I don't think so. The coin is just a small part of what these guys are doing. Their focus is on CoinsSource.com I think. They state roughly 10k available to miners. So there wasn't a real need to make a big deal about the coin. I've been solo mining since yesterday and have gotten some blocks. There must be others doing the same because there are way more blocks being solved than just me. Edit: Just solo mining on an old linux box that I built the source on and am running sourcecoind with setgenerate true. Not many coins but it's some. Had to pay .1 to send to my windows wallet. Any updates on mac wallet development? Well there needs to be a working Mac wallet. I'll donate 100 Logicoins towards a bounty for a working Mac wallet. Haven't heard anything. I just posted before I read this. |

CommunityCoin, BlackCoin, FairCoin all down 50%+ while other coins are all up 10+%. Anyone see a pattern here? All POS coins without miners forming the backbone. The only reason BlackCoin rose the last days is because of major pumping and dumping. The smart traders pumped the value and got out. Now that they are gone it plummets leaving nothing but bagholders out btc.
You can't make a coin, distribute it to a few, and expect people to just give you btc. These POS coins will all fail in the end.

This morning one of our team members computer had a hard-drive failure, and as a consequence many files were lost including one of our COMM coin depot wallet, with approximately 196.8 mil COMMs in it. Despite all efforts we are not able to recover the wallet, and unfortunately no backup was made for this wallet (while we made backups for other wallets, this one was somehow missed as it was created later than others). The miners form the backbone of the coin. The keep the coin going because they will be rewarded for their work. This coin was given away to a few by a dev that will not tolerate any descent. It is like brutal regime. People keep in line out of fear they will get no more free coins. There is also issue with 20% of coins that dev is not aggressive in addressing. Managed to register 3 stakes with some throwaway btct accounts with history dating back few years  I got this idea after 1 of mine other accounts was hacked, password changed and acc used to claim a COMM stake and promote/pump comm. Free money!, can't complain -- on the way to exchange now. Prepare for the big dump guys. I am sorry to see this coin die this way, because of a greedy dev, after offering so much potential. I will need to read the topic you posted, but what I proposed was block any transactions using that input, in this case it wouldn't be any better import the backup as the transaction wouldn't be accepted by any node. If this doesn't work we can always plan a new blockchain and an exchange between old coins and new ones. What I think is people don't need to care much about this, it will be solved one way or another. I would recommend anyone willing to improve the profits to check http://WeMineALL.com or other similar options. WeMineAll is from the same creators of WeMineLTC, they work with 0% fee and only ask anyone to configure a donation percentage (although it is not required). As everything in life it also has its pros and cons, anyone willing to use these other options will need to create accounts and setup the miners accordingly (do not forget to setup auto-payout to be sent to the BTC address you got from our multipool). If you develop one coin with whatever methods you use to select the stakeholders, there are still bias, there are still a lot of ppl complain. Raising the stakeholders share to two 2m means that I can expect 1 more million?
Well there are 470 first round stakeholders and according to the post 330 made the cut for the second round (me excluded), but there are only enough coins to pay 300 people for second round at 1 million. Why this was not adjusted, I don't know. Ironically, there are now 20 million more coins on Poloniex and both Polo and Bittrex are being dumped into. I don't think the post gives any indication for how they chose to exclude an additional 30 people because of the shortfall. I gift some COMM coins to my friends to popularize the COMM.I try to trade it in the exchange to increase the activity and volumes,buy and sell,just because i think the mintpal may be inspect the new coin's volumes to decide whether or not to add it.And i still voting the COMM in the mintpal every day every hours.

Why was there such a focus to get this coin on exchanges before anything else? And then 200 million gone because of a hard drive failure. And no backup? Ever heard of a flash drive? Why two years to send the vouchers out? That's more of a sprinkle than a drop. You need to get them all out sooner than two years don't you think?
I think they should be a little more subtle. People are going to get those in the mail and see "Free Money" and think it's just more junk mail. You should tone those down. Have you had them all printed? If not i would get rid of the "Free Money" on the next batch. You're sending them out in Silicon Valley. That's a pretty wealthy area. It will take more than a few bucks to get those people to respond.

That fixed it for me.
Also, No database folder is being created in Windows 7 both 32 and 64 bit. I just installed on another computer and it's stuck as well and there is no database folder in "username/appdata/roaming/logicoin"
