1641  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS reportedly massacres dozens in Syrian village on: April 01, 2015, 12:20:47 PM
I was actually shocked to see that so many people join them. Its possible to see a couple of people with such belief but I get shocked that the people joining them have no logical basis , and do not even realize the cause.

Perhaps some of them think they have better chances for survival with ISIS, some of them was extremist from the beginning, others may think better joining ISIS then get killed by them.

Well Survival might be one reason. But they would have to be too cold to actually be able to kill people like that. And since I am sure its not just one person directing all the killings, them doing it all autonomously is unlikely if they joined them for survival.

As I heard only the first few are hard, then ppl "get used" to kill others, not to mention that constantly "ego-boosted" groups tend to do things what the individuals in that group wouldn't do on their own.

Self control maybe Wink?
1644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's time for Plan B. #Bitcoin on: April 01, 2015, 08:24:31 AM
Not so sure about this, do not quite understand, I mean what kind of plan B here
Should be explained as well as what it means, so that people can somewhat understand the intent and purpose of the plan B

Kim Dotcom is trying to say the US dollar sucks and it is time to replace it with Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is 'Plan B".  I can't believe this has to be explained.  wtf?

Exactly this is what he pointed out with that pic Smiley. I'm sure he has plans with BTC but this tweet probably isn't about that.
1645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Decline To Support on: April 01, 2015, 08:10:36 AM
That annalist of theirs knows shit. All his conclusions are so unclear and mostly state that BTC might go up and if this does not take place, then BTC ll go down.

Useless piece of crap.

Even worse what he said that means it may go up or may not Smiley. I think any random bloke in the pub could make such "analysis".
1646  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hitler vs. Stalin on: April 01, 2015, 08:04:57 AM
Stalin was never interested in a war with the Nazis. He knew that the German forces were technologically much superior to his own troops. Had Hitler refrained from attacking the USSR, the Soviets never would have participated in the WW2, and the Nazis would have conquered the entire Western Europe.

This is a very interesting question. Stalin's alleged speech of 19 August 1939, the silent military build-up on the western borders of the USSR from late 1940, and purging and relocating ethnic Germans may points to less peaceful intentions.
1647  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do we send PHP developers to prison? on: April 01, 2015, 07:38:09 AM
Who would trust him anymore? I think the usual practice is something like seizing his assets, compensating his victims and sending him to prison.
1648  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Citizens Detained, Arrested By Border Patrol Over 50 Miles North of Border on: April 01, 2015, 07:34:02 AM

The agent: “I’m not doing anything against policy.”

Yeah... neither was the SS.

When will cops understand the constitution that they actually swore to abide by and protect? Oh, wait I forgot most cops/federal agents are worthless retarded drones that do what ever is told to them. Half of them probably don't even know how to read.

Yeah, in Nuremberg those guys said the same stuff. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know in that time it didn't worked very well.
1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Examples of public rejection of fiat on: March 31, 2015, 10:02:34 PM
Do you know of any examples of this to share? For example, you're about to pay at a shop or cafe. They tell you the total and you say something like "I've had just about enough of your fiat nonsense."

That would be a kickass marketing. Literally... Smiley
1650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have Bitcoins helped to improve your life? on: March 31, 2015, 10:00:15 PM
Not very much yet, but I have big hopes about the future Smiley. Anyway it's a lot of fun.
1651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paid a hooker in vegas using Bitcoin Saturday night on: March 31, 2015, 09:57:34 PM
A really practical use of your BTC Smiley.
1652  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS reportedly massacres dozens in Syrian village on: March 31, 2015, 09:27:24 PM
They are carrying to far with these massacres. At first these actions terrified their opponents, but there is point when one can not be more scared and then they will fight back.
1653  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Boko Haram HQ Gwoza in Nigeria 'retaken' on: March 31, 2015, 03:55:43 PM
Taking their bases will do no good. The Boko Haram leadership is more inclined towards waging guerilla warfare, than engaging their enemies in a conventional war. They will just retreat to their hide-outs near Lake Chad and launch attacks from there.

Agree. As soon as the army moving away they will be back.
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminals Love The Blockchain Technology on: March 31, 2015, 03:08:38 PM
Do you agree that Blockchain Technology, A Haven For Cybercriminals
http://bitforum.info/t/blockchain-technology-a-haven-for-cybercriminals/706

Will the authorities find a way to foolproof Blockchain and just secure the technology from people who just think of themselves?

That's a heaven for everyone who know how to use it.

Authorities will find ways to exploit it first. Then they will try to "secure" it by regulation and centralization. IBM already working on the first attempt.
1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin A Tool For CyberCriminals on: March 31, 2015, 03:02:13 PM
.... says the USSS agent Tate Jarrow.
http://bitforum.info/t/secret-service-agent-labeled-bitcoin-as-a-tool-for-cybercriminals/702

I just think that this agent did not do his homework.

You just cant judge a thing with its lopphole. Maybe it can be utilized by cybercriminals 'for now'

Report never mentioned how useful bitcoin will be for people migrants who are working in the US and other first world countires.

Bitcoin might even end hunger for cryin out loud.

Everything can be a tool for criminals. Bitcoin isn't an exception. (Let's ban crowbars as many burglars using those things.)
1656  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Thanks to capitalism, global poverty is at its lowest rate in history on: March 31, 2015, 02:46:53 PM
...and what comes after capitalism? All of the idealists and naive daydreamers are talking about a new more just, more equal, more peaceful and more sustainable society. I'm afraid they are all wrong.
1657  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hitler vs. Stalin on: March 31, 2015, 02:03:41 PM
Actually Stalin was planning a showdown with the jews before he died. The "Night of the Murdered Poets", the "Doctors plot" and the increasingly vocal anti-zionist propaganda (plus the rumours about setting up a Deportation Commission, and building new camps on the far-east) all pointing towards new large scale purges against the jewish population.
1658  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Count down to Iran invasion on: March 31, 2015, 01:42:08 PM
Attacking and defeating Iran could lead to chaos all across the Middle East. In addition neither the Russians nor the Chinese would watch idle the fall of their last strong ally in the region. With Iran, Syria, Libya out of the game, both Egypt and Turkey are struggling with its own internal religious and/or ethnic issues, Saudi Arabia (and its wahhabies) would be the leading muslim power there. The question is would they be able to deal with sectarian clashes and IS together right on their doorstep?
1659  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Thanks to capitalism, global poverty is at its lowest rate in history on: March 31, 2015, 10:53:14 AM
This all depends on how they defined poverty and how accurate the data and what conditions they applied. With enough juggling with data, definitions and conditions anyone can prove anything.
1660  Other / Politics & Society / Re: PAINTBALL MARKER FOR HOME DEFENCE. on: March 31, 2015, 10:25:04 AM
Hi all,

Would any of you consider using a paintball marker for home defence, in a riot situation to ward off violent people from approaching your home?

NB: Paintball marker loaded with paintballs or hard balls, but shooting within the legal power limits of state.

No. That wouldn't knock them out but after hitting some of them the rest would be really pissed off.
