1681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: October 09, 2022, 05:43:46 AM
I have no idea how the company/school do regular background check to their staff related to gambling activity. From my perspective, gambling is something personal. It should have nothing to do with their job. Company may do something if their staff gambling activity affect their job, but the staffs do nothing wrong with their job, I think the company cant do anything unless there is a prior terms/rules related to gambling that is applied to their staffs. However I have to agree that we should care about our own reputation but if it is related to gambling, I do not care what people say about me because I am a gambler.
Yes the Company or institution should never interfere with the personal matters of anyone. But the person who personally do gambling in his life so he/she should never impact his/her addiction to anyone. Means he/she should never promote any web or any casino to members of company or institution. He/she should avoid from these kind of activities.
I agree. You'll never know the impact of gambling to other people if you influence them. If you're playing for fun and with discipline, we cant be certain that others will do the same. Thus keeping it to ourselves are much better. As long as gambling doesnt affect your personal life, work performance and the company itself, then you can gamble without minding other people's judgement. There's no need to explain if you're not a bad influence.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino games plebs like us must play on: October 09, 2022, 04:23:05 AM
Am a casino pleb myself, but I disagree with your advice about playing games only with the lowest house edge. Why? Because house edge isn't everything. Some of my biggest wins were from games with high house edge.
Indeed. Biggest wins can also be found to other games that have high house edge.

Well, it's a good idea to choose a game with low house edge for your own benefit but I think before that, ask ourselves if that's the game we prefer to play or the one that can entertain us more. If you're more concern on the house edge then probably you are a kind of gambler who's afraid to lose your money (or should I say not prepared) despite knowing the risk if you gamble it. There are plenty of games that we can choose from even we our plebs, moreover it's nice to win if you least expect it because you're just playing to entertain yourself.
1683  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 09, 2022, 03:31:59 AM
We do really have different targets or goals.I do remember up those days where people do really need up and strive their best on getting Rollbot but due into its price then only whales could really able to afford that.

Even myself is really into that time where i do really love to purchase one considering into its perks and bonuses or benefits that you could really get on having one.

Lots had been saying that with the bonuses and benefits alone, you had already ROI'ed out. This is why lots had been really eyeing on getting one.
It's been almost a year since Rollbit launched their Rollbot NFTs and its pre-sale happened. Just like other, i'm also one of those who tried to join the pre-sale but failed. I didnt qualify then the public sale is expensive for me to buy. Those who bought the v1 rollbots are lucky compared to v2. If you're a Rollbit gambler owning a Rollbot is really beneficial.

1685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 13 years ago... on: October 07, 2022, 04:13:02 AM
How does this make you feel?
It's impressive to know how Bitcoin's price started. I have this regret on why I didnt know or bought Bitcoin on its earlier stage. But even I bought Bitcoin back then at cheaper price (2015), im still not confident to hold it for long period and was tempted to sell at low price after seeing an improvement, not knowing it can increase further. Hence I failed to hold longer. So asking me now how does it feel? I still have regrets but there's no point on dwelling in the past. Thus, if you dont want to miss the same opportunity again, dont repeat the same mistake since you're already aware of its history.
1686  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin will always remain the best choice on: October 07, 2022, 01:42:42 AM
For investment, yes offcourse BTC is best option because bif volatility but for spending in daily use I like only my own country currency for easy acceptable everywhere
One of the reason why we cant use Bitcoin as currency for daily use is, it's not widely accepted yet by small merchants, most of them are not even aware yet of its existence. But despite this Bitcoin is still way better, unlike fiat no one is running it and you have an option if you want to use it as currency or take advantage its volatility.

Bitcoin has been known to reach a new All-time-high in price after every bear market, so I'd suggest you accumulate as much coins as you can before everything goes back up again. Just my thoughts Grin
That's true. Many of us are having frustration during bearish season because of the price of crypto but if we look into its positive side, it's actually a chance for us to buy (this is only for investors who believe in Bitcoin and its future). Bear market is a time to accumulate since we'll never know when might the market turns bullish again.
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be true? on: October 07, 2022, 01:02:25 AM
Is it possible to invest 100$ in altcoin and turn to 7,000$? Have this ever happened to anyone on here? Is this even possible?.
It's possible. I experienced it before actually, but only with 40x of my initial investment. It's a risky move and not advisable since the coin that I invested in is a shitcoin, just pure hype. I just tried and was lucky to sell at the right time during its peaked price. If you want to have such return, it's possible to new coins who doesnt reach its ATH yet. However if you're looking for less risky investment then choose an established coins because it's already proven to be profitable as well but not with the return that you like it to be.
1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the safest bet for 3X to 5X return? on: October 06, 2022, 07:15:24 AM
Hi everyone!

I have around 40k usd and I'm looking for a 2 years investment.

What is the safest bet in your opinion?

- Bitcoin,
- Ethereum, or
- Solana?

I'm expecting a 4x in avarage... Thank you!  Grin
I'll go for Bitcoin and ETH because these coins are already well-established. However the chances to achieve your 4x investment return is possible in Solana since the previous ath is not as expensive compared to Bitcoin and eth. But if you're looking for the safest then go for the well-established coins because they are already proven to be worthy to hold though you might need to extend your set period since it might take longer years before these coins can achieve your target price.
1689  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 06, 2022, 03:10:45 AM
Most time we blame our government and economy for being poor. Although they contribute largely to the masses poverty but we also need to work on ourself to make a difference out of the bad economy.
True. Some people keep on blaming the Government (particularly the leader) for their hardships because they're relying too much for the programs, benefits, pensions etc. and not doing something to help themselves. If you're born poor it doesnt mean you will live like that forever because that depends on how you drive yourself. The problem is many people used to depend on other people's kindness and dont want to stand on their own. A kind of person who like to be spoon-fed. Well, If you're lazy dont expect that you'll achieve something, if you want to change then start to strive now.
1690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If I get heart Attack that is because of BITCOIN on: October 06, 2022, 01:34:33 AM
Hi guys I think I might have heart Attack cause when I buy Bitcoin it goes to lows and when I sell Bitcoin it goes higher and today I sold my all Bitcoin earnings that were 200 dollars and than. BITCOIN starting pumping very hard and that was very very annoying to me. What should I do about this?
This is the reason why we need to manage our emotions especially when we trade/invest. Because not all the time our decision is suitable for what's going to happen since we can't really predict the next move of the market. As a trader, you should be prepared for a situation like this since it's not something new.

Many of us experienced the same of what you have been through but we can still manage and moved on and didnt let this affect us negatively. I think you're not prepared for this kind of way to earn, it seems you dont know the risk. Anyway dont forget to have yourself check because health is wealth.
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 05, 2022, 09:34:36 AM
If you're a gamer or someone is a gamer and would like to try to gamble in online casinos will it become an easy transition as all the elements of gambling are present when you're a gamer, or does a gamer have to start all over again, and have a different motivation and mindset?
It's an easy transition since you already have an idea given that both have their own similarities. I believe a gamer is like a gambler since you have this eagerness to win the game. The difference is if you're a gamer it's more on entertainment while in gambling you have this goal to win not only because you're enjoying the game but because there's a real money involved that you put at stake. Both can be addicted too thus it still depends how you control yourself.
1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: October 05, 2022, 08:58:26 AM
I won't risk my children to delve into gambling for what I know only a few who are capable of making money in that industry because the stories or experiences from relatives and friends, most of them ended up in debt.
The biggest problem they would face is addiction and it is very hard to develop discipline and mental capacity to fight this. I wouldn't like my children getting addicted into something that can ruin their whole life with a low possibility of being successful in the long-term.
I don't think any parent wants to see their children get into gambling, spend a lot of money, or become addicted.
Even if the children play gambling for fun, the parents don't want to see it because it can damage the mentality.
Addiction is a problem that their children can have; when it happens to their children, they will find it difficult to cure.
That's why as parents, we must always supervise our children from the wrong association with their friends to grow up well.
But in op's example that is not the case. The father (Michael Jordan) failed to discipline his son and let him gamble and spent huge money in gambling. Yes they're well off people and can do what they want. The father also gamble but he's already matured to know what's right or wrong, thus his child's action just shows what kind of father he is. Parents are supposed to be the ones to teach and guide their children because it's our responsibility. It's really true that our style of parenting affects our kid's behavior.
1693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 05, 2022, 12:55:33 AM
Bear and Bull market are both important. Bear is the time to accumulate and bull market is the time to sell and profit from what you invested. It's part of the cycle and investors who used to seeing these seasons are aware on how to take advantage it for their own gains. But if we're going to compare on what investors prefer between the two then it's probably the bull since everyone is active in trading and has their own strategy to maximize their profit.

For newbies, engaging themselves in crypto during bearish season is a good choice since it's the time to fill their bags. They just need to educate themselves on how crypto work, what to expect if they invest and the risk associated with it.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 05:46:03 AM
If you invest at this time then you will definitely be able to reap huge benefits as I believe that Bitcoin price will increase greatly by 2023.
Bearish season is indeed a good time to buy Bitcoin because the price is quite cheap. However many investors are still hesitating due to their fear that the price might turn downward further so they want to buy at the bottom which we can't pin point exactly. Some of us prefer to buy when the market is already recovering to join the ride but since crypto is high volatile anything is possible to happen because it's unpredicted, therefore we're not certain if the recovery is continues and there's no correction that might happen. That's why if you invest, have less expectation since there's no guarantee to gain. Buy and hold for long period because Bitcoin is best as long term investment, that being said patience is a must.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: October 04, 2022, 01:06:09 AM
Here in our place, any physical form of gambling is not allowed (only in our city because in nearby cities it's not prohibited). If you're caught playing you will have to pay the fine or worse you'll get imprison. Thus the only way to gamble is through online since it's not restricted.

I'm not a core gambler and though I set aside a money meant for leisure monthly, it doesnt mean I cant stop my gambling activity if it's already prohibited. I only gamble for fun thus it's also not hard to stop if necessary because there are also other ways to entertain ourselves.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 433 Winners to split $4,015,156.265 6/55 Grand Lotto Jackpot on: October 04, 2022, 12:30:12 AM
As everyone might have expressed above ... we are all agree that math never lies , human nature do . Sorry to say that most asians i have ever met had a very strong corrupt mentality ( no offense intended ) just my personal experience and this might caused by that.

This strory waaaay too makes no sense but a real life troll, period.

I don't know why PCSO didn't even think that there will really be a criticism once they released the 433 winners.

Even if that's really legit, it's really hard to accept it in any way. The jackpot is so huge that makes me think that they don't want that money to end up in 1 or 2 winners that's why they take advantage of it.
I have doubt as well if these 433 winners are real and not an agenda of the people behind to get a portion of the prize. There are winners already who showed their tickets to prove that they're really legit however many winners are still not showing up.  If im not mistaken this is the first time in PH history to have such number of winners. Lottery is a game of chance we know it's also possible to happen, but they must prove that no irregularity happened by showing the tickets of all the winners.
1697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How about investing into altcoins? on: October 03, 2022, 05:54:10 AM
Investing in altcoins during bear market might turn into suicide mission. It will be very hard to choose a proper altcoin to invest. Everyone, even old and reputed projects, try to look like a gem, but bear market easily and quickly clears market from weak and useless projects. The only reasonable advice that can be given - invest only in reach altcoins. In altcoins that have huge funds behind, investors and etc. Unfortunately, even innovative and progressive ideas fail nowadays.
It's really hard to invest in altcoins during this time because we're not certain if this specific project can survive the bearish season and it's still uncertain if we are already in bottom or might plunged further. However we also know this is the time to fill our bags, we just need to be careful in choosing what coins to invest in. A proper research is necessary because as you have pointed out even popular coins are having a hard time to recover particularly Bitcoin. Thus dont rush to invest and take time gaining information for the coins that you would like to invest in, if possible avoid shitcoins.
1698  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa kaba sa my mga bitcoin or any crypto noon? on: October 03, 2022, 04:25:28 AM
Omsim! Dapat talaga ganto mindset natin kung papasok tayo sa kahit anong klaseng investment mapa-crypto o hindi as long as kumita tayo, no need na mag-doubt o mag-isip ng malalim dahil profit is profit unlike sa iba na nalugi especially yung mga late na nakapasok or yung mga sumabay sa hype at naiwan na lang bigla.

Sang-ayon din ako sa ganitong mind set.  As  long as my profit na tayo sa pagbenta ng hawak nating cryptocurrency, dapat maging kuntento na tayo.  In the first place, pinlano naman nating makapagbenta on the said amount.

1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: October 03, 2022, 01:26:12 AM
Not surprised tbh, it was expected a year ago but for obvious reasons, they delayed the gambling ban and the team has announced it a few weeks ago on social media. They specifically mentioned crypto gambling websites because of the popularity in recent years, dunno Train or Roshtain will continue their streaming career on alternative stream platforms or will stop streaming slots. Maybe DLive will be the next station for most of the gambling streams after Stake's decision.

Looks like DLive is the next big thing in the gambling world, as the 18th of October approaches, I see more and more people talking about DLive. I am not so big fan of streamers, especially the ones who gamble with crazy high amounts, I believe it's rigged, most likely they are playing for the house, so it's just some kind of marketing... I am not sure if will I register there and follow all that, probably not! That's probably a good question, how many people from here tried DLive already? And for others who didn't will they?

if one door closes, another will open, so to speak. so if twitch will ban gambling streaming, there will always be another platform that will accommodate these streamers. and one is the DLive. it may not be popular today, but give it a time, and soon they will be racking up with streamers also. that's the beauty of business, if one door closes, there will be more windows that will open to these people. this is not the end of the streaming world for gamblers.
That's true. These streamers will look for other platform to continue what they used to and probably DLive is the next to accomodate these streamers. They will start from scratch again but I think it will not be hard compared if you're a beginner since you somehow established yourself to your viewers. Anyway, just want to clarify if the casino has a US licensed, does this mean it's still allowed to stream slots, dice etc.?
1700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: October 03, 2022, 12:56:27 AM
My assessment is that this is simply a case of irresponsible parenting and problem gambling.
It's indeed a perfect example of an irresponsible parenting. How could someone used her child as a collateral? A mother who's in her right mind would never do that. The mother has a gambling addiction problem and it is in worst point since she's not in her right mind already. Anyway, what happened to the kid? I hope his custody is taken away to his irresponsible parent. Gambling is not bad if you are a discipline gambler who can control yourself otherwise it can put you into a worse sutuation just like the woman in this news.
