year when the WBC approved Canelo to jump in the cruiserweight and fights WBC champ Ilunga Makabu. It didn't materialized though, maybe there is no money in a Makabu fight or the Canelo team thought it was too big for them.

Yes, Canelo tried to train and fight against Ilunga Makabu in the cruiserweight but eventually, it didn't materialize. Don't know what's the true reason but one thing is certain though, Canelo and his team made a point that he cannot really take on Makabu and expect their boxer to defeat Makabu in his division as adding extra weight will make a difference into Canelo's speed and power. We already proved that he cannot really defeat the guys in that weight class because he is already struggling in the light-heavy.

Money is not a problem because Canelo will be followed by that anywhere and in any weight class he chose, it's just that Canelo's chance in winning in cruiserweight is really low.
1653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 11, 2022, 03:18:51 PM
If he's going to pick his next opponent, he has to be sure and eager that he know that his opponent is easy and he'll win. It could be wrong for the others to have this mentality.

That's not how it works. If Nonito Donaire will pick his opponents, the promoter and organizers will have to agree with it too.

If he's just cherry-picking easy opponents, that's not worth watching and promoters will think that's not a good fight to organize.

Donaire should just agree to whoever opponents he will face. At the point of this career, there should be no picking or selecting who he wants as he's starting from the bottom bracket now. Besides, I think he won't have a big problem facing top boxers in Flyweight or Super Flyweight Division that's why no need to be picky of his opponents in that division.
Yes, thanks for letting me remember that. But still, he can also be part of the selection process and ask the promoter and organizer if it's possible to fight with his pick.

As for cherry picking, it will still be a hit for his match as everyone is waiting for his retrieval from the last lost that he has made. I'm sure that many fans of him will still watch whether it's from the organizer or his pick.

I guess there is no need for Donaire to do some cherry picking in the said division because I bet he can manage just fine even the champions in that division, he chose to fight in super-flyweight next so that means that he is confident enough that he can defeat those guys. He really knew that he cannot defeat the current Inoue now, so much better to do some cleaning in the lower weight class for now.

I think this is only for the Canelo vs Bivol prediction, Bivol was really the underdog in that fight and even pro boxers pick Canelo to win, and he should be dominating Bivol.

But going on to this fight, for sure in the beginning we really like Canelo, but when he started to be the cash cow and can get all the things he want, like being tested with PED but he was able to get away with it without any repercussions. Then he become arrogant and brandish and thinks that no one can beat him not even GGG. And it was clear day and night robbery by the jury, in the first fight and then worst on the second. So for us boxing fans, we want to see GGG win with a statement, stoppage/TKO/KO.

Although I never made a bet for the Canelo vs Bivol fight, I never expected Bivol to win. There was so much hype related to Canelo before the match and most of the sportsbooks gave very low odds for Bivol. Everywhere I could read posts claiming that Canelo was unbeatable. And what happened during the match was something entirely different. Bivol completely dominated the match. I watched the highlights, and I don't think that Canelo won a single round out of a total of 12. It was completely one-sided.

Right, and just imagine him wanted to go as high as Cruiserweight and fight the champion at a catchweight and then Sulaiman readily agreed on it (because it's Canelo Alvarez). But then he settled on Light Heavyweight on Bivol. He could have taken Beterviev, but maybe he thinks that Bivol is the easier of the two, it really backfired on him. So he goes back to 168 lbs now and accepted the long overdue trilogy with GGG to bring his hype back.

Is that so? I thought Canelo will go against Ilunga Makabu that time in cruiserweight and not Sulaiman but decides to back down in light-heavyweight because I'm sure that one of the reasons is that he cannot risk his career in the guys in cruiserweight that is a natural heavy hitter especially if it's Ilunga Makabu.

Canelo was pretty confident though that he can manage to beat the champions in light-heavyweight because he once defeat Sergey Kovalev in the same weight class, he didn't expected Bivol to react that way and frankly, Canelo lost every round and lost his temper in the late rounds that's why we saw Canelo frustrated while carrying Bivol. How much more if Canelo chose Beterbiev that time Grin maybe we will see Canelo knocked out for the first time.
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2022, 10:42:27 PM
After watching the rematch of Donaire vs Naoya Inoue, you can see that Donaire no longer has his main advantage - speed and simply does not have time to react to enemy attacks, age still affects, and by moving to a heavier weight category, he also risks his health

Yes, right? Donaire is not that agile anymore to react and move quickly but he is still strong and capable to deliver knockout victories, which I don't doubt about him but this time there's a catch because he needs to find that correct phase and timing to give that knockout shot.

Also, we can see that Inoue has turned out to be a different monster, it's so different that Donaire himself didn't anticipated that because the new version of Inoue is much more agile than his prime years and much more stronger to be a heavy hitter in the bantamweight division.
1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: August 09, 2022, 09:21:45 PM
its really funny if any gambling site require KYC for their members.  most of gamblers want their identification hidden from any one , so if their gambling platform ask kyc to use services, i am believe most of them prefer find another platform.
Some gambling sites already treat KYC and other platforms will gradually follow the rules of KYC requirements so you have no other choice but to follow the rules, although I also don't agree with KYC but I don't have a solution when your favorite casino also requires identity verification.
if indeed your favorite gambling site is already very trusted and has a good reputation, there is nothing wrong with having to follow procedures that must be carried out such as KYC.
because i have a thought maybe some gambling sites require KYC before depositing or withdrawing money from the site just for security from laundering money deposited into gambling sites.
and i also do KYC on several gambling sites that i think have a good reputation

Nothing wrong with KYC? Really? I could expect opinions like that from average guys on the Internet, but we're on a bitcoin forum where people should value privacy and anonymity.
KYC sucks. If it wasn't enforced nobody would do it. It gives nothing good to the customer and only protects one side, the service provider, and of course the government who wants to know your every move. All the risk of KYC is yours and that's your personal information being leaked out into the world is on you. You're not getting anything in return.

The only reason why government enforce this so that they can see all our moves if in case we are using these platforms to gamble money but for the majority of us here that doesn't do any dark movements, it's somewhat unfair to us because we would want that privacy to be given to us as it is what we wanted in the first place and part of the reasons why we are here.
KYC is never a benefit to us because our privacy is at stake if an unfortunate event happened where the casino we signed up for was hacked.
1659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: August 09, 2022, 08:06:24 PM
Personally, I'm inclined to believe that Jerwin Ancajas has the potential on bringing glory again to the Philippines in the world of boxing because he has the tools, he just needs to be focused more on training and not be too confident because that might be the reason on his loss to Martinez in their first outing.

I believe that Jerwin can redeem that loss earlier this year in their first encounter, he just needed to utilize his height and reach advantage to make Martinez struggle rather than go in a head to head fight and exchanging blows without thinking thoroughly where Martinez has the advantage because the man is a heavy hitter as long as you're in his radius.

I read an article recently about the GSW management interview regarding Draymond Green possible trade since GSW has a lot to handle in there plate while Green is demanding a max contractthat will last up to 10yrs. The management is considering Green age will not give them the best benefit later on if they allow his request. They are looking for potential trade with Aaron Gordon since Gordon is still young and has a lotof room for improvement. Is this unfair to Green once this trade proceed?
I believe 10 years on a contract is a long time for Draymond Green, despite him being an important player for the Warriors I don't know if that would be worth the risk, despite he is already 32 years old.

But weren't there rumors that Green would sign a 5-year contract with Warriors?

A 10-year max contract, is that even possible? As far as I know, there is no NBA player in the history that was given a 6-year or more contract. I bet there would be no team existing in the NBA who would want to give their player that kind of long contract even if they are eligible for it because they don't really know what's ahead on the road, they will play it safe just in case their player cannot play anymore for the team. Especially for Draymond Green's case as he's already old enough, having Gordon as a replacement for Green will be practical.
