681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 28, 2023, 03:03:10 AM
If you are aware that your neighbor living next door is into drug dealing and he come seek your advice how to buy Bitcoin, will you teach him?

What comes straight to mind is embezzling the ill-gotten money, but is this even safe? My other neighbor knows I am into Bitcoin and he learned from me, I guess that's how this other neighbor knew, I told him to go meet the next neighbor but he said he is not ready to teach.

What will you do if something like this is happening around you? Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin if not for a safer haven for running the business?

My mind isn't settled as I keep thinking different things, what is on your mind readers?
The fact that he is a drug dealer, he can use Bitcoin as an alternative to fiat when he is transacting. But I don't want to judge, he might have other purpose for wanting to learn how to buy and use Bitcoin.

Anyway, to answer the question, since I know what he is up to, I don't want to be the one to teach him even we're neighbors. Drug dealing is a criminal act and has a heavy punishment here. So associating myself to this neighbor is not a good idea.
682  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: July 28, 2023, 01:51:08 AM
How do you define financial stability for yourself? Do you believe that there's a thing as too much money? With what kind of income would you be satisfied and felt successful, at least in the sector of finances. Is it the more, the better?
Financial stability for me is when you have more than enough. I mean, you're not just earning a stable income but has other resources to gain more, like a business, a side hustle etc. (aside from your real job).

Of course it's always best to have more since you won't struggle financially and that's satisfying to see the fruits of your hardwork. Thus, if you want to become financially stable don't settle for just one source to earn. So if there's an opportunity grab it, don't hesitate for the welfare of your family.
683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: July 27, 2023, 05:26:21 AM
The people who say that that the price might drop at X USD and might go up at Y USD are all just predicting, even if they have an extensive research and thorough analysis, the market will always be unpredictable.
I agree. The market is unpredictable so we really can't pin point if we already reach the bottom or the price might start to climb up already. We're just speculating so it would be better to engage yourself based on your own analysis and understanding.

The people that don't want to buy even if the price continues to drop are the people that won't be satisfied and are indecisive when it comes to investing, they will never get in and always waiting for their right price.
That type of investor is waiting for the right time. However due to their worries that the price might plunged after buying, they can't decide when to enter. Well, if you're going to hold for long term, buying at anytime is fine (though much better if the price is declining). Just keep in mind to only invest what you can afford to lose. This way you don't have to rely on the money that you invest and won't get tired to wait even it takes a long period before you can gain.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with shitcoiners without being harsh about reality. on: July 27, 2023, 02:30:14 AM
We can't coerce everyone to do as we say since we have different belief. In this case, your friends are believing a particular shitcoin can outperform Bitcoin, then so be it. You don't have to insist what you think is right, what matter is you already inform them. Therefore the decision depends if they're going to take your advice or follow what they think is more realistic to happen based on their belief.

Anyway experience is still the best teacher since we can learn a lesson from it and that's also how we realized that investing in shitcoins are not a good idea. These people will realize their mistakes if they already experience this for themselves.
685  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Make or Break on: July 27, 2023, 12:21:59 AM

686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 26, 2023, 08:10:33 AM
Now let's take this to a discuss; how correct is this statement? And is there any similar statement like that in your home-country that's popularly used among gamblers to encourage themselves from quiting gambling because they're losing?
I don't agree with the statement "if you quit, that's when you lose". Because if you did not, is there an assurance you'll get back what you lost or be a gainer? No right. Thus, if you know the risk of gambling you'll not get easily influence by this saying.

Or would you allow your decision to quit gambling to be affected by any popular statement among your fellow gamblers or it's a no no thing for you?
If I quit, it's because of my own decision and not because I am influence of what other gamblers have to say. You don't have to depend to anyone when making a decision and you don't have to listen unless it's for your own good. Like giving advice to have self-control or play in moderation.
687  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 26, 2023, 05:01:30 AM

It's kind of active promotions from their end which is why you see lot of members taking part in the art contest as rewards are also good with new category based themes making it more exciting. The above discussion was about previous games and rounds section promotion held in past but now there's not much of it on forum but you can find it on twitter to some extent.

Yeah everybody misses the promotions they did on the forum but they are not coming back anytime soon. It is understandable that the art contest is so popular as the prices they give out are pretty huge. If I would have any artistic talent, I would also participate in it but I have zero skills in that area lol.
Although they stop their past promotions, they still have signature campaign running for years so Roobet is still visible to us here. Moreover they're consistent on conducting an art contest which many artists are participating so it's a good thing.

Anyway, the deadline is near for the art contest. Don't miss the chance to participate, only few days left.

Roobet.com | Art contest "Casino Rooyale" | $2500 up for grabs! Ends August 1st
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if salaries were paid in BTC on: July 26, 2023, 02:39:03 AM
A friend of mine in our discussion today about Bitcoin was insisting that salaries and wages be paid in Bitcoin in some countries.
Is your friend want his salary to be paid in Bitcoin?
There are private companies already paying their employees in Bitcoin. But we can't expect the Government to push this idea on their agencies since fiat or their CBDC are what they recognized.

I was of the opinion that the government will not allow fiat to be replaced by Bitcoin .so what is your take on this will it be a positive move on the Bitcoin ecosystem or not
Of course if this happened it's good for Bitcoin for awareness and adoption specially for people who don't know its existence yet. Bitcoin can work as an alternative but the Government will not allow Bitcoin to be the main currency.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 25, 2023, 10:24:55 AM
Today, because of the possibility to win money through gambling, Many gamblers no longer gamble as way of being entertained, but have turned gambling into  their major source of income, this is abuse because gambling was never meant to be a source of income or livelihood to anyone, but rather, another way for players to entertain themselves.
That's the reality because many gamblers are thinking gambling can be a way for them to earn money. So even it is risky and there's no assurance, still, nothing can stop them. Majority of these gamblers are already addicted in gambling due to lack of control, mentally and physically.

On the other side, it's not a crime if you're a compulsive gambler and not necessary to be punished unless you're committing a crime just to sustain your gambling addiction since that's a different thing. Anyway, even it's already given that gambling is a way to entertain ourselves, it's obvious that gamblers can't follow this due to their behavior when playing. So we can't coerce them to only gamble with a desire to have fun if they have no discipline.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: July 25, 2023, 08:13:43 AM
Aside from sticking with reputable casinos, in order to avoid any future troubles or headaches, we must follow the terms and conditions of any casino platform we are interested to play with.  This will greatly reduce the chance of our account being flagged and we can have a smooth experience as a user and be able to withdraw the winnings without any problem.  Those who complain about the casino holding their withdrawals had been proven to have some issue because they failed to follow the casino TOS.
Reading the terms and condition is important for us to understand the rule and can prevent ourselves violating it so we can play and withdraw without issues. Choosing a reputable casino is a one thing because you can be at ease since the platform is not shady and unlikely to hold your money (incase you win a decent amount) unless you're an abusive gambler on their site.

Anyway, I never experience yet to win huge using a small bet. There are casinos where you can withdraw without KYC if you didn't exceeds the limit, otherwise, it is necessary to process your withdrawal. As I've said, if the casino is reputable, this is not an issue since they're legit and just doing what is needed.

692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading is perfect work for jobless peoples on: July 25, 2023, 12:45:59 AM
There are tons of people right now that are quitting their job just to go fulltime, but for those people who are just new to trading and they don't have an established strategy as well as track records on their monthly profit, it is not a good idea to quit their job and then do trading because we know that it takes more years before you'll have a good profit that you can make a living. Also, most people right now that are just starting out trading use it as a side hustle because they knew the risk of quitting their jobs.
The idea of working without boss and having a flexible time to trade are some of the reasons why people are switching career and go full-time as a trader. But the question is, if it can give a trader a profitable and stable income just like if you're working in a regular job wherein you're given a fixed pay.

In trading the profit is not guaranteed and it depends how good you are on making analysis for the particular situation, knowledgeable and has a working strategy to execute a success trade. Therefore it's better to try trading as your side hustle first. Then if you're confident that you can earn money that can sustain the financial needs of your family, maybe that's the time to go full-time.

694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 24, 2023, 07:54:47 AM
Will you feel envious? Ok with it? or motivated?
One thing came to my mind is, there are people meant to be an extremely lucky, that even you're not a regular bettor if it's meant for you no one can take it away. Honestly I envy the person for winning such amount but that's how lottery works, it's more on luck. I'm an occasional lottery bettor. I only buy ticket if I have numbers in mind or my kid's birthday is near.

Obviously, i'm not really a fan of lottery due to the slim chance of winning (though, the jackpot prize is really attractive that can change your life instantly). I still prefer a game that somehow I have a chance to win and not entirely relying on luck.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: July 24, 2023, 04:45:08 AM
My main focus on this thread is in this question: as a gambler do you place your bet according to the weight of your financial need or you're always okay with whatever amount that comes out as potential win no matter how small amount?

I bet according to what I can only afford to lose and not because i'm aiming for a huge win. Well it's really nice to be lucky and hit a jackpot but placing bets because you have a target amount to win is not a good idea. Though this depends on the gambler itself on how he/she manage his bankroll.

If your goal is a huge gains then you also need to put a decent amount at stake. Therefore when the situation is not favor in you then it can result to more losses. So it's better to place a bet (that you can afford) because it can turn to huge amount if you're playing a certain game (like slot) that can possibly give a high multiplier and of course a big win.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 24, 2023, 02:03:16 AM
If you want to see a person full of hope and belief, then gamblers are the perfect example. The hope of winning and the belief to win is found in gambling. Even if you tell them that gambling is risky and the result may come out differently (not in his favor), they refuses to accept it and have 100% belief that they will win at any cost.
There are gamblers thinking that way even they know the chances to lose their money is high. It's because of their expectation that gambling is the answer to increase their funds easily. Though we know it's hard to win in gambling, they still keep on playing and just ignore the fact that you can lose your money if you're not lucky.

Well, it's not bad to play and believe you could win however don't get your hopes too high. If you do so, then that's the start of the problem because it can lead to addiction if you can't control yourself since you're hoping to win.

699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 23, 2023, 08:59:06 AM
In the world to day gambling is leading instead of BitcoinBTC (crypto currency) and more are still wanting to join gambling because the minimum age to gamble is 18+ and lot of upcomings are waiting and this is the total amount of gamblers, so let's talk about the crypto currency (Bitcoin) we all know that Bitcoin is a good investment and it has changed a lot in the crypto world but the interesting part is that the numbers of Bitcoin investors can't be compared to gamble and my question is Why? or  is the risk involved in Bitcoin higher than gambling risk?
Just chesk this source
Gambling is already existing for a very long years and it's popular to many people (either online or offline) hence it's not surprising if the number of gamblers are way higher than those investing in Bitcoin. Moreover, why compare Bitcoin into it? Their difference is already explained in your source so if you'll take time to read then you'll understand why.

In addition, many people gamble because of the quick profit and don't want to spend their money on investment since it can take time before they can see the result.
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: July 23, 2023, 05:52:40 AM
~snip~

So as a gambler,  I think it better to avod those bonus rather than losing your entire balance trying to meet their requirements,  so at best we must remain thankful to those casinos that have given a low wager requirements because that way player can easily pass through them and come out with something tangible for themselves at the end of the day.
^Definitely right and as a fellow gambler, I completely agree with your perspective. Bonuses offered by casinos can be enticing, but it is important to be cautious about the wagering requirements attached to them or much better to read always the terms or TOS for the sensitive terms. Some bonuses come with very high wagering requirements, making it challenging for players to fulfill them and withdraw any winnings.
Instead of risking your entire balance trying to meet these high requirements, it is often wiser to focus on casinos that offer lower wagering requirements. By doing so, players have a better chance of successfully completing the wagering and walking away with tangible winnings and that is only my personal opinion.
Indeed. When a casino is offering a bonus or promotion without the need for gamblers to make a deposit, that's really attractive since it's free money to play. Gamblers are able to experience and try the games that the casino is offering. However, don't expect to withdraw the winnings easily because certainly it has wagering requirement that a gambler needs to fulfill. If you don't want to deal with these requirements (before you can enjoy your profit from the bonus) then just use your own money to gamble, simple as that.

Thus don't expect the casino to give you free funds to play without conditions because it's a business. They will need these bonus/promotions to attract many gamblers as possible to play on their site. Moreover always read the TOS so you know the rules. It's a basic thing to do that gamblers sometimes ignore for thinking casinos often have the same rules.
