1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 22, 2023, 04:18:30 PM
This one single champions league title is worth a lot because for the first time, Manchester City in their history won this title and this is a lot for this team I'm sure the name Guardiola will be historic in Manchester City for this title he won.
It is even possible for him to win the title for a second time in the near future.
Pep Guardiola will continue to strive for a second title in the Champions League next season, because as long as he is still able to train and improve the Manchester City team, Guardiola will continue to do his best for Manchester City. Next season, Manchester City is still very much considered as a candidate in the race for the Premier League title and also the title in the Champions League, although there are many other teams that have made changes to their line-up of players.

No matter how much players City loses in this transfer window, it will never show that they are missing a particular player, the citizens have a team that doesn't depend on a player to make the squad stronger, they have the best team in the EPL and to compete for next season title is just their target. Pep can never go without lifting a trophy in a season.
In as much as the top six in the EPL have made different changes of their first 11, I don't see them going ahead of City and I feel the Manchester City team would act more deadly next season, they'd be hard to break next season.
1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 21, 2023, 04:36:21 PM
The way Liverpool are losing players not just players but important players especially from the midfield, is really going to worry the squad come next season. I never expected to see Liverpool to let go some of their key players without getting a replacement to strengthen their squad and I feel with the departure of Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, James Milner, Roberto Firmino even Fabinho, they can't do well, these are players that contributed to the success of the club and they'll be missed, no replacement of these players and I think Liverpool can't withstand the likes of Arsenal Chelsea or even the Citizens next season.
So I ask, can Liverpool challenge for the EPL title next season without these players are leaving the side?
1663  Other / Meta / Re: Is it okay to create an off-topic discussion thread? on: July 21, 2023, 03:24:50 PM
I never thought one can create a topic on off-topic, I thought is when a user create a topic and if the topic is not up to standard that it would be moved to that section (OFF-TOPIC).
But why would one create a topic that's not seen as important, not informative or even related to Bitcoin? What's the reason for creating what people won't find interesting? If a user always creates topics that are seen as OFF-TOPIC can that user be seen as a serious person on this Forum?🙄 If yes then why start up an OFF-TOPIC thread?
1664  Other / Meta / Re: Another birthday - how about an octogenarian club here? on: July 21, 2023, 03:07:29 PM
Once again for all the helpful advice and encouragement.

I think this thread has morphed away from one suitable for the meta board, so I'll stop posting discussions about the videos in here. I'll start to optimise some short Bitcoin videos, and open a thread on the Bitcoin discussion board. Hopefully thiose will help others to start channels on Youtube, and this will popularise Bitcoin. I think we need to do more to bring Bitcoin to the people with unusual banking requirement ( Nigel farage perhaps ? ). This will probably mean using lightnong, and I haven't used that, so please join me on my journey onto the lightning network.

You really have a way of pushing forward anything you believe in, I wish you success on this bitcoin video you're about to start to make Bitcoin more popular and I hope the awareness would be something to pull enough crowd... Good luck Mr CASH
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: July 21, 2023, 12:13:51 PM
People see gambling as a means of getting rich without much stress attached to it, just walk into a casino and do your thing and walk out with a huge amount in your pocket, but they're wrong in the sense that you must devote your 100% attention to it if not you're getting nothing in return, I'll say is hard to defeat what you can't see.
OP, from your topics which is a question CAN I MAKE 100$ DAILY FROM ONLINE CASINO? the answer is yes but another question I'd ask is "Can You Walk Away With The Winning?"
We all know how tempting gambling is...

Chelsea are thinking possibilities to sell Conor Gallagher this because Gallagher will not into Mauricio Pochettino next season plan and if this rumour is true then it's not difficult to Gallagher to find new clubs because reported some of Premier League teams such as West Ham and Tottenham are interested to bought him and in the near future Chelsea will published Gallagher price tag and it will be approximately 47 millions but maybe whether it West Ham and Tottenham will not dare to pay according to his price tag because Gallagher market value is not more than 30 millions however Gallagher has contract 2 years remaining and Chelsea have no plan to give him contract extension so if this summer one from those teams which i mentioned above will be serious to gets him i think Chelsea most likely will sell Gallagher this summer

Selling the man Gallagher is just something the fans isn't going to worry about even the team won't miss the player either, after all he hasn't contributed anything to the Chelsea team, he played very well at Palace and was expected to be a great impact on the Chelsea team, after he returned from the loan spell at Crystal Palace he could not even find his feet. His play at Chelsea isn't encouraging for a manager to say you'd be part of my plan next season, so to me is best he leaves and find a place where he'll be playing week in week out and not from the bench.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 20, 2023, 11:49:03 AM
Chelsea fans across the world are just feeling too bad that they sold two players to their rivals, talking about Arsenal (got Havartz) while Manchester United (got Mason Mount), as if that's not enough, they the Chelsea fans are just happy that the both players would be a flop at their new destination, they can't play well and it would be a regret for both Arsenal and Manchester United. Very funny though, to me I don't see it that way especially with the man Kia Havartz, I see him as the next Ozil at Arsenal or even a better player than Ozil was at Arsenal.

Havartz is going to be a key players for the Gunners, and we shouldn't judge with the pre-season performance and all that but the player would do much better come next season even better than the UTD player Mason Mount.
Kia is having a bad time in the pre-season matches he played but he scored last night and same with Mount but no goal yet, we shouldn't d write them off yet, both players are good but if you ask me to choose between both players I'd go for Kia Havartz, he's better than Mount. Who is better if you're to be a manger to pick from?
1668  Economy / Economics / Re: Building a prosperous business on: July 20, 2023, 04:13:49 AM
Having a business that would go a long way doesn't mean you just have to start it up without the financial ability to get the business going. Quite alright you have a business to start up and you're ready to go, but you don't expect it to always go positive at first. There are some challenges that would pop up and your financial strength would be needed to support it if not you're going down with the business. Ones you devote your time in the business always remember that those sacrifices are part of the responsibilities you need to face before you can succeed.
1669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dethronement on: July 20, 2023, 03:47:58 AM
I still believe Bitcoin is the best coin ever and will continue to soar higher till there is nothing to dethrone or compare

Bitcoin is the best like you said but we all know how the prizes of Bitcoin goes up and down it doesn't mean it's losing its value, is never steady. So I won't say bitcoin will be dethroned at any point in time, today you have it at $29-30 the next 3 days you'll be having it at $32 so I think it can't be compared with any coin and it's the best like you rightly said.
1670  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What offence would warrant a user getting a neutral/negative feedback?? on: July 20, 2023, 03:22:36 AM
I keep seeing this on the forum and I'm a bit puzzled. I know that this is a place where knowledge is shared and gotten, services are also rendered and for you to render your service here you must have at least built a (good) reputation for yourself before someone can do business with you.

I had this confusion about those tags but the red one, I don't need a prophet to tell me that is bad and sometimes when I come online and see users with those red tags I just avoid them or I see them as people who have done something bad to be tag, but along the line I noticed is not all (users) that deserve those tags (I assume). When you have a neutral tag, I  think is when you have to be careful with whatever you doing because the next one might be heavy (Red).
Want to ask, is there any body or group of persons you'd appeal to for it to be removed? Or if such happens either neutral or red tags is it permanent? Can't it be removed after a couple of days, week or months if not guilty? Like we know someone's rep is at stake.
1671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: July 19, 2023, 09:08:21 PM
The earlier we understand that bitcoin is not for everyone, the better because it saves us the time and energy that we would have used to convince those who are uninterested, to move on to those who are interested and it can also drive adoption faster. I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them but I feel everyone is entitled to his opinion and while some regard Bitcoin with outright disgust like Charlie Munger, there are some who care less of it's existence.

Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?

To be sincere with you OP, what you said is the truth because these days is like people are enforcing Bitcoin on other people who don't seem to be interested, and you'd hear something like I preached to my colleagues about Bitcoin and they said this and that, no. Let it be like a story or should I say a discussion without making it look like you're forcing it on them, by then some might show interest while if you take it the wrong way they might see it as fake and it might look like what the government are saying about Bitcoin are true.
1672  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: July 19, 2023, 03:12:43 PM
but you can't blame those new members who do such, they're all struggling and fighting to get those sMerits coming in.

unfortunately the hard work of some new members or other members did it wrong. post with some long paragraphs using AI. you can see it on the reputation board. undeniably, it was a new members hard work to gain Merit.
AI helps someone write, but with good ideas and good sentences arranged makes us have a discussion with robots. not the result of creative thoughts and ideas from people.

That's the thing I'm not happy about, how would someone depends on AI to do everything even what you can craft out from your head too, not cool. Is it that we humans are becoming lazy or we don't value what we have inside of us? The thing is that majority of the newly registered members (even some SNR members too etc) are crazily desperate for nothing, all I know is that you have to start a foundation before you start building a house, if it's merit it will and must come with your efforts, some forget that they're being watched how serious they are.

You just need to be original in your post and don't treat merits as something special given to only few members as whenever you contribute something useful you will receive them so for some it may take time but others can get it fast but I won't say newbies struggle for merits but they are not interested in learning aspects first of all which makes smerit incoming easy for you.

You have to be original and real, the merit we're talking about is really important because without it you can't move to the next rank, but all still boils down to one thing, hard work, if not you not getting it and you'd be stock at a place (I mean at one rank) . Well I agree with you when you say if you think less about having merit and do your thing it will come even more than you expected, but don't forget we're all humans, we're always desperate when things ain't working as expected.

This is one of the best move have heard in a long while that the former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Emiliano François Aubameyang is set to join Marseille since he's not having a playing time at Chelsea, the blues are letting him go, guess Pochettino doesn't have him in his plan for next season. I was expecting him to head straight to the Saudi as all players who are 30+ are heading to the money making league. To me he still have so much to offer is just that he's not too comfortable with the way things are at Chelsea and they hardly play him and even if he starts he doesn't get much of the balls to convert, Chelsea was really lacking a creative midfielder to let him show off some of his abilities in front of goal. Just happy for Aubameyang that he's leaving the Blues at this point in time, at least he'll be playing week in week out.
1674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 19, 2023, 04:11:24 AM
I think Harry Kane is going to sign a new contract at Totthenham and won't go anywhere. What I see here is just a game plan by Kane to make the board sign more quality players that will make the team more stronger. They haven't won any trophy for a long time, and it's enough reason to frustrate any player putting in his effort to make that team move forward.Harry Kane has been very consistent in terms of goal scoring and I see him as the best striker in the premier league. If Kane were to be in a team like Mancity where they have all the best players,he will definitely score more goals than Haaland. Therefore,I don't think any move to either PSG or Bayern will materialise this season, and if a deal should happen,it depends on the kind of signings their new coach makes this season.

These Harry Kane issue is becoming irritating, because he's the one who knows what to do and I think he's just there to make the headline without making any reasonable decision. Everyone is waiting for him to decide weather he'd leave the Spurs team or not, like we all know nothing celebrating has come out of Tottenham only goals and individual awards no trophy to cheer about.

If you say Harry Kane is frustrated I'd say no to that, he's never frustrated at all, if he is then by now we'd be having a news that he's making a move to any interested club either PSG, Bayern Munich or even Manchester United. The man is comfortable with his situation, I'd tell you for free that is only someone who's frustrated that would make a move for a better change but not Kane and him delaying of making the board to bring in new players won't change anything at this point in time of his career unless he leaves the Spurs team.
1675  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: July 19, 2023, 03:56:53 AM
Merits might be hard to earn, but if you're not putting any effort into your posts; if you can't write well; and if you're posting in threads with dozens, hundreds, or over a thousand pages long then you shouldn't expect anyone to give you their sMerits.  And a lot of times it's the lower-ranked members who are doing all of those things.

Merits is indeed very hard to earn, if I should use those words VERY HARD. Lack of effort can never generate even half a merit for anyone so the effort you put to your post get it done. And some members think that whenever you make a very long post that it makes someone to give them at least a merit (so I thought when I started) but if it's not informative it can't move anybody to drop any sMerit and I noticed that so many users don't like reading post with thousands of words like you made mentioned above, but you can't blame those new members who do such, they're all struggling and fighting to get those sMerits coming in.
1676  Other / Meta / Re: Request for the merit source for the Polish board on: July 19, 2023, 02:47:13 AM
To be honest, I just don't like the idea of giving merits on local boards. I am sorry if I sound like a bad guy but I would say that local boards feel the national pride and duty to help each-other to rank up and give merits to their compatriots.
I think the situation is following: People from poor countries help each-other to rank up to participate in signature campaigns with high payroll. That's probably why I see that person only gets merits from local boards while his/her posts in English language never get rewarded. This isn't fair and probably destroys the main idea of merit system on this forum.
Correct me if I am wrong, I have no problem with that but this is just what I see and notice.

At least is not all the local board that does such, maybe you might have seen it happening in some other local board and I won't say people from poor countries, is best you specify the country and no country would like to be addressed in that way in as much as I myself respect you opinion. But some how what you're saying about these whole thing getting to destroy the merit system is true. I think that some merit source in some local board are really strict and they don't just give merit to any post just to help out their fellow compatriots in ranking up to join a higher paid campaign, to me I won't want anything to mess things up concerning the merit system as it is, before one has to get a merit he/she has to earn it.
1677  Economy / Economics / Re: Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? on: July 19, 2023, 02:24:34 AM
There are many diverse opinions about following one's passion and wealth. I read two stories of people who followed their passion, and in a short period of time, the businesses became very profitable.

In story 1, Defossey left a job at Apple to open a BBQ restaurant in Mexico City. It made $9 million in sales last year. In story 2, Sean Audet, a 30-year-old, spent $0 launching a food photography side hustle, and now he brings in $134,000 a year.

The people in these stories followed their passion and created wealth through it. What is your opinion on following one's passion in relation to wealth? Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? If yes, what is stopping you from following it?

Following your passion sometimes can lead to regret and it mustn't mean that it will always yield a positive result at the end, the two names you mentioned are people who followed how they feel about something and it worked for them and mind you it doesn't mean if you on the other hand follow the same way that it will work for you, so to me I don't feel following your passion will ALWAYS work for you. It can only create a cage of regret and hate for yourself, imagine you have a better monthly pay job and you say you'd like to quit that job and establish your own along the line it might turn up to be bad for you so is a 2 ways thing, to either get it right or live in regret.
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 18, 2023, 10:15:11 AM
I don't really know why such a player such as Mane could be having issues with a great club as Bayern Munich, they don't want him any more but why go for someone you know quite alright that it won't take up to a year to get tired of him? Mane is a good player and if Bayern Munich are planning on getting rid of the player I feel he should return back to the EPL. He has better memories over there and he can do better, I wish Chelsea or Arsenal could get his signature now that he can go anywhere he wants, it's going to be a great addition to the any of these teams (Chelsea or Arsenal).
did you not see Mane performance in Munich?
I don't doubt Mane performance in the Bundesliga but Bayern Munich disappointment that they had to wisely sell Mane to another team. you should know that Munich currently has a target of getting the UCL title and is aggressively looking for the best players to help Bayern Munich achieve its target.
there is no choice but Mane must choose to return to the EPL or fly to saudi arabia.

Hold on a minute, what are you saying concerning Mane?
How many seasons has he played for the Bayern Munich side? He just got in the squad and they're acting desperate of getting the UCL like what are they expecting from a guy who just started with a new team new atmosphere, come on, to me I feel there's something we really don't know about the Bayern Munich decision on letting Mane go. Mane is a very good player which he showcase at Liverpool so I think they're not telling us something or the reason why.
If he makes a move to any club I'd like it better but I'd prefer he goes to a place where he can compete for trophies like the UCL to enable him being shortlisted for the Ballon dor.

Sweetie, you kiddin'?  When I joined the forum there was mud being slung from all corners of the forum, from Legendary to Legendary, DT members included, and every rank all the way down to Newbie was getting splattered with it.  You registered last year, and if I assume you're not an alt of an older account, then I guess you missed the drama with: Quickseller, OgNasty, Vod, Lauda, owlcatz, nullius, cryptohunter, and about five times the number of members I just listed because I forgot a lot of their names.

It's been like a calm and sunny desert island here compared to how it was back in 2015-17 or so.  You ought to browse Meta in December 2017-January 2018, right up to when the merit system got dropped on everyone as if the Enola Gay was making a second pass and bitcointalk was next door neighbors with Hiroshima.  The forum exploded and the ensuing chaos did not die down for months.  Fond memories.

You've really stayed long enough to experience those battle days on this forum, can't really remember where I was during those years you mentioned 2015-2017.
Then if all you said is what it is, then this is just the beginning of the show but my concern is why are we having all these blasting from all corners not from new members but old members. The reason why I'm worried is because I wasn't expecting all I'm seeing to happen but since it has being happening then let it be, who knows one day it will be you and I 😂 (I don't wish for that please).😅
